You're right. It's actually a good thing if GW remove options from you, since they might return some options which they previously removed from you

According to a Tabletop Tactics video, the new Crusade book has artwork of Chaos Drop Pods, so those may actually be a thing soon.

Here's a random, off-the-cuff idea that's probably wrong but fun to think about. Consider...

  • GW have done Apocalypse editions every six years: 2007, 2013, 2019, and it's now 2025
  • The closing months of an edition are an opportunity to drop alternate 40k rules like Boarding Actions or Planetstrike
  • Following the early Summer updates of the AOS/HH/40K main games, August/September usually get a secondary game release like Kill Team
  • The last Apoc was accompanied by an assortment of random backlog minis like the Marine RepEx and AdMech tank outside the usual codex release cycle
  • Despite culling many FW units, GW have kept the largest titan-scale kits in production, and even re-released the Necron one recently
  • We have recent rumours of a new space marine drop pod and Tyranid terrain

  • What if this Autumn we get a 40k campaign event that kicks off with a new Apocalypse (or Planetstrike) book and some loosely related kits like SM/CSM drop pods?

Lots of new PDFs on Warhammer Community - including the Legends datasheets for Eldar, Dark Eldar and Guard.

A few oddities. Hell's Last includes a profile for "Lesk's Veterans", who don't seem to be part of the squad, meanwhile the squad consists of "Lesk's Heroes", who don't have a profile.

They missed the opportunity to let the Arvus Lighter take the gun that's available on the new plastic model.

Also some minor errata to Grotmas detachments.

Hard disagree on Chosen. Even the highly restrictive 3.5 Codex had TS Chosen that could all take Minor Powers. They were members who were just psychic enough to not be made Rubrics but not psychic enough to be full sorcerers.

We might be getting a reveals show next month, as it’s Adepticon 2025 from 26-30th March.

They’ve confirmed Golden Demon, so presumably they’re going there in force.

Rubricae can operate soulreaper cannons, but apparently they can't either have four such dudes standing together, or manage to pick up any other heavy weapons...

Also, remember when Havocs could all take flamers..?

Looking at that 20 CSM set that comes with the box, there are many head bitz which tickle my fancy. Will surely catch some of em when they're in stock at the usual bitz shops

I haven't played 40k in a very long time, I only really like Epic 40k for my grimdark fix (though inquisitor is good, and I'm not opposed to kill team, I just dislike the sales model to want to buy into it)

But I really, really like these models and would love to paint these!

I have more than enough projects I'll never get around too, but I'm very tempted to pick this up to be able to build a couple of EC themed stargrave pirate gangs, but I wonder if they will have a smaller €100 set released shortly after that might be better value for doing that. This might be overkill, but it would offer a lot of nice customisation and I still have an original Lucius still waiting to be re-spawned from a 2nd hand purchase I did a few years back.

I'm sure a few of the spare heads wouldn't go amiss in my Slaanesh old world army either... !

Had not noticed that the two non Noise marine ranged and close combat units in the box share the same bodies, and each unit of 10 comprises of the same 5 man sprue used twice. 5 of the same bodies (with the odd differing chest plate) across the 20 miniatures seems a bit rubbish to me.

The Emperor’s Children arrive with the most dramatic of flourishes – an army box comprising of 33 brand-new miniatures evocative of their excess, a fresh Codex, a set of datasheets card and a new transfer sheet.
The Lord Exultant and his retinue are kitted out with gilded weapons and prismatic armour. This ostentatious champion comes with a choice of weapon options including phoenix power spear and rapture lash, as well as four different power packs and two head options.
He’s joined by two units of six Noise Marines – which can include one Disharmonist each – while the regular Noise Marines have a wide choice of heads, shoulders, and muzzles for their sonic blasters. Tormentors wield their ranged weapons with precision while Infractors are obsessed with close combat, and the box provides 20 Space Marines which can be built as either with a choice of accessories for customisation.
On top of that you get a glorious copy of the 112-page Codex: Emperor’s Children which is full to the brim with delectable lore, art, miniatures photography, and rules for using your Champions of Slaanesh on the tabletop. This version features pink foil on the cover and page edges, a black ribbon page marker, and features classic Emperor’s Children art on the cover.
Finally, 22 datasheet cards cover all the units in the Codex (but not Combat Patrol datasheets or the Army Rule), and a transfer sheet with 150 transfers is supplied so you can decorate your forces. This set is available while stocks last.

    Also Eldar Combat Patrol

Rumour was forgefiend was out, so that leaves room for one of the missing daemons units. Could be a terminator Lord maybe too.

I still struggle to imagine GW only including one build of the dual kit. Remember, they think we're morons.

Terminator Lord would require Terminator Sorceror too.
