……..um, yeah. Nope.

I live near Games Workshop and a comic book store that strongly prefer Shadespire and 40k over Fantasy/AoS. It it because of this that I am VERY glad I am saving money for just one game now.

So, can the Sequitors have three Greatmaces for the original five models, with 2 plus the Prime? Thats how Im reading their warscroll there.

I wonder if they are goong to be battleline, and if they are, how many points over Liberators will they be, since they are a direct upgrade.

They also have two different warscrolls:

https://www.games-workshop.com/resources/PDF/Downloads//ENG_Stormcast_Sequitors.pdf

https://www.games-workshop.com/resources/PDF/Downloads//ENG_Sequitors_Stormcast_2018.pdf

The first is from the easy to build, the latter is from the starter set.

Interesting !

I think the first link you provided is the more up-to-date version ; it includes a "redemption cache" which is probably an option from the future multi part plastic kit (see the attachment)

EDIT : the "Tempest blades" option can be seen on the right here (along with the redemption cache) :

Wait so they are gray plastic not gold? Even though I prefer the gray it's weird they say on the site otherwise.

Me too.

Should be a general rule: skeletal face/head is matched by skeletal every ofther exposed bit.

I really like the skeletal-headed crow on the base of the nearmost one. Quite cool in general for easy build figures. Might actually be tempted to pick them up (despite not needing anything else on my backlog). I've been using Wraiths to counts as ghouls for Mordheim.

Never looked close enough to spot it but now that you mention the bird I hope its a raven (not a crow) and thus a homage to Quath the Raven from Discworld; the winged mount of the DEATH of Rats (Quoth being into the whole deal for the eyeballs)

Are the free rules available somewhere? I looked on the GW site, didn’t have any luck.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

So wait, I’ve not seen any news on next week’s preorders. Is there anything about that I’ve missed?

This is a two week pre-order and will be released on the 30th. There's no new pre-orders on the 23rd for more releases on the 30th.

Well, it's all subjective isn't it? Personally the combination of skull faces, but thin, spectral arms is one of the things I like most about the Nighthaunts. It makes them look more creepy.

Battleline with allegiance and Lord Arcanum as general. 80 points for 3, so likely 120 for 5, making them a bit more than liberators which is appropriate. They perform better but not that much so.

Did I miss the discussion on the new green and blue technical paints? I love the idea of the “glow” shades/washes, but I hate that they made them direct only, and I fear they’ll be limited release.

That’s weird, I ordered one of each from Element Games where I placed my preorder.

'Webstore Exclusive' is a bit of a misnomer. If I recall correctly, your FLGS can get this product in but not with their usual discount.

Aye but consider that edition releases are going to generate vast sales for GW. Even with free rules releases on the website a lot of people are likely going to get at least one or two items in this. I suspect the Maligan Spells will be flying off the shelves and the Big Rule Book is always popular, plus all of the existing Sigmar fanbase is likely to get the Generals Handbook. Plus they've really bigged up Sigmar this time and suspect that in itself will generate even more sales.

So unlike a new faction, a new edition is going to be a lot lot more orders; so it makes sense to have a wider window of pre-orders. Considering that many will pre-order early it lets GW know exactly what is and isn't selling in vast volume and gives them two weeks to focus production to try and help bolster any potential gaps. Eg if GW didn't think many would get the Big Rule book and it turns out that was the only thing everyone ordered then they've got two weeks to get in more stock to try and avoid a shortfall at launch.

Worry not, July is likely to have at least two 40K codex (Orks and Space Wolves) whilst the first of August is likely to have Genestealer Cults then there's the launch of Titanicus in August.

They might be a limited release--but it would likely have more to do with stock on hand than any "BUY BUY BUY NOW!" deal. Remember that paints are done out of house.

July will have the Nighthaunt battletome (most likely on pre-order on the 30th) and the rest of the Nighthaunt releases. Then we're likely to see a new Stormcast battletome (the current one is already on 'Last Chance to Buy') and the new Sacrosanct models.
