We're not even through the core game quests, but I'll definitely be picking this up.

Alternate color dice is a nice touch. Being able to roll simultaneously in the same dice tray can move things along even faster.

We didn’t get that one in the U.K. originally, so it’s going on my to-buy list for sure.

Never got the chance to play this one either, I think the only expansions I ever saw back in the day were Kellar's Keep and the Witch Lord.

So I have another update regarding the Gamezone debacle.

I made a PayPal refund request by canceling my order. At first Gamezone had a week to respond. They did not. I then escalated it further to PayPal, who gave them another week to respond. Like I suspected; no word from them. I got the money refunded by PayPal as they ruled in my favour.

This shows that it was yet another ploy to scam money from the original backers.

I suggest everyone who paid the additional 20ish€, also make a PayPal refund request. Maybe they will lose their PayPal account which would serve these scammers right imho.

I have tried a contact email just asking for a predicted shipping date. I'll give it a week and if no reply then I will take a similar route.

I just went for the "screw those guys" option.

I have enough games that I already don't play (this was not the case when the crowfunder launched ), with more on the way. Sure, it's money lost, but I've finally had enough of being a sucker.

On another note, I really like how we're getting all twelve mercenaries instead of just the interchangeable six.

For anyone else who is doing the same as me of holding on to a forlorn hope of Gamezone coming through (basically Wylie Coyote holding up a tiny umbrella while about to be crushed by a giant boulder) I got a response from their CS department.

I had asked for when the delivery of the HQ game was likely to happen. They couldn't give a date but said they are finalising an announcement which will provide information. No mention of when this will come.

They've been spinning people along with non committal responses or blaming Hasbro. A backer contacted Hasbro and they confirmed that Ludofilia have not yet exercised the option to purchase any of their HQ and they do not expect them to. Ludofilia have since responded to others that they did place the order - I wonder whos' lying? ah well fool me twice and all that at least the chargebacks in, I guess they tried to spin it out beyond the 120 days.

Predictable, but disappointing

(wonder if it's actionable in court or could be added to whatever court stuff i seem to rememeber was going slowly on? Perhaps worth sombody in the right country sending an email?)

But then... what happened with all those €20 paid to Ludofilia for the exchange to happen? This looks terrible. An explanation from Ludofilia is urgently needed. But... we're talking about Ludofilia. They are still under radio silence. In fact, in the article from JugamosTodos, they remember us that the release date for the exchange has expired (it was Q1 2022). Ludofilia talked about a delay, then promised an explanation that never happened. If any of you got into that €20 deal, my recommendation is to check if you are within the coverage period of your payment method, and ask Ludofilia what is happening."

Ludofilia: "According to that, I can tell you the HeroQuest order to Hasbro is already done and right now we are waiting to check if there's material in the warehouse or they have to produce every unit ordered. Gamezone statement - lots of words with no proof that either Tseuquest is actually off to print or that they ordered the Hasbro game - just another stalling tactic. They have at least finally removed the exchange option that apparently closed in December (but didn't).

Correct per Gamezones latest update they have said they will not be shipping any Hasbro exchanges until Tsuequest is shipped (whenever that might be) that's not what the original offer implied - while there was no set shipping date the closure date for exchanges implied a quick turn around not 7 or 8 months later or whenever we get enough money in.

I've received the money back from Paypal. Gamezone were in contact asking me to hold tight on the exchange as they had now ordered the exchange (no proof provided) - it's a standard email sent to anyone looking for a chargeback. I made it clear I wanted my money back and I expect Tseuquest when it's shipped per the original pledge (not that I expect to see it anytime soon). At the end of the day I'm no worse off than I was.

Anyway back to Hasbro

Heroquest is 40% off on the US Hasbro Pulse until Monday - the deal is 40% off anything over $75 so HQ qualifies automatically and would be $81 after discount. If you also add the expansions they would also be 40% off (but not on their own). Get all 3 for $122 - less than HQ is normally on it's own. Discount applied at checkout.
