Finished the end of my Onslaught Drones. Two regiments to go.

I have cleared out the stuff I intended to paint at the moment. However, I do still have a couple of items.

1. Heroquest Mage in the Mirror Elves- I am holding onto these until I get the HQ Expansion with the other elf sculpts in it. I learned from Painting Keller's Keep that it is harder to match painting styles on the same models than one would hope.

2. Axlotl Heroes from Reaper- I have a Wizard, Rogue, and Fighter-type primed and undercoated. However, I am holding onto painting them until a Painting Social with my Gaming Guild.

Therefore, I have nothing to paint in the immediate future.

And the last Bound Clones are done too.

And with the last Incarnate Sentinals done, nothing is left on The Pile.

Finished a Leontarchos. Not sure I moved that from the To Purchase file when I got it, but it's done now

Added a Legions Imperialis Krios box and an Emperor's Children Combat Patrol to my pile.

The Pterophon Surveyor came out and I got mine assembled and base coated.

Halfway through the year, it's always good to take stock. I've bought way more than I planned, but I have accomplished one of my initial set of goals in completing my marines and Guard. If I hadn't bought multiple large armies, I'd be way head for the year!

I completed my current Guard goals with six painted sentinels. Three old Armageddon pattern, two old cadian pattern, and one old catachan pattern. they're on the new base size and done. I was then going to dive into my Eldar, but after knocking out a few ready to go squads, I pivoted to Conquest due to a slow grow league starting up. I'm in the red again, but only eight models. With 277 painted for the year, I should clear 500 without too much hassle. I'm 182 models in the red for the year so even if I stop buying and paint at my current pace it would take three months just to get back into the green. i will have two weeks without my wife and daughter in late july, so hopefully I can really make up some ground then.

End of Q2 thoughts:
- Getting one of the "start of a faction" goals completed feels good, but I do need to get at least one of the others off red status soon
- Bought vs. painted looks terrible, especially as I'm considering grabbing the Combat Patrol Fronteris terrain bundle - not quite sure how much of a hit that will be - and possibly the big Saturnine box.
- Necron Warriors, Scarabs and Nurglings should be simple enough to work through, though I'd appreciate it if the temp would drop off a touch so I felt like painting more
- I was more restrained than expected at the stand that sells kits-without-bases at UK Games Expo, so go me?

Kinda ground to a halt due to stupid depression.

Surveyor is done. Paint was done a few days ago, didn't get to basing for a bit due to Treason Day gatherings.

A few new things added to the pile. Some War Dogs and Nurglings as I convert my Imperial Knights to spikier versions. Nurglings are about done.

Picked up the Phoenix boxset for MCP and got that finished. Also a few new Judgement models, Back over 10 models to paint, but that'll be back under control when I finish the nurglings.

Got some HQ elves left (that I intend to paint when I get the next Elf themed expansions) and 3 Axlotl's from Reaper.

Otherwise, the bench is clear.

Added the Lost Ancestor, Lost, and Found to my 'purchased' category. Post is refusing to update though, not sure what's up with that

I added two Heroquest supplements to my Queue, so I have a pile of potential again.

I was able to paint up 2000 plus points of conquest, but a lot was stuff I also bought this year, so less impact on the pile. I also grabbed a few lots of stuff that were incredible deals, which while fiscally wise turned a big month in a small decrease in overall pile.

Finished up the Lost Ancestor and two regiments each of Lost and Found. This puts me back to 100% painted again, at least until something else gets released.

I might use some of the leftover bits from those models to modularize my existing Ironclad Drake, but I'd rather do that with a fresh kit so I can bury the magnets.

I finally got around to undercoating my HQ Elves and some Rise of the Dread Moon stuff. Still not sure how I want to tackle Spirit Queen's Torment or translucent figures yet.

Mostly clear again. Been working on terrain and spiking up my ex-Imperial Knights. Big pile on the horizon though with new kits for DW and a need to refresh my Orks.

Hey, a small update on my projects;
- during the spring I've made a ton of terrain for 28mm scale, mostly mdf, which i assembled and painted, roughly 12'x6' boards worth of Industrial and gothic terrain.
- I've also had my Blood angels army made, by commissioned and 3d printed, roughly 3000pts.
- during the summer, i moved to a new apartment, so i didnt really had anything done.
- my recent purchases were new objective markers for 40k, and the new legions imperialis book.
- i have only painted ONE miniature during the year (commander Dante) :/.

I found out Tariffs are about to hit Conquest pricing, so I pulled the trigger on that second Promethean Oracle and Ironclad Drake I've wanted. Can't stay fully painted.

I had a very productive late summer, knocking out a bunch of my Aeldari which have been sitting patiently for years. I also picked up and painted a khorne spearhead as a palate cleanser (and I enjoy spearhead even if I never play). My unpainted purchases were generally all great values. The COS spearhead is NIB and I got it for $75, I got the IG combat patrol for 20% off, I got the old Aeldair combat patrol at retail, and the guard stuff I picked up were all nice buys. After a big spending first half of the year, I have slowed my buying and accelerated my painting, but I need to get quite a bit done to reach positive for the year. (I have essentially two and a half unpainted armies that I bought this year). Hopefully with my daughter in school and my work slowing down I can catch up. Gaining 189models in three months is going to be tough!

Well, I got a whole bunch of HeroQuest to paint. Therefore, I busted the paints back out and am trying to undercoat all my elves for HeroQuest, because I have a lot of elves from Mage in the MIrror and Rise of the Dread Moon.
