I don't think that's the complete list of what they'll preview We're missing GSC, Imperial Agents, Drukhari, Grey Knights, Thousand Sons, and that's assuming none of the divergent SM get any preview. Also, they have been on a pretty consistent rotation of Imperium-Xenos-Chaos, and it looks like they can keep that up almos to the end.

So logically chaos knights > custodes > orks > grey knights/imperial agents > tsons next week.

Week after goes grey knights(or IA) > gsc/de > womp-womp > ?????> de/gsc. Fin. Only question is who/what gets the last chaos/imperium slot we run out of factions for.

Who knows, they said Deathwatch is not getting a preview, they might opt not do one for Grey Knights as well. They also said the divergent chapters won't get one, which i find weird because the Dark Angels are on the roadmap with their own codex. They also said that they'd do a preview every weekday, long story short we don't have a clue However, if they do Grey Knights and one preview per weekday, they'll land on May 31th exactly.

I imagine they'll want to pad that week out, then it'll naturally lead into the Sunday "pre-order next week!" announcement.

They can easily do 'That's not a faction focus, honest!"-previews for e.g. variant Astartes, some glimpses at alternative Detachments etc. to do the padding, they still have some stuff held back they can feed us. They can also have an overview over assorted randomness like Harlequins, explain the ally rules some more...

I still think not doing a general overview piece for BA/BT/DA/DW/SW as a whole is a bit odd - even if it is just to make it clear that they'll get their own 'dex rather than the 'dex/supplement model.

And a couple of previews from among those five wouldn't hurt.

I do expect GK to get their own preview, though - what with the whole "everyone's a psychic" thing and the barely-sharing-any-units-with-the-main-SM-Codex thing...

They could also do an article 'How to actually order the box' and explain their queueing system

In fairness there's still a chance DA get a preview - they're the only Chapter aside from GK (which barely count given how different they are) that GW hasn't specifically denied yet from what I've seen (BA, BT, SW & DW have all specifically been called out as not getting an article).

I guess we some more coming for the 12 SW grand companies as those all have at least 1 unique unit

Except we know there is a separate set of rules and codex for BA, there isn't for Salamanders.

Its true that the other 1st Founding Chapters have not suffered the same inssesent, brutal flanderisation of the Angels and Wolves which is something to be thankful for....

I didn't pick up the Sally supplement - does it give examples of special units that exist in 40k but don't have rules/models?

HQs are technically units so many of the marine chapters do in fact have specific units. Addax, Shrike, Ferriios, IF forehead dude, etc.
GW will probably not make other specific units as it limits sales, when a generic marine unit covers all. Some will fit better than others to the lore and possible play style (although I would love at least one more unit per marine army to be unique, for example JP claw vets in Phobos armor for RG. The downside of that of course is the increase in data sheets, and nobody really wants that.

We know there's something Phobos with Lightning Claws out there for RG. The artwork was used for their Christmas box.


Supposedly, these boxes were intended for updated supplements.

I'd be amazed if it was a bespoke unit, it's more likely a redesign for vanguard vets to allow phobos maybe? Similar to the new sternguard being a cobbling of armour marks.

It would be a weird redesign for Vanguard vets, seeing as it's not rocking a jump pack.
