I too have been forced to read a romance novel by a girlfriend/spouse, and yes it sounds similar to descriptions within.

But is that really on topic

I mean, my dog works at gw and I heard that the next psychic awakening book would be called Psychic Awakening: Forbidden Desires, and it will include rules for Adeptus Custodes that expand the talons of the emperor. Youll be able to take Custodes units, primaris marines, arco-flagellants, repentia superiors, and the whole Drukhari codex in the same detachment.

.....

Ok ill stop.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

I feel like, at least in the contexts of romance novels, that's done intentionally so the reader can fill in the rest of the blanks with their own preferences.

A fair point but in the context of Primaris it's really bad.

Perhaps, but Black Library books are written from the point of view that you play or are aware of the game and its models. They assume you know what a Primaris looks like and don't need to fill in the gaps.

Because people reading this don't know what a primaris marine looks like?

Well in that case then. I cant wait for the Warhammer Romance imprint to start, so we can hear more about the adventures of the Custode, Sister of Silence and their forbidden romance and the temptation of the Primaris that is surely to be teased in the upcoming Psychic Awakening: Forbidden Desires.

In the upcoming WD there is a section for INDEX Space wolves, is this a true index, or just for primaris, or just a collection of short stories? Did DA and BA get primaris data sheets in PA or WD?

Right, so, just went through.. 50+(!) warnings generated regarding this thread, all about people not being able to stick to the topic at hand. While there is always some room for deviation when it comes to discussion, this isn't after all the N&R of 2010's when it was under the attempted iron fisted rule of some guy, but some of this stuff went well and far beyond the original topic of this thread.

Only going to ask this once nicely; kindly stay on topic, leave everything else out and if there is nothing to discuss, don't drag things off topic with pointless speculation, idle chatter about whether or not love can bloom or other GBS that could and should go into threads of their own instead.

The Dark Angels Index was just a fluff piece about how the Chapter has responded to and come to accept Primaris featuring a couple asides about Lazarus and the first Primaris members of both the Deathwing and Ravenwing followed by some pages of pictures. It was a non-event.

From the description, I really think Index Space Wolf is fluff + narrative mission rules. Nothing for tournaments.

On the cover picture, I am very intrigued by the weird greenish blueish dorsal thingy with feathers on it. Anyone know what the hell this is about?

Those are claws, not feathers. It's one of the countless wolf pelts the models have flared like a dramatic cape.

So these Index articles don't really have any rules? They're just big fluff pieces, essentially, right (and a mission, it seems)?

Just odd to do articles on things that are about to get big expansions and already have Codices. Why not pick Marine successors that don't get much of a look-in in the fluff?

Correct. Yeah, forgot about the mission because while I always enjoy more mission options, they're not worth the price of WD admission most times.

Index articles do have rules. They just updated Inquisition with an Index article a couple months ago.

Who knows, maybe the index will be the main push for the Space Wolves with some small add ons in PA.

Fair point. That said I'd assume nothing when it comes to GW and how they split things up.

I man, technically a new Narrative Mission is new rules.
Perhaps not new rules that a majority of the vocal playerbase cares about, but they are still technically new rules.

If its true, Ghaz and Ragnar in the same box is really surprising. As well as personally a bit off putting. A small Ork force could be fun for Kill Team, but I've no intention of going deep enough to warrant having a SC of Ghazghkull's importance(and price).

I doubt they'll struggle to sell a box with Ghaz and Ragnar in unless it is very stupidly priced.

You mean something like 250€, with the additional models being nothing new and the will argue that you still save worth 100 instead of waiting and buying them alone?

Their last few have been extra ridiculous. We'll see if that trend continues. But then I live in the US so pay the extra 30 percent feth the US tax the very rare times I purchase GW anymore. But hey, at least I don't live in Oz.

Yep all it and this does is take up space that could be used for other Chapters or heaven forbid a non marine force - especially since the Wulfs are getting their own PA book.

It specifcally states that they get a single mission in the white dwarf overview

You can also refight the events of the featured story, Evacuation of Sorilia, with the ensuing Crucible of War mission, Stand Firm
