Plus several things we'd never seen before at all. Here all we got was the special nundam suit character, the priest, and a different build of the celestian shieldbearers.

Thanks to everyone for the respectful explanations about the height difference. I only had that one photo to go by. I couldn't really tell the posture difference (it just looked like Sister Standard had a loooong torso).

First time we actually saw a whole unit of the shieldbearers, a Lord of fricking Terra, and a Priest.

Kragnos has been teased for quite some time now. Radukar from yesterday was basically guaranteed if you'd paid attention to some hints that were being dropped. Dire Wolves were a "duh" thing that basically anyone following availability knew in advance(they've been unable to be ordered for months, not "out of stock"--plain unavailable, which is what in normal years happens when a kit is either being redone or axed). Wolf-rider got namedropped before. The Mother of Nightmares was spoiled in the WD preview on Friday.

So yeah, I'm sorry today was not just full of hundreds of new models. But guess what? It never was going to be. We were going to see repeats of stuff in all likelihood, because that's what happens as we get closer to a release in the current method of previews.

We'd normally see that once the pre-pre-order article is released, wouldn't we? If Sunday confirms that, then we'll see that sort of content next week.

Unlike the Death Guard, it seems they've remembered to hold back WHC content to fit with the pre-order schedule this time.

Nah. We saw previews of the character/scenery piece a bit in advance if I remember right. In any regards, remember that we got info about some stuff already for AdMech...but it really was just too technical of info to be anything aside from "look, we're changing some things!". It's the kind of info that usually is better served for preview shows where they talk about changes to the codices rather than full articles.

You're not wrong - they could've probably mentioned the pre-order date for AdMech without too much of an issue, then confirmed the next three without an issue (SoB, Orks, ???), even if they didn't confirm the release months.

That's not what people want though. They want solid info. We "knew" April for AdMech but things blew up and things happened, and we're still waiting on the book and the one token Skitarii character that should have been released forever ago.

Maybe we'll see that on Friday.

I hope they don't waste time giving schedules. The previews are light enough as is.

I will say I'm glad I'm just hopping on WHC to read the article for these - don't think I want to deal with Twitch chat for long enough to watch these live

Just turn on Theater mode and you don't have to see the chat.

Because I like to watch some of the people here cry and think they're the only people in the entire hobby whose opinions matter.

There is my answer to your question. Now, answer my original one. Why come and cry about these game and be clearly miserable about it? There are many posters in this thread who clearly want nothing to do with the hobby, yet post extremely often to cry about it.

As far as I recall, all we've seen from the AdMech release is an article on weapon profile changes, which is probably due to reboxes with updated assembly instruction profiles making it into the wild. The character has been shown in another preview, but I don't think we've heard anything about what he does - might be wrong there, though.

 endlesswaltz123 wrote:

People may want solid info, but given that it sounds like things are a bit unsettled at GW, there's a limit on what they can (or will) provide. Confirming the release order for books we're reasonably sure (or actually know) are coming (AdMech, SoB) and possibly how another sub-faction is being released (Beastsnaggas - not sure if it is a new Ork 'dex or not at this point), along with maybe the faction after that would be good info, even if they didn't say the month for anything other than AdMech.

Maybe we'll see that on Friday.

I hope they don't waste time giving schedules. The previews are light enough as is.

I was thinking five minutes, tops - "And here are the next few books you've got to look forwards to" - with the first one we're not expecting as a sting in the tail of the preview.

Even better if it is a faction that needs some support, and even betterer if it came with a model tease.

Theater mode is an option, true, but in most decent streams chat adds to the experience, rather than detracting to it. I think I favour the more concise form of the article, too.

The only change I would make to the sisters battle suits is change the sisters arms to hold holy relics or a banner instead of controlling the suit. The Idea of a warsuit sister calmly praying in the mids carnage sounds awesome.

The character has been in two different previews, being teased out first in one and then revealed in another. The weapon profile changes article is the kind of thing we would get during the week-long runup to a release. We also got the "famous Techpriests and a Monkey" thing. We know more about Kragnos' stats and rules than we do the Marshal, who literally just got revealed and named and then...nothing. We don't even know if he's a fricking HQ.

That whole reveal of the AdMech book was basically a joke anyways. We saw the book and the Marshal and then...basically nothing else. No mention of how things might be changing, no mention of what the Marshal does, etc. We have more detail on Kragnos and the Sisters stuff than we do a book possibly going up for order in 2 weeks.

Really not sure about the SoB warsuit models. Just seems off brand. GW are going too hard on the space marines but girls angle for me and not quite enough religious zealots with institutional resources.

I'm really on the fence as well. Some of the motion shots from the reveal were a bit more flattering. It's possible the painting style is making them appear cleaner/higher tech than they need to be.

With so little to show, they could at least have previewed the full squad of halberd-wielding sisters too. Curious to see how the various poses work out with those.

Yet more named characters in plastic (while other options remain metal/resin), meh. Hoping for a move away from focussing on named characters feels increasingly futile.

Certainly hope the next previews will have more content, or they should indeed have simply condensed it all into a single 2-hour stream rather than spread over an entire week.

I've said in a few threads now that they seem to clean and almost viable to be a proper sisters unit... A sisters unit should be partially absolutely batS***T and very grimdark. Bigger penitent engines, or dual pilot engines, they shouldn't have a space marine predator either, that should be a massive cannon pushed along by penitents etc, basically medieval siege weapons, bristled with heavy bolters, flamers and meltas.

Give this man a job at GW!

I think the Sisters stuff works because its repurposed marine stuff, but yeah a huge siege cannon for FW with penitents dragging it along yes that's grim dark sister of battle! (or Chaos Cultists)

I think a designer just really has a hard-on for baby carriages. It didn't work for the Nemesis Dreadknights and was openly ridiculed by most, yet they tried it again and the SoB ones are not quite as terrible, mostly because the legs, but still bad.

It just looks stupid to strap a person to the front of a mech without an armoured cockpit.
