Stikkbombz? well if you want to assault some one in cover they are indispensable if you don't want to strike at I1. They can also let boys hurt AV10 vehicles when they've not got the charge. Many people only bother with Stikkbomb chuckaz on their transports since it proves cheaper and normally just as effective (well unless the tank dies... such things happen).

But how often does it work out that your stikkbombz have a target in cover that they want to assault. It seems like it would be a struggle to get that use out of them every game. The light vehicle thing i get, but again, it seems like hard work to get the squad in position to be effective that way as well.

well i know what you've got. If i know you've no stikkbombz i know i'll stand a better chance against you if you assault me in cover. It works well for IG, tau, Eldar, SM, SW and even Nids will enjoy it.
Do you need to take it on all your units? Hell no but make sure you've got them on 1 or 2 units. After all objectives normaly find there way into difficult terrain, if the enemy gets there first, you are going to have to assault to get them off it.

I don't ever take stikkbombs:
A squad of ork boyz on the charge is I3, and against most things in 40k, will strike second. If you take stikkbombs, you get to strike at initiative order instead of initiative 1, which means....you're still going to go second.
Against armies with worse than I3 (Tau, some IG), whether you strike first or second in combat doesn't matter because they're going to die.

This is exactly how I look at it. And the PK wielding nobz still go I1 anyways, so really there isnt any change lol

wasn't clear enough ... guess i have to spell it out.
The only place that needs stick bombs is non power claw nobs. If you have 1-2 (or more) units of Nobs more then likely you won't give all of them P.claws so stikkbomb or stikkBomb chukka isn't going to break the bank and should prove useful.

Ya that's what my Ork buddy is thinking. "They're Tankbustas from now on", he says. Just gotta glue some some missile heads on the ends of their pistols and goblin shields on their belts!

Yeah, since nobs could potentially hit at I4 it is kind of a big deal for them, unless of course they've got pks.
Makes me wonder why they come standard on MANs........

I've always wondered that too. I suppose it was because in 4th you could elect not to swing with your Powerklaws, but why would you with a 2+ save and two wounds?
