Oh no, we don't serve anything in a 5 liter size (or any *liter* size) For beer you can get a pitcher, 32-48 ounces (~1.4L), or a growler (Stop laughing, Brits.), 64-68 ounces (~2L) We do have a mini keg, which is 5L. (~1.32 Gal) Most of the beers available in such things are not American. The few American products available in mini kegs really do not deserve to be called beer. At least the last time I checked, which was a few years ago.

A good portion is addressing rules that remain valid from the previous expansions.
Ideally they'll be able to smooth out some of these wrinkles whenever AF drops. Lordy, I hope they don't introduce any new rules for AF; the game definitely has enough complexity as is. New profiles & sectorials will be more than enough

Apparently Carlos stated that the Black Friar would be an August release. I don't think they spoke of any other release. I'm not sure we will be seeing as many releases as we usually do, since the months following large box releases are typically smaller.
Carlos also said there would be only one Dire Foes release this year, the one that's being marketed as a complement to O:RV, and that the box would come with "a fairly attractive female civie/HVT". As if it could be anything else.
So, Black Friar releases in August. That's a new PanO unit down.
Wonder if this will finally be a good USARF month again? I won't count the Foxtrot Ranger because really, we didn't need a Boarding Shotgun Foxtrot. We're four months late on the Marauders box; it was said to be coming in June back when HSN3 dropped.

And then they also said that USAriadna would be getting a release month after month after month. How well did that turn out? As a rule i never start a brand new Infinity army until at least 1,5 - 2 years after they get their first model as its about that time it has it has enough models out.
If they say something that is more then a month away i take it as wishlisting/speculation and not as facts.

USARF is a rather drab serious sectorial. Hopefully new releases will inject a little excitement. They're mostly very stoic, professional & practical releases. Plus a single dog marine.

USARF, as a whole, is one of those Sectorials where you are going to see very distinctive looks to each 'subfaction' of the Sectorial. You have the militia units which are the Desperadoes and Hardcases(the "rugged outdoorsman" look), you then have the actual USAriadna Ranger Forces in the form of Grunts, Van Zant, Foxtrots, Mavericks, Blackjacks, Minutemen, Airborne, and the Marauders(tacticool). You then have the "outsiders" in the form of the Unknown Ranger(there's an argument to be made here that he could be part of the Ranger Forces proper but I put him on the outside since he is no longer a Ranger, but rather he's someone who seems to "appear" whenever Ranger forces need aid), USAriadnan Marine Corps "Devil Dogs", Wardrivers, WarCors, Dozers, 112 Emergency Services, and Traktor Muls.
So yeah. They are going to be "mostly very stoic, professional, and practical releases" in terms of the sculpts...except the actual releases we've gotten? We got a Grunt box(great!), a Desperado box(meeeeeeh), a Hardcase(meeeh), a Devil Dog repose/arm repack(can't count it wholly as new since it's the same K9 Antipode and basically the same Devil Dog proper), an Airborne Ranger, the Van Zant arm substitution pack, and a female Foxtrot Ranger with Boarding Shotgun(really not sure who was clamoring for that release).
USARF is missing basically everything else from its list. There's a single Maverick(available only in the USARF army pack), a single Marauder(USARF starter set/army pack), a single Minuteman(starter/army pack) and no Blackjacks. Unknown Ranger is going to be GenCon and then general release at some point.
As someone who didn't have any airbrush experience, I thought a tutorial could be found on internet that could have the same effect as the book. The explanation of the basic step by step was somewhat lacking and felt rushed. Fortunately I've received it as a gift. I could never reason spending so much for a LE of Joan - who is a very iconic PanO character. I was hoping a regular resculpt of her would be available by now, so much for that.
I missed out on the first book, but meh. I find that I like using the bristle brush for most things anyway, and just use the airbrush for priming and laying down quick base coats. That said, I do wish Angel the best of luck with Volume II.
Will we see a reveal of the LE mini to come with his book in next Saturday's GenCon presentation (6 August)? More importantly, will the presentation be streamed, and/or saved for later viewing as it has been in previous years?
I'm more interested in the reveal of DF6.
And I saw an interesting post from Bostria on the Official Forums. Seems he is going to be at a local to me tournament this Labor Day week-end, and since the ITS2016 ends before this tournament, he will be bringing surprises about the ITS2017. So there may be a preview/reveal there.

It would be nice it it were N3.5, the ruleset without the magic spells and several hundred weapon/ammo options. It's become way too much to keep track of at this point, unless one plays the game as a lifestyle instead of casually.

The book is written very much in the style of a lot of European modeling magazines, I own several different magazines from this style and believe it or not Angel's book is actually more detailed then what a lot of them provide. That being said Angel has stated that with v2 he's taking a lot of peoples criticisms to heart and is planning on covering more basics and going into more detail. I enjoyed the first enough, and have gotten into airbrushing, that I'll pick up the second but if it's just more basic step by steps like the first I probably won't get the 3rd.

The quick reference pages at the back help. The fact that there's 8 double sided, super dense 'quick' reference pages says a lot about how complex the game has gotten though. But really, having those printed separate really helps.
This is part of the reason my brother and I have been playign Malifaux a lot more than Infinity lately.

This does not speak well of those magazines neither changes my view on the book. That said, if Giraldez has taken the level of those magazines as his indicator of quality it would explained few things.

I have made a comment that for a casual player the Infinity system would need to be run on PC to handle all the various rule interactions, rule - ability inquiries and correct MOD calculations, otherwise they're going to be spending more time looking for/at the rules on their tablet/phone/rulebook than actually enjoying the game. I started playing with few others who are more casual/new and the difference between a try hard/Jock and a casual player is noticeable in multiple aspects. For a casual player unless he dedicates a considerable time in grinding and learning the rules, Infinity is not a kind system to get into.
Speaking as a casual player, I just find that I don't use the more complex and esoteric units and bits of equipment. Thankfully, everyone else I play is in the same boat.
Ive just been using the Icestorm rules when I play at home and the pdf stats for other stuff I bought. Ive ordered Red Veil to give me more basic rules-friendly armies to play with/against. Good enough for my needs.
I dont game in clubs or stores, just at home, so the basic rules do. I'll never learn the rules with my memory the way it is anyway.

Well yes, in the whole 'cyrillic substitute for Latin letters'. But if read as written, it's gibberish.
This is 2016, it's not hard to have someone write you a phrase in Russian or another language that uses Cyrillic alphabet that actually means something. Gibberish "English written with lookalike Cyrillic letters" is a cheap copout.
Damn, I have yet to paint my Djan HMG conversion. Guess I need to move my ass!
Of course I'll still get the box probably. Black friar to add to my "someday I'll play PanO" pile.

Vanilla keeps tempting me but I'm sticking with QK for now. (well, right up until red veil shows up and I stop stalling on the maghariba guard)
Will explain how to paint each faction step by step with additional info I.E. weathering.
Big who cares. Angel's books only sell because of name recognition and an exclusive model at this point. I can get better information from Osprey publishing books on scale armor when it comes to weathering...or I can go online and find it for free.
September's going to be another shoddy month, release wise. STILL no Minuteman or Marauder box, but thank freaking god we got a second biker box right?
Unless you are watching and grinding your teeth as they talk about 10 new ideas they are thinking about.
You mean this:
1. New Corvus Belli Fantasy Wargame !!!
2.Operation whatever Combined vs Aleph
3. 0-12 Army Pack
4. Acheron Falls Rulebook
5. Infinity Dungeon Crawler game
6. Arestia
7. Dogbowl
8. Infinity Deathmatch
9. Remote Racing Game
10. Red Veil expansion box
Am fine with all of that, barring Red Veil expansion box and CB doing a Fantasy game. Do Yu Jing and Haqqislam Army Packs instead of an "expansion box".
I've always been of the mind that they should do Ariestia!(which is Infinity Deathmatch BTW--not sure why they've got it split into two places?) and Remote Racing as "sidegames".
Ariestia! has several of the named recreations and Senor Massacre as participants, so it's not like there would be no room for model crossover unless they do something stupid.
ImAGeek wrote: Speak for yourself, I'm very excited to see the Overdron, new Garuda and Taskmasters.
Good for you. I've been waiting since June for the flipping Marauder box that was supposed to come out then.
It's ridiculous that a range which was supposed to see a release a month and get "at least one box of non-Grunt infantry" has yet to see either of those things become true. We got two different biker boxes(who cares?), a (IMO) much worse generic release of a character that got options removed from his blister format, two blisters of single profiles for units(Airborne Rangers and Hardcases--I'm much more lenient with Hardcases however since both profiles have the Tactical Bow), a Grunt box, a variant arm set of the Devil Dog(where they didn't even bother trying to mess with the K9 Antipode which is a major letdown), and a blister of a female version of a model that is most fielded in one specific profile(Forward Observer), with the most random weapon(Boarding Shotgun) for the Foxtrot Rangers.
So yeah. I can speak for myself, and I am. I'm disappointed with how they handled USARF in comparison to the fact that they're throwing everything at the stupid Yu Jing.
Not bad. I'll get him in addition to the GenCon variant a friend picked up for me.
As annoyed as I am about the addition of more Bikers, those look muuuuuuuuch better than the one that came in the Army Pack. I would like to point out, however, that I called it.
I said that it was going to include a Rifle profile and either the Molotok or the LRL/SMG profile and they would release another box later on down the road.
ImAGeek wrote: Marauders are coming this year, Minutemen early next year.
I'll believe it when I see it.
Would also like to point out that it's not a case of "Minutemen are getting their box early next year". The specifics of the answer were:
"There will be a Minuteman box and blister. We hope early next year."
There are 5 different loadouts that are possible.
USAriadna Ranger Force ──────────────────────────────────────────────────
Yeah, and he said June for Marauders back in March or April. Here we are in August with no renders and a statement of "this year".
Excuse me for being skeptical of anything that Bostria says these days.
and a mini for each profile.
There's already a mini for the 2 LFT profiles(AP Rifle and Rifle), if we want to get technical. It's in the USARF box.
In any regards, my point was which profile is going to get the blister treatment?
Are all of the models actually going to be new, or are they just going to blister the LFT model?
Probably will be leave the 2 LFT in the starter and a 4 man box for the others. I'm assuming that's what's going to happen with the Djan as well (sniper missing from the 4 shown, whenever a new QK box drops there it is) I think the moiras are in the same situation.
Alpharius wrote: Are Djanbazan's going to be in the Al-Medinat sectorial?
Because of the similarities to Naffatun armour?
I guess that's just a style direction for Haqq in general.
They definitely look like 4-2 MI now. Looking forward to a clearer pic. Surprised that the HMG seems to have a bare arm?
Can almost do my 'all new model' QK list now. Barring Hafzas, they scale well with the new stuff anyway.
Leila looks great as well. If Yu Jing hadn't had such a great release year this would have been the Year of Haqq releases!
Wow, that new Garuda design looks so much better! Hopefully it won't be quite the pain in the butt the original was to assemble.
Everything looks really god though, as usual. I don't see a single one that I don't like. One question though. Is the TAskmaster supposed to be classed as a mini TAG like the Gecko, or is it just really heavy armor, like the Azra'il and the new Ahl Fassed?

It's a S5 heavy infantry, like the Azra'il, Ahl Fassed, Yan Huo etc.

I'm looking forward to the book. The first was a huge help to me and i still reference it now. Could not care less what the mini will be, and unless i can use it on the table will be ebaying it for something i can.
Interesting. Djanbazans are nice, but not so nice that I'll make a priority of getting them. The Dire Foes 6 Box OTOH, very cool. It has been a while since CB had a seated mini... One of the Post-Human Proxies IIRC.
Alpharius, no, the Djanbazan are not going into the Al-Medinat.
I'd like to see CB make a Fantasy Game. The minis would be superb. Plus, it would mean less bloat to Infinity.
BrookM wrote: When will that O-Yoroi pilot be released? She'll make for an excellent tank commander alongside the Bootlegs I got.
Mañana, por supuesto
November at the earliest, but CB won't announce the October releases (available in November) until, well, October. Check back then.
Stupid unsupported brainfart re: CB fantasy.
I'm wondering if they go back and do a 15mm mass battle fantasy line. After all, they got their start doing historicals in that scale, IIRC, and it'd make big, impressive ranks easier...
Conversion idea since the Djanbazan box is missing an AP Rifle and the armour is essentially Naffatun armour with some extra plates on the shoulderpads. Get the female, helmetless Naffatun. Get an extra Djanbazan Doctor and Hacker. Put the Doctors pistol arm and hackers AP Rifle arm on the female Naffatun. Bam, AP rifle in a cool action pose.
I'd like to see CB make a Fantasy Game. The minis would be superb. Plus, it would mean less bloat to Infinity.
When asked years ago about making their 28mm fantasy line WarCrow into a game. They said we love to if we were millionaires, looks like it is finally time.
Dunno if I need a new Bakunin starter but it looks like a nice batch. Those Taskmasters though....dang. My Bakunin will finally have a heavy to rival my corregidor geckos.
Fantasy game? Intrigued. I love infinity minis. Wonder if they'll have a manga aesthetic for fantasy or something totally different?
That Bakunin Taskmaster is amazing. Damn. I'm not a Nomad fan, but I may have to pick that up. It'll be interesting to see the new starter box with the "Colussus" Morlock.
I'm intrigued by thought of a fantasy game. I've greatly missed Confrontation, and I could see Corvus Belli creating a game of equal creativity and wonder.
I thought that the Colossus Morlock was a nice touch.
Initially, I was thinking that it was a bit of an odd direction, but when you think about it, if we had gene-splicing today, some lunatic would want to make themselves into their favourite mutant superhero.
New boxed set: Wolverine, Sabertooth, Beast and Angel.
i bought a few Warcow minis, but they didn't grab me the same way that even the first run of Infinity minis did...
if they are going to redo Fantasy minis, they had better step-up their game...
the new Infinity renders look amazing...
i hope that O-Yoroi pilot is out in time for the local con next month...
Fantization always gets my money at events, and they carry Infinity

It won't be. We already know August and Septembers releases, which really are September and Octobers releases when they actually come out.
A CB Fantasy game that was the spiritual successor to Confrontation with some sort of mash up ruleswise with INFINITY would certainly have me interested - especially with the quality of miniatures that would certainly go along with it!
I am a bit surprised there wasn't even a vague 'expect the next book sometime around (x)' though...
In the Q&A after the presentation Carlos said he wasn't allowed to talk about the next book. All he said was they haven't even started playtesting Aleph yet.
Of course Aleph could be the last faction they need to test but it could also be the first.
Damn you, CB my wallet wakes up screaming enough when you only made a damn fine scifi game. I am terrified to think of the woe it will endure once you produce a fantasy game as well!
Aren't the miniatures for Sword & Sorcery being sculpted by a bunch of Corvus Belli's sculptors? I'd imagine that if CB did indeed do a fantasy game, the figures would look a lot like those ones.
Agreed, not impressed with the new Djans. I kind of like the hacker but overall meh. Lots of other exciting things in the new reveals though so I suppose I'll make do.
I had not seen the large picture of the Djanzabans yet and this has shown me something I really wanted to see.
Namely that the left shoulder pad had the Djan logo, and the right shoulder has the HAQ LOGO not the QK.
There is a legit possibility that they might be coming to the Task Force after all. If there was the QK flower like the Azra'ils I would have buried this hope. But now it blooms once again!
I liked the kneeling sniper pose but disliked the the rest of them due to their looks. These I can definitely live with, as the only think I don't like is the exposed muscle arm on the HMG.
Would like a similarly padded out female hacker, though EDIT: Scratch that, the hacker is right there looking at me.
Quick question. Where did the doctor get that pistol from?
His pistol is still in the holster?
That is odd. He is holding his medical bag in with his other hand. One would think that he would have his medi-pistol out. Unless he's a former trauma doc and can't tell the difference...
One of my Age of Sigmar group was going to GenCon as a vendor for a local game(dunno details so don't ask!), he nabbed me the Terminator Captain from FW and Unknown Ranger. So that works out great for me.
Just a shame that there's no Marauders this month so I can finally get to playing regularly; I'm not interested in running a ton of Grunts with no Marauders damnnabbit.
Red Harvest wrote: That is odd. He is holding his medical bag in with his other hand. One would think that he would have his medi-pistol out. Unless he's a former trauma doc and can't tell the difference...
You're recklessly assuming it's a medical bag.
It's actually a bag of pistols and mediikits. Which will he pull out? Inshallah.
Anyone else notice that the Doc isn't wearing a mask like the others? He's just wearing sunglasses. I'm kind of wishing they looked a bit more like the dossier art with the lower collar bit. As it is, they'll be too easily confused for Naffatun on the table, I think.
I don't think a lack of dossiers has any bearing on release timeframe though seeing as we have the models. And actually, we got the dossiers back when they did the USAriadna BoW week.

With a little bit of conversion work on the helmetless female naffatun I'm hoping for that very effect lol. 5th team member (secretly hafza) here I come.
Also the Djans give off a Ba'athist or Iraqi vibe to them that I like, though am not sure why they do.
ImAGeek wrote: I don't think a lack of dossiers has any bearing on release timeframe though seeing as we have the models. And actually, we got the dossiers back when they did the USAriadna BoW week.
Spoiler:
We got the male dossiers, yes.
When we get the male and female dossiers both, it usually is a sign of the unit box being on the way.
You're right that to an extent, public release of dossiers doesn't have a real bearing on a release timeframe.
However if they have not done the dossier, which is where the Blackjack still is at(STILL!)? It's very unlikely we will see anything anytime soon.
Or we could see a lot of goodies at the Interplanetario which is at the end of this month (26-28 August). Cb must have held some stuff back at GenCon.
I read that Bostria will be at the NOVA Open tournaments over the Labor Day holiday (1-4 September), and will have surprises relating to the ITS2017.
That'll be 2 more presentations within the next 4 weeks. I doubt that we will see anything about October releases, but I suspect that we will see more renders.

That's also the scuttle on the Infinity forums.
Aleph/A.I. Toni but we probably won't know until Interplanitario when they will most likely reveal the 3 silhouetted minis also.
One of which looks like Joe Turner for the 2017 ITS mini.
Barzam wrote: People on Facebook seem to think it's a resurrected Toni for some reason. I don't know why they think that. It could just as easily be a recaptured and newly human Ko Dali for all we know.
Partly because the blue and green of the original picture matches the colours of Aconticimento that Toni was from.
Monkeysloth wrote: I can see how people are linking this to being someone who's died in the fluff as "alive" would kind of imply that.
Except it would go against everything relating to Toni's death. She suffered a "true death"; an Umbra Samaritan spiked her brain and cube via her TAG Eduardo.
They even stated in a FAQ for Human Sphere N3 that "Yes, Toni is dead dead!".
Could just be something for a new Aleph model though and have nothing to do with the existing fluff.
It also could be dealing with the forthcoming Infinity comics.
So, a couple of pages back there was a lot of talk about the Gecon reveals and the mention of a fantasy game as well as an Infinity dungeon crawler.
I've just watched the backstage weekend show from BoW (the paid for stuff so I can't link it), and Warren gave a little information, he does know the guys at Corvus Belli pretty well so its likely reliable.
They have been working on the fantasy game for over 2 years already, but have scrapped the rules several times and started again from scratch as they did not think it was good enough.
The dungeon crawler he was less sure about, but said it may not necessarily be 'Infinity' as such, it could be a different scale or separated from the existing game (and the RPG) in some other way.
I think he probably knows more than this but keeps it vague for CBs benefit. He seemed fairly confident that both games would be released eventually, its not an either/or situation.
I don't see them doing anything in a different scale. One of the issues with coming out with a new but related games would be producing models for it with an already overtaxed production team. Changing the scale would double the workload.
SlaveToDorkness wrote: I don't see them doing anything in a different scale. One of the issues with coming out with a new but related games would be producing models for it with an already overtaxed production team. Changing the scale would double the workload.
One of the points of coming out with other games is less Infinity model each month as other line are released in their place, allowing CB to remain a player in the miniature market for a long time to come. Instead of slowly fading away or growing Infinity in to miss mashed crap of bloat.
theyd have much more flexibility in another genre/scale without having to match everything to existing lore, sculpts. look, theme etc
They refused to grow their company in the past because of Spanish tax codes and other business related stuff despite it being a sensible thing to do to pick up the tempo of Infinity releases; what makes you think that they would do that for a fantasy game?
SlaveToDorkness wrote: Why do that when they struggle to release models for their existing game though?
Because they understand what is needed for the long term health of their company, instead of dying. Infinity can only go so far, they need to lessen the infinity output especially the amout of models each month. Sure some will whine "I want my models" but most will understand the need to expand their protfolio so CB doesn't go the way of the Dodo, like many other companiea and Infinity remains a supported game. I mean it not like unsupported games lose player and have a had time getting new player, right.
And they do not struggle to release models, it is a choose to only produce at the rate they do.

What does "the long term health of their company" have to do with the fact that they cannot keep up a steady release pace?
And they do not struggle to release models, it is a choose to only produce at the rate they do.
Actually, they do struggle to release models. July's releases were 3 items, two event exclusives and the Red Veil preorders.
What normally is a 5 to 6 item release was a 3 item release; with 2 of those items being convention exclusives(Unknown Ranger and Musashi) and preorders for items that won't even be out until September(Red Veil).

Gosh the minis are great!
There are already rules for this online. Beasts of War made some for a tag arena that then Customeeple expanded upon for regular units. You can still find the rules for the TAG arena on BoW site. CustoMeeple even sold sets with tokens and spawn points for about 2 weeks before they disappeared off their site (I assume CB told them to pull it so they could make a commercial version) I've got it and it's a very good multiplayer unreal tourney type of game on an infinity board.
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah we get it Kan. CB have not released the models you want, the must be struggling. They focus on producing models so the don't have a f'up like last time they must be struggling. They change scale it just targeted at you because it a faction you play. Just make a "Whining about CB" thread in the subforum. That way you can focus on the one thing your good for here, mining the internet for pretty pic for us. They do what it best for the long term health of their company, not really surprised you don't get this as you only seem to see CB in the light of "I want now".
I would call Red Veil at least 2 items, since it does contain 2 starter boxes. Heck, with the LE mini and 2 box only minis, I'd consider it 3 items. July releases total 18 minis. Not bad at all.
Eventually, CB will fill out all the Infinity profiles with minis. CB will also finish the game, when it releases the next book. (The remaining sectorials, the spec op and campaign rules and what else?) Then what? Re-sculpt everything again?
Relying on one game, as CB is currently doing, is dangerous. Sales will level off. They can go the splat book route (please no) or develop other games.

Red Veil is one item. The starter boxes will not be sold individually until probably December/January.
Sure, you can make the argument that it's multiple items but it is one SKU not individual bundles.

You do know that the next book was intended to be the end of a "trilogy", yeah? It was not going to be "finish the game" but the end of a trilogy, which Human Sphere started and Acheron Falls was to bookend.

Or they can do what they've talked about, which is to visit "historical" things like the Commercial Conflicts on Ariadna or the Neo-Colonial wars, etc.
There's plenty of events that can be fleshed out without them needing to go too crazy.

...ok, this I don't understand. What do you mean by "they cannot keep up a steady release pace"? Which other miniatures company not named GW (which is, like, two orders of magnitude bigger as a company) releases so many new SKUs every month?
And what would you think about X-Wing's or SW:Armada's release pace, then? I'm seriously surprised to hear that, because what I usually hear from people is exactly the opposite: that they cannot keep up with the Infinity releases.

I think the difference between X-wing and Infinity is that people know in advance what "should" be released. You know there is X Ghulam profiles and Y Bolt Profiles and some people are unhappy when their favourite profile isn't released or hasn't been released for a long time.
with X-wing it is a 6 month period of guessing what will be released followed by a 4 week period of going ape-poop over the announced ships and their interactions with the meta.
That said, Infinity churns out a whole bunch more miniature than I would expect in a year, and their release schedule is pretty stready, they have a their regular 5(?) releases as month with usually 1 or 2 as boxes, as well as a couple of big ticket items like TAGs, bikes (yes Kan, we know you don't like bikes, not everything is about your likes) and army packs every now and then.

With luck!
The Pilots are meant to be a changed up item so seeing the JSA tag pilot as the first we might see releases for the others.
Assuming it is correct that the ITS exclusive is Joe Scarface I would expect to see a general release of him as well as some of the others.
The Lizard and Maggie pilots are small enough to probably pass as they are, though I wouldn't be surprised to see less cheese-cakey resculpts.
The tech-bee is unlikely, unless they get a proper unit profile.
My hardest choice is to decide if I go for the ITS exclusive, the general release or just stuck with my converted Joe that I pried out of the bootleg with a far amount of cutting and grinding.

If we had profiles for Bolts before their release ("will be better in N3") the majority wouldn't mind seeing them pushed back, indefinitely.

I'd love to see variants of both the Lizard and Maghariba pilots, but you're right, they're small blister items. I have both Bootlegs in my own army as tank commanders (Heresy, I know) and the cheesecake of the Lizard pilot is easily fixed with some creative painting, turning all that bare skin into a form-fitting environment suit of sorts. I plan on doing the same with the upcoming JSA pilot.
Not heresy at all. Bootlegs were intended to appeal to a wider audience. ( painters/collectors mostly)
More likely the O-Yoroi pilot will be a bootleg release. However, CB did release the civilian minis (variants from the RPG minis) as regular releases. I doubt that they will re-classify the bootlegs. We'll see soon enough. The rumor is that all the renders shown at GenCon will be released this year.
The July releases totalled 18 miniatures. Does it matter if they were bundled as 3 releases? It is a large number of minis. They usually release 5-10 in a month. I'm surprised that they have five releases (total of 9 minis) for August. I was expecting a reducd amount because of all the other things going on-- Red Veil, GenCon, and Interplanetario .

If they release anything less than the average, Crovus Belli risks the Wrath of Kan.

They said in the video that TAG pilots will have a bigger role in future, so I think the O-Yoroi pilot will be a proper release for the game, not a bootleg release.
I'd be very surprised if CV went 15mm for fantasy. They know there's a lot of ex-Confrontation players who would love an alternative, and the quality of their recent minis is exceptional; they appeal to painters and collectors, not just gamers. 15mm doesn't hold the same appeal because they don't work as showcase minis, so sales will be reduced considerably.

Don't stress BrotherGecko, I was using Bolts as an example, saying that people know there are a certain amount Bolt Profiles but the miniatures only represent a lesser amount and we don't know when they will be released.
I am not a Pan-O player so I will fall back to my Ghulams as the example.
"There has been a Ghulam Profile with a Light Grenade Launcher for years, where is that model? I want to use it! Gimme gimme gimme! Stop making models that I don't use until you have filled out the holes in my army!"
Compared to the forum talk of X-Wing which is more like "You know, there is that one scene where Scruffy Starmuncher gets captured and has to escape in a Phi class dock-shuttle. Maybe we will get a Phi class in the next release?" Since every model comes out with it's own rules there isn't the complaint that we know something exists but cannot access the official sculpt of it.

Just to screw PanO over, they'll probably give all TAG pilots specialist operative (but only so long as they're outside of the TAG).
Yeah, starter box only. But a spitfire Montesa? Interesting, and, do want. I'm liking that Acontecimento Starter. Yet, 2 spitfires in the box? That Bashi looks much better posed than Step Aerobics Bashi. Ayyar concept is nice. Govad HMG too. The rest look pretty cool too. An excellent set of reveals.
TAG pilots are definitely a new thing. Somehow useful in ITS2017? Or CB needs more Cheesecake to drum up sales?

This is something I brought up on the official forums. The contents of the ASA box, unless things change, are just like the Shasvastii box was: too high on Special Weapons Cost and too low on points.
Little disappointed with the Wu Ming, the HRL is floating above her shoulder. I would like the pose if it was a lighter weapon, like a chain rifle. This looks a bit odd.

Yeah idk what's going on there. I got excited cuz I thought it was a Hac Tao at first glance.
Wu Ming aren't supposed to be doing flashy things. They're supposed to be sad political prisoners.
Hac Tao should be sliding into home, totally invisible, totally invincible, blasting rockets up your bum
I watched it at work and their shameless marketing research had several different items from the gencon one:
1) 15mm infinity wars game
2) Archeon Blockade space game
3) combining the base game and the above 2 to make a super campaign system that has multiple scales.
4) Card game
Things that were the same:
1) fantasy game
2) dog bowl
3) dungeon crawl
4) red veil expansion box
5) 0-12 box
6) Remote racing
7) Astria (SP?)
8) Operation something something
9) Acheron Falls Book
Also watched the Angel Giraldez conference and the book is soly going to be about painting infinity factions. The book is about twice the size due to him including more pictures and going over concepts of shading\highlighting 3d objects. It's also including various training exercises for improving airbrush skills.
I'd love a 15mm large scale game in the Infinity universe. Would be nice for when the conflict ramps up around Acheron Falls, when the CA launches it's huge attack.

You're thinking of Kuang Shi, there. Kuang Shi are the brainwashed political prisoners.
Wu Ming on the other hand are the psycho assault troop criminals.

If you look at it more closely you will notice that the HRL is actually resting on top of the armor above the shoulder.

They're wearing powered armour. If it can't help them lift a heavy gun one handed, it's not very good.
Even if it was done (they're basically throwing a lot of ideas out to see what people like) they'd very lilkely stick to metal. They've said in the past they've got no interest in using plastic.
It's more the cost of plastic then anything from the Carlos quote I remember, it's too expensive to even experiment with--but that was 2 years ago. Also in one of the BoW videos Warren was talking about the infinity dungeon crawler being plastic figures *if* it was something that CB has been working on and would be released.
If it ever happens it may not be plastic but it's clear from that comment that they've looked at it.

Any indication whether these were infinity mechanics or a set of alternate mechanics to, say for example, allow larger battles than skirmish?
I am struggling with why they want to release 2 scales for same system/mechanics...
At 15mm there's a lot more 'forgiveness' room, plus there are a number of companies that can now produce plastic or resin figures as a service. If they produce plastic minis the quality of CMON but at 15mm scale I don't you'd get many people arguing, especially since the TAGs, tanks and aircraft could all be produced easily in metal.
I, and others, haven't touched a CMON kickstarter since the Sedition Wars abortion years ago. I have a hard time taking you seriously right now suggesting that.
CB using CMON for their plastic production would be like Studio McVey doing the same. It's a death sentence for the game and for the reputation of the company.

Suggesting what? I pointed out that there are several companies that can produce plastic and resin models on-demand, I didn't name any. I only used CMON as an example of the quality achievable in cheap-plastic models nowadays. Did you actually read what I wrote, or did you just see "CMON" and decided to rage?

I understand that's the logic behind the pose, but it breaks the suspension of disbelief.
It's like bad CGI. Did you ever see Lord of the Rings? They had Legolas surf smoothly down a hefalump's gnarly snoot, surf down stairs on a sheild while scoring perfect bullseyes between the eyes of running orcs, or doing impossible one-armed acrobatics to get from in front of a charging horse to its back. All of it was handwaved away as "...elves are super-light, super-agile, and super-strong". But the explanation doesn't change what our minds subconsciously understand about physics. It's not possible, no matter how perfect elves are meant to be.
I might find the power armour strength more believable if it was a massive male figure... but since CB likes to give females skin-tight power armour that leaves them at a quarter of the mass of a male figure, it fails the suspension of disbelief test for me.
I'm currently painting the Wu Ming boxed set, and their lack of dynamic poses is actually a selling point for me. They have incredible armour (4), even higher than a terracotta warrior's. I liked the somewhat stiff poses that emphasizes a bulky, massive power suit that was built for stopping tank rounds. She'll be half their size, leaping around like a hamster on speed, scoring perfect bullseyes with a heavy rocket launcher, one handed, without even needing to stabalise with the shoulder rest. She just needs to be surfing down a oliphant trunk to complete the picture.
None of this is deal-breaker for me; I'll still pick it up. It's just an odd mis-step for CV.

Hard to tell without a comparison shot, but it does look much more lithe than the males. I'm also basing my opinion on the differences between their other HI.
I can see now that the ammo box is resting on the shoulder, which I thought was the head. That still metal-on-metal still doesn't convince me that it's a stable firing platform.

Maybe the Wu Ming is in the act of bringing the weapon on target? It is an unusual pose. I'll say the new Yu Jing minis are turning out pretty well over-all.

Well, Yu Jing Heavy Rocket Launchers don't seem particularly heavy. Raider have no issues swinging them around single handed.Given that, I don't see why a power armoured troop couldn't do the same.
A 15mm game set in the Infinity universe is a highly intriguing prospect as I adore Plastic Soldier Company and Battlefront models so TAG's or just Infiniti's aesthetic in general done well in 15mm sound really fun!
As for these latest round of releases, they all look great! what's to criticize really?
My longstanding complaint with Corvus Belli is that their beautiful aesthetic and gorgeous sculpts are hamstrung with complete spank poses but these days they've even sorted that aspect out... or I've just become desensitized to it!
The over use of 'high heeled' shoes on just about EVERY female figure has worn pretty thin but I suppose I'd be nitpicking!
Scrub wrote: The over use of 'high heeled' shoes on just about EVERY female figure has worn pretty thin but I suppose I'd be nitpicking!
What's wrong with high heeled shoes on female figures? At least they have heels to stand on. Unidron Batroids, Shasvatii, and the Iguana squadron stand on their tippy toes. And I'm not even sure the Avatar has feet...
When you're attempting to depict your female figure wielding a weapon and in the midst of a gun battle the high heels... tend to look a bit odd!
edit: But like I say, it's just about all I grumble about with CB's figures these days, they've come an awful long way and are for the most part pretty great all round.

in real life, i would agree, Al...
in a make believe world, i like the look of Combat Heels the original female ORC Trooper is still one of my favorite Infinity sculpts...
i am glad CB sticks to their personal aesthetic preferences, because if they listened to the nay-sayers, the minis would quickly become boring and generic...
as they are, nobody else does anime influenced sci-fi that looks as cool as Infinity...
it looks like the next few months of new releases are going to be amazing!!!
On that we agree Jah - love them anime combat heels!
But now that I think of it, as it is tried, true and most likely going nowhere for CB/Infinity, can everyone please take the combat heels 'debate' over to its own thread in the INFINITY sub-forum?
And here come the suryat finally ready to raid my wallet...
If they release in the same month as the overdron i might have to see if i can nab any spare organs.
So the next ITS winner's figure is a new Scarface. The picture on the forums is really, really poor so I'm not going to bother posting it as I'm sure something better will pop up soon.
Glad I found a place to order ITS packs for less the $50 USD as there's $80+ from CB directly (due to shipping) and my local game stores insist that they cost $120 per pack.

How about a thread title update? "now with GenCon and Interplanetario news"

No word about the October releases? Or that ALIVE promo?
A large amount of outstanding miniatures coming along. It looks like every faction but ALEPH is getting some very nice shinies.
Carlos said the Caledonians were getting a load of resculpts. I'm wondering what's incoming.
The Highlanders are new. The Scots Guard are new, but the size creep has really made then tiny.
I'm guessing the SAS, vols, Greys and Mormears will be making an appearance. We need more Greys, the Mormears are pretty old, and the SAS models are TINY. I have the two available models and a newer Spetznaz as a stand in and it looks like Aragorn guiding Sam and Frodo through a battlefield.

If they release in the same month as the overdron i might have to see if i can nab any spare organs.
They won't be, the Overdron is a September release that we know all of, and it's very very rare for a faction to get more than one release.

Glad I found a place to order ITS packs for less the $50 USD as there's $80+ from CB directly (due to shipping) and my local game stores insist that they cost $120 per pack.
Where can I get ITS packs that cheap ?
I'd like to see the new scarface...
From what I can see it just looks like the Bootleg miniature design doing a bad ass walk with an decapitated enemy's head in hand. (and I have been assured it is an Overdron and not a Tohaa head)
..which makes me think that the general release will have him holding his shotgun while striding forward.

Garuda and new Posthumans looked nice.
I don't feel anything for the new Acontecimento (yikes at the useless SWC bloat), just need plain Regulars to get my force in line of new aesthetics and scale.

They're based out of Australia but the week AUD pretty much negates the shipping cost. You need to get one early in the season though as they sell out of the cheaper tournament packs quicker.
Unfortunately missed the pre-order window for Red Veil, but hoping there will still be some Ltd edition miniature sets kicking around in stores (as there was with Human Sphere)

I would be exceedingly surprised if there were not, as Corvus Belli considers the "preorder window" to also apply to retailers just ordering their stock as well.
I had the impression that he was bringing a surprise related to ITS2017. Other than that he'll probably give a re-cap of the Interplanetario presentations.
It appears both the new Bakunin starter and the new Aconticimento starter will have only 2 rifle LI. I wonder if this is a new design trend and the Red Veil starters will be the last with 3 rifle LI? I regularly field 3 basic rifle LI, so this change is a bit surprising.

I don't think so. He mentioned in the GenCon seminar that both the Bakunin and SAA starters were 'unusual' in their composition, implying that 3 rifle LI is still the 'usual' composition for starters.
I'd like to hear why they decided to pack it like this. Regulars are simply the workhorse of Acontecimento, but more often than not you don't want them as your heavy weapon investment. Sniper could have easily been another LI model. It would be awesome, if Regulars would be repacked in blisters.
Vain wrote: Maybe that is the intent, get the 2 SWCs in the Starter box, then buy 1 Box of Non-SWC Regulars and a Blister for the final SWC option?
I expect to see a hacker version as she comes with pandas. Otherwise I think it's unlikely to see Regulars in blisters or a box. Unless they do specific minelayer figures, it would make me very happy but find it unlikely.
I'll never understand the decision to stop selling the cannon fodder grunts in blisters. Do people not field more than basic grunts? What if I want ro field five?

Because reasons.
Honestly, I'm right there with you. I wanted to go Bolt heavy for NCA but it just wasn't feasible once the 3 model blisters sold out.
I know it's not an ideal answer (and really CB should be selling them separately) but a good option is Shae-konnits split box miniatures, which are very reasonably priced. Especially the grunts, as people tend to want the more exotic individual pieces from those sets.
He has a thread down in the Infinity section of the board for anyone not aware.

The old Imperial Service starter box only came with two Celestial Guard with combi-rifles (and another one with a boarding shotgun).
So, as a heads up it looks like the "ALIVE!" campaign has been more or less figured out now based on a specific WarCor getting all defensive when someone criticized the concept of it being another interactive Flamestrike styled thing tied to Beasts of War.
FatherKnowsBest posted "Killian was quick to defend that approach when I commented that I hoped it had nothing to do with anymore beasts of war. So maybe that was a give away. "
...So someone was defending something they are involved in (Beasts of War / Flamia)

"Karma/like" based systems are horrible, it deprives an individual evaluation of an argument. More often you're going to find promoting group (circle jerk) propaganda than anything useful.

Yeah...Killian isn't someone given to "upvote" things that are from people outside of the BoW fanbois.
Pride of Rodina isn't one of them, in my experience with his postings.

What a horrible expression, I wish people wouldn't use it. :(
