Hmm.

Not sure I like the paint job, but they do look a bit better as a Squad.

Just not convinced on the clenched power fists - and the petards look too dangly.

On the contrary, I like it a lot. It visually states what the Moritat is capable of - firing a lot of times without stopping. I'm curious about a belt-fed bolt pistol option, though.

I just noticed, the bottom right tyrant had a cybernetic leg, that's pretty nifty. The more I look at them, the more I start to see things that I like. With just abit of plasticard plating and greenstuff cabling I think they can really improve and have that feeling they can wade through fields of fire.

Now I'm all excited to get my hands on them, that didn't take long!

They look awesome. I've been waiting for these since I first saw the art in the old HH books. I hope they do the Ultramarine version soon.

It is the furrowed brow on the helmets that is unnatural to me. It makes them look too angry. I know they are traitor legions and all but that pointed brow gets me.

The black rage is within us all. Lies offer no shield against the inevitable. You speak of donning the black of duty for the red of brotherhood; but it is the black of rage you shall wear when the darkness comes for you.

Looks a lot like the Ralph McQuarrie version of Vader's helmet.

i think the helmets are my favorite part of the Siege Terminator sculpts
they look really mean...
a full squad of cyclone launchers is pretty cool, too...

i wonder if an Ultramarine version would have a tamer, more traditional helmet design, though???
i have a feeling that they would, and then both sides would be happy...

i love the over-the-top look of the Moritat weapons!!!
i can't wait to get a pair of these

FW always makes me happy...
until i have to prep the casts for painting, that is :(

I love those Siege Tyrant helmets, they've got a little bit of stahlhelm, and a lot of skull going on. They're the first Iron Warriors unit I feel Forgeworld has gotten "right" with the Heresy.

Moritat is too cool for school too.

It was in reference to the cables/etc "spoil[ing] the gunslinger image completely". It's an artefact of when I started that post, as that was all once sentence at first, but I think it still makes sense the way it is (even if "on the contrary, I like it" doesn't work on its own).

"So I was at the Las Vegas Open this weekend and there was a Forgeworld both. I spoke with the event Director from gams workshop and was asking him lots of questions. He wasn't able to tell me a ton about the book but when I said that I really hopped we would see more modles then what have come out in the last year he said There is a very high probability that we will see new modles from the Tau. Then I said I hope there not fast attack and he said you will be happy." ~ Chris in the Social ATT Forum FEB 07 2017.

This is star date March 14 2017 and these are the continuing adventures of the forum dakka. It's continuing mission to find a non-space marine FW release. This book is approaching mythical status. I wish they would just say yes or no. Delayed or not. All this waiting is killing me and if I knew it wasn't any chance of being soon I would stop worrying about it.

Just lots of Ad-Mech for me.

So far I've got a burgeoning Heresy era force, lots of Cult Mechanicus, plenty Skitarii, four Knights and an Ordinatus.

Want moar.

Speaking of moar, must remember to pick up another box of Skitarii. Got the Hoplite upgrade set in need of bodies. And I really want to try Haywiring my Ork opponent's Stompa to death with them....

It's not a space marine kit. Only space marine kits matter now, anything else is "while stock lasts". So what if it's a nice looking model for a popular army, and even one with good rules (IIRC), if they dump the Hornet molds they can free up space for another set of space marine shoulder pads.

The IW terminators are dull ... I will pass on them ... I already have IW Cataphractii shoulder pads and will use them on my plastic termies from the BoC box.

Not sure about the Moritat ... I think one as a Raven Guard will make his way on my painting table ...

Hopefully the second printing of Inferno will be available soon ...

Think it's more likely that the mold is buggered. Not scrapping it because space marines. Lose the tin foil hat, man.

Molds can be replaced. If this was an important space marine kit they'd make a new set of molds from the original master (or even a cast from the existing inventory) and continue production. But because it's only an Eldar kit it's not a priority, and any inconvenience at all means the end of production. And it's hardly "tinfoil hat" when it's pretty clear that, as 30k has become their entire focus, stuff from all the other product lines has been disappearing. IIRC there have even been explicit comments from FW staff about having limited space for inventory and molds, and discontinuing stuff to make room for 30k.

If there's demand for Hornets then they'll consider bringing them back I'm sure.

Space Marine stuff gets discontinued too. Lucius pattern drop pod hath snuffed it fairly recently.

You never know if it's that popular they may be porting it over to a plastic kit to go with the new eldar

Not once models go "sold out" and disappear from the site. That's permanent death, and I can't think of any that have come back from it.

That's one of the few exceptions, probably because most people just used normal drop pods as a proxy. Meanwhile model after model from non-marine product lines has disappeared. And support in rules, new products, etc, for anything but 30k has dropped to almost nothing. Aside from a couple Tau releases and a promise that someday there will be another 40k book it's been all 30k for a very long time.

This hasn't happened in a long time. GW figured out that there's no reason to release a plastic version of a resin kit (like the old Valkyrie, Piranha, etc) that people have already bought when they can make up a whole new plastic kit that nobody owns yet. The only exception is the plastic 30k space marines. And with things like flyers GW has had opportunities to use existing FW designs and rejected them in favor of new (and IMO much less appealing) plastic kits.
