So why you have a Greater Daemon of Tzeentch as avatar, Brother?

Generic characters disappearing? Elite units of your army losing options and customizations? No longer finding that motivation to convert?

Well, there was two models for chaos orks in the
freedbooterz range, so the concept isn't new.

When you think about it, the range also had that
genestealer hybrid dude,
so the orkind can definitely be infected in various ways...

It's a minority I'm happy to be in. The ugly design of almost the entire Death Guard range saved me a good $700+. No complaints here.

I'm in agreement with Elbows here: these Termie are definitely a step up from those Plague Marines we got but in no way are they good looking. I hope FW will continue to produce their Plague Marine/Termie kits, there work is so much nicer.

I'm with Elbows on this one. The design is just silly. Way over the top, over crowded, too much going on. For me the design is just comical. Typhus is

Yeah. Turns out the whole Nurgle release is ending up being pretty monopose.

This combined with the artwork pretty much matching the new miniatures and units not getting rules to fit with their army because GW don't make that exact miniature is what happens when you have a company that lives in perpetual fear of other companies making conversion bits.

I'd expect most releases going forward being mostly monopose. The Primaris characters for example are in the same boat.

"Courage and Honour. I hear you murmur these words in the mist, in their wake I hear your hearts beat harder with false conviction seeking to convince yourselves that a brave death has meaning.
There is no courage to be found here my nephews, no honour to be had. Your souls will join the trillion others in the mist shrieking uselessly to eternity, weeping for the empire you could not save.

To the unfaithful, I bring holy plagues ripe with enlightenment. To the devout, I bring the blessing of immortality through the kiss of sacred rot.
And to you, new-born sons of Gulliman, to you flesh crafted puppets of a failing Imperium I bring the holiest gift of all.... Silence."

I'm a new Death Guard player so I don't know if its a change of aesthetic or just personal preference that's setting some people off but I for one love the new Death Guard sculpts. They're an army that looks as horrific and disturbing as they should be.

That's just my opinion though. You could still easily just use FW stuff for cleaner looking models

Aye, I hope they cut out this cluttered mono-pose stuff before the WE codex comes out (I swear, if they mess up Angron's model...).

Im not really a nurgle guy (justbpassing though the thread tonsee whats going on) but in a way I kinda liked the thought of nurgle necrons because itbeother reflects how desperate some of them are to return to a living form, and/or that nurgle has the power to bring them back to life, only to make them suffer from his “gifts”- kinda being a Necron worsr nightmare.

I understand maybe not liking a lot of the models, but so far the Primarchs we have (Magnus, Roboute, and Mortarion) are pretty gorgeous and about what I imagined them to be. Even if I don't like Nipple Horns haha!

I'd expect them to do a correct looking Angron when they get to it.

Well it doesn't talk about Nurglecrons so to speak but Necrons that have been infected by the Ferric Blight, which means they're slowly rusting away

I like these myself, I think a lot of the dislike is it being a bit less gruesome than some of really good custom stuff people have done. Which is what I think people were hoping for, even if that isn't realistic.

I think people were hoping for less maws and grins and more guts/gore and rot and pus. I like most of the new sculpts, but they are a lot less grimdark than how I always pictured them being. And the paintjobs don't do them any favors...and I think that is a big part of the problem.

People shouldn't be so shocked about monopose models from now on. It cuts down on the Bitz sellers and 3rd party options.

It really doesn't cut down on 3rd parties and bits sellers at all.

If people are annoyed that the kits are monopose and somewhere like Spellcrow and EvilCraft offer multipart kits, in what way is this discouraging 3rd parties?

If you dislike the new Deathshroud, except for their Manreapers, or want to convert your own - or if you have terminators you want to use at Blightkings but need Blight Launchers, how is this discouraging bits sellers?

if anything, this represents an opportunity for those 3rd parties

I find that on average the monopose models look better because while their are less individual poses those present are done better than the stiff-looking poses produced by multi-pose. Also, many multi pose miniatures realistically only have a positions they can be put in without looking ridiculous. But I understand its a subjective thing.

I would note that not all GWs recent releases are mono-pose; all of the Kharadron infantry units are multi pose, for example.

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

But, as stated, it also cuts down on cuts down on the Bitz sellers and 3rd party options, which is far more important to the people making them than creativity is.

Virtually all of them.

Granted, we haven't seen the basic Plague Marine kit, but the two Terminator kits do not inspire confidence.

As I pointed out earlier, the plague marines have separate legs, torsos, helmets, backpacks and arms. This can be seen from the available images.

Yet all the pictures show the legs/torsos in the same position each time. And the few arms are in the same position each time.

I'd be careful assuming too much. Depending on how the bellies are cut on the inside, they may only fit one pair of legs. Arms really depend on what they hold. I'd expect separate arms to fit any Plague Marine, while arms holding the same weapon may require a specific torso because they got a lot going on on the torso front.

But yeah, posing options keep decreasing as time goes by. Shame, really.

Magnus is a real beauty, Morty is pretty good (he's growing on me) but Girlyman is an awful sculpt. They've been very hit and miss with the Primarchs models so far: some features they got absolutely right but others...

Just gotta cross my fingers and hope Angron is a hit.

The biggest thing I realized about any model is that you will never make everyone happy. What one person likes another will hate. As I said the majority of people really like the Nurgle and I understand some won't. I also agree that monopose models can suck. However, I think they have mitigated this with how much character each model has. Each looks unique and interesting. They only model I really am not sure if I like is Typhus. Ever since someone described his "jazz hand" and "look guys I found this scythe" I can't stop laughing about it. I will still buy the model, but think I prefer the old model more.
