Flying Pooo's Combi-Melta Conversion Guide



Bits needed
-Bolter
-Meltagun
-Vehicle Stormbolter (optional)
-Bolter Scope (optional)



Step 1
- 1a)Cut of the bolter muzzle and the other two thingys. KEEP THE MUZZLE!
- 1b)Then Cut off the clip. This is optional as I am making Sternguard Combi-Meltas which use special rounds.



At the end of step one the bolter should look like this.


Step 2 If you skipped step 1b) skip this one.
-Cut off the clip from the vehicle storm bolter.



At the end of step two you should be left with this.


Step 3 If you skipped step 1b) skip this one.
-The clip is too big for a Bolter so cut it in half. It should be 2-4mm thicker than the bolter.



Step 4
- Cut the barrel and the power pack from the melta gun. Either use a very sharp knife or use clippers (as I prefer to do it). A razor saw will work very well too.



If you used clippers the end of step 4 will look like this. If you want less waste use a sharp knife or razor saw.


Step 5
-Stick it all together like shown.


Step 6 NOT OPTIONAL
-Drill out your barrels!



All the waste makes nice basing material!

This is something I've been trying to accomplish for sometime, since my SM army is based around meltas, combi-meltas, and conversions, this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks !

BTW, would you happen to know a simmilar way of creating combi-flamers? I've seen a few ideas, but none of them look great.
For example, this is simply a bolter with the flamer end attached.

Great tut! Would add the idea of using a razor saw as well as clippers or a knife.

^Yeah, Razor Saws. I've never really bothered with them but maybe I should. I have added it as an option as it probably would yield good results.

Great work, i just loved the whole ideia, perhaps, do you ever try to use bits from a inferno pistol insteade of a melta-gun? I always think in combi as smaler...

dude awesome is this the same for plasma and flame throwers as well?

@ Commissar41.0- I guess you could do the same thing for a combi-Plasma and a combi-Flamer.

That's a really easy way to do it, and it looks great too, thanks.

I did a simmilar thing for my Captain's combi-plasma.

I used a pistol though, But here's a picture if you want an idea of what I did.
