That would be fantastic, and make the job of integrating them into my other WGA miniatures even easier. I'll likely be using then next to my WGA German Infantry 1916-18, so this would help them blend in really well.

WGA _did_ run an informal poll with a variety of different sci-fi heads a week or two ago, maybe those are connected.

"...and special thanks to Judgedoug!" - Alessio Cavatore "Now you've gone too far Doug! ... Too far... " - Rick Priestley "I've decided that I'd rather not have you as a member of TMP." - Editor, The Miniatures Page "I'd rather put my testicles through a mangle than spend any time gaming with you." - Richard, TooFatLardies "We need a Doug Craig in every store." - Warlord Games "Thank you for being here, Judge Doug!" - Adam Troke

Disappointment. When they said they'd preview in a few days I was hoping that would be today.

Even though it really looks like it, I hope it isn't Eisenkern. They already have a Space Nazis kit (and the whole Space Nazis theme is overdone anyway). I'd rather they continue focusing on more original designs, like their Space Napoleonics.

I’d be interested in some Space Ancients.

Raumjäger are space-bundeswehr, not space-nazis.

Well I'd be interested in some space Americans from the Vietnam War...
I'd also like to see some troops leaning into a Cyberpunk police/near future aesthetic.

From the Wargames Atlantic website.

Even before they became the famed Raumjager of the Death Fields circuit, this group of human warriors were an elite German parachute unit - the Fallschirmjäger.

One moment they were trying to stem the tide of the Allied advance near Carentan, the next they found themselves light years from Earth - prisoners of fantastic beings with even more fantastic technologies. The men of Fallschirmjäger Regiment 6, 7th Kompanie had been taken, like many of the finest warriors before them, to become gladiators in the galaxy's greatest sport: the sport of war.

The Battle of Carentan was part of Operation Overlord, the invasion of German-occupied Western Europe in 1944. The Fallschirmjäger were the paratrooper branch of the German Luftwaffe before and during World War II.

Um no, they are explicitedly '44 Wehrmacht.

You could also use them for different games and settings!
I mean, nothing particular comes to mind right now but I'm sure there is just such a proxy opportunity somewhere.

And here we go!

The Return of Mark Mondragon's Iron Core!

They're bringing them back, with retooled designs for them. I am hoping that either means new heads or a more fitting scale for them. Or potentially both

Cheers WGA and Mark, glad to see these return!

Edit: Looks like they are better scaled! Really glad to see this! Full preview can be found here!

So yeah looks like a license deal for the STL designs themselves, with brand new tools

These are definitely rescaled. The old ones were 32mm, not 28mm. I'm totally surprised that they will be developing the Protectorate too. Looking forward to Shadowkesh. For the price they are quoting I am going to assume that these have been simplified a bit (WGA style)

Here's how the old ones were scaled, so you can see a definite change in scale between the two.

Looks like they come with some of the weapons and heads from the command kit or the tank hunters kit.

I still have a bunch of Eisenkern left on the sprue...and yet I’m excited for this. I hope WGA has some alternative heads coming out.

It is a license deal, we have been working with Mark to retool them.

I collect:

Grand alliance death (whole alliance)

Stormcast eternals

Slaves to Darkness - currently Nurgle but may expand to undivided.

Does this mean we will get shadowkesh and other Iron kore kits in the future?

Great to see them back (now you can use the originals as Primeris and the new ones as originals if you want)

I'll certainly get some at some point, but not quite yet as I want to order enough for free shipping and I only need one box to start

(If they get popular enough maybe they can consider redeeming the half track which is going to fit whatever size the minis are)

Nice! I hope these do well. I also hope that we get some non german helmet designs for them. As much as I love the helmet design, I'm just ready for something new.

I hope these and the Panzerjagers are very successful. Not only do I want to see the Shadokesh, but I feel a more simplified Valkir kit could become the go-to kit for power armored marines the way the Grognards and the Raumsjager are the go-to kits for Imperial Guard.

if the first sets sell well, probably. We've got the eisenkern on preorder and jager in the pipeline.

I just now saw the email. So the third kit will likely be the space soviets? I’m so in for those.

@Lord Marcus. When are the Gurkhas coming out?

Also, if WGA is taking suggestions for Deathfields kits, the Chindits, or taking them from the pages of Ranks of Bronze Roman legionaries of the late Republic.

I don't know if it's just me or were they considerably reworked but I like the new ones a whole lot more. But maybe it's just that it's the first time I see them as painted models rather than renders?

I was wholly unimpressed when the news broke but now I am getting the box for sure.

As someone who backed the original plastics kickstarter years and year ago, I am so glad that the designs have found a new home. They really are superlative multipart plastics and the prospect of more Iron Core designs (like greatcoat wearing Soviets with laser ppsh) is very exciting

I'm sure Barzam and myself will be dipping back in for more.

Were the Valkir the heavy troopers? I liked those sculpts a lot. Always wished they were a bit bulkier but that's my personal preferences showing.
Definitely curious to see the Soviets.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

The valkir are indeed the heavy armour variant (and the only ones i'm looking forward to less as I have a fair few of the orignals, and think the new size diffrerence will make them look even better)

Lord Marcus, if you are developing a sprue or head variants, could we get a Valkir-Knight-style head sized to fit on an Eisenkern body as an alternative to the German helmets? I’d also love to see a head with an elaborate, high-peaked cap, much more highly peaked than the DFG Eisenkern officer hats.
