Its not that its the programming thing. im all for fun rules, but they were a little overcomplicated.

P.s. that is technically not a hat more of a head attachment.

And when Christmas comes around...

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

life.

I am slightly pissed right now....

I went to order a box of vanguard/rangers from GWUS, and they are "Temporarily out of stock."

What, did they see demand was high and say "eh, whatever" and not reorder stock.

All i wanted was one box of blasted troops to paint on after finals, and even that is denied me.

It's more like GW's initial estimation of how badly we wanted AdMech was much lower than it actually was. They didn't make enough and we'll have to wait for them to play catch up.

Don't worry they'll be restocked soon enough. Use the "email me" function on the site so that you can get one before they sell out again. This tactic let me get a whole lot of 32mm bases back in January when those things used to sell out in hours.

AdMech is here to stay, get yourself one of the other kits if you're antsy to get painting; at least one of them is usable.

They figured the eldar codex was leaked by now and nobody would be on the ad mech bandwagon anymore.

I think the issue is that GW's production is still relatively small scale, and since they don't do advertising or, you know, market research, they don't think to take some of that production time and stock up extra of something when doing a release.

Try checking at a store, the webstore allocation goes faster than the physical store allocations because of people buying the "bundles".

Awesome model, ludicrous physics. He'd lose balance and fall over as soon as he turned his head. (I'm assuming his neck is augmetic so it won't just break.) Maybe there's a tiny anti-grav unit in the hat?

Socks are HERESY.

Because, you know, all loyal servants of the Mechanicum should be augmetic from at least the knee down, per Codex:Skitarii.

The flesh is weak.
I thought the need for an extraneous insulation layer to ensure consistent operation would be impetus enough to replace those feet/legs with an enhanced locomotion array?

So let's speculate a bit here. Based on all the tidbits and rumors, plus what we know of the fluff and also what we saw with the Militarum Tempestus/Astra Militarum release, here's my prediction:

Given that Adeptus Mechanicus is an entirely new faction, they saw an opportunity for two MT-style mini-dexes instead of the one for AM.

The first one we have in our hands - Codex: Skitarii.

The second one will be - Codex: Cult Mechanicus.

THEN, after all that shakes out, they will drop the actual Codex: Adeptus Mechanicus, which will have the ability to include all the forces from C:S and C:CM, but without some of their unique rules or roles. (It could also pull in the updated Codex: Imperial Knights, if that turns out to be true) This will give players tons of options for how they want to represent their Mechanicus forces, just like Militarum Tempestus gives the ability to play your Storm Troopers a little differently if that's your thing.

This is just speculation, but it's my analysis of all the rumors so far, and gives the best match to the fluff, as well as making sense considering GW'w current style of new releases.

Sounds very plausible. Fits with the no codex entry without a model model too.

Hmm but no SC unless they are going the way of fantasy now. But guessing the way they portrayed the Skitarii as Pre programmed almost automaton like that makes sense for that codex.

Well, Skitarii special characters could be downloadable into any number of bodies, rather like the Tyranid Swarmlord.
