Guys, they're not saying wearing fur is unacceptable. The fur trade is what they hate. Still, I don't see why banning fur from miniatures helps anything, seeing as PETA probably doesn't exist in 40k.

Its funny to me because god forbid a character wears an animals fur, but when the same character screams into battle beheading their opponent and wearing the persons head as a trophy its completely okay.

Yeah I do. I have no doubt more people will see it for what it is, this thread is full of them for example. This thread however also has one person who confessed to previously having a favourable opinion of them. I confess to having one until I looked into it. I'm not saying it is the end times but it is one more reason/excuse for some people to look down on us.

The problem is too many people ask what is PETA about? Oh they are all about helping animals? That's cool. I like PETA. That might even be true on the surface of it, at least in some particular instances but if you look into theirs methods, see the specific usually specious arguments and accusations, well despite being under an otherwise valid and worthy cause, they are not actually helping that cause or being valid and worthy.

Good point though about people already having a low opinion of the hobby. That is fair enough.
