Hello!

Just want to share some my progress in landscape modelling. Here the map from Wh40k DoWII: Retribution computer game called Argus Desert Gate. I wanted to make the similar in the table top.
Here are sme screens from it:

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I've decided to use plywood to create game modules, so the first step was developing modules in 3D.

here you can see that all connection stuff are designed

The table is supposed to have standart size (48" x 72") so here you can see how it should looks all together.

Very good thiink that it is modular and I can make anything i want with that, for e.g. table 48" x 48' allowing playing 3 guys deathmatch.

The paterns for laser cuting was created and then i travelled to workshop and took my woods.

After that I just split those details together!

And start preparing it for painting
I want to imitate stone-plates floor on the modules of up levels, so I used for it boxes from models, cut them, glue them and prim them.

And the last progress for nowdays it is conduct beta terst of a table!

The futute works are:
+ Paint it.
+ Make a base table
+ Crate lots of small terraints stuff like fontains, rubbish, boxex, tank traps and so on
+ Enjoy it!

Wow, really nice start. I've never played the computer game, but from your pics you nailed it. You might want to create a widget for the stairs thoug so your models can stand anywhere on there without risk of falling.

LOL, Theo your mind is an amazing place, never change.-camkierhi 9/19/13

Ah! Just forgot to notice it it is already done in following manner:

Each ledder has wide and small stairs, wide stairs is tall enought to place 25-40 miniature on it

and it is organised in order that units maintain its cogherency easily

but here some problems with models on large bases

Thank you, guys!

Now I continue to paint my modules. I use texturic color with sand. It looks pretty i think, also I cover the canal's bottom with river sand (it will be filled by water in the future). It looks like:

Also I add grids in pipes and ark. Using aquarim plants I created 3 modules on dread bases. It is good in game, because it is not too thin and small like casual tree or brush, and it looks pretty cool on side-ledder module

And today I tried to use airbrush to make one of module looks more "alive", waht I get

Hope it is not too bad, heh...

This is fantastic!
Excellent functionality on the stairs. It's impressive to see the Knight and the Sentinel on them just fine. Especially for two rather notoriously top-heavy miniatures

Very nice! Was looking at 1/35 kits for mine. M1117 gardian, lav's or jdsf light combat vehicle. wouldn't mind bringing out y on range really though haha.

Unfortunatly 1\35 is too big for Wh40k, but those one is really close in size to original, the same height and width, but a bit longer

Yeah size isn't amazing but 1/48 kits are hard to come by, well done for matching the size like that.

Have you seen some of the kits for the the turox kit? theres 4 & 6 wheel ones and they look pretty good tbf.
