Great job on the finished captain, cloak really helps adding another point of interest and optimized shield looks very cool.

Mostly, on my phone.

Lovely job, really like the cloak and gem work.

Very nice work on the Captain and he slots right in with your painted minis. Interesting size comparisons going on there for sure.

The Custodes turned out pretty well in the end. I’m pleased you keep the blue gem, it’s cool, even gives him a bit of a frosty look with the sword. The striking bit for me with the last pic though, is that the sisters of silence seem to be taller than. the old marines.

Thank you Viterbi, there was some indecision about putting the cloak on him but glad I did.

Much appreciated Youwashock.

Thank you TH, I am trying for a small unified force of UM and some imperial agents, not sure if it will do well on the tabletop but for a narrative game it could work.

Yeah it is surprising how much larger the sisters are when next to the old marines. Even the custodes seems a bit small standing next to the MW lt.

I would love to say yes, but... it is part of the cape. And a bugger to paint, .

I am having a bit of painter burn out will sift thru what there is built and see what strikes my fancy.

Thank you for looking.

Something Eldar perhaps?

@Gitz took a look thru the pile of grey Eldar but nothing jumped out at me. Came across Kharne though and the heretic in my said, “Yeah that’s the ticket!” I’ve entered him in the monthly painting challenge hoping to stay motivated.

Thanks for looking.

Cool, Kharne is a great choice. Will he have much pre-heresy armour showing through or be full on khorne red?

I am going full on red, was tempted to paint him in the heresy era armour but since I’ve not had a lot of time to paint lately red is quicker.

Here is round 2 of the paint splatter. Really need to look into other metallics my GWs seem to seperate rather quickly and don’t cover well.

I have some alcohol-based metallics that are outstanding (best gold I've ever seen), but they are a PITA to work with.

Yorkright,

Yes, GW metallic colors do separate and make for poor coverage. I shake mine really well after doing a stir with a coffee stirrer the handle the issue.

My two cents,

CB

Good progress Yorkright, and regarding metallics, the Vallejo Metal Color line is superb and you can mix your own metallics from them.

. Thank you Captain Brown. Though I do shake them well never thought about a stir stick.

. Thank you TH. I’ve got some Vallejo air paints will try them out.

Added a tuft to the base and am calling him done. Again thanks for the input and the kind words.
