Normally Battleshock tests start if you are under Half-Strength, if you're within 12'' of a Chaos Knight you need to test if you are understrength at all.

Normally you take them if you’re under half. Knights make you take them if you’ve suffer Any casualties and are in range.

Battleshock is normally Half-Strength, the detachment rule works as long as they're below Starting Strength

Custodes are tomorrow's Focus.

And they restated again that we'll get another focus per weekday until the end of may, which, as i said before, works out perfectly, with the last focus coming on May 31st if they do not do any marine-subfaction focuses other than GK.

Another appearance of the rule for single-model units being below starting strength here. That really should have been a part of the core rules.

Everything else looks...fine. I struggle to get too excited about Knights at the best of times. Good to see they've combined all the various types into 1 datasheet. I don't think they mentioned if that was the case for Imperial Knights.

There's hope for when the codex shows up to pick up some of these types of abilities.

I just hope CK pays a premium for the second RFBC, because, woof...what a brutal amount of shooting.

Ooo. I like Anti-fly. Sounds silly, but it solves a lot of dumb crap that has existed since flyers were introduced.

Depending on how allies work (if at all beyond daemonic pact), they'd make a good primary faction. But the daemon ally rules we were shown mean losing faction and detachment abilities for the allies. That would make knights terrible as a secondary ally, because the knights get some great stuff.

There isn't night lord rules. There might be night lord style detachment but any csm army can use that.

For now, yea. Maybe forever, but there can be 'spooky' detachments for CSM.

Yea I'm totally down for an Abominant with my Thousand Sons. They haven't spoken on allies for anything but Daemons so far, right?

They have specifically mentioned allying in Knights(for both types as well as Imperial Agents for Imperials), but I forget whether it was an article or one of the streams.

Yea the datasheet has to be useful on it's own. The Abominant throwing out battleshock and mortal wounds on it's own seems great though.

I'd be amazed if it was a bespoke unit, it's more likely a redesign for vanguard vets to allow phobos maybe? Similar to the new sternguard being a cobbling of armour marks.

It would be a weird redesign for Vanguard vets, seeing as it's not rocking a jump pack.

Yea.

You shoot them, there's some abilities which might have roll to work like orks. Some stuff like psychic hood gives fnp vs damage from psychic.

Most boring part of 10e going against existing background. Ah well. Nothing's perfect.

As is captain with gun, librarian, both feel same.

Went back to read the Tau faction focus again and the army rule certainly read better on a subsequent browse. What I think the rule lacked, which in my mind would have been clearer, is that units gain the Observer or Guided unit keyword until the end of the phase. That would have helped clarify rather than just an immediate effect without lasting value.

Hey valuable members of the Warhammer Community,

4. There will be plenty of stock to go around of Leviathan.

Kindest Regards,

Didn’t GW say the same thing about Indomitus? Are we taking bets on whether the server will refuse to connect to the internet because its fears being reduced to a pool of slag once the preorders go live?

This is a store that gets allocations - separate from the website. The website does not have access to all stock sent out by GW so the experience on the web on that day will still be rough.

One of the advantages to collecting an army like Guard, which have no chance of being in a big new edition box. No need to worry about availability.

Speaking of stock. Why is stock for World Eaters models still so variable?
Are they just that popular?
Or are they jsut not making enough?

A little of column A and a little of column B.

WE are very recent so they're top of mind for those trying to collect. At the same time it is almost certain that a large portion of GW's capacity is currently focused on producing Leviathan boxes creating a bottleneck.

Its been a problem for years now. Inventory system got a lot of blame a while back, but regardless there's a lot of stuff scattered all over that's out of stock.

Some of it is probably just being phased out (Boarding Patrols)

Some is being replaced soon (Tyranid Combat patrol), and some is probably being reboxed for 10th (marines and nids again).

Others are just... who knows?
Personally, I find the normal stock being unavailable far more frustrating than the FOMO boxes.
