Yeah I think there was a mention of a female Resistance sprue soon.

I reckon it's reasonable for us to game with a few more women than bore arms historically. Certainly it's clear that there were vast numbers of women involved in the Resistance, just mostly not in direct combat roles. But given most games don't have game mechanics for a lot of the support roles, let's give them submachineguns too.

I saw a rumor there will be a second box of women of the resistance.

As I understand it companies are unwilling to mix men and women on the same sprue since the hands and arms won't look right.
Not sure the arms should be that noticeably different in this scale, but especially on these small sprues WA produce, a single set should never try to cover too much. If the bodies are of a type that can't be used for both (due to physique or type of clothing for example), options are massively limited by putting both male and female options on there - in this case, there could be 2 male and 2 female bodies and 7 heads for each, giving just 14 variant combinations and half of each gender would look broadly identical due to the shared bodies. At that stage, you're better of getting a few monopose metal figures. A second sprue with 4 female bodies and another 14 heads meanwhile offers up 56 variants for each. The same is true when companies combine armoured and unarmoured bodies and arms on a sprue; it rarely works well.

I'll be all over those lizards once they show up. Resistance too. All those extra guns will certainly find a way into the wrong hands!

I keep thinking they'll need some Victorian adversaries though.

A Highlander infantry kit with optional scifi bits would be a fun enemy! Could work with Death Fields or historicals, could cover a variety of units...

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

They also make assault rifles so the Lizards can fight your WW2 armies. Since the guys behind this kit are huge Turtledove fans, I would be surprised if there were no heads with chameleon eyes.

I’m still not sure why the Victorian era option was so popular. Were there Lizardmen in an Edgar Rice Burroughs novel or something?

My brain is clearly on something today. It took one look at that and thought "That'll be a cheap sprue to buy, with it only needing one body an all" *face/palm*

The resistance sprues are looking fab. I definitely need some of those for 7TV!

Fine looking model!

I really enjoyed those Turtledove novels - would make a cool rpg setting -

They seem to appear quite often in novels/shows set in that era and they were cool (if Roman) in the tv series

Those Lizard men look like they would make good Conscripts for my Guard army.

Anyone know if there will be enough rifles for all the models in the box?

While the John Tams version used for the BBC Sharpe's Rifles series was my introduction to "Over the Hills and Far Away", and while I do like it, I've come to prefer the Oueen Anne's War version of it.

And there are even older sets of lyrics.

the real question is will they mix will with the Perry riflemen? I bought a ton of those (individual sprues directly from them) and would definitely hope to mix them!

Earlier this year we did a poll for the best matched pair set of plastics and the winner was Conquistadores vs. Aztecs. We're very happy to show off the work that has gone into the Conquistador designs. Our goal is to make a set that works for the Conquest of Mexico as well as filling in your European armies of the early 16th century (or fantasy ones for that matter!)

These wonderful sculpts are by the very talented Rob Macfarlane.
