The only reason I say that is because I have a fair handful of said Rhinos in various states of disrepair, painted red and orkified by their previous owner.....

ha! thanks RW... and your comment is perfectly timed as well^^
as i am now updating in fact the flyer and my hero model in one go...
painting is commencing atm...yeah right...!
i´ve primed already both models...after some serious detailing took place!
the shield of captain victory was totally redone... it got new cogteeth as shown earlier... these later on i trimed down to a better looking er...look... and also i added a doubled amount of rivets for the rivet apreciaters out there
the flyer got some rivtes and some other technological gimmicks as well... see for yourself... with a bit of luck i will get this bay basecoated within the week too^^
flyer...
captain victory...

i am still thinking about the insignia... atm the easiest way is the air recognition of the RAF... but dave´s link for free handing the lion´s rampant is also nice.... tho i have my doubts if i am painter enough for this one...
also at graven... i wanted to add the winged "V" as like on the first shileds try... but i couldn´t get it off and making a new one failed three times ...grrrrr^^

The shield is so much better this is one great conversion I so cant wait to see the paint scheme, how about a hand doing the victory sign easy sculpt job do it like the SM type fist emblem.

hmm... maybe just the union jack?
or a kind of victorian-esque letter "V"? (curves at the ends or some such... I know what I mean )
RAF symbol would be easy, but then, it is the RAF... and your captain isn't a pilot...

No one thing was an insurance job we had the in feed pipe burst so that was the kitchen and dinning room retiled as the floor was ruined underneath, then we got some PPI back (miss sold insurance) so we are doing the en suit and down stairs toilet.
The rest was all work ing progress or needed doing so, but yes the costs piles up less fun money but once it gets done it finished
Then its HOBBY TIME I can build this "dancing like mc Hammer"
Can you guess what the three threads will be ?

Post by: Viktor von Domm
at maus... i tried various pike-like weapons... i have skaven, empire and elven bits... but none felt right... beside the shield is very dominating the look... so i felt the pike would make it look too busy...
as for the more steampunky looking right arm... or a backpack... well the inspiration was captain america... and i at least wanted to keep some resemblance to the original... so i probably will keep it as the current outfit... you all have to have faith in me... when the actual painting happens this i hopefully will be true to then
which brings me to answer daves comment... still no painting happened... yesterday i spent half of my time away from work at the customs... getting a small package from victoria lambs productions... man... customs is such a fething thing...
no painting done yet... but only tomorrow and the work-week will calm down a bit...^^

ok... lads and ladies!
the moment you´ve been teased for...
the flyer...
i admit, the pilot doesnt look as if i have a strong concept for his paintjob... there might be lots of changes soon...i am open for a scheme suggestion... i am atm leaning towards a more darker/black uniform look...your take?
the hero... captain victory...
note... there is no blue in the scheme for this captain... i know it rather makes this captian look like a UK version of the US Agent... but since queen victoria the great is still after 40 millenia in deep mourning over her late husband... and his favorite color was blue... all blue was banished from usage for the whole empire... so cap looks like this... the model is by the way pre wash... so may the lords help me for the next steps...
cheers, vik

thanks LooT, to be honest the shileds rings have been a constant pain to make... i am such a freehand eeediot^^... but somehow the color combination is now really sticking with me... i hope it doesnt look too WWI german to you? i feared the combination/scheme does tend to go into that direction... but my intention was the more grim dark version of the union jack... with the blue replaced by black...just like my own version of the british banner looks like...:
29209
Post by: LooT
I like the flag. Reminds me of a Skindred album cover.... ah, welsh Reggae Metal......
In all seriousness, colonial powers look good mashed together (all them different forces fighting together in the Boxer Rebellion - MMM, SO MANY COLOURS ). Mixing German and British would give you scope for loads of different options. Like super awesome stahlhelms and pickelhaub helms alongside kilts and tartans!

What if you went ~really~ dark blue or green (although I don't know if that is better or worse)? Can you print a decal? I print my banners here at work on sticker paper. That way I can experiment with design and get crisp lines (without the frustration).

Post by: lone dirty dog
Vik you have excelled yourself mate really impressed so far, good choice with the colour scheme on the flyer but add a little more colour to the pilot, thinking a brown flight jacket of sorts.
Now Captain Victory looks even more spot on now, the shield is the an amazing piece of design and execution mate top marks.
The colour layout is working for me I like that you kept the stripes and changed the blue for black, the boots stand out perfectly LOL
Now the one issue I have the circles do you own a compass and some stickers hey presto easy work
But I don't want to end on a negative as the rest is fething amazing
48594
Post by: dsteingass
Oh Wow Vik! That flyer is fething cool! You really nailed the color scheme! Also, I love the Cap'n Vik! Colors are spot on..maybe put a little color in his skin?
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
oh dave! the cap´n is far from finished... i only used dheneb stone as a means for a basecoat on his skin... later on i will use some flesh colors on him... he looks a bit ill atm
thanks... making a cap mini was on my to do list for so long!^^
as for the circles... precision will be ultimatly my downfall... i will try to see if i can make a mask or something from some junk i have stored to make a pencil line to have a more guided brushwork soon!
green, mars, hmm... i do like green... in fact it is one of er... no my top favorite color... but for these i keep the tricolor scheme as is... i just have to think what should be colored what...
and LDD... yeah... the flagjacket was meant to be leathery... brwonish too... need to see if i can use the brown i use for wood or a different brown then...and i think i then need to change the helmet into a leathery helmet too... the red puts me off atm on the helmet...
at Loot... yeah... the original army outfit was meant to be a wild mix of nations within a totally unified empire led by the queen victoria... so indians, germans, french, aussies, scots russians and what not... all is planned, but beside lots of cadians and then some steampunky pistoliers on foot soldiers i am still largly at the concept phase... i am way too tardy when it comes to painting...^^
i recently got me some twenty legs from victoria lamb... awesome stuff if you doesn´t know her range... and i think these bitz together with my bitzbox will make a new platoon soon ... i will shortly get a picture for the lot of you and we can all start to speculate at what these will have for a background and a look...
cheers, vik
and i really have to get my ink cartridges for my printer refilled... the sticker idea isn´t new to me... but i constantly forget about it

Flyer has to be one of the more interesting things you've done so far. Blues would work with him so he kind of blends with the sky. I'd imagine being so vulnerable like that he'd rather be sneaky and quick than dead and quick.

The transport turned out really nice and I really think that in plasticard your works look better than in cardboard. But when we gonna see the platform painted? (or I missed something here?)
The new "Cap" and "Bat" guys are pretty awesome. As always I'm late with my ideas but anyway... I bet you've thought about super hero stuff yourself but if not I really think that's the right way to go. Not nesesary the iconic versions but their less known steampunk adaptations. While your "Cap" is fine as is and some brass in colour scheme might be enough
the "Bat" guy could use some "steampunking" in a form of hat, maybe?

I'll just leave these here...
The enigmatic soldier known as Captain Victory leads an elite group of intergalactic rangers through the mysterious and deadly cosmos, fighting against forces set on the destruction of life, itself! But who is this man, and what does he want?
This special introductory issue written by Sterling Gates and drawn by Wagner Reis starts with a bang, as the deadliest battle Captain Victory and his men have ever fought begins!
29209
Post by: LooT
Well, this is easily explained.
Quite obviously, Vik finished Captain Viktory and won the competition. Drunk with power, he laboured upon a machine that would assure his vic(k?)tory in all his works. After many moons of hard toil (including procrastination, and taking his sons to the park for father-and-son time of plotting, endless plotting...) and many prematurely cremated laboratory assistants, the machine was built; a time machine.
With a great crackle, Vik travelled through the continuum, hell bent on his victory. Upon reaching 1981, he forced comic book creator Jack Kirby to create a comic about Viktory's exploits at rivetgun-point. He did make sure the 'k' was changed to a 'c' to avoid suspicion, however, because Vik is a smart-ass
Upon doing this, he activated his time machine once more, and travelled further backwards. In these adventures, he (in no particular order) invented the tank, punched a penguin in the face, started the nation of Vikland (which was unfortunately crushed by the British Empire), founded all towns and cities in the world that begin with V (Vicksburg, for example ), and bedded Princess Elizabeth before she became Queen.
Or it was a coincidence, but you and I both know how unlikely that is.....
10972
Post by: Ruglud
LOL, that's great !!
Vik where are you, you're missing your own history here
BTW, if you are infact Captain Viktory, you sure look like a crazy version of He-Man... Did you train in the same Austrian gym as Arnie?
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
LOL... at LooT i literally laughed myself silly reading that piece of my alleged history... what a corckscrew of a mind you have...i think i have to chain you in my cellar to write all of my fluff from now on...
at ruglud... in fact... all my muscles have never needed to be trained... just mere chips, coke and gummybears and chocolate were enough to build a juicy hunk of a man you would see if you would be sitting in front of me
and yeah... that captains likeness is strikingly close to he man... coincidence? hmmm...dont think so^^
as for arch enemies of captain victory... he will come... of course he will be a red skullish character... in fact... he is already planned... as i have for this special job a very suitable head...courtesy of RS Jake... he gave me some very cool looking skullheads with a peaked cap too... so very stylish red skull it will be!
but more to this later on... i haven´t been on that much as i had a big meeting at work, wich pi...ed me off no end... tho everything turned out for the better... it was still close to early retirement from that job... we´ll have to see where this whole schtik will lead to...cross your fingers for me...(i know i am a bit vague here but it is also mobbing/bullying related... so by keeping a certain kind of lid on it i try to shelter myself with forgetfulness a bit...)
and... since i can´t keep my head that focused atm... i started something for the leagues new competition... it´s about vehicles...and i am quite confident that i can show you tomorrow the first fruits of my labor in that regard^^
keep well my friends!
yours vik(tory)

I see the issue here its middle management syndrome, this is when you do the job to well therefore promotion is denied and you have to continue taking the gak

And while we're at it, ALL the Power Rangers, ALL the crew of the Starship Enterprise (original series AND Next Generation) and the Voyager, and.... Danger Mouse.
Definitely Danger Mouse....

well mates... still no update from me... but you all are providing excellent duty here already! what truly nice finds... a steampunky spidey? whoa...good find storag... and my mind already works ferverish as to what bitz would be needed for this... i am thinking a catachan medic head for the start^^
as for the batman referrence... well i swear... i wasn´t thinking about him for this ... but i get the referrence... sublime messages i think
one thing tho... i am a marvel fan... so probably no supes or the likes ...if at all... a lex luthor that is about to kryptonite the living daylights outa him
but i am more than willing to bring a sort of steampunky evil vs hero edition of marvels who is who... some kind of steampunk ´munda one could name them splenidid idea you all^^
as for work... well i have a week off from work now... playing lego with the kids (we got us an AT- RT just this day ) and also doing lots hobby works...if allowed by the high powers that be (namly my wife ) an when doing this atm... i am working on a ship... pics will happen tomorrow for definite... i am always way too lazy to have the cam near me when working on something hobby related...*looks sheepish* i know, i know^^
and again about work... ruglud... that sounds nasty... i would opt for working harder and better than her... and make it obvious for the upper class jerks/ bosses that she is afterwards not needed anymore
at LooT... and what about han? or vader? them not needed too?

And yes, Lego..... in true manly form, I spent four hours today playing with Lego. I'm seventeen in 8 days, you know

lol... well there is absolutly no age limit for lego^^... if there ever will be... i am done for^^
eight days... eight days...gosh... wish i could still say it was eight years ago!!! over two decades and still counting...argh...
and yeah... star wars... obvious reasons... obvious choices... one has to do what one has to do

Hello again Vik and crew,
Just thought I'd pop in to show this cool map picture I found on Wikipedia, showing all Queen Victoria's Dominions at the close of the 19th century.
Thought that this might inspire some sort of banner, or propaganda poster.
Also, loving the progress on Captain Viktory, hope he gets that nemesis soon!

hello boys and gals!
i know it has been a long time since i showed up in my own thread...
the kids are at home and somehow i felt not that inclined to spend too much time online...
but i do like that you´ve kept this thread alive nonetheless! great big thank you to all!
but don´t get me wrong here... haven´t been lazy by far!
carnival is upon us atm and my kids will celebrate getting into new characters with their freshly made costumes in the next week... meaning...my wife and me have a hell of a time to finish said costumes and props for that occasion in time...
what they will look like? well... Star Wars is as prominet a theme as it always was and no less for my kids... and being the understanding and cool parents that we are... my wife atm and me are making for oskar a Luke Skywalker outfit from scratch (return of the jedi!) and for felix an Han Solo outfit from the empire strikes back...!!!
so while my wife is sweing like blazes... i am creating han solos blaster from scratch... well sort of...the only toy gun i got hold of atm wasn´t that true to the iconic shape... but i did my best...
have a look:

soon the last gapfilling can be sanded and then i will prime this fella...
after that details will be painted and soon we have to make a fitting holster even!!! man... we must be hating ourselves as much as we love our kids
later tonight i will be true to my words and show you the boat i am working on!
cheers, vik
by the way... at shaso... see...go for it!
and Loot... cool! thx!

at graven... LOL...thanks mate... and yeah... my next big started and probably long time unfinished future project will be a totally scratchbuild lasgun! making guns is one healthy fun for the whole family!!! Automatically Appended Next Post: by the way... i detailed the blaster a bit more and then went to town priming it in shiny black...

It just means that your ancestors were smarter than mine and settled somewhere with tolerable weather.
49179
Post by: Valhalla130
I don't know. The way things are going, the northern US may come to have the milder weather, and the southern US might turn into swamps and desert.
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
LOL... i think nadgers is a british term... i only know it because my favorite author (terry pratchett) uses this word quite often...
and yep... these bitz might fall/come off due to unfriendly weather^^...this is my top most reason for staying indoors by the way... that argument is totally invalid as my wife makes me go outside even tho...
on a lighter note...
finished in a painting frenzy both, the blaster and the lightsaber... i was quite tense while doing so... fist...i didn´t want to screw the job... so i had to be careful... second... my kids where continiously looking over my shoulder... painting with audience... not my favorite pasttime , and third... i was anxious to see the balster and lightsaber come to a new cool look... the primed versions of both were enough to send shivers down my spine!!! because of my over anxiousness... i forgott to do primed pics... may the lords of painting forgive my humble soul...
but here are the pics of the painted pieces... still a bit wet... afterwards they look way better...now they are drying from varnishing in the cellar again... i am thinking i have to make both way more secure... i still have some furniture varnish at home... should i cover everything with that too...or a layer of PVA maybe? the kids will want to play with the armory... that´s for sure... in my mind i´ve already kissed both pieces good bye... but what could i do to preserve the toys for as long as possible??? help would be greatly apreciated!
well enough of that talk...here are the pics:
the blaster...
and the lightsaber... (talk about ancient weapons mate )
and the before...as we have bought two of those lightsaber back then...
the essence of this... i definatly will make more guns and other armory... that is great fun! a lasgun and a bolter for definite... maybe someone has access to plans for a laspistol? that would be great...those will be total scratchbuilds by the way...
cheers, vik

All the old Stare Wars weapons were merely old WW-II prop weapons with tubes/boxes/wires added to them. Han'd blaster staretd as a 1898 broomhandle Masuer pistol, stormtrooperes were using modded Stens.
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
lol...thanks dave! big comliment there!
at neil... big thank you to you sir too...! rebellious? rebellious? I like the sound of that.
strippy pants are done already, vest too... you can sie a cameo appereance of them strippy pants on one of the following pics...its resting folded on a red chair in our living room atm^^ and yep... han is as cool as it gets for a mere mortal... only boba fett comes close...after that you´ll need a black helmet^^
at hazzer... yup... both have been massivly varnished... they now feel totally cool to the touch as well... really...it is hard now to believe they both were mere toys and junk some days ago...
at LDD... oh yeah... she is really making progeress! as mentioned...only hans holster is missing for felix costume.. and tonight she finsihed with the jedi robe of oskars... he needs to try it tomorrow... i will make pics and show you later on how my kids look cool^^
and yep... back in the old days when lucas used props... there was way more soul to the movies... he lost it... his grasp on movie making (watch indy 4...´nuff said...) and also his grasp of greed controll...
maybe it was a good decission to sell it all to someone else... of course if it was wise to do that business with disney...ohoh...
at shrike... it´s these odd english words that keeps me reading english novels... somehow it gets way more soul and taste to the stories...i miss that in german books...
at Hruotland ... big thank you mister! i can say at least i enjoyed this work immensly!!! mabye it is seen in the results how i enjoyed the work...
well as to your idea... look below... i didn´t start a field uniform... but i´ve started working on a scratch built lifesized lasgun... tho i have to say... a nice uniform sure would be as cool as it gets for my wardrobe... i must talk to my wife concerning this idea^^...tho my belly is a bit in the way these days^^...way too much belly and far too less chest...
on the matter of recent work...
here are some pics... i´ve actually not used any templates for this,...all is selfmade and straight from my mind... so if you spot some unfitting details... well bound to happen^^
the whole thing will need to get some more serious details... currently working on the battery and a nice stand in aquilla ... also the top of the gun is in need to be done... and the muzzle is rather simple atm... i need to see what our local haqrdware store has in store for me to spice it up a treat some more...
here are the pics... but first... promised daytime pics of the varnished and fisnied star ward props/ toys...
and not to that lasgun...
here are the stripey pants by the way^^
thoughts?
cheers, vik

hello my friends!
i am not dead... neither am i snown in or something similar...on monday and tuesday my tow kids had their seperate events of canrival in kindergarden and school...and believe it or not... both somehow (this is still a mystery to me as to how...) smashed their weapons to bits that almost made me cry in tears...
thus i was not really in the mood for much hobby related stuff online...
well... i tried my best to reglue the remaining bits... if i can restore the former glory of thos weapons... that remains to be seen...cross your fingers for me... suffice to say... both need a total repaint for sure...as lots of filling and then sanding is still in need... the former paintjob...ruined to say the least... i spared me the hurt in doing pics of the destroyed toys...
but i worked some more on the lasgun... at least this is something i will treasure...
but before i come to more pics...let me answer the last comments... thanks hazzer... but i don´t really stick too close to any true STC of GW... instead i do my own... so no one catches me doing it wrong
and ruglud... you accusing me of causing agony by showing such things... and you have the nerve to show me a stormtrooper blaster??? do you know what doors you´ve opened with that??? i always wanted to make a stormtrooper suit... argh... many thanks for that good looking tutorial!!! this will be soon a new project for me... need to find a way to make this a wooden gun as then i could make it for my kids too.... something that lasts^^
and that kickstarter of empire of the dead looks very sweet... if those minis would be available already on their own... i would buy some for sure... but i have no idea how this whole kickstarter thing works... anyone cares to explain this to me in simple words maybe?
well now to the new lasgun pics...: the password is detailing^^
and just for you my friends... some costumed pics of my sons...those pics wont stay here for long... i will delete them probably in a week... so take a look...

well... to be honest... i was secretly preparing for impact of such an outcome... well^^... next year i will make wooden guns for the lot of ´em and then they will have the chance to smash the weapons of the punny friends of them^^

Post by: dsteingass
The other kids break them out of spite/jealousy or what?
24297
Post by: Viktor von Domm
well... that is all wrapped in mystery... if you werent there it is all guesswork... the first day i was rather pissed... then i got a bit my feathers down and started to ask questions... could be everything... dunno why my son (felix/aka han) gave his blaster into the hands of some "friend"... but in the end it was shredded so to say... if i give my best it will be a nice deiplay piece again tho... it can be saved!... but yeah... other kids can be quite monsters if they see someone with better stuff around...
oskar on the other hand fought the living daylight out of his oponents wooden sword... but...well plastic is no match against wood...next time he gets a wooden lightsaber! thats for sure...of course... if i could get some real lightsaber crystals... now there would be some fierce smashing soon^^

Smashed!...
I suppose if you wanted to make something sturdy, all out of wood and held together with wood-glue? Then again if you make it too too sturdy they might end up throwing them at each other and end up at the hospital... (recalling the shenanigans my brothers and I got up to when we were kids..) It's better that the toys break rather than the kids themselves

I had many a days where my costume with weapons included were broken/destroyed. One halloween couple of kids try to jump me for my candy. Sadly i had a fully loaded, automatic AEG airsoft gun on my costume. Yay being a trooper in the grim dark future. Krieg would be proud, i unloaded around 2000 rounds into their faces. Apparently they were friends of my brothers, he said they had really screwed up skin on their face(the next day). The gun was later kid napped by a really big kid in his twenties (i was about 13?) and the kid smashed up the gun. *sigh* these things happen.

Nice, Vik. Super impressed with the lasrifle. And I apologise for dumping the E-11 on your plate. At some stage I'll dig out my E-11 and see about doing some more work to it...
As for your disaster with the kids 'toys', man that's not good. Hopefully Karma will drop a big can of whoop ass on the kid who broke the blaster - the saber getting smashed is to be expected I guess, I know my boy has broken a few plastic swords in his time, luckily his saber is still in one piece - one he made at Disney World and he loves it too much to try and break his freinds heads with...

My parents where not attending because i was out with my friends! Haha, eh i was a proper fat kid back in the day, easy looking target for stupid pranks and the sort. In the end i was too scared to actually stand up to the big old dude, i was more or less impressed i even stood up to the kids. Felt great, and made me turn my life around away from the computer and into the physical world. Definitely a moment i was never upset about and was many years ago.

Forgot to answer your Kickstarter question as well...
Check this link out, http://www.kickstarter.com/help/faq/kickstarter%20basics hopefully answers most questions, but as I understand it, you pledge whatever you feel you can afford - if the goal value is reached by all pledges then the project gets funded, and the money passes on to the project team to pay for the production costs etc... you then get your pledge rewards and any stretch goals. If the goal isn't reached, then the pledges are refunded to the backers.
There is some risk I guess in this, but you do your research and take a punt if you think it's worthy. Westwind have been around for a few years so I'd say that this is pretty genuine IMHO.

Coming along nicely, Vik! I must have missed the memo: is this a display piece or a costume piece? I just ask because the biggest challenge I see so far is the grip: not so ergonomic Also, have you thought about wrapping with cord or wire? That would give you good texture without having to grab onto those plastic chunks.

hey guys!
i am sorry i am not that often online to have a little chat with you my fiends these times... life is a rollercoaster...so they say... my sons seventh birthday... which led us to build lots of lego models and visit even legoland with a special star wars feature... it was a blast! no pun inteded! we had a great time and came back all exhausted, believe me! so many mini star wars lego models... i was having hysterics they had a big well kown scenery of the berlin "bundestag" (the place where our rulers/tortures/criminals do their ugly deeds...) and had this been invaded by an army of droids... brilliant sublte political statement or just a misinterpretation on my part? well^^
i am still working on the lasgun... here are the pics to proove... but work progresses a bit slower than planned... life...and all the other stuff
the scope/ grip is still seperate... lots of detailwork still needed... i am making it all up as i go along... so this will be a highly unique and not really out of the book job...we´ll see when we get to the painting stage what´s what^^
Rogue Wolves wrote:Life sized lasgun? very cool Vik, and you can never go wrong with hans blaster.. just the other day I had an arguement with my father its a shame he thinks luke is vastly superior to han... not even close in my books
HA!!! my kids know han is well on top when coolness is concerned... tho i have to say atm my kids are highly in favor of boba fett and his "father"... talk about the love of kids for the bad guys^^
and just between you and me... i always thought of luke as a bit lukewarm

well....welcome back mister!!! nice to have you here again... i can feel your pain... my earlier laptop was gone due to repairs some years agi for about half a year too... so i know what you are talking about... and no other way i had to check the stuff i liked too....gods...we are so addicted^^
Valhalla130 wrote:Vik, sorry to hear about your kids stuff.

well...first... thank you^^... and second... i have to tell you all something here... this lasgun... this very lasgun mates... it is meant to be sold... and i am not biased about to whom i may sell it too... i secretly had planned to do an ebay auction for this one... i also thought about showing this on the swap shop too... so... i am game for everything... if you are truly interested... this peice was meant to be sold...drop me a line if you are interested...
HAZZER wrote:Looking good vik!!!Also if you have time i woud love it if you could pop back round onto my blog as well? Cant wait to see that lasgun finished dude!!!

hey rawson... it is meant to be as something the future buyer wants it to be... yes... it is planned to be sold... ergonimic grip... yeah... atm it is not all it was planned to be... but as you can see... i´ve started some detailing on the grip...everything needs some sanding and cutting still to look better... it wont be anything near comfy at all nevertheless... the shape of the grip wont be that easy to make nice... but at least i do my best to get it cool looking... that´s at least 9 out of ten for me^^...
the idea to use wire or something else for the grip is out of the question tho... i have planned to do this gun only out of plastic card... no mixery of other materials for this one... so only different thicknesses of PC and other rods and stuff will get used....and putty^^...
cheers, vik

LOL... well... wouldn´t color me as a brainy guy...so i guess monitoring my brain goes and woes would not be that government interesting...HA! fooled ya, didn´t i? d´oh...*drools*...
on a related issue...
red skull sightings have been frequently reported throughout the empire... tho captain viktory is always valiantly roaming the lands of the queeny... this evil scheming fella has his treacherous hands into some nefarious deeds...
or to put it another way...i´ve begun working on the red skull character... atm i am sieving through my vast bitzbox collections...
i started with this model:
my first metal beheading action ever! getting the pinning hole inside and making room for the selected head and neck part was quite tricky i tell you...but in the end the material gave in to my will...
here is a selection of skull heads...courtesy of RS Jake.... atm i am leaning towards the grey one on the left... tho the peakcaped one is also a good choice... the pickel haube head i think would over do it...or do you think this might be a good choice in some steampunky context?
 sorry poor pic quality...
and this is a plan i have for the left hand of red skull... atm he is holding his cigar stubb... but i intend to saw off this hand and replace it with some fancy stuff... i guess you could now speak your mind to the fullest here... i am open to suggestions as usual!
by the way... couldn´t find pics... but didn´t red skull used to wear some kind of powerfist device? some bigger red fist? or am i mixing stuff with hellboy now???
anyways... looking forward to your feed back!
cheers, vik

LOL... well the classic red skull had lots of apeal... nasty leader and an arch villian as badest as you can get... but the good thing with doom is...he is ruthless and highly inteligent too...but he has a conscience... he cares for his disciples in latveria... this drives him on... at least that was his character theme back in the golden age of comics...
at LDD... while the fist pic of the red skull you showed is more true to the accident that "made" the red skull at all... i like the second pic better... first one is all in all way too brutal... i like poster boy villians Automatically Appended Next Post: oh... and no comments about the arms choices??? i am disapointed!!!

You could give him some kind of SP hand holding the cube as in the movie could tie it in nicely with your theme but not over doing it.
Also add a holstered weapon with the SP theme running through it, more an open holster so you can see more of the weapon (solo type holster)

First an awesome Captain Viktory and now a Red Skull in progress. I can't wait to see it. And now I know what the leader of my future Chaos army is going to be. I can just see a whole bunch of renegade Imperial Guardsmen, led by the Red Skull. It would perfectly tie in to my wish to own two Guard armies to. Both set to reenact Stalingrad. My Valhallans, and an army of Steel Legion led by the Red Skull.
