Thanks amazingturtles! Well, there's always the option of look but don't buy, but that doesn't always hold up well

Thanks youwashock! Had a short skimming of the thread here regarding yesterday's Q & A about the new rules. Seems interesting and truth be told, I played two games of 40k with one of my friends last year and for our approach to gaming the rules work just fine already.

With the new site showing sisters, I was half thinking it might be a 3 army box. I’m digging the mixed colours on my he intercessors’ shoulder pads.

Thanks gobert! Was very happy to see sisters featured so prominently in the trailer and on the new site and wouldn't have been averse to having some more of them in the starter

Thanks Captain Brown!

A little more progress, gonna have them finished soon, the Repentia's head is already painted and the sister's ones at least primed white.

Thanks, went for the hooded one. Both sisters are more or less done, only minor touchups after watching the closeup of the minis. Well and the sword of the superior.

Wow, you never see such vivid color combinations on SoB. Very striking, very cool.

Now showing The Fellowship of the Ring, along with some Dreadball Captains!

Painting total as of 4/13/2024: 31 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain

Dang! That teal armor just fits those Sisters of Battle like a glove. I love the heavy flamer one on the right. Is the one with the crossbow a conversion or an option in the new plastic kits? For some reason she's giving me major Stormcast vibes, couldn't tell you why.

Purple robes look great against the green. Nice contrast there.

My painting log is full of snakes

Thanks youwashock! She is one of my favorite models and hopefully will wreak havoc the next time I play Kill Team and bbq some orcs or necrons And I'm not even sure what the rules for the crossbolter are, but it looks so awesome, first saw it on Greyfax (who I have lying around waiting for assembly and a paintjob to match my sisters).

Thanks JoshInJapan! Color scheme was inspired by my marines, just love the combination of purple and turquoise.

Thanks Don Qui Hotep! She's stock build, all the normal options directly out of the kit. But funny that you mention Stormcasts, my scratchbuild terminator inquisitor got SCE shoulderpads.

Board pics of the finished models (with the addition of the finished Repentia and Arco-Flagellant). And because I'm unifying the base rims of all my imperial models, there will be some throwback pics, first up three of the first minis I painted after getting back into the hobby (and not having painted much the first time around).

Thanks youwashock! I was more happier with the Repentia before I had to repaint her eyes with brwon blobs. She had "real" ones, but because I had painted the head separately, they looked into the completely wrong direction I like to think that the Jokaero is taking those Inquisitors around

Thanks monkeytroll!

Today we have a One Day Rush. Playing a friend this evening and need a bit of firepower to tackle his Necron Overlord. Funnily enough this weapon should excel at that, but on the other hand it is nigh on useless on the normal warriors. Because the living metal rule in Kill Team works so that a 6 on an injury roll will see that damn metal skeleton walk again So a possible Damage 6 weapon is worse than a Damage 1.

And some supplies, already pondering how to paint the rhino, the Contrast over that much metal probably won't work, but I will give it a try and experiment with some other schemes as well. Want to differentiate them from my space marines rhino which is mainly Stegadon Scale Green and Screamer Pink accents.

Metals are not in it, the assassin is the plastic one. Will tell about Solbright, but may take some time, I want to get more of my primed stuff done, before I build new minis.

youwashock wrote:Whoa. Incoming!

Thanks youwashock! Always good, when you have a color scheme really down, makes painting one model so much easier. And she didn't even die in her first game. But didn't do much else either

squall018 wrote:I think Ive said this before about your space marines, but I really like this green armor. Its unique and stands out. Supply drop looks fun!

Thanks squall018! Would love the color for the marines armour more, if it was as easy to paint as the one's for my sisters, contrast is so much easier than washes

As if I hadn't aleady enough to build and paint But by my estimates it would only be enough to next summer, that's no time at all

ListenToMeWarriors wrote:All looking good here. Am especially looking forward to seeing you tackle the Stormcast characters, you do not see many of the big winged beasties about as it is not a cheap kit. Enjoy!

Thanks ListenToMeWarriors! Already contemplating a color scheme. I have 5 Sequitors painted from last year (picture at end of post) and tried a new scheme yesterday, which cost me an hour and gave the good Eternal a free bath in Biostrip Problem is doing the armour other than gold or silver, because finding two additional colors for the tabards that don't clash isn't that easy. Although seeing the old scheme, I still like and will probably keep it.

Currently working on the next three sisters from the sqad, excited for the one pulling the safety pin out with her teeth. Love it, that they made a new version of the classic model.

The five marines will be played as assault marines with bolt pistols and chainswords and will accompany my already done smash captain. Jump packs are getting painted separately.

Did the cherub for the squad, interesting mini to paint, really fun.

And (not all of) my primed models, gonna try and tackle as much of them as possible during June and July. Probably won't stick to my oath, that I won't build anything before I made a real dent

Last but not least a 2019 model with my SCE color scheme, may really stick to it.

Fulfilling my role as echo chamber and agreeing on both the cherub being very nice and the original stormcast scheme works well

Thanks Don Qui Hotep! After fiddling with some schemes I realised, that simple (as always) does it. Astrogranite, a shade (Ivary between armies) and than a light grey drybrush and snow. That's why I hate sculpted bases, they may look nice, but take effort

Today is a holiday in Germany so I used the time pre- and post-breakfast to finish the three sisters (so only four left of the squad) and made a little progress with the jumpy marines.

Thanks youwashock! Cherub was really helped by Contrast, nearly painted itself And I'll definitely stay with the SCE scheme, if it is so well liked all around.

Thanks Theo! I imagine that the combined firepower of Marines and Overlords would probably obliterate the other models before any casualties happen on the "good" side

Thanks DJJazzyJeff! I do hope so, I'm pretty sure that I will honor my promise to myself in June. July... another matter

My Assault Marines are progressing slowly, wanna do a bigger push this evening so I only have the heads left to paint, should be possible.
But to have something new here, another pic of models with unified base rims, the Guard half of my AM Kill Team. I really regret not having put other heads on the 5 ETB guardsmen, need to rectify this one of these days, they look to unruffled compared to the other lot.
And even if they are cannon fodder you may notice the orc skull on one base and the harlequin masque on another guardsman's shoulder. They got this in honor for in-game-achievements. Ringo Orcslayer managed to kill not one, but two orcs in HTH in one single game! Granted, my friend realised after the game that the second orc had two wounds, but still.
And George Aelfbane managed not only to survive all of a harlequins attacks, but kill the xenos scoundrel in return with one hearty stab of his bayonet.
The other three mostly die, when and if they make it from roster to starting in the game
