So, WD364 dropped through my door this morning and I was confronted with something shocking!

News: page 11

...Not to be outdone by the Imperial Guard, the Bonesingers of the enigmatic Eldar have begun to craft new and elegant vehicles. In June the Eldar are gaining several new plastic kits, including a brand new tank. You can find all the information you need, including the rules and background for this behicle, in White Dwarf 366. (emphasis mine)

Now, many people have been surmising that the eldar vehicle kit is just a recut all-plastic Fire Prism, but this would not need rules in WD, hence it is definately something new, almost certainly the rumoured Night Spinner.

The other interesting thing is that they are getting several new kits. Rumours abound that heavy weapon platforms will come out in plastic - fair enough as they are the only all-metal heavy support choice, but what else is coming? Are the 'bonesingers' finally giving us plastic wraithguard? Or will the new jetbike finally see the light of day? Could it be rangers, or aspect warriors? Everything else is plastic already...

But, the biggie is of course - RULES in WD!!

I never thought I'd live to see the day nice one GW

Dark Reapers.

As for the rest, I suspect the new Jetbike(Jes has said he wants it produced, just a matter of when) and a new Vyper.

Honestly, I'm very excited.

I, like many other war-gamers absolutely loved WD rules. They offered up variant lists, units, scenarios and the like - and you didn't have to wait 7 years for the new book to keep your army fresh and exciting.

I wholeheartedly endorse this.

Seconded. I used to get them right when they got to the stores, but I think that they switched to a different distributor which is terribad.

Another shocking fact: This rule set is called Spearhead and discussed in this thread for more than a week:

And can you point where in that thread this particular information is stated?

Spearhead was not actually mentioned in this months WD, but rules for a new Eldar vehicle were. It may be that this is part of spearhead but that does not make this information invalid.

Sweet, I was just getting the itch to ad something to my eldar army, but then I realized, I already have a painted example of everything good in the codex...

Hopefully the new rules will offer some more spine for that army.

And can you point where in that thread this particular information is stated?

The quote below was posted on march 19th in the spearhead thread (page 6). I believe it comes from the email GW sent out.

This June the Imperial Guard unveil yet more of their armoured might. However they are not the only force ready to unleash powerful, death dealing weapons.

The manafactorums have been working overtime this past year to supply the frontline regiments with tanks to pound the enemies of the Imperium into dust. This summer they're stepping up production once more as yet more vehicles rumble off the production lines.

Not to be outdone by the Imperial Guard, the Bonesingers of the enigmatic Eldar have begun to craft new and elegant vehicles. In June the Eldar are gaining several new plastic kits, including a brand new tank. You can find all the information you need, including the rules and background for this vehicle, in White Dwarf 366.

The rule thingy in the first post, your text on page 6 (as Winterman said, BTW the GW newsletter many people received), speculation and first confirmations on Night Spinner and Heavy Weapon platform on same page, sprue sighting rumour of Night Spinner next page, also rumours on recut Viper and possible superheavy within 8 months.

Why not check first before posting something as new?

Calvin, thanks for posting this. I'm sure I'm not the only one who missed Brother SRM's post of this info in the previous thread. Typically I read the first post of a News & Rumors thread to get the relevant info, and that's that. I typically don't have time to sift through pages of opinions and wishlisting to see if there's updated information, so I appreciate news items getting their own threads.

Um. just my 2pence before this actually gets locked.
Sometimes threads can be long rambling nonsense (view the recent BA one for instance).
Some of us only have a few minutes a day to check things out.
I think 'rumour' threads should be closed when rumours become fact and new threads about said facts are viable to confirm to those of us with the afore mentioned lack of time to trall through 10 pages of 'I reckon that..@ and @oh, that'll be cool if it happens!'

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!
