a 3+ save tends to make the Repulsor significantly worse than a land raider. Vs 0 AP or -3 AP (IE lascannons) weapons a land raider will save twice as often. Sure, most of the stats look the same except the one that matters the most.

Sorry gents, those aren't upgrades, they're a studio conversion competition to showcase the Primaris kits. They did five or six IIRC and picked the Iron Hand as the winner.

There *is* an Ultramarines Primaris Upgrade Kit shown though(it's pretty medicore), so they will likely come out eventually with the other codices.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?

Dude in the respirator looks cranky. I'm trying to figure out if it's because the other guys all got the guns with box mags and he got stuck with the 2nd-rate 'spare' weapon, or if he's just trying to work out why the mag won't go into the solid port on the bottom of the gun...

Meanwhile, sarge is all 'Crikey, is that the time? I'm missing Days of our Lives for this.'

Some lovely conversion work in there, though.

This isn't a Dark Angel people! Is obviously a Guardian of the Covenant, a Sucessor chapter of the original Dark Angels!
That to have near 0 lore are very cool both in their colours and in the fact that they are THE monastic space marines. Even more than Dark Angels. You know, they spend time writting old books, arts, and they ALL wear robes.

So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

I haven't really looked at them side by side, but are the hands of Primaries Marines the same size as regular marines? If the hands are close in size, conversions might be a little easier. Especially when it comes to close combat weapons.

The hands are workable but the length of most CCWs just isn't going to work. Terminator weapons seem to be closer in size to what I would expect.. actually.. think I'll compare my termie power sword to the one that came in the DI box..

Terminator hands might be a good option anyway. They are generally more robust, so they might look a little better.

And whether the 3+ matters more than the fly is entirely down to your opponent. If they intend on lascannoning it to death 2+ is better, if their plan was to tie LR equivalent vehicles up with rhinos or bikes, fly is better.

It's just a standard oldMarine head. Only the robes were a sculpt.

Terminator weapons look good on restartes. Deathwatch kit is OK but the arms are a little bit on the weedy side - if you set them nice and low on the shoulder joint and cover that with the shoulderpad it's not that noticeable, and if you wanted you could beef out the forearm with a bit of GS.

Those models are all just conversions and kit bashes. Nicely done but not new models.

Based on his frown it appears Brother-Sergeant Brofistus somehow has over 13 million; heresy is suspected.

I do like the look of the Intercessors though. Looking forward to them coming out in a couple weeks. I've liked the look of pretty much all the Primaris units released thus far, though the Repulsor does stretch that a bit. The infantry have all been very nice IMO.

I will say it's nice to see some actual marines with something other than two close combat weapons or holding a boltgun. The small things make the squad stand out (the slung boltguns, the boltgun w/ the launcher and sling, the marine changes magazines, etc.) It's nice to see stuff like that. Would like to see an actual kneeling marine sometime, or even a few at a jog/run.

Id love a set of kneeling legs for Primaris. I usually save them and convert up wrist communicators for the kneelers, and this box set comes with one standard

My only complaint with the Marine changing his mag is they stuck him into a photo shoot with a unit carrying auto bolt rifles, so he's loading the wrong mag.

They don't need to be surprising to be objectionable.

They fall somewhere in between the "normal" SM plastics and Terminator hands - they have the more "squared off" armour plate of a Terminator rather than the tapering one from SM, but they're not quite as big. The closes match are Deathwatch hands IMO.

I didnt even notice that, I was too distracted by the fact he's trying to insert the magazine into a solid metal surface. The mag well appears to be filled in. Looks really dumb.
