As long as territory laws are enforced (ie, no going into a besieged city, no deploying right outside an enemy fort without attacking it), I wouldn't have an issue.
This for the most for me as well.
I also concur with this.
So what we cant enter besieged places ?
Not using teleporty things without a roll. But I have my loopholes

No, it's that I can't use a Webway gate to go into a besieged city and ignore the army outside. If I want to enter a besieged city I have to fight my way in now. I can use Webway gates to get from one place to another; however.

Well, if the GMs say so.
Basically, I could deploy troops in a clear area, but if I wanted to deploy within Hive Cogger's walls for example, I would be unable to unless I assaulted through the besieging force.
Kharne the Befriender wrote:Not using teleporty things without a roll. But I have my loopholes
This sounds ominous. Are the GMs aware of this?

I still think you have to fight your way in? I mean, anti-air batteries of the besieging army?

Probably Smudge.
As far as Night Scythes go I could technically drop a force using one Night Scythe and some time (To turn and make further runs over the drop area).
But I'm not going to abuse this, but I will use it for moving HQ's around

Well Garathal needs to enter Cogger and he brought a few squads with him. I asked Blackjack for a roll and he said i entered the hive undetected, no fighting with the Imperial's required. I just think the rule is too general, under certain circumstances I believe a force could enter a besieged location and this rule wouldn't accomadate for that.

Post by: Drakka77
Cool cool. More bonemen to fight somehow. At least my Wyrms could at least take one hit. But I doubt they would willingly engage the machines. Probably see if WK or the Navy would be willing to do bombing runs.

Anyways... I love how EoN had his cultists call the necrons Bonemen once and we're all using that now as a legit name. Probably because it's a rather epic sounding name...
Also, I approve of the general idea that entering into a besieged city should need a roll, and teleportation shouldn't work.
Also, I know I am so very very late to the party, but happy birthday to you, TS. Hope it's a good one.

He's a part of the same organization that can basically have an entire Guard regiment killed with little, if any, consequences. I don't think he'll care overly much for the feels of my Guardsmen

Well since I am tied down for the foreseeable future, his sanity should be fine. Especially since Blackjack is the GM for moons, for now.
Edit:
Its a Armored Regiment officially but its fairly Infantry heavy for armor. It has around 2,500 official fighters, 600 Auxiliaries (Orygns, Beastmen, and Ratlings), and 1500 Support personnel.
Breaks up into four Battalions
1 Full Armor
1 Armored Assualt
1 Armored Seige/ Underground Assualt
1 Artillery

So a total of 204 tanks, and about 3000 fighting infantry men...Maybe you might want to tone down those numbers, as me with my Mechanized infanty only add up to about 40 tanks and 1.5K infantry. I know you're right fluff wise, but those numbers seem a bit...Disproportianate to this Crusade.
74527
Post by: Drakka77
Thats a Full siege Regiment not a um Attacking Regiment. Your Force is meant to take on people and withdraw if it gets to bad. and Work in supported concert with other regiments.
Siege Regiments are meant to be heavy cumbersome weapons that fight solely through attrition. Also a good amount of these guys would be more like white-shields and people expected to die in heavy fighting.
Also yes I can choose other regiments with much lighter numbers.

Sorry I don't mean it offensively at all. And your not the only one pointing out their overwhelming power. And your right, but outside of large combat they are useless, so Light or mechanized would be better.

Mate, I didn't take any offence . I'm about as thick-skinned as you can get.
btw, I had little to no idea what the majority of the troops you listed above were. I know Guardsmen, conscripts, Stormtroopers, Karskin, and Scions. Not much else.
74527
Post by: Drakka77
So StormTroopers, Karskin, and Scions are basically the same to me. In the Seige regiment think majority regular Guardsmen and Conscripts.
Veteran Guardsmen is better than Guardsmen but worse than say a Stormtrooper. I am very much into IG, SM, and Skitarii lore. Another Idea is just bring in a Company of More Astartes. lol. I am working on Lore on my Bloodmoon Hunters.
Edit: Also Terms Like Rifleman, Assault, Sniper, or Specialist is just how they are kitted out.

It will be a Mechanized Siege Infantry Regiment. So Less Tanks and We will say its just a portion landing for more like 3000 men.

20 Earth-shaker Artillery Pieces (Not Tank)
20 Hydra Flak Cannon Pieces (Not Tanks)

1st Battalion
1st Company - Leman Russ Company
2nd - 5th Company - 100 Soldiers each, 1 Chimera, 1 Crassus, 1 Gorgon

Really, TS, I'd have thought you were Gemini - so much duplicity and double-games. Makes you wonder why I'm Gemini in the first place...

You know, I have have thinking so much on what Garathal and his lads are doing/ what they are going to do that I almost forgot about Faolan Gall and his cronies. P.S this is not a dig at Blackjack in case he takes it this way

No worries Irish. Again, I apologize for how long this is taking, but it seems writer's block has really found a liking to me. Fortunately, I can circumvent it by working on everyone's serperate chunks simultaneously.

I would make a bad Green Lantern, but I'd look better in CGI than Ryan Reynolds did.

Well the siege is in place and the beach head is established so its a waiting game now for my Guard. Once the various Choas and Xeno elements make their post its raiding time.

Imagine a Centaur with the bottom, bestial half of his body resembling the legs of a Maulerfiend and the top half looking like a Space marine with jet-black Mk III Power Armour and a long javelin imbued with the power of a daemon. I call him... "Orelius."

Nothing much to say, just poking my ugly head up to congratulate War Kitten on a good chunk, and to confirm that, unless I put another faction in, I'm practically stuck until chazz can give Palleus and me a result.

It makes sense that they would be dealing with flying. And wind would interfere with comms otherwise.

When did they arrive? And just how many armies are In/Around Hive Cogger? And can we a general location of them in Hive? I am trying to get a sense of how all this is split up because we can't really be divided in just two with this many armies.
