It's a high demand Lootin' item!
I'd be very surprised if that's the item being "teased".

They don't, thought BA guy also has iron halo-esque thingy and that didn't translate to anything in his rules:

Shaving horns, cutting tentacles and sealing unwanted mouthes on your body is a daily routine for Plague Marines. If you forget that, you can't even wear power armour at some point and finally look like this.

Its an affliction that affects another one of the upcoming Plague Marines. Maybe he'll give his helmet to his nurgling friend?
I love that each model so far has a nurgling/worm/daemon familiar.

Good to see a second guy with flail, that one Marine in the multipose Set was... lonesome. I like that most of them have a helmeted Version, I'd probably always choose these even though the Bolter guy looks pretty awesome and is a nice nod to 2nd Edition Version. I'd give the sorcerer a helmet as well.

Man I really hate the way they are making drops and drips lately. Giant oversized cartoon teardrop shapes, with multiples stacked in a row. It looks really odd and poorly executed. I don't mind stuff oozing out of parts, but make it look right at least. It makes even less sense to put so much on when they sell technical paints for it also.
