i've seen this crop up a gazillion times before, but i really had to try it out
the Eldar army list, in my mind, fits very well for the covenant army, so i decided to improve my existing eldar army with squads of Elites for aspect warriors
Firstly, Minor elites, as Dire Avengers. what a coincidence that they are both the most common, and the same colours,
which i put as Attachments, as im not sure how to post pictures properly yet

I have always liked to look of the Covenant, so awesome job. Did you sculpt them yourself, or convert a base model?

Those look like Bloodletters covered in greenstuff. Good job though, I had to go to the GW site and pull up the Bloodletters before I was certain. I think Bloodletters would make for good Jackal as well. What else are you going to do? Brute Wraithguard? Vyper Ghosts? Pathfinder Jackals for snipers, and Seer Council Jackals for shielded ones?

Looks like bloodletter bodies with gaunt/gant heads to me.

absolutely correct. if i use exactly the right amount, it comes to 1 packet of greenstuff for every 10 Elites, which is useful
The heads are bloodletters of the back, with Lizardmen Skink heads attached to where the bloodletter faces were
My next plans are to do some White Elites with energy swords for banshees, Hunters for Wraithlords, and some Ghosts for jetbikes
the project was largely inspired by http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/268194.page , although im not nearly as good with greenstuff. yet.
im not sure what else i can do yet, although i also saw this http://ghettomole.deviantart.com/art/Model-of-a-Jackal-68885637 for a jackal thingy
I will try to post updates of them whenever is possible, although they take ages with the amount of greenstuff

oops forgot to add the other Elite: i Use him as any Generic Phoenix lord, until i can make another 6 of them

waow those are good, and you took inspiration from our thread !!! you have to tell me what you used for the heads, because i'm stuck for what to use. maybe if i can make molds of the grunts and get heads for the elites i'll start the project up again (and put 3 others on hold in it's place)

i have too many army ideas !!


edit because i can't seem to read today: ah, skink heads. i'll have to look into that and this means i may have to start making them again and pick up where i left off.
