I'm hoping we find out who the owner of the Chaosy looking Plasma weapon is from the other weeks rumour engine at this Vigilus weekend.

Wasn't Mallet Obsidiot the owner of that?

Could it be possible that after over a year of Dark Imperium being the 8th Ed starter set, successfully introducing both the primaris and death guard model ranges, which i think its fair to say are now both flourishing, we see a new version with Primaris wave 2 VS Black Legion/Emperors children??

Of course the starter set will be the easier to build single pose models with the multi part kits following in a few months? Maybe an updated core rulebook ??

I'm guessing another box in the vein of Forgebane, Tooth and Claw, etc. with Ultramarines and Genestealer Cults.

Could it be Marneus Calgar as a banner bearer? He kind of lost his position with Gulliman coming back and making himself the symbol of Gulliman could work as a new role. Similar to the way that Malcador carried the Emperor’s standard.

I see it as more likely that he might die -- paving the way for the first Primaris Chapter Master of a Founding Legion ?

Cue a very angry captain of the first company, Agememom or something.

Maybe all the high ranking Ultras died in a freak pict-recorder accident, and so they found Primaris Brother Ralphius, working as a pianist in a bar on Calth, to be next in line for Chapter Master?

WTF is going on in that picture?

I see IG and Crimson fists attacking Orks and Skitarii, with some Ork allies...

Could we see Abaddon finally ascend?

I totally get why he hasn’t. He may be a Traitor, but I’m not all convinced that to this point he’s properly sold out.

That, and the Big Four aren’t that keen on shared ascension since Belakor went somewhat tits up.

But when the chips are down (and Abaddon did get a bloody nose over Cadia, being forced into desperate measures), perhaps he’s actuslly insane enough to embrace Daemonhood at long last?

I hope not, the thing that makes him interesting is the fact that he can play as himself and juggle all 4 ruinous powers. mak,ing him 40k NuArcheon would be super lame.

I kind of hope he doesn’t. But given he’s about to go up against a Bone Fide Primarch, I can understand the change in perspective.

The orks in that picture are definitely fighting more Primaris marines in the right of the image. I'm sure we'll see the rest of the image this weekend.

Brazen Claws being an Iron Hands successor chapter also has me happy. Iron Hands definitely got the shortest end of the stick across GW attention/lore.

You mean the Power Sword and Bolt Pistol LT? Yeah, he is pretty great, and it isn't often we see a SM that is firing his sidearm when he has a power weapon. Honestly, if they recut the Primaris Ancient from Dark Imperium and sold him separate, I bet he would sell. But instead, we are probably going to get a brand new one that isn't quite as good, but has a bunch of new options that aren't in the codex. But I have one of the Dark Imperium Ancients for each of my main SM armies, so I am good.

Probably still a ton of DI Ancients floating around unused. Hard to sell a $45 CAD single mini while that's the case.

That said, the Primaris characters are mostly pretty easy to convert. I'm working on filling my Librarian, Chaplain and Apothecary needs from Dark Imperium spares and Reiver bits.

That's exactly what Archaon does though...

Would recommend Talon of Horus and Black Legion to anyone interested in The Black Legion or Abby. It's made clear that he's not going to make the same mistakes as his father. This is a big thing for The Black Legion, seeing their fathers as failures that ultimately abandoned them after ascending to daemnhood. Primarch shouldn't be that big a deal since the two need to be evenly matched for the sake of the narrative. Abaddon is as big as Horus, so maybe bigger than Guilliman and him being a clone of Horus is still a possibility. Khayon outright tells him that he thinks he is a clone of Horus. GW will probably just hand wave it away since it's all metaphysical and chaosy so what matter is that Abaddons will is strong enough.

It would be nice for more of the succesor chapters to get some time in the sun. Especially with the introduction of the Primaris and the Ultima founding.

Well your technically right, but I consider Drognar(sp) to basically be them making him a greater demon. To me he went from a menacing general to a tacked on bit to a massive multi headed mutant dragon. In abadons case it would be him getting the giant CG model treatment which I think strips him of what little humanity he has left and thus makes him far less menacing and turns him into a boss fight from a video game.

Are those actually orks in the top centre left? Could see them as chaos marines.
