This question must be settled one and for all. Which of the crunchy, powdery flavor-blasted snacks is the superior?



(Full disclosure: I haven't had either snack in a decade or so. I didn't even know there were more than three flavors of Doritos.)

Totally cheetos . I never buy them, but if I'm in the same room as the jalepeno ones, I can't resist!

Doritos would be my second favorite, but it's not close . Both absolutely terrible food choices, of course...

its Doritos, its seriously not even close. they have a larger variety of flavors, hell theyre even in tacos!
besides we all know the stereotypical gamer loves his Mt. Dew and Doritos.
replace that with cheetos and see how wrong it feels.

I don't know what a Cheeto is, but if it's anything like a Wotsit, then it'll be vile. Most "cheese"-flavour corn crisps are. Doritos? They're OK. The lime-flavoured ones are best, IMO.

Neither are my crisp of choice, though. Golden Wonder salt & vinegar flavour are superior to both.

Doritos. As others have noted, they come in an astonishing variety of flavors. To my knowledge, they are also the only chip which can be used as self igniting nachos.

They are used as taco shells, and a regular snack bag can be converted into a walking taco simply by dumping some ground beef and lettuce in it.


Cheetos simply are, and what they are is great- but Doritos is superior because of its flexibility.

Doritos have flavor. Cheetos just taste...orange.

Although if I was going to eat a bag of one, and then pick up a miniature owned by someone I hated, Cheetos all the way. Nothing coats your fingers in toxic orange residue quite the same way.

Doritos and they aren't even my favourite chip which is Lays classic or maybe it's Pringles Original (can't decide). Doritos at least is good (not amazing though) plus it's much more versatile, whereas with Cheetos that's only a option if there's no other choices are available as powdered

cheese flavours almost always taste awful, never compares to melted cheese which is what most sane people think of as a good cheese topping not that cheese dust crap.

Doritos Cool Ranch are my jam. Especially when I visit Taco Bell.

Doritos are somewhat less disgusting than Cheetos, though. But still the worst tortillas I've ever tried. Even worse than French supermarket-own-brand tortillas (which always seem to be slightly stale for some reason).

I like both. Cheetos win out by a small margin.

I voted Doritos, but the crunchy kind of Cheetos are good too. Eating the puffy Cheetos is like what I imagine eating styrofoam packing peanuts to be like.

My favorite Doritos are the Spicy Nacho ones, but the regular Nacho Cheesy ones are great too. Never cared for Ranch. As for my favorite type of Cheetos, it would have to be the Habanero ones. If it ain't hot enough to melt your face off, IT AIN'T HOT ENOUGH! Problem is, I'm not sure the Habanero ones weren't a limited time thing.

It should also be noted that my actual favorite unhealthy crispy snack is Buffalo Wing-flavored Pringles. I just wish I could find them somewhere; as far as I've found out no stores around here stock them. Even the last place I knew of that had them, the gas station near my apartment, has quit carrying them.

One final thought: if you want a really hot, yet tasty snack, try Doritos Dinamita:

To be honest that was just the 90's in general everything got to be Xtreme, super edgy, mega cool, etc.

I have a serious kick for crunchy cheetos. Puffs are an abomination. On the other hand doritos nacho cheese are also wonderful. sigh. not sure I can make this decision....Can I say just dump them both together in a bowl?

Huge fan of pretzels as a snack.

I like Cheetos, but Doritos are better. My favorite flavor right now is the organic white cheddar kind.

I also love Paprika Tuc biscuits, which until recently, I also only found in the Netherlands.



Having said that, I voted Cheetos. Doritos are best when you have something to dip them in. Whenever in US cheetos are the go-to car snack.
