I've been lurking on this site for a while and decided to take the plunge. So much great stuff to be found here. It is really inspiring for people like myself to see the level of creativity and passion people put into the hobby.

For Xmas, my kids got me the Island of Blood set. I really loved the look of the High Elves, and now, because of an upcoming event at my LGS, I have an army of 3000 pts in the painting stage. I've taken a very different approach to my High Elves, inspired mostly by Roman Legion colors and iconography. I'll be posting my progress in the WIP section.

Thanks Silver and Gorechild. Glad you both caught the Thunderbirds reference. My favorite show when I was a kid.

I've just uploaded a bunch of images of the WIP army, so I guess I make a post in the correct forum. Thanks again.

If you upload them using the Dakka Gallery, other users will be able to search for them as well as add comments and ratings.

Plus it means poor working shmoes like myself can see your images at work

They also generate an image link automatically, so you just click on the image you want from your gallery, scroll down to the list of links, copy the "forum link" and then you just paste it into a thread.

Edit: Just seen that you have 27 images in your gallery - forgot that the counter on your forum posts does not update until you log out/in
