So they actually will release Sisters of Battle based in the survey? Thats why they are designing the models now? Wow, thats... thats actually... a good thing, to hear your playerbase.

As long as I can give my giant Knight thing a weapon that isn't a plasma gun, I'll be thrilled to purchase it.

From the slightly blurry video the gunned up knight doesn't look as cool as the Cerastus ones, but still interesting.

It fits since Sisters are coming next year, I wager the survey showed that there was serious interest from a large body of gamers not just the vocal few on the facebook page every few weeks. Plus I guess from GW's point of view the metal sisters might not have been selling well so from their cost-benefit internally there were a few die-hards screaming for sisters and models that they couldn't sell. So when the survey goes "actually guys lots of people want them" it likely helped give them the greenlight to go "ok lets do it!"

Also that new knight actually looks kinda cool. I really hate myself for saying that but that may be what I end up getting for apocalypse scale games since it will be in plastic and far easier to build than the resin titans

Also, puts paid to all those rumors of 'sisters are done and just waiting for a window, blah de blah'. Nope, they were never even working on them until now.

They definitely owe that to the fan base to be extra transparent about the progress on Sisters. Good thing.

Most effective way to stop IP infringement.

Produce the models to go with the rules.

There are multiple non GW companies that have put out not sisters models. Putting out their own that are of high quality and stepping up to organized events with " only GW models" is better than legal action.

No doubt. It's amazing they have been so stubborn as to only start on Sisters... NOW.

Amazing reveal. It really is amazing when you compare this to the GW of old. Lots of information, multiple releases. Interacting with the community. Well done GW

I've had 3 wishes for 40k the past year:
- Digital list builder
- Updated rules for Deathwatch
- Updated models for Sisters

Looks like I found the genie in the lamp and he granted me an extra big stompy robot too!

I...I don't actually believe it. Like, I can read the words on the WHC page and I know what they say, but my brain just won't accept them.

Not a rumour. Not a marketing troll. Actual, literal, confirmed plastic Sisters.




As for the rest:

AoS CCG? Two of my least favourite things coming together to form one super least favourite thing, like a Voltron of dislike. Pass.

The new Knight. Eh...hmm. Not a fan? I dunno I think I'll need to see more to make a final decision, but at first glance it looks pretty derpy.

Warhammer Legends. OK? Not the WHF revival some of us wanted, I assume this is just a way for them to shunt the legacy WHF army lists off so they don't have to bother properly supporting them with points & balancing any more, but keeping them available in some form is better than just dumping the whole thing.

Deepkin are...well, it's hard to jump the shark when your army features actual sharks, but they're having a good go. Still, some of the models are rather nice, I like the guy with the scroll & octopus, the guy with the wind chimes is very cool, as are the weird eel-riders, and the shipwrecks are going to be useful.

Ahh the sweet sweet taste of being right, I think I'm going to go PM every hater who told me that GWs wasn't going to do a codex for every faction they listed in CA 2017.

There's a lot of interesting information to gleam from the Underworld cards. Looks like 120 additional cards in the second set; more Stormcast I assume along with Malignants and those are likely the starter box contents given the numbering. Screaming spirit for the set symbol as well. Not sure if that means anything to anyone.

Anvil should be much safer since the concept art they've been showing has more stuff that's less a direct lift if the GW aesthetic, depending on scale I want several of their "specialist" models. But yeah Shieldwolf are humped.

Well Im sure this will displease quite a few people but if you look closely at what little you can see of the art on the Stormcast card it looks like

A) The helmet in the background is a female Stormcast with a similar helmet to Neave Blacktalon

B) The weapon in the foreground is either a handaxe (like Neave) or a new stave-ish looking weapon

The significance being not that we are just getting a third Stormcast Shadespire warband, but also likely that they are related to whatever Stormcast warrior chamber the Knight Zephyros is supposed to be from. Meaning that we are likely going to get another Stormcast release this year for a new warrior chamber in AoS proper before the Shadespire warband. (Which matches up with the rumor of a new Stormcast vs Death starter box later this year)

Great for me with a Stormcast army, bad for everyone who doesn't like them as a concept I suppose.
