The screamer killer on fist terminators matchup just went from "Sorry for your scream killer" to "Sorry for your terminators".

Credence towards the 4Chan post: Someone on the r/Orks Discord confirms that Orks are on the demo tables.

the Article saying that there is only one mission in the core rules, with in addition talking about CA Missions later and also the rulebook article adding that the core rules do not include crusade and patrol rules

hence in addition to the free rules you need at least 1 card deck for each player to play the game and the full rulebook for narrative games

You don't need the full rulebook for Narrative, they confirmed you can get Narrative as a separate book.

point is that not all the rules are free as some people thought previously it might be
if it is 1 book or 3 does not make a difference here

very much looks to be again "just" the core rules and you still need to buy the books to play the game

Wonder if we'll get a new range of terrain with 10th - at what stage were the Imperialis & Mechanicus ranges announced for 8th and 9th respectively?

I believe that no one interpreted their definition as "Everything free forever", but just as "Core rules are free, you just need the codex to play", which is true.

Expansions are obviously going to be sold.

previous interpretation when GW first announced that rules will be free was that you can play the full game with just buying models or an existing collection and no need to buy any of the books, at least until the codex hits

with now you there are at least the mission cards or the narrative missions to buy
which is similar to the free rules in 8th

You only need the mission cards if you want more than the 1 free mission. Supplement is only needed if you're playing Crusade.

They said in the first announcement Core rules and Indexes were free, they never said the whole thing.

Price draw T&Cs puts the value of Leviathan at £150

https://www.games-workshop.com/en-IE/Newsletter-Prize-Draw-Terms-Conditions-2023

11. The prize will consist of the Leviathan boxed set.

13. The value of the contents of each prize is GBP £150 (one hundred and fifty) / AUD $420 (four hundred and twenty) Australian Dollars.

The closest I can find to £150 is the £145 price point which is €190, $240 so add on 5 to 10 Euro/Dollars?

EDIT: US T&Cs - 10 prizes total value $2,500 so $250 USD

I am very excited for the Sternguard! I hope they keep all their existing weapon options, but fear it will be like the Chaos Marine Chosen instead.

Short analysis of the sprue image below:

  • On the right we can see the Terminator Captain and the Winged Tyranid Prime sprues are connected so they will probably be part of the starter sets like the Overlord/Captain and Royal Warden/Lieutenant in the current sets
  • Below is the Psychophage which seems to be on its own sprue so can be released separately
  • Bottom right is the dreadnought again on its own two sprues so separate release possible, though I would still expect a multipart kit for better posability, might be part of a starter set?
  • To the left a Termagant sprues, more on the left and on top. In the shot before this where the box is opened you can see that its three different sprues and if I count correctly with 10x Termagants on them so should be 2x3 sprues for 6 sprues in total for 20x Termagants
  • Next is the Screamer Killer/Neurotyrant sprue, as I wouldn't expect them to get multipart releases they will probably be a Honoured of the Chapter/Royal Court type webstore exclusive
  • Bottom left is hard to make out but I think its one the doubled up Infernus Squad sprues?
  • Above is another of the Termagant sprues and the Terminator Librarian. This one isn't connected to another sprue so probably won't be in a starter set but will be a single release instead.
  • Second Infernus Squad next, seems to be a standard 5x sprue that will be doubled up, will probably get a separate release as all SM units except suppressors got one eventually but not sure if they need one so maybe not? Maybe with a heavy Pyreblaster option?
  • Von Ryan’s Leapers next, again solo sprue so can be released separately and another Termagant on the right.
  • After that we have the Gravis Apothecary. While it seems like it has sprue connection nubs, there isn't another Tyranid leader to pair it with for a starter set so no idea what is going on here?
  • Sternguard Veteran Squad next, again solo sprue so can be released separately though they could really use a multipart release for many weapon and decoration options.
  • Last sprue in the top right is again hard to make out, looks like SM so might be the Lieutenant

  • Whats still missing are the Termintors, the Neurogaunts and the Barbgaunts.

They say 13 sprues but if I count every sprue that is connected in the machine as one (so all 3 Termagant sprues and the two dreadnought sprues count as 1 and the Captain and Flyprime also count as one) and ignore doubled up sprues that would still be 14 sprues so I'm missing something here.
It would add up of the Neurogaunts and Barbgaunts are on the same sprue but I don't think they could fit 10x Nerogaunts and 5x Barbgaunts on one sprue.
Edit: based on a shot of the instructions later in the video it actually seems like Neurogaunts and Barbgaunts are on the same sprue that might be doubled up? Which also means the image they showed won't be released as a Combat Patrol as the Barbgaunts are on there, but the Neurogaunts aren't

    Spoiler:
    1. Captain/Flyprime
    2. Psychophage
    3. Dreadnought
    4.Termagants
    5.Screamer-Killer/Neurotyrant
    6.Librarian
    7.Infernus Squad
    8.Von Ryan’s Leapers
    9.Apothecary
    10.Sternguard Veterans
    11.Lieutenant
    12.Terminators
    13.Neurogaunts
    14.Barbgaunts

Starter set heroes are usually 2 opposing heroes to a sprue

Yes? That would be the Terminator Captain and Winged Tyranid Prime here as I wrote

Interesting... the Lascannon on the new Dreadnought isn't Twin-linked and instead has two attacks.

Not necessarily considering all the weapon consolidation we've seen up to this.

Even if they'd consolidated the dataslates, they'd still have given it a silly name

Nah, it has upright T-Rex syndrome: proportionate legs, tiny arms. The Redemptor body wasn't designed for "in-shoulder" weapon mounts.
