Retro is great, got an 90ies Harlies blister off eBay earlier this year. But I also really like Nevelon's 'top of the pile of shame' / last pre-Corona purchase idea, maybe for a future round?!

Woo! Missed Midget Gems conversions! Good to see them back, and looks suitably loony. Being bold to do that many checks on such a short time, good luck!

Thanks Vejut, feels like haven't done a proper conversion in a while, yeah I need to get my act together and get these done, lots of diamonds to highlight, I have been calling them Looniquins

I'd be happy with another very open topic round.

Late entry for me! Started over the weekend but just getting the proof pic up.
We moved just before the lockdowns started, and I got to fully appreciate my pile of shame as I packed box after box.
Things are unpacked, and I'm going to tackle this little part of the pile.

I'm pretty sure I got this Chaos Champion at a games day 18, 19 years ago? About time to paint him

For anyone keeping score, I've now got 18 minis painted, 1 that just needs the base doing, and 4 just barely started. Two days to do them in. It's going to be tight.

Hmm, people starting now, people doing 20+ models. Some people paint too damn fast for my liking

My 2 will be finished today, for photographs tomorrow.

Great stuff guys!

My entry seems to be done.

The original idea was to build and paint two or three warlocks / seers on jetbikes.
The problem was that I lacked some parts to build the conversions I wanted. With most of the stores closed, I had to settle for just one.

I have also been repainting, or rather "enhancing" my old half painted models lately. But had too much color to qualify as an entry.

Here is the chosen proof picture (chose this out of the ones I posted on the first page):

And the finished result. A Warlock on a jetbike. Or a Farseer. Most likely will be played as a Warlock though.

Just leaving a note to remind myself that I've compiled the entries up to the end of page 2, will try and catch up tomorrow before the last day rush.

Anyone got any tips or tricks for photographing larger models/models on flying bases? I've gone for some big stuff this month, and it does not fit inside my rather meagre lghtbbox.

I just edited my post on page 2 to add another model i finished. Will it make the compilation?

I don't know about photographing bigger models. You can try hanging a solid poster or fabric behind it, curving under its own weight. Put the model on the poster/fabric and shine a light on it.

My entry is now complete. I present to you the Annihilator-pattern Predator Judah, of the Dark Angels 3rd Company:

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, even if the paintjob is a little basic. If I'd had time and more freehand skill, I could have added some nice details, but as it is, this will look okay on the tabletop (or more likely on my shelf since Predators are not exactly good right now). I look forward to seeing what everyone else comes up with; there are already some entries that should take all the votes when the time comes!

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
    Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

@lifeafter: Given Paradigm has made updates to the end of page 2, probably just safer to post them in a new entry here, rather than going back and editing old posts. Otherwise - should all be fine, looks good - and will give the rest of us a chance to see the new entries

Lots of good stuff already and nice to see so much different stuff. Here is my finished entry, I love the KO models but did not like painting them. But after three years in a box they are now ready to do battle.

I started April 1 with a nothing built Sisters of Battle Army Set and got through six! I'll take it, but I'm going to have to speed this up if I want to play any games before the next Sisters codex comes out...

Well everyone knew painting 13 miniatures in a month was imposibble for me. So the 5 Catachans are out of the picture and so is the bullgryn.
But I have almost finished the 5 scions the ogryn and Nork. If I can have one more day I will be able to finish them, especially since I am not working tomorrow.

Great looking entries guys, I see you took advantage of the quarantine, lotsa painted minis. I didn't paint that much, just one model...

I experimented a bit...like usual. I haven't seen many heavy weathered Tau models, so I tried to paint one.

    Glorious slate of entries, folks!

Here are my converted Zephyrim, built from the Seraphim out of the army box. Everyone got at least one arm/hand/weapon swap, and some of them two, plus I built the Pennant out of the Canoness arm left over from my last conversion ("Final Boss") and an old banner. I'm completely happy with the conversions and slightly less so with the paint... I bought new brushes and a new magnifier lamp halfway through, and there was a bit of a learning curve. I can't wait to see if they hit as hard on the table as it looks like they should!
