Mutilatin' Mad Dok

Alright there Dakka-ites. It's been a while since you've heard from me, since I've been busy on tour with a few bands and trying to get a job and moving house, however I've just had time the last couple of days to start my next project, a Feral Ork (Snakebite) tribe.
I was inspired by a collection of toy dino kits at my local Home Bargains store, for £3 each. Bloody bargain.
I have a "Battlesquiggon" already assembled and part way through painting. Counts as Battlewagon.
I also have a Skorcha in progress, and a bigger dino for use as a Gargantuan Squiggoth for Apoc.
I have plans for Meganobz made from Ogre Bulls, with a hell of a lot of armour and big shields, and also plans for a Warboss done the same way.
Obviously I wanna use at least one Weirdboy. I'd be silly not to. He's gonna need a retinue of at least 30 feral looking orks.
I also wanna do some trukks made from the plastic Steggy kit, and some deff coptas based on Terradon conversions.
I'd also be up for some orks riding raptors or some other riding beastie counts-as bikers.
Other than this I'd be open to any ideas.
I'm well motivated for this, should be a cool little army once it's done.
I'm gonna try to update every few days no matter how much, or little has been done.
You comments and crit will keep me going, Dakka, get on it ;D

Whoa! I absolutely love the battle squiggon. The armor plates are badass. You should keep rockin those. How did you make them by the way?

@Rose_Mountainz-
Aha I'm going with the approach of not all squigs having green skin, and how that would apply to bigger stuff. I have strange logic but it's gonna make for some cool patterns and stuff
@HadoukenAvenger-
Thankyou sir!
@Norwulf-
Cheers man! They're just blister packs heated, and folded into place, pinned with hot nails. Quite painful but looks quite cool.
UPDATE:
I got hold of some second hand stuff this morning, which included a lot of useful bits for this project. It included a Forge World Rhinox, and two baby Rhinoxen from the Scraplauncher kit, which will be turned into another Battlewagon and two warbuggys respectively.
Also, I got hold of some Ogre Bulls for my Mega Armoured Boyz, which I started to convert earlier. They'll have a fair amount of primative armour, with orky tattoos and wards to represent extra protection.
I also got hold of an ogre Tyrant, I'm sure I'll be able to use that somehow.
Also, I found a Savage Orc Champion from Warhammer, this will make for a good Weirdboy.
C&C encouraged as per, I love hearing everyones feedback on my stuff, good or bad.
I should have an update late tomorrow.
Cheers x

Renegade Kan Killin Orks

Are those boyz heads or nob heads? If they're the nobz heads, I would say try a warboss head. They just look a bit too small for the ogre bodies. I like the shoulder pads and gunz though. And the head with the helmet looks a little better than the rest.
I like all the big beasties. The armour and howdah on the first one looks good. IMO it should have at least one more color on the skin.
The Scorcha looks a little too big for the critter it's on, but that's orks for ya.
All in all I like the way this army is shaping up. Keep up the good work.

@The Good Green-
They're boy heads, I'm gonna have to get hold of some nob heads from somewhere.
I think I'm gonna do the underbelly a different colour, maybe yellow of a beige colour.
Thanks a lot sir!

I probably have too many Nobz heads lying around - you get more than you need in the box (or 2). Then again, I plan to upgrade my MANZ heads to proper Nobz heads - the ones that they come with are more boyz sized

Looking good, like the dinos. Definitely need bigger heads on those nobs though, either nobs or maybe black orcs, there's a couple in the boar-boys that look ok on ogre bodies too.

Iya! As promised, have an update ;D
@Arakasi + monkeytroll
I changed them all to the helmeted heads which looked better. I'll get some pictures tomorrow.
I did this because of a severe lack of nob heads.
I like the slightly smaller than necessary heads on them, it makes them look more hunchbacked and brutish, which I kinda think fits this theme...
C&C always wanted!

Looking good! I'll wait to see the pictures with new heads for a final judgement, but if you want some Nobz heads, just PM me. I'll have to check, but I probably have excess...

Keep up the good work! I'm liking this army. You should deffinitly do more of those plates on just about evreything, one of the best scratchbuilt material usages I've seen. BTW, what do you use to heat them? Will a lighter work? I'm totally stealing that idea.

@ Norwulf
Cheers bro!
A lighter should work, although its easier heating over a stove or something, a lighter may just set it on fire.
I usually hover it about 4 inches above a stove element for about 3 seconds, this should make it malleable enough to bend into place.
Feel free, I've not patented it yet ;D

Should have an update tonight after band practice, maybe about 7 or 8 PM (UK).

Iya! Back from a pretty productive band practice, but I still had some chance to do some painting once I got home.
I'm also thinking of Mekboy ideas, maybe some sort of beast trainer?

They actually don't look as bad irl, I'm starting to think it's the photos, or maybe just cos I've started painting. I'll post some piccies later, you'll get the idea.
