Oh now there's an idea. I was thinking either cut off the arms entirely or have them go into tendrils. Hadn't even had the thought of just chaining them to the hull. Gives me three options to think through.

I could.
Anyway I cut the arms down a bit, put on some Shuriken Cannons to be blended back into the arms next with GS. The bottom of the serpent got two of those raider ram things as "feet". I figured they're spikey and give it a nice angle to sit at.

Not sure how I feel about that look. I feel like she's extremely top heavy. A second set of arms more in the position that they were before might balance it out better.

the arms look weird now... and not in a good and fitting way... even for chaos... i liiked the build better when the arms supported the upper torso...like a fourlegged pose... also the rams look way too weedy... why not make scratchbuild talons out of PC? just look at ´nids stuff here...

Hmm yeah it does look a bit top heavy. What if I repositioned the arms back where they were? Either that or figuring out the second part since they represent the harvester cannon, while the back cannons are the bombard cannon.
Feet I could just take back off again. Want to save the scything talon idea for another flying Daemon Princess later though. It's another idea I've got while working on this using a Razorwing.
I suppose for another idea I could have the second pair of arms coming out of the hull wings and holding the body up a little. Still a second pair of arms, but more crazy and out there. Coming out from under it a bit, from the end tube area you can see in the last pic near the stomach.

Perhaps have the arms going back to the back of the wave serpent.you could have cables coming out of the forearms, or chains going back to the transport area. You could also use a deamonette standing where the turret should be with a whip to direct/encourage which direction the vehicle turns.

Lo. I've been watching your thread for a while and I don't think I've commented before. Like the deamonettes.
As for the current build. If you're basing this from a hermit crab, maybe you could add many legs / arms along the sides of the body (formally known as barbie) to look like it drags the waveserpent "shell" along. Probably make the current arms the main ambulatory appendages and use smaller arms for the Shuriken cannons and claws. And many cables / tentacles all over the thing, many to the roots of those large cannons and a few leading into the engine intakes (if you intend them to still be functioning, if not trailing out the other end as well).
Just some thoughts. Keep up the good work.

Well haven't updated this for a while or really worked too much on it.
Bulked the join between the arms and the guns a little, did a bit more to the back. Not sure where that's going yet. Managed the pry off the connector for the turret and put on a spare base I had from the KoS conversion a while back. Had the same look as the bigger summoning circle, so figured it'd work out.

Oh and what are the thoughts of the arms in that position again with the guns? If it's good I can glue the guns to the hull a bit, but some super glue into the joints and get working on the shoulders some more.
Another idea I had for once I get the head done is since I have one rider Daemonette left from the chariot, I could sit it up on the neck sort of driving the grinder. The platform, perhaps use some spare Eldar parts and using a combination of plastic glue and green stuff have it melting into the circle. Like an unsummoning circle. Maybe even another Daemonette near it looking like it's putting them onto/into the circle. Unrelated to it as well, I have thought of having another Eldar, perhaps Dark Eldar, chained to the back of the tank to liven it up a bit.
Of course don't want it to get too busy. Already not going with the second lot of arms cause I kind of want to hurry it for the weekend or thereabouts with the new Eldar coming.

i think that platform works well... but the arms are still looking akward...and maybe you should rethink that spikey leg idea... i think it should rest rather flat to the table...

Wired the armature for the head in place and got rid of the feet. The rider is simply blutaced in place at the moment, but will need a saddle; or just sit on a gun.
The head actually isn't glued, the wire was put through it twisted and then screwed into the neck. It can turn and move a bit due to the part that was holding the old head in there, but other than that it sits firmly. Good enough considering it'll soon have a bunch of GS put to it to build it out.
The head is from one of those old McDonald's Bionicles, the midget ones that throw discs.
With a few bits of it cut off here and there. Going to flesh it out a bit to have a biomechanical look like the rest of it.

Daaamn. This thing just gets more horrific the more you do. Looks much better with the arms swept back.
I like the head, but not the position of it. If you put the head on a snakey neck it would vastly improve it.
