Last I checed the portal was still blocked off so I imagine not :/ which is a shame I like the quick xp that can be got there... Suppose I'll just find a nether fort and make a blaze spawner for now...
Cantium wrote: Suppose I'll just find a nether fort and make a blaze spawner for now...
Eavon14 and I stumbled onto an unclaimed nether fortress out by our far flung base. We've contained 3 blaze spawners and are working on making a grinder for people who need blaze rods.
To get to it, go to the South West corner of the Nether Hub and follow the tunnel to my Portal (Jericho). Go past the portal and follow the path through the netherrack and there should be a hole in the ceiling.
Thanks guys. Will keep checking back to see how stuff is going with the server, don't mind waiting for a while, I know the risk of grief first hand having been an admin on a couple of servers before.

^^ good to know. as long as its not too hard to get too though im after XP over blaze rods... so if its not an auto grinder thats great news

That is, nowhere in the Nether. Also, watch out for mobs when you come through to the Overworld- I haven't quite finished torching the whole thing properly yet.
Not quite. For some reason, there's about a cubic chunks worth of space that's glitching out hardcore inside the Nether Fortress that's on the path. There's a ghast fireball that's lag trailing, and you can't add or remove blocks because they keep flickering in and out of existance whenever you try to interact with them. And it's right in the path to the Hub.

Have you got coords of the location of this phenomena? I'll investigate and see if it can be resolved.

I found a place near those coords where the bridge wasn't complete and there were floating fireballs. Floating fireballs are normal, it's when a fireball reaches an unloaded chunk, it just gets stuck.
I've swatted the fireballs away and completed the missing section of bridge:
As I didn't encounter any problems there, it's likely the symptoms you were describing happened due to some lag at that time on the server.
Matt, if you lost anything important, let me know and I'll return it.
Very nice! Yeah, I figured it was lag, but it stayed around for multiple days (real world time) between me logging off and on. It was very odd. Hopefully I won't have the same issue again. thankee!
(1) I tried to move a brewing stand yesterday and when it was broken down it disappeared. Is this normal? Should I have used a specific tool to break it up? It's no biggy as I had a couple of blaze rods spare anyway but I'd like to know if it was a server error, or me being an idiot, just in case I want to move things around in future.
(2) I'm dipping my toe into the YouTube thing and wondered if anyone else on the server made videos. Clearly we're no Hermitcraft or Mindcrack but if anyone else is producing stuff it would be nice to know just in terms of being nosey.

(2) Yes a few people have done videos, but nothing much on a regular basis (that I know of). I don't think I need to give permission, but people do seem to ask every now and again, so yes, anyone has permission to record videos. I mean, if people wanted to keep things to themselves, there's the singleplayer mode right there
Just wondering, does the PC version have the equivalent of the xbox 360 'natural' pack?
Just asking as I pondering getting the PC version as well, but the vanilla version of MInecraft wants me to tear my eyes out, its seems quite subtle, but the natural changes really make the look of the world much more appealing to me.
If you feel the need Mel, but tbh generation wars bores the hell out of me.
I said xbox 360 natural pack because I have no idea if that is a lone upgrade pack on the PC or a combination of mods, There was no slight against the PC minecraft eitherway and I am well aware where Minecraft comes from.
Hell isn't it just nice to see a game like Minecraft come to Consoles and conquer just as well over there as it did on PC.
Huh, is it a problem on my end, or is it no longer possible to destroy a minecart that you're currently riding? Nor does it seem that they can be placed anywhere other than rails either.

A few additional benefits of the PC version (I'm not trying to knock the Xbox version - sometimes you really can't beat sitting in the same room as your friends)
Texture packs are free.
Resolutions of up to 512px are now supported without the need for any mods (this may be useful for you if you dislike the pixellated style of Minecraft)
You can switch between texture packs without needing to quit the game.
You can edit or even make your own packs. (Like a pack but hate how cows look? Fix it yourself)
Texture packs are now known as resource packs, because you can also add resources such as new sounds.
You can call it a console war type post, if you want, but really, it's the truth here. The massive variety of texture packs on the PC version-- and all of them free of charge!-- has existed for a long time.
Heck, I build my own texture packs occasionally, because it's pretty easy to do! And that's not even touching things like Painterly.
Hey guys, must say that you've done a really nice job with the nether hub! I've settled about 5000 blocks west of spawn. Just made my nether portal and was pleased to find that the western tunnel was just below it, so that's less work for me to do to link them
I've made a long tunnel with a minecart rail line all the way from my Portal (Jericho) to the Cadian Gate where I have a 2nd home. This tunnel is private, intended for travel between Jericho and the Cadian Gate only, and as such its completely isolated from the rest of the Nether Hub network. It passes below the Western tunnel and several other tunnels - use those public tunnels if you need to connect to the network.
I'd appreciate it if people don't connect their tunnels to it as I don't want the rail line being broken or obstacles and breaches in the tunnel.
Some sections have cyan glass walls so are fairly distinctive.

Don't need the ender eye now, I got one. Lapis is the main thing, since its my favourite block and I tend to use it a lot in decoration. Hmm for 14ish blocks, well depends on what you want in return really.

The Slime Block[1] is an upcoming, transparent block that resembles a slime. It causes the player to bounce at various heights, depending on the length of the fall. The block is expected to be introduced in the Minecraft 1.8 version for PC. Such blocks are now able to be implemented due to a new rendering system.[2] Slime blocks also causes players to move slower while walking on it. Both players and mobs who'd fall onto this block would take no fall damage.
I'm going to build a platform at max height, with a giant hole in the ground beneath it, all the way down to bedrock, just to see how high I can bounce.

Simple enough to make a 1 block deep gap above the slime blocks, and making a 3x3 around where you land.
And how is Lapis renewable, sir?
Also, new stone. Yays! I wonder if it might be replacing the normal stuff, or if the normal stuff will get its own specific name. This game is getting more and more Dwarf Fortress-y.

Villagers now have a chance to sell lapis for emeralds.
I think I may need to start doing villager stuff. Trades can be super useful, emerald blocks would be nice for decoration, and I may have to look into making an iron farm or foundry or something. Plus, having an underground tunnel-based village would be kinda neat.
My Villagers seem to be suffering from a form of mass hysteria. I've given them plenty of space, yet they all try to cram into the same corner. I had to shove and kick them apart and locked them into wooden pens to seperate them.
I sort of fixed it in the City of Ghost by building a small shack near their favourite building. Shack about 3x2 inside, 80% of the population must be inside it somehow... There was over 100 of them.

I'm not sure what it is really, I just started making it with stained clay before the stained glass was added and didn't fancy going back to change it. Something of a Labor of Love for the most part getting all the materials and making sure I don't misplace a block and make everything out of place. But thanks for the compliment

It's just that stormlord's post about losing his flowers reminded me about making a flower garden in my estate. Problem is, I can't find a flower biome to get the unique flowers that spawn there.
So keep me updated on that possible flower biome near your place!
Has anyone used my underground iron farm at -2180,-200 and borrowed at least two full stacks of iron blocks (there's a slight chance that i have stored them in the village nearby at -2080,-250, but they are gone either way)?
If so, please return and please leave a note next time.
I like it. But there are very few changes. Like only four blocks, a few changes to doors. Villager trading kind of sucks even more, because they don't give you as many options as before, they stop after six trades, instead of the usual 9. Diamond armor is extremely rare to find. (Actually every armor is harder to find now, and same with anything iron. Diamond weaponry is more common for some odd reason)
You can trade potatoes and carrots for emeralds.
I like what they did with some parts but they need to make villagers more useful than that. Because even with that update it actually made the villagers worse at trading.

There is one near(ish) to me which is where I got all my rare flowers from. I intend to set up a flower spawner/harvester in the area to mass produce them within the next week (once I hook it up to the Nether system and get all the bonemeal for it. Once I've done that I'll let you know and sort out a place to drop some off if you want?

thanks for the heads up i tend to only put fires in totally stone structures even then its usually about 20 blocks to the first combustible bit i got paranoid about fire after a house id been working on for months in Single player to do a video got totally destroyed... id miss placed one bit and bam the whole lot went while i was under ground... damn my love for timber framed building styles...
Hmmm, some sort of rough white carpet? I wouldn't use it.
as a geology student id have them may even build a Geological society of minecraft building in my village and have a rock display ... yes its true the dirt people cant get away from their work it kinda is an obsession too
Villagers only breed after x number of trades? Huh, there goes repopulating villages over time without the player's intervention.
Slime Blocks? Ooh, yup I'll be having those. The reducing all fall damage thing's a nice extra, if perhaps a little OP (ie custard turns to a solid when hit with sufficient force, as would you not want to fall into water over a certain height, so slime could only reduce fall damage after a point rather than totally removing it. Still, would that be fun?).
I assume that Diorite and its derivatives have no use other than as decoration. That's fine, but I'd hope that in a later update they serve some other function. ...I just like collecting everything that I may use one day.
The Enchanting changes are a bit here and there for me, but I suppose I can't complain. Lapis Lazuli having a proper use (other than as a dye) is fair. Though the exp cost changes do seem to push players to remain alive longer if they want to enchant things (that is unless you want to sit at a grinder for ages).
The That Mitchell and Webb Look reference did make me snigger a little too. Just sayin'.
well i logged on today as i felt the urge to do some MC only to find my base has been ransacked. anything of value has been stolen, diamonds, emeralds, horse armor, saddles, leads. i have been stockpiling so much for so long i don't know what is missing but i can tell stuff is gone.
i havent been on very much since this last world reset and what i have been online doing just used items in my cobble chest, it would be easy to compare the contents of my chests from the previous world to the current, if the old world is still accessable. the exception to this would be the 2 gold horse armor i found since the reset.
I'd PM darkinnit about it then. But if you haven't been online in a while, it might be difficult to find who's got your stuff now. But at least he can replace what you lost.

I've got a very public Nether portal, and have stored my stuff in chests that are clearly visible. Never lost a thing to a thief, save for Normy, but well, we got that back!
Seems this theft occurred on Christmas day, for shame!
I've narrowed it down to 5 people who were online at the time, just checking player inventories from that time now...
For what it's worth, you shouldn't have to hide your stuff, because most people on the server are nice considerate folks who know that stealing is a bannable offence.

Yeah, your stuff shouldn't NEED to be hid unless you just feel like it. There's less obvious griefing going on now than there used to be though so I don't really hide most of my stuff any more.

Flower Forest biome located ... it is at http://www.darkinnit.com/newdakkamap/#/3433/64/-2502/max/0/0 (use the stable exit from the Mountain Crown nether portal). It's quite tiny but picturesque. You are of course welcome to come and pick flowers to your hearts' content, I have plans to build a cottage there eventually. I'm sure you already know this but please do NOT pick any double-height flowers (rose bushes, lavender, etc.) instead I think that applying bonemeal to an existing specimen will cause it to drop a clone of itself.
Cantium wrote:how about lots of iron? i could be persuaded to give something a little more important i have a fair few potions of harming two knocking about for example...
Iron would be just fine, thank you. I'll make a specific flint chest in the Mountain Crown portal room, just take what you want and leave payment in that chest (so I know what's what).
Sorry to hear about the recent thefts, that is miserable; but I'm glad that Dark is on the case. Such a shame, although I've not been around long there's a good sense of community on the server and I'd hate to think that there would come a point where we start defending our bases from one another. As ever, though, the Mountain Crown warmly welcomes any and all visitors, whether you've come for trade, caving, for our famous nature walks, or our wool.

though it's generally better to play it safe and put the more valuable stuff somewhere accessible, but not easily found (buried under the floorboards is a classic)

that does sound more fun...
I did have a vault on another server in which I built an obsidian room three blocks thick, with a series of jumping platforms and such like, and then there's a door which, if you push the button to open, will drop the player into a pool of lava unless they're stood on a specific block on the floor. The door then opens to a chest, which has "umad" spelt out in cobblestone
I would've gone for Justin Bieber fan-girls, but they cost too much to hire and they can be quite unpredictable. They also need feeding way more often, and are very picky about it.
Nah- best is either one of the many ways of hiding chests within blocks (using chest carts, usually) or just making such a vast, impossibly gigantic, tesselated in layout chest storage room mostly filled with cobblestone that they get tired of the chest opening noise before finding the good stuff.

Ah, but you see, the key is that the levers are removed after they're done being used! Therefore, there's nothing to say that that portion of wall is any different than any other!

Thanks for the flint I felt a stack for a stack was acceptable?

Tear down the wall.
If they're just going to be obvious andd blow a hole through the wall, they'll get banned even faster for it.
A quick chunk reset and it's all back to normal, and our server has -1 assclown.

Melissia wrote: You have a link via the nether? I'm on the opposite end of the map.
Yeah, I'm linked to the nethernetwork. Just follow the west going tunnel from the 0.0 hub till you reach stairs. It's the first entrance on the right at the end of those stairs, the one with the signs in german.
If you head East from the central spawn point, just follow the cobblestone road to it's end. There's a little shanty right on the other side of the tunnel. Help yourself to the cobblestone inside the chest, and leave whatever you feel is a fair trade.
Schellan, you logged before I could get back. I left some golden carrots in the chest by the wheat fields in the Spawn Fortress for your breeding needs. enjoy!
We should organize building a road between our two territories on that continent.
I'm down for that. I was actually considering building a road back to the main spawn point while I was hoofing it back and forth today transporting goods.

Well again it depends on how you're defining awesome doesn't it? But if your definition of awesome is "mega-structure" then no, I can pretty much guarantee that it won't be.
Doesn't need to be MEGA perse, but well thought out and aesthetic. Things like the Sacred Mountain, or stuff like that, though not huge epic mega projects, are done with a single intention from the start to the finish.
Though I do have a single intention, and a vision ... though at the moment the clarity extends only as far as the outside ... I do have a general idea of what I want on the inside but it needs more planning.
Mel, there should be a chest with some (maybe a stack or 2) of Netherrack in it right outside my nether portal in the overworld. My portal connects to the South West tunnel in the nether hub (the path next to the spawn portal)
There may even be some bricks, if so you can take them, too.
My that was disheartening. I get thrown off a mountain by a creeper blast and die. Then run halfway across the world to recollect my stuff. I then step into the netherportal I just built, and shortly there after get fireballed off a bridge into lava where I die and all of my stuff gets destroyed, and I respawn all the way on the other side of the world again.
Welcome to Minecraft, have a nice stay. So, the Ghasts are acting up again? Seems I need to remind them who's the Boss.

Yeah, i'm expecting no favor, but man it was a play killer for the night. Maybe tomorrow I'll feel better about it.
Losing all your stuff due to lava bathing never feels better, trust me, I'm an expert in this form of dying. I advice the abuse of this, or start taking revenge on some mobs.
Or get slimes, blaze rods, and make a buttload of Fire Resist potions, then laugh as the lava that was once a death sentence becomes your salvation from fall damage.
Anvildude wrote: Or get slimes, blaze rods, and make a buttload of Fire Resist potions, then laugh as the lava that was once a death sentence becomes your salvation from fall damage.
That's too easy, where's the challenge when you can't suffer?
Anvildude wrote: Or get slimes, blaze rods, and make a buttload of Fire Resist potions, then laugh as the lava that was once a death sentence becomes your salvation from fall damage.
I was under the impression that Lava doesn't affect your fall damage- you still take the damage. Could be wrong though.
You the damage as burning. The fall damage is negated though even fire resistance potions give you little option when you fall in the middle of a massive lava lake without enough time to make it to relative safety... So that's why I only use iron in the nether it's value less when you have a golem grinder so don't mind if I die with full iron kit... Though losing all the blaze rods I was running home with was irritating :p
Melissia wrote: Anyone mind if I raid their supply of netherrack/netherbrick?
I could also still use some cobblestone too, might raid more from Weitenwolfe's if he doesn't mind.
if you are still needing netherrack i have about 10-15 stacks of it that i dont need atm so you can help yourself. unfortunately i am not connected to the nether system at this time so overworld travel would be needed, on the bright side you could take a boat to my location and not have to worry about mobs.

Magma Cream appears to be rarer than Ghast Tears, hardly ever see the slimes and when I do they never seem to drop cream. Probably just my diabolical luck but Fire Resist potions are difficult to make if you don't have a supply of the raw materials.
4oursword wrote:How feasible is a golem grinder, anyway?
Iron farms may well break with 1.8 (because of the changes in villager breeding), though I haven't seen any definitive reports one way or another. If you are in a position to make one then I'd either get going and make what you can while you can, or hold on and see what happens once 1.8 hits.

If you have access to a lot of slimes and a blaze grinder you can make your own cream from slime balls and blaze powder.

I have a Blaze spawner (not yet a grinder) so rods/powder is easy (if a bit exciting) to come by, it's the Magma Cubes that are rare as hen's teeth round my neck of the nether.

Huh. Now I know.
How feasible is a golem grinder, anyway?
It's very doable the complex part is getting the villagers in place to get it working... The basic design is really quite simple to expand on once built...

There was nothing wrong with that at all (ok, aside from a missing apostrophe in "shouldn't" but I tend not to be that picky unless someone is being an arse ) so I guess it's worth getting iron farms set up before 1.8 hits then? You seeing this Sleitusmithr?
See, I just have almost a chest full of iron ore I haven't smelted yet. Because I use almost all stone tools. And tend to dig out rough mountains worth of material for my projects. I'm hanging on to it to use in decoration, but I might just keep it until they implement a way in Vanilla to multiply ore output.
Except I have aspirations of using it as a building material, rather than as tools. Same with gold, but apparently making a gold farm is rather easier. (might try that sometime, actually- apparently the current meta Gold Farm is just massive portals in the spawn chunk with drop killing into hopper collectors. I'd kinda like to use tons of Gold Blocks).
I definitely would set them up before the update because afterwards it's going to take a very long time and a lot of resources... That or you'll have a lot of zombie villagers to cure which incidentally is also quite expensive...
Just been AFKing by Cantium's iron golem farm all day (with his permission, natch), collecting ingots, and.... got killed by a witch! All my personal gear (enchante diamond pick etc...) is gone, but fortunately I'd stashed a load of the iron I'd gained, in my enderchest, shortly before getting offed.
Anyway, anyone else wanting to use the iron grinder AFK should probably consider upping the lighting levels.
So there's a bug where zombies that pick up eggs do not despawn ... ever. This can cause (I believe) server lag as I don't think that egg-carrying zombies count toward the mob limit for some reason. I thought this was a myth, or exaggerated ... until today.

It's Sphax Grunge BD Craft, I used to use Pure BD Craft (and the animated nether textures are much nicer) but I quite like the slightly gritty textures of Grunge.
Do any of you have experience with making resource packs? I been trying to do one that just changes the textures of Iron Blocks, Doors, Pressure plates and Gold blocks and plates, but for whatever reason it's not working. Checked the wiki, followed the instructions, but there's just something I don't think I'm gronking.
Also, I challenge folks on here to construct an Ice Palace/Spire in Minecraft- may use any blocks you like (probably will want to do it in Creative Mode on a singleplayer world), but it's gotta look like it was grown from ice crystals. I'm working on that myself, and BOY is it hard! I shall use posts as inspiration for when I am ready to cap off the Mesa.

Also I have a good idea for a safer way of traveling around my home town. But it's going to take an awful lot of work and won't be implemented any time soon but essentially it'll be putting in "sewers" which each building will have some form of access to the network allowing for safe travel throughout the night too.

I have about 16 stacks at my base. I have no plans to use it, so if you head along the Western Nether Tunnel you'll find my portal (if you reach Cantium you've gone to far, I'm the one before him) then head inside my base and it'll be in a chest on the righthand side of the storage room (at the far end of the hall) labeled sand/sandstone
My suggestion is to make it a level walkway, whatever you make it out of. Cut through stuff instead of building over it, make bridges instead of stairways. That sort of thing.
Also, in relation to the Ice Palace challenge- making an automatic ice generator (that's Bud based, not clock based) is actually turning out to be rather difficult. Every system I try for some reason sets up an infinite piston loop. Anyone got any suggestions?

Actually, a building challenge every now and then would be really cool!
Ah. That's a clocked generator. I was thinking more like what Static did in his Redstone Challenge with the ice fountain. Thing is, the Bud switch he used is obsolete now due to the redstone updates. I think I might be able to make a working system with current bud switches, but the sheer speed of them is actually a problem- the old ones could be used to pulse a little easier.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Success! I have managed it myself (utilising a BUD switch from a tutorial). In all it's glory, an Automated Ice Maker!

Err... I'll happily accept Netherack, Nether Bricks, quartz or flowers (of any variety) as I have ongoing/upcoming projects that require those. I'll leave quantities up to you, just leave what you feel is fair in one of the chests in the center of the room

Are there any specific types of flowers you want? In what quantities do you want them? I'm a bit strapped for bonemeal at the moment but if time isn't a factor (or you want to throw me a ton of bones ) then I can rustle up pretty much whatever you want (offer does not include sunflowers).

Right now I'll take almost anything. I'm working on designs for an automated flower farm in a flower forest biome I found, but haven't yet settled on a designs that I like. The project is a while off yet but I figured if I start stockpiling them now it'll help in the long run

I really like this texture pack! But may I ask, how do you get your toolbar to change like that? Mine has the funky shapes, but not the better tool icons and armor/food/xp bars.
Hmmmm.... seems like the pack isnt texturing tools. You can see stuff like your torches are getting the new texture.
You have the newest version of the pack? Other than that, maybe restart minecraft.
I think you need the vanilla bdcraft pack as well since a few things are still missing in the grunge pack. The grunge bdcraft pack needs to be above the regular bdcraft pack in the resource list.
Anvildude wrote: So did anyone actually take me up on the Ice Palace build challenge?
I'm genuinely interested in seeing what people come up with for that, as Google surprisingly is somewhat disappointing in its results.
I'd be all over it but I don't have a silk-touch tool at the moment so ice isn't a material I can work with ... and I really don't fancy building a house in a mold ... that's just odd.
Well been learning more about the next updates changes to iron golems... Turns out if you want iron you'll need to kill them yourself... Looks like I'll be modifiing the farm a bit then... And it won't be an auto killer any more. :/... Oh well at least I won't have to deal with the changes to villager spawning so only a minor inconvenience to me...

Precisely. That's where I'm doing it, anyways. I haven't yet set up my own ice generator (though I should probably get on that- I think I don't have enough redstone, though) and I'm working on getting a cheap silk touch stone pick (since repairing is going to be a lot cheaper with stone than with iron or diamond).
Also, I'm kinda loving the ability of the new launcher to choose profiles for different versions- I installed Tinker's and Railcraft into a singleplayer world for me to play around in- I find that I seriously miss the hammer and the excavator in Vanilla.
Oh that's ok then :p still now that I got myself all geared up for a change to the system seems a bit of a waste to not make a few tweeks :p plus what I was planning would improve efficiency 100 fold
Much thanks to BBrotherwood and Gangstamuffin for aiding me after my solitary attempt of killing the wither on my own failed miserably after the first 10 seconds.

Thats easily viewable from a far setting, so it's the builders fault for putting it there. Builder of the cobblestone buckets needs to do something about it, not Dr What.
Stormlord, I'm trying my best to give you the materials (a few stacks of quartz and quartz blocks, as well as some bonemeal for flowers and flowers) but my gaming computer is being temperamental and keeps shutting down randomly. (It is slowly dying...)
I'll continue to try and get you your materials, but it may take a bit longer because of my stupid computer...
Hey folks, just got permission to join, I came to ask if anyone would mind if I extended the Western path by turning it a bit then straightening it West again between these 2 structures. But that would cut the path really close to the small brown house, which, according to the markers, no one is even using as a spawn, so I don't know if anyone would be annoyed at such a path.
http://www.darkinnit.com/newdakkamap/#/-452/64/296/-3/0/0 maybe I should make a forest engulfed path? A Tunnel? It looks like it's already in a tunnel though. Go NW then turn West here?
http://www.darkinnit.com/newdakkamap/#/-597/64/-23/-3/0/0 That would bring it close to a bearded statue and fort.
The path isn't necessary of course. If you or anyone doesn't like it or thinks I might step on someones toes by building it, I'll just forget about it.
The only reason I chose that area for the hole in the ground is the grass colour for any underground lawns.
Though if there are any existing projects for me to lull away my time on, that'd be good because I have little follow through on my previous projects. Especially when I consider how long it took me to tear down a mountain. Making a big hole in the ground, that's sealed so it isn't visible from the sky, would take too long. Hopefully something big and menial that I can't get wrong, like land clearance, a sky platform, wall filling or cavern digging. It's all just a time sink. Too many forgotten projects.
If you really wanna do some land clearing, I could probably use some help leveling out a couple mountains here. If you can follow the pattern of the wall, and leave the wall itself to me (plus, keep the cobble for the walls- just put it in any chest space you can find- the Dirt can be gotten rid of if you want, though) then you don't need any supervision.
I'm also planning some extensive underground excavations (again) if you don't mind doing the whole 'diggy diggy hole' thing for someone else, but that's gonna happen at a later date.
Those Hills? Sure, I might be there in a couple of hours. I won't be logged in for at least another 15 minutes.
It's examples like this that make me thankful that in the real world we have roads.
EDIT: A combination of a Creeper, lag and your automated doors resulted in an explosion at your white south doors. The doors are fine, still there. Just thought you should know there's a bit of damage that I don't know how you would arrange it again. So much for working without supervision.
Eh. No big problem. Just make sure to not go into the Ice Spikes biome (I got plans, see) and you'll be fine. Feel free to use any of the food and tool resources in the main chamber- the stuff upstairs is a friends. And thanks for the help!
I know it was mentioned when the map was reset, but did we establish rules for ownership of Mesa biomes? I don't really want a whole one just a little mound to mine for hard clay.

First have a look at the two signs on the front of the larger cobble building, to see if they have any identifying text. If not, then go for it I guess.

They're just first come first served, just like the rest of the world. I only had restrictions on where I would copy structures to, so that people couldn't "prebook" all the good spots.
I have the right hand part of the southern mesa, the one to the right of the desert. Not sure who owns that part, haven't heard from the guy who claimed left of the desert.
No idea. Obviously someone with massive and awesome plans has something on the other side of that.
