See I've been in games against a number of opponents where they move a model, then come over to the other side of the table and check LOS from all of my stuff, and then go back and adjust, and repeat and repeat and repeat and repeat for every single thing they're moving. Then, three days after their movement phase began, they start shooting. And this was in the days before you could shoot at the tips of claws or at the tops of banner poles.

Oh, and Grotsnik, that's the tip of a claw on a Hive Tyrant's wing.

The old Turn Signals On A Land Raider joke, "Right in the Heraldry!", was meant to be just that: A joke! The fact that it's the actual rules right currently is abominable.

I knew some bright spark would come along and completely miss the point of the picture and what it represents.

I mean, it's a pretty obvious picture to figure out: It's a big building. There's the tip of a claw on a Hive Tyrant's wing sticking out a tiny bit from behind it.

If you can extrapolate what this obviously bad MS Paint job is is representing, then there's really no helping you.

And again with the "My Molecule!" joke that the creator had to post about it NOT being a misspelling of "monocle"(which he had drawn on the tank commander in question).

Poor CSM Players with Defilers will get a heart attack. As if they weren't punished enough already for having said model.

In fairness, that specific image is a pretty poor example of the problem, since it's only the fact that it's a bad MS Paint job which makes it a problem.

There's plenty of actual solid terrain which would work better for an example.

For those not understanding the picture.

The rest of the Tyrant model is hidden because the ruin is obscuring so anything actually behind any piece of the "footprint" of the building is invisible and can't be seen for ingame purposes. The only part that is visible to an enemy model is that little bit circled in red. Doesnt matter how huge or tall the model is or if the size of the openings in the terrain piece. If it is obscuring it is obscuring unless the model has an arbitrarily chosen amount of wounds.

In real life there is of course a huge monster that is completely visible behind that terrain piece because there are huge openings we as players can see through. Our models can't though.

Obviously the easy solution is to just use solid bricks for terrain.

Last monday were for Nids models so today I expect something for SM. Maybe those new flamers (although I am fully open for a surprise with a Screamer Killer )?

The article hint seems to imply a character to me ("with a new look at a familiar face[...]from the trailer"). Maybe the Librarian? Would love to see the Screamer Killer though

Isn't he dead? IIRC he fell defending the Polar Fortress during TW1, or was that his predecessor?

I’m particularly keen on the Psychic Hood. Very original plastic Terminator Librarian. Also a decent amount of fine detail, without swamping the model in geegaws and that.

Spoiler:

That armour looks like it could credibly fit the Marine and all the technical stuff inside, very deep/wide. First Terminator that actually looks like Tactical Dreadnought Armour.

Great model. He'll need a mustache extension to fit in my white scars and he's got a tactical rock to be removed and replaced by something more industrial to fit on the sector mechanicus bases I use, but other than that I don't think I'd want anything changed.

And the article: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/04/17/increase-your-armys-ssshhhing-power-with-the-new-terminator-librarian

Sadly, without any info on either datasheet or powers, but apparently there will be an article on psychic powers tomorrow.

Very, very nice. Maybe the best Terminator Librarian they have made.

I wonder if the Right shoulder pad comes off. If It does, Instant GK Librarian model. And I can see a lot of Word Bearers stealing him for conversions.

It's not completely lined up right, but the head is both high enough and back far enough compared to the shoulders that it looks reasonable, compared to old Terminators.

People are already dreading Scalpers, and are absolutely ripping the GW rep a new one on twitter after what happened saturday.

How can scalpers even be a thing for a regular new model? It's not a limited production model

If the quality of all the models in the box is as high as the ones we have seen so far, it will likely sell far closer to Indomitus than to Dominion.

Apparently they had only a limited amount of the Lion for sale, and many people could not get theirs. Not only for the edition with art prints, but also for the supposedly normal box with the Lion and his three bladeguard buddies. Currently, everything is marked as 'Sold out online - no longer available online'. It especially seems to gall people because many streamers etc 'miraculously' got orders through, and of course you can readily acquire all of the sold-out things on ebay et al for outrageous sums.

Asking price for the regular box of the Lion with retinue seems to be between 300€ and 450€, for a box which is priced at 85€ regularly.

The terminator head looks funny. I think it’s the chin guard. I can’t tell if that’s metal or his beard, but I think it’s the former?

The rune carvings would feel right at home on a word bearer. It may be worth chaosifying him
