Subject: Everything you need to run a 9 week Crusade League

I run the Crusade League for At Ease Games in San Diego. We've just finished our fourth league, for which I wrote bespoke rules. Before I shelve them, I decided touch up the early missions with what I'd learned, and release the whole folder to the public. Here's the At Ease Games Crusade League: Lon'dan Campaign.
The folder includes our league rules and 9 weekly mission packets. During this league, we had 20 players who played at least 5 games. Practically, the league is casual pick-up games rather than a coordinated campaign. Therefore, the rules and narratives needed to be flexible and simple. Feel free to use them wholesale, or as a starting point for your own campaigns.

Having read only the league rules, I am envious of all those who got to take part in this!
I reckon I will take this and see if we can adapt it for my club - thank you so much for posting all of your work and good luck with your fifth one (which I assume is taking place soon)

Thanks mate, it was a riot. People have posted some great battle reports. Running the league has eaten up a lot of hobby time, but I did get one good battle report out myself.
Next league will be all 3 player free-for-alls based on the Treachery and Honor mission pack. The test games have been some of the most fun I've had in 40k, so I don't know how we'll top it for league 6.

Thanks for posting this- I read through the league rules and the first week- I will go through the rest too but it looks great so far. I will be curious to see the narrative arcs develop from week to week.

Originally the bonuses grew from week to week, culminating in the epic battle on the third mission. However, the rules being slightly different each week was its own kind of confusing. For instance, week 1 you'd re-roll one failed hit, then on week 2 you'd re-roll all 1s to hit. I learned to make the later weeks consistent, so I went back and changed the earlier ones in this folder.
My goal was to minimize extra rules to 1 narrative arc special rule and 1 narrative path special rule. Players really appreciated that, since they were already having to learn new missions each game. The league was designed to have soft resets after each 3 weeks, so you'd make new choices. That was good for simplicity, but I'm a little dissatisfied that choices don't carry over. Now that the first week's special rules are consistent, you could probably let players keep them. They did enjoy that their performance in the second arc directly impacted the third arc. That stretch of 6 games was probably the best, and keeping the week 1 bonuses would probably make the league perfect.
