Okay well, I figured I might want to go on a start a thread to contain all the stuff I have made over the last few years, plus some updates for my new stuff. If I put up anything new, I edit part of the thread's title with a short description of what's new.

I should note, that I rarely get a chance to play Warhammer 40K. I really like the hobby aspect of the game, specifically the conversion process. I really like to think outside the box and use whatever skills I have to make something unique. Heck my last tyranid army was mostly conversions, (even the guants...).

So I am going post a lot of pictures here for you all and some WIP pics when I can. I will get alot of my old stuff out of the way, stuff some of you may have or have not seen.

Currently I am working on Dark Eldar stuff, so look for some pics of that here soon. For now I am going to go through my photobucket account and post some of the highlights.

First up my Tyranid Cerebore. This was basically a practice job for some future projects. I have used it in a few Apocalypse games, but right now it is gathering dust. Most of my Nid army was sold off and this is one of the few things I have left.

WIP pics of the Cerebore:

Next up:

The 'Cerebore' is WAY COOL apart from the legs and arms, they dont qite do it for me. Maybe do the legs either smaller or folded in.

Thanks guys!

@Perkustin: I would have to break it apart to do that, but you are right it would look better, almost like it was crawling more.

As promised, here is some more:

The Tyrannofex! I made this back in February 2010, so not long after the codex was out. It will be outdated by this August but it was nice for a long time. (Btw, I got desperate for some cash back a few months ago. Someone got this thing for $50.00!)

WIP, (the legs were not bulked up in some of these photos)

Thanks Perkustin! I really hated to sell it, but sometimes you have to do something to pay the bills. I keep hoping a new pic of it will turn up on dakka from the new owner.

The Cerebore is oddly adorable- kind of like a 'nid walrus. <3

The Trygon Prime is amazing- tell me, how did you do the awesome lighting effect?

I have recently been diagnosed with swelling in the brain, so please excuse spelling mistakes and faulty sentences. I am losing my ability to type and talk effectively, but dammit, that is not going to stop me from trying.

@Depraved: How about now? (Took me a few minutes to find his pics...)

@Misguidance: The lightning was made from a 20 Ounce Pepsi bottle. I usedsharp scissors to cut it into strips. The strips were twisted and shaped into lightning bolts. They were given a coating of glue that covered about 60% of the strips and then they were coloured with a light ink wash and a sharpie pen!

The cerebore makes me feel a little queasy...

Which I guess means it's perfect! Crazy work.. gives me mad flashbacks to the brain bug in starship troopers. You're trygon prime reminds me of the alpha male and brood mother death claws from fallout 3: New Vegas. Nice work man, they're truely terrifying!

Here were some of my first Tyranid Conversions (November 09):

Brood Lord:

Ymgarls:

'

Termaguants:

@Monkeh: Thanks! You know what, that Cerebore still creeps me out too. I keep him several rooms away.

These were made to look a little more like the Pyrovores and Biovores. I have never liked the running guant holding a gun. It just doesn't feel very niddy to me. So I made this photoshop mockup and these minis:

Ok, football-nid wins the thread. And probably also the match, seeing as no-one would want to tackle it.

Really looks lovely.. err, okey that just sounds so wrong so lets all go for splendid!

But the ripper queens what rules do/did you use for them?

And now you make me want to hack a bit on my gargoyles...

I have/work on these: Army and SOG of and a tiny group of (killzone) and some and last some and a gang of Cryx + Others...

@chowderhead13: That was the original plan! I went with a different variant of the name though. I didn't want to anger Cthulhu!

@Misguidance: Thanks! My original plan was to make an entire team to use in a Blood Bowl game. I never got around to it though...

@blambi: If you do anything to those goyles, please let me know! As for the Ripper Queens, I used them as counts as Ripper Swarms. Instead of putting like 5 rippers on a base, I cobbled together the Queens from spare bitz and used them with a few rippers as a counts as. I eventually wanted to write some rules that were similar to the Tervigon. I figured it would be cool to make some ripper babies too!

Tervigon:

Plague Lord (made along time ago. I couldn't paint for gak):

Old School Chaos Terminators:

I basically built up the base and then sculpted some arm pits on them so their arms would look more like the plastic terminators.

Also disregard that abomination in that last pic. That was made probably 5 or 6 years ago back when I was a noob.

Okay a quick update before I start posting some of my Dark Eldar stuff.

Here is some space wolves conversions I made last year. I tried to expand on the Norse Mythology theme and tried to incorporate some Valkyrie iconography.

Valkyries (counts as Sky Claws):

Landraiders:

Fenrisian Wolves:

Ehm feathers? but then again i suspect that somehow the non-scandinavian view point on norse mythology was somehow crossbred with the greek or something.

But besides that It looks really nice, the robotic wolf might get real interesting.

The lightning effect is the coolest nid style conversion I've seen in a long long time. I will definitely be borrowing (stealing) it ! Although I imagine that transportation is a nightmare....
All of your GS work shows some incredible imagination, very gribbly, lots of tubes and nid loveliness. I have no where near the patience to put that much effort into all of my models. The gun backed gants are also great, I might have to borrow that one too...

All in all, top notch.

Ps painting hot women on tanks is very cool.

@blambi: The feathers are reminiscent of the Valkyries in Valkyrie Profile, (Great PS2 game).

Thanks for the comments SlverMK2 and Reanimator. I am glad you like the conversions enough to possible steal them too. I really like to convert this stuff but I have only recently started to paint them with some sort of justice.

Also as promised here are my wracks & grotesques:

Ok a small update. Here are some webway portals I made yesterday. I noticed the real ones are hard to get. Suggested retail is $17.00 but they are sold out. Ebay sellers have them (only a few) and they are $35.00+. I am not paying that.

These were made from wiffle balls cut in half and painted to look similar to the official GW one. They are almost exactly the same size as the real ones, (maybe a millimeter or 2 off). Let me know what you think!
