I cant see why. Dwarves tended not to have much in the way of wizards, being bannedfrom the clas until 3.0 in D&D and being known to be magically inept outside of artifice in most settings.
So really dwarves are restricted to fighters rogues and the odd priest. Dwarves are highly technically skilled by copariosn to most other races and rogue levels are a good way of representing this.
I think the rogue character class fits dwarves fine, just that we have way too few decent dwarf rogue sculpts. This one is most welcome.
The finalised version of the attack dice. They've gone for the same shape as the new movement dice, with the same number of hero shields, evil shields and wounds as the original game plus the additional HQ and ? sides (critical success and failure?).
Spoiler:
I have to say I really like the alter though

Former tavern bouncer, Swordmaster, Monster hunter, Teen Adventurers
Translations drawn from this list on a seperate page on site. They appear to be in order.
We finally get to see the selection. Nice characterful selection, yet without needing to do anything too wacky to get the strong character showing through. They are all generic adventurers rather than a freak show, even allowing for some of the charactr titles. Yet despite being very generic they all show strong personality. Allowing for the 'we redid the elf eight times to get him right' it looks like we are up for twenty five superlative RPG miniatures/Heroquest character pawns here. I for one am happy, are you?
My thoughts.
One change highlighted in red, female merc has had the op. must Gamezone now brace for transphobia comments. I think the male female ratio for heroes is fine at sixteen to nine. What is better is that skimpy clothing is kept to limited subselection. Only three of the female heroes are sexualised, including the obligatory almost naked barbarian, who could be discounted for that reason. She may look nice but her head is just on the fighting. The female elf looks playfully seductive, the renegade doesn't try to look overtly seductive, she is just dressed to kill. The bounty hunter is fully covered but has a strong feminine edge to her. Very nicely done, I am impressed frankly.
The blokes are also characterful, a mix of worn in warriors, handsome playful swashbucklers, old young weak and strong and you can see their personalities on their faces and in their stance. I am wondering if I can paint well enough to do them justice.
The plucky kids look innocent, and way out of their depth. Girl with a borrowed enchanted staff, boy who is a sureye shot, both turning up to vanquish evil, and likely getting in heaps of trouble. They are walking scenarios by and of themselves. Now I see them it was a envisioned call to include them in the game I am happy I bought them, and I think those who did not, or didn't get them for free as an early bird offer, might want to spend part of their voucher to buy the pair.
it looks like we get four elves and five dwarves. Renegade is an elf? Tracker is a dwarf?
Note that two characters don't even have colour images, I doubt they currently have sculpts either then.
Really warmed up for my set now, whether or not the actual game is worth playing.
With stuff this good I am really rooting for the chaos warriors to be something impressive. The bar is now set very high, and the alpha monsters need to have an even higher presence on the tabletop.
Im really impressed, originally I thought they'd struggle to make so many distinctive heroes but there isn't a single one here that I dislike.
My personal favourites are the insane mage, the female paladin and the archer raider.
Heres a google translation of the post:
Hello again adventurous! How about that vacation? We almost did not remember what I was seeing sunlight and certainly needed a break. After so long working with a really high intensity level continuously we decided to close the shop during Holy Week for the whole team could recuperate. It worked, and although this morning we needed coffee rivers to undo a powerful spell of sleep, we're all back on track.
Point two of the agenda: a couple of typos in the last update. That is, on the one hand will have a marker on the other door open and one closed. When a hero is in front of a closed door and opens it, one element for another and ready replaced. Faster, durable and with less hassle for those who go there to paint. Thus, the game now contains 18 open and 4 closed doors. If you need more, soon you shall count with packs of 5 doors of one kind or another.

We will tell you more as soon as we prototypes Blank's check printing and how about all fits together.
And after the mea culpa, what if we stop stories and started to teach how it is becoming the game? For starters, serve this small sample of the 25 heroes that will be available initially: 8 Core Set, 15 pack of 2 young adventurers and intrepid ...

I concur qwith that, though with a caveat, we haven't seen all the sculpts and while each hero is well conceptualized I have some misgivings. Two so far.
The Wizard holding his staff horizontally looks good, but might cause practicality issues in game, I will convert so he holds his staff upwards and forwards at an angle. I suspect that the right hand and staff are a separate piece so its isn't really a conversion, the elbow will be slightly out, but probably not noticable under the sleeves.
I never liked the Cazadora's fighting blades, especially the dagger point on the inside of a sickle. I will likely replace them or trim them down.
My personal favourites are the insane mage, the female paladin and the archer raider.
Love the serene pose on the paladin and the cocksure swashbuckling raider. He will charm away your woman and steal your purse, but apparently only if you deserve it. Not yet sure on the last part.

Not too happy about this, archways are good, closed doors are good, but opened doors should have a door insert included, to be posed open.
If they mean separate frame and door and separate one piece with door then I will be happier. But it appears the open doors have been added to the original total, which are in fact just open archways.

19 x 26 squares, plus a tiny bit for the border perhaps.
3cm squares, thats significantly chunkier than most games of this ink provide. Thumbs up.
This is noticably bigger than initially described during the kickstart.

Hard to translate but the message is loud and clear. The late May delivery schedule is optimistic, I expected as much.
That google translate is not that bad, but if you need help understanding any specific part of the text let me know.
About the doors.
In the beginning they said that there would be archways and doors that you could clip-on/clip-off but that idea had to be dropped.
From what I can read there will be two different elements: "opened doors" and "closed doors".
When they say "opened doors" I think they are only referring to an archway or frame without an actual door in it.
The "closed doors" should be the archway with the door.
About the last part where they talk of the delay, there is nothing new there.
They only thank the support they are receiving via email and promise that they are back to work at full steam after last week's short vacations.
(I think I read somewhere that they had previously skipped the 2014 summer and christmas vacations)
I'm betting on a summer delivery.
There seems to be some work left to finish and with that there is also the possibly for some more delays .
I like the art and the ideas behind all these heroes, but I would have preferred some more info on what rules or mechanics set them apart from each other.
Let's hope they start making more regular updates this time.
Which I could broadly work out even in the Spanish.
So it looks like a 9 minute video of the same models saying no mold lines,
Thats good but again isn't news, we have seen the models all before including the lack of mold lines.
There is too much filler and not enough news. We see the same items over and over, it's getting suspicious actually and even a little grating. No news I can take fake news builds anxiety not expectation, and comes up to one conclusion: delayed release.
gpires, any chance you could give us a rough idea what is being discussed?
Sure.
There was some talk on the spanish forums that the HQ25 minis came with very noticeble mold lines, and lots of extra bits of resin that would be very dificult to clean and assemble for people expecting a "boardgame" (as oposed to a "miniatures game").
In this video Forja y Desvan show several HQ25 minis and compare to other minis from diferent companies.
They claim that the HQ25 minis have almost no mold lines and that they think it will be easy to clean and assemble for everyone.
In the end they also say that they are expecting some new minis from Gamezone and that new videos with new content should be expected by monday or tuesday.
Keep in mind that ForjaYDesvan are not an official news channel for Gamezone, they only show what little they can wrestle out of Gamezone who are notorious for not wanting to show anything before the final delivery.
Now if Gamezone is really just being paranoid and holding back or if they use this excuse because they really don't have anything else to show is something that I don't have an answer to.
Still no real news yet but some HQ25 artwork just surfaced on a a website that, I presume, is the illustration studio that was hired by Gamezone to take care of the visuals.
Whilst they aren't brand new, its nice to see the finalised versions. Some of the modular tiles look ace, glad I pledged for them as well!
Automatically Appended Next Post: I thought something looked different! It looks like they've given up on making the board compatible with the original game. Only the top right corner of the new board even vaguely resembles the original now.
I'm really hoping that the '100' quests that we're supposed to be getting are well thought out. Although the original only came with a dozen or so in the basic box, having half a dozen expansions and 25 years worth of fan made quests online meant you never struggled to find something that felt new and fresh.
With a completely incompatible board, If the official questbook (or 2 books if you pledged for level 3) aren't good, we'll effectively be losing the option to go back through decades of tried and tested missions.
I agree, I hope there are some decent big room tiles in the modular set. From my experience with the original, having small rooms does make it feel like there's more to explore, but there has to be a balance between having lots of rooms and having enough space to fight in those rooms.
When you consider that, a lot of the time, 4 squares are going to be occupied by the heroes, as soon as you put something like a table down in 75% of these rooms there will be seriously limited movement options. It will be hard for more than 1 or 2 monsters to be able to attack in a single turn, which I find is the only way for a GM to have a decent chance of winning.
I can't see why you would ever use 4 2x3 rooms in a single mission.
Automatically Appended Next Post: All that aside....NEW MODEL!
There was mention of the tiles being double sided though wasn't there? If that's the case you could probably just put two side by side on top of the board to make a larger room, assuming that there are at least two tiles with similar/the same colours.
Automatically Appended Next Post: The paladin....
Spoiler:
She looks identical to the artwork we saw. I'm a bit confused about what seems to be a metal shield though.
Metal bits, no problems, so long as they glue to resin ok. If not then problems.
I like the artwork, less pumped about the miniature, to make this work the serene expression on the face needs to be painted just right, or she will look boring.
As for the board pieces, as they are modular double siding only effects flooring, the pieces have a wall rim and placing two side by side will strongly imply separate rooms.
I spoke to one of Gamezones retailers yesterday at Salute.
i go to them most times I attend Salute , adn often top up my Bretonnians with Gamezone miniatures from there.
So i figured they would be good people to ask about Heroquest.
They wont pre-order it the reason not to pre-order is because Gamezone is best described as overly laid back.
Gamezone are honest to trade with (though I heard that already from other sources) but are exceptionally disorganised being artists more than businessmen. Catch them on a good day and the work gets done immediately, otherwise you might wait two months before they do anything. Siestas are involved somehow, or so it seems.
This is a very Spanish way of doing business and one I can well believe of a Spanish small business.
Gamezone will work hard to make a quality product, that they can be relied upon to do, their artistic talent is above question, and their ethos of itself is fair.
I was warned that Gamezone is not the best company to send a cheque to unless you see the products being shipped on the day, which doesn't reassure crowdfund backers, but any unreliability is due to their laid back nature rather than any intent to deceive.
Gamezone have frequently answered every question their business customers have set EXCEPT about Heroquest. Those questions just get blanked.
One anecdote given to me so we know what type of people we are dealing with.
Five years ago Gamezone themselves came to Salute, they were well received in the industry and made good business.
They Fed Ex'ed their stock for the day to Salute, it arrived in boxes from Spain and the Gamezone team just came by train. Simple. However they didnt tell anyone about this, so Warlord's (Salute show organisers) had to accept a delivery of several boxes out of the blue which they handled as a courtesy. After the show finished they packed up that stall, refilled the remaining boxes and left the building.
As final packing away just before 7 o clock Warlord's noticed the stack of boxes. As the company manager I spoke to was a trade partner of Gamezone they asked them about the boxes. The manager phoned Gamezone to find they were already on the train home halfway on the way to the channel tunnel. As far as Gamezone were concerned Fed Ex would collect the excess stock the following Monday, completely ignoring that the exhibition centre hiring terminates on the same day (Saturday), and nothing would be allowed to remain by the venue owners. The company manager, as a courtesy to Gamezone, took the boxes amongst the stock they had to take home, and allowed Gamezone to Fed Ex them from their company storeroom rather than Salute.
The impression was that Gamezone are far from a nightmare to deal with, in fact they are rather agreeable, just painfully naive. A bunch of head-in-the-clouds artistes who have no idea how to do business, and are rather innocent.
The trolls at boardgamegeek, which broadly includes the official sanctioned opinion, try to make out Gamezone are a bunch of conmen. I see nothing to support that, but it is clear they have bitten off more than they can chew with Heroquest, and I hope it doesn't hurt them, or us.
Orlanth wrote: A bunch of head-in-the-clouds artistes who have no idea how to do business, and are rather innocent.
You actually mean, this, don't you.
With crowdfunding, there's no difference between scamming and a incompetence. If someone mismanages a project because they're "innocent", your money is still gone.
There's a greater chance that GZ will fulfill than ADW, but it's still not 1.
As ced said, although its nice to know that their hearts might be in the right place,I don't see that this actually makes any difference. I've always felt sure that they would do everything in their power to complete, purely because they risk dragging the name of their perfectly successful miniatures company through the mud if they don't. If this project does fall through and everyone loses their money, I can't imagine anyone will every purchase a gamezone miniature again. I'm sure that is a big enough incentive for them.
Anyway, here is the Arnold Schwarzenegger of the Dwarf world....
With crowdfunding, there's no difference between scamming and a incompetence. If someone mismanages a project because they're "innocent", your money is still gone.
My money is not 'gone', I beleive will get my Heroquest games miniatures. Gamezone have completed half the projects and are working on the rest, full production mirrors design on an item by item basis.
They also took on extra staff and have done the translations already.
Gamezone have bitten off more than they can chew, but they can still swallow. Even now we are seeing quality products cycling forward in the project. They are probably making all the veteran barbarians and paladins right now and bagging them one each per backers pledge.
Another official update, translation courtesy of Google....
It has quite passed since the last time we show the board game HeroQuest 25th anniversary but we think the effort we've put into it has paid off . To recap a bit about this topic you will remember that we talk about a double-sided board with the classic dungeon on one side and some on the other ruins outside . In addition , as an optional add-on, we have a modular board, also double-sided , arising from cutting the classic dungeon and has a variant on the other side.
In many cases this second face of the modular board as an alternative illustration only reflects but others talk about completely different rooms with direct effects on the development of the game. For example , the central hall of the board becomes a dangerous pit with a border around it tight while some sections of the hall are flooded delaying the progress of our heroes.
For even more variety , eventually had three extra pieces for a total of six special rooms that you can use to modify the base or by the modular board to expand their boundaries so that you prefer to board. But that's not all , and here comes the surprise.
As we finished defining the boards we tested different types of division between rooms, from simple lines to a ridiculously large number of walls . Trying to find a style that in certain scenarios allow us to specify which sections of wall were demolished to unite stays each other, but finally found the solution in our specialty, miniatures.
Therefore we can establish you as the 25th Anniversary box HeroQuest no additional cost include a sufficient number of pieces of scenery crumbling corners ; sobrepasables markers pointing walls and partially obstruct the line of sight but not prevented. We hope you like the idea, as we do with end panels that you find to your liking ...
So this should address the problem about not having many big rooms Orlanth!
Here's an image showing both sides of every modular board tile.
Several other images were posted, but they're identical to those that were leaked last week.
I am chuffed that Gamezone are freely adding items that were not advertised or asked for in the crowdfund project.
I consider it a gift from Gamezone to backers to have the room corners. They will be nice for delimiting currently used rooms extra clearly. Unnecessary but welcome nontheless.
I wonder if GZ could be persuaded to have indents in them so cardstock joining pieces can be added by players to have full 3d dungeon walls. That would look fantastic and it would be worthwhile even if we made and sourced the walls ourselves.
I might file grooves in the corners and door frames myself if it is practical, with all the awesome furniture this project includes I beleive it deserves to be taken to the next level by fans.
However the best news about the corners is what it says about Gamezone.
- It says they want to provide us with an excellent product, and will go extra distance to do so.
- It says they are still thinking on the aesthetics.
- It says they want satisfied backers.
A full thank you from me to Gamezone over my room corners.
Nice to see another different concept. I hope the torch will have some in-game effect beyond just being a weapon, I'd love to see pitch black rooms that need to be lit up to explore properly. Gives me a cool idea for a quest with the spiders actually.
Nice and all as it is to get something extra the addition of the wall corners are not necessary and are only further delaying a product that is already 4 months late with no real definitive delivery date yet. They need to focus on the core product get it done and get it shipped rather than adding further work. True they have an artistic vision and want it to be the best they can but they need to learn how to manage a project properly (and that includes communications).
It will get here when it gets here I'm not overly bothered by that but it needs to be reined in now.
Alpharius wrote: Orlanth - are you friends with the Gamezone guys, or somehow involved with the company?
Why do you say this, because I am not being negative about them?
To answer you straight up: No I am not a shill, I dont speak Spanish for a start, never met them and while I have been a Gamezone customer in the past and been hapopy with what I bought I have spent a tiny fraction on them than I have with almost every other manufacturer I have purchased from.
I am happy with the project because I am enthusiastic about it. I wasn't this vocal in the past because the situation is changing.
- I have never seen a crowdfund project add more for free AFTERWARDS. A lot offer less.
- The miniatures are excellent, and those few things I didnt like I criticised, six legged spiders, bad pendulum model.
- We are now seeing more artwork, more miniatures and frankly more evidence that a backer will get a large number of 1st rate miniatures.
I am genuinely excited, like with most crowdfund games you take a risk, however this project is getting better and better, unlike so many.
I am not 100% fanboi though, I don't buy the late May delivery date for a second, I think Gamezone are naive when it comes to business practices, I still think the project has risks, especially for bakers outside the EU. I also wish that Gamezone had done their own game without any Heroquest baggage, and not least because I have never been a Heroquest fan.
However......
There is however an extra dynamic you probably haven't seen.
There is a LOT of hostility to this game elsewhere. Just turning up and being identified as a fan of this project will net you a crapton of verbal abuse on boardgamegeek.
Gamezone has accumulated a fair number of haterz because of this project, if someone doesnt like it, that is cool with me, and those who wish to dis this game here on Dakka will be listened to politely.
It is not like that elsewhere, I was shocked and very surprised at the level of blind hate I walked into for supporting this project. Here on Dakka we get fans and critics of games and it really is no skin off my nose if someone like a game I dislike or vice verse.
However elsewhere being a supporter of Gamezone makes you an accomplice of fraudsters, a moron, or a dupe, depending on who you speak to.
I signed up to boardgamegeek to do a deal with someone over Dungeon Saga, it was the only reason I had an account. But I decided to join the forum discussion and stand up and be counted on Heroquest while I was there.
Someone messaged me saying they hope Hasbro shut the game down and I lose my money. I am not a delicate type as you well know, but found that highly offensive, after all I have sunk 200 Euro in this. However decided I wasn't going to repond in kind, I was new there anyway. The pile on continued from various sources, and as I was brand new to the forums, all the attacks came from total stranger. This abuse went beyond the point where on any other forum I have visited the mods would have stepped in.
While I am no stranger to controversy, it normally takes a lot of button pushing to tip me over the edge, and I didn't go a fraction as far as I have done here, didnt bait anyone and the abuse was worse than I ever seen on Dakka, on any thread. Which is strange as I was brand new, and not identifiable as anyone from anywhere else (I didnt sign up as Orlanth or any of my usual monikers).
I was quite dumbfounded by what happened actually, and to a large extent was caught deer in headlights.
So I made a comment, I will quote it. "Please do not troll me".
For this I received an account ban, for accusing people of trolling.
I was incensed at that and doubly dumbfounded allowing for the quite impressive number and variety of open personal attacks I had received simply by being there.
There were a number of board members who warned openly me about the double standards at this time, but thought I would be safe being new.
Take this little gem, the last post I made:
<someone> wrote:
You guys need to remember that when a critic of Gamezone has their posts reported it is because they were insulting or offensive, but when a Gamezone backer has their post reported it is not because they were insulting, it is because we are trying to silence them.
Once you get past that, everything makes sense. I think. It is hard to keep track of all the shifting goalposts and double standards.
Except that there aren't double standards. I am being polite, as are most of those who are supporting Gamezone that I have so far encountered. There may well be others who are not, so I can't speak for everyone.
I am not in the least surprise that my posts are flagged and hidden, I support Gamezone, so because some hate that and don't like what I write they will assume subconsciously the post is some way hostile. Yet there is a frenzy of posts against us which cross the line. Many one liners posted for the sole reason of making insulting or offensive remarks. Which though clearly infringing get green thumbs up rather than warning reports. Again people wont think that through, but are riding a wave of a reaction to an opinion they don't like.
It is also part of human nature, herd mentality, to join in a pile on, and when in a herd people don't act as they normally would. So I try to understand those who succumb to this. I don't flag warning reports myself, it's not my way to call for censorship, only to ask to be replied to politely.
If roles were reversed and you fond yourself on the minority opinion then right or wrong you might experience this also. Its part of the ugly side to human nature.
From what I am learning about BGG it isn't a troll forum, we just get some heated topics, and as people are passionately divided on the topics concerned once a numerical concensus emerges this sort of behaviour is what happens. If I was on th majority opinion side I might not notice too much, and might find the one liner personal attacks funny due to shadenfreude.
I kid you not I got anotheraccount ban for the above post. For calling forum members a 'herd', taken from the above comment.
That was in fact the third ban I had accumulated, the first were for one and three days, so I was still about. All for very similar half wording, ban on technicality, while on the receiving a large number of open insults, threats and accusations, from people who during this process were consistently posting, and thus were not receiving any sanction.
I posted 37 posts and got three bans, and funnily enough had not once been impolite to anyone.
After that I had had formally had enough of boardgamegeek.
Though I had decided one ban earlier it was not for me.
This isn't the answer you are looking for Alpharius, and you probably wont want to make reply comment, but I am happy with Gamezones work, I am also happy with Dakka Dakka. Furthermore we are free to make comments as such, we have board members here who dont like the project, or were happy they didn't back it, or think it dodgy and I don't have a problem with any of them, neither has anyone else, this whole thread has gone through all the issues boardgamegeek has over this issue, just without the pile on.. As I explained to their head mod while leaving:
I have never in nearly twenty years on forums ever been close to being banned elsewhere, and we discuss politics and religion there, and it can get heated. It was a bit embarrassing at first to be honest, but I will lose no rest over it, as these judgements are now so ridiculous I can write the off as inconsequential.
Thank you for my time here. I have grown a new fondness for the decent and fair moderation on Dakka Dakka, and other places. Moderating I now see is a skill, I thought it would be easy to get right, just turn up and be fair. Maybe they just made it look easy. The total failure which was the moderation on this forum places all that in new perspective.
I am thoroughly unimpressed with how this was handled. I could try and complain higher up the chain of command, but why bother, I doubt anyone would learn from this. Better instead to just walk away.
On Dakka there is a large discussion on new Heroquest, some there have a low opinion of Gamezone. We acknowledged each others opinions and moved on. It could have been that easy.
Between your comments here and with G&G, you seem unusually positive and forgiving - and that's OK!
I must confess to knowing one G&G staff, and know of one more, but my 'positivity' there is for completely different reasons.
Namely in principle: kickstarter a chinese outsourced project = random delays >> more patience is required.
I would only back a chinese outsourced kicksrtarter if the amount of toys I get is very good for the price.
Heroquesters will like the added dimension of basic mooks with ranged attacks, so the softer characters can be targeted by a portion of the opponents.
I hope there are at least two ranged orcs, as this is orc with crossbow 01, I can expect orc with crossbow 02 to be out there. Though I have an orc army I love the sculpts and really would like to use these ones for rpg games.
Besides its difficult to get GW orcs with crossbows and I have a large unit of arrer boys which stand in for ranged mooks in D&D.
Ashitaka, your are probably far wiser than I for not stumbling into range of the abuse.
Really liking the Orc. Monsters with ranged weapons were one of the things that the original Heroquest lacked, so I'm glad that Gamezone are fixing that.
There should be 8 orc models, so I wouldn't be surprised for at least 2 of them to have bows. iirc, out of the 6 goblins, 2 are modelled with ranged weapons.
I didnt notice (or just as likely not remember) any ranged goblins. The gobbos were previewed early.
If two of six goblins have ranged weapons, perhaps three out of eight orcs. In would like that very much.
For level 3 backers there are two extra melee armed goblins, the sleepy guards, and for everyone there is a ninth orc, the orc boss who from the digital sculpts wields a great axe.
They both had regular bows, one had a Robin Hood style hat and one of them was sticking its finger in the air like it was trying to gauge the wind. I really like all of the gobbo sculpts.
I don't remember anything about additional melee goblins, have we seen any models for them? I'm really looking forward to the sleeping guards though, they can open up a lot of other gameplay possibilities.

Looked back along the thread and I remember them now. Four spear goblins and two box goblins. The two sleey guards we have only seen artwork of, one was asleep using his axe as a pillow/leaning post. Agile sleepers those goblins.
There is also a goblin leader figure in the level 3 I had overlooked, whether its a fat gobbo on the throne or a miniature that can waddle about and do things remains to be seen.
All in all a nice selection of mooks for adventurers to wet their blades with
Nice sculpt, but I wish the painting was not also a bas relief. It would be simpler and better to glue in a printout art than paint the head. Either a flat painting or a bas relief, or both in seperation.
You showed a lot of character there Orlanth replying like that. My email would have been a lot less conscientious
I don't understand why people are so antagonistic towards what Gamezone are doing? Is it because of the legal implications? As far as I'm concerned, the guy who designed the original game (as well as Space Crusade - I forget his name) is the only person that the concept belongs to. Not the publisher of his work 25 years ago, not some idiot who happens to have the same name for his completely unrelated RPG. If that original creator came back and said "It's mine, what are you doing?" then fair enough, but he apparently disappeared off the radar years ago .. and if he presumably doesn't care if the game is re-made, why should we? The fact that the project made more than half a million Euros presumably shows that a lot of people think likewise.
Anyone, really appreciative of the guys who continue to bring news and videos here!

The legal arguments are very fluid. Some think they are black and white, but legal reality is not like that.
Unfortunately your quite reasonable point above is also inconsequential in law, its all about the paper rights, but it is also about enforcability.
The first thing to note, too often overlooked by detractors of the project is that Heroquest 25th is legally classifiable as a grey market good.
Heroquest is clearly grey market and thus legally distinct from black market goods as they have a legal point of origin. Had Gamezone directly copied the original game it would have been a black market good, in very different and much more shaky legal standing.
Grey market goods are NOT 'counterfeit' or 'fake' in US law (or elsewhere), no matter how some would like to think so. Though they can still be actionable, but at a must lower level of enforceability.
The bad news (for Gamezone and US backers).
- Moon Design owns the HeroQuest trademark in the US, and have gone on record saying they wont allow its use without approval from Hasbro. This is fine, fair and legal.
- Hasbro has been silent throughout and could take any form of action, if they do it will likely occur at release, partially for maximum effect. GW did that in the past with competitors, gave an amber light to a project (in fairness Hasbro has said nothing at all).
The good news.
- Gamezone might have made enough changes to enough component to have a legal loophole though copyright infringement, and hopefully also and trade dress infringement.
- Trademark infringement will be hard to defend outside the US, and is questionable (if risky inside). Inside the EU Gamezone owns some of the trademarks usable to this product, though I for one wish that the project came under a different name to begin with.
- Grey market goods are not of themselves illegal and the customs fines Moon Design scare US backers into thinking (see page 9 of this thread) they will get are highly unlikely, but not impossible, and thus still worrisome for US backers. Moon Designs spokesperson called the Gamezone Heroquest 'counterfeit', which is ignorant of the law. But threats don't need a legal basis to be scary to backers.
This last point is where a lot of people get stuck on the dogma that it is defacto 'fraud' or 'infringement'. This is not necessarily true, I dug up a document online on trademark infringement and imports by Harvard Law School (who presumably might know a tad more about the legal ins and outs than the average internet mob). Sadly I cannot find the document at this time but in overview the document claimed that in the case of grey market goods with questionable trademarks enforcibility is only normally made for major trademarks, of which Moon Design most certainly doesn't apply.
A company can call for enforcement and Moon Design has gone on record saying it will do so if goods are shipped however if it does so there enters a new problem. By doing so it has to give a legal enforcement date, which is problematic because Zanzanos backers have laid for their goods a priori.
As this is a crowdfund project the US backers, who are also end customers have already paid for the goods prior to any infringement, as you cant infringe on a product that has yet to be produced, backers are also innocent of wrongdoing especially as they bought the goods in Spain where the project is de facto legal. Thus in order to penalise crowdfund backers you would have to backdate a legal enforcement action to prior to the alleged offense, and in law you cannot judge someone on an infringement or even a crime that occurred before the offence became illegal.
Crowdfund projects are a legal nightmare in this way as enforcement messes with one of the most sacred rights of civic society, that the law cannot be backdated to penalise actions prior to when and offense was made.
i don't know how this will pan out, but the legal issue is certainly not cut and dried.
in conclusion for US backers
- Gamezone's Heroquest are definable as grey market goods with legal standing in the country of origin and are sufficiently distinctive to orginal Heroquest. Thus they are not 'counterfeit', or 'illegal' or 'fraudulent' I would even go as far as to say those are libelous terms.
- US imports might be interfered with my customs, this can certainly happen, but according to legal sources seisure is unlikely for grey market goods outside of cases of major copyrights. aka make a grey market good which is reminiscent of Coca Cola, expect customs to act, making a grey market good which is reminiscent of Heroquest isnt the same.
- Even if the goods are seized the goods owners can appeal, and the appeal generally takes into account the following
In the event of seizure and forfeiture, the importer retains its rights to contest the seizure and forfeiture, including the right to petition Customs for relief from the forfeiture. Petitions for Relief and/or lawsuits in the federal district court’s can raise important issues and challenge the basis for seizure by, among other issues, contesting whether the goods are, in fact, gray market goods, whether they differ in quality, whether there is likelihood of confusion, the legitimacy of the source, the authority under which the trademark was applied, and others.
Now for a Lanzanos backer, who is not a retailer the chance of confusion is not relevant, the backer knows what the goods are. The sources itself is legitimate as the goods were legally manufactured in Spain under Spanish law.
There is a good chance Heroquest will be a wave through, no matter what Moon Design says. Or they might never reach backers.
This doesn't take away months of anxiety of US backers due to Moon Design's threats. Were I a US resident I would not have backed this project, it's not worth the lost sleep.
EU backers don't have these worries, and are likely home and dry unless Hasbro makes a play, and even then it is likely we will be able to get our goods due to EU free borders. We purchased the game in Euros, from Spain, as EU citizens.
We can ship them anywhere we want in the EU and unless they are made of cannabis resin it is unlikely any objection is possible or likely.
If there are problems we can take a short holiday in Madrid and collect, or get a friend to ship them for us. If there are our personal goods making transit inside the EU, we are in the clear.
Anyone, really appreciative of the guys who continue to bring news and videos here!
Funnily enough, just before reading this I had written an email to FyD Forja y Desván TV.
Basically a thank you for the frequent videos and an opening of communications. With a link to this thread. The guy obviously has a direct track to Gamezone, and I think it might be good if we talk.
My main motive for doing this is the hope that they clean up some of the Engrish spelling like 'former tabern bouncer'.
While I still believe a company shouldn't use another company's ideas and products to promote their without their permission, I'll add that, had Hasbro not let the HeroQuest trademark lapse, I'm sure we wouldn't have this problem. Ironically, Hasbro obtained a trademark on HeroQuest when Chaosium neglected to acquire the rights to it when designing their HeroQuest game. The designer, of course, being Greg Stafford, who would later become the founder of Issaries, who would trademark HeroQuest in the US when Hasbro let the name lapse. He would then later license the trademark to Moon Design. http://www.maranci.net/rqpast.htm
> Were I a US resident I would not have backed this project, it's not worth the lost sleep.
From my research on past Hasbro IP disputes, I'm not surprisingly come to the conclusion that litigation will take a long time, long enough for EU backers to receive their games. Based on Moon Design's previous actions, I think Moon Design will aggressively defend its US trademark, resulting in, or at least assisting in, seizure of US copies. Based on GZ's previous actions (US trademark contesting lapse) I doubt GZ will do much to assist US backers if their copies of HQ25 are seized. (Who knows, maybe US backers will get a voucher for non-HQ product.)
Eh,. I'm just happy that Monolith got their 3.3M...
While I still believe a company shouldn't use another company's ideas and products to promote their without their permission,
For all my support of Gamezone, and distain for the tactics of Moon Design I cannot argue with that.
It made very little sense for Gamezone to make Heroquest.
First, there is a legal issue outside of Spain where GZ have the full trademark.
Second, its Heroquest, and Gamezone. Look at the miniatures, they are connossieurs quality, its not a boardgame, its a miniatures game, these sets while made of different coloured resin are only really of value to someone who wants to pay for pro sculpt resin gaming pieces, paint them etc. Heroquest on the other hand is a kids game, its a very basic dungeon bash with not a lot of depth to it, thoroughly shallow compared to say Descent and Dungeon Saga, and even Super Dungeon Explore, the latter while themed in a kids genre is an adult marketed game (or gamer dads with kids) also due to miniatures quality and the expectation to paint them.
IMHO Gamezone should have done their own game from the start, broadly comparable to Descent and Dungeon Saga, and a high end copy of those sorts of titles with an in depth ruleset.
Sneakily they could even have announced a copy of Heroquest, got everyones attention, 'failed' to get the license and say afterwards <shrug shoulders> "sorry, however we still have awesome minuiatures so we will make our own game". and make their new project straight away upon the publicity of the old.
I'll add that, had Hasbro not let the HeroQuest trademark lapse, I'm sure we wouldn't have this problem.
I remember ads for Heroquest in old Runequest products. It was vapour and the trademark lapsed prior to implementation. Chaosium earned the word 'chaos' in their title, they made awesome stuff in the 80's but didnt get their act together as a business. Very sad really, RQ3 was a step down as it stepped up complexity and lost a lot of the feel Chaosium had built up, even today it is difficult to top the imagination and depth of quality of Chaosium's early works.
At what stage did Games Workshop get involved in Heroquest?
From my research on past Hasbro IP disputes, I'm not surprisingly come to the conclusion that litigation will take a long time, long enough for EU backers to receive their games.
Hasbro, if it acts will likely do so at the retail stage, details of infringement are clearer after production has concluded.
The suppliers I spoke to at Salute wont order in retail copies until after they see which way the wind is going.
Based on Moon Design's previous actions, I think Moon Design will aggressively defend its US trademark, resulting in, or at least assisting in, seizure of US copies.
From what I have seen of US law Heroquest being grey goods with a minor trademark are a natural wave through. Moon Design can make direct petition and thus force customs to act, but only by writing a formal legal letter, which is thus datestamped. Good shipped after that date can be targeted good prior cannot.
Gamezone can ship to backers prior to any formal release date, this is normal for crowdfund projects anyway and I hope they do this. I really hope Gamezone have enough good sense to have the backers copies in a Spanish postal service and timestamped as sent before a final completion is announced. Under those circumstances customs action in the US is minimised. Its still a bit scary for backers though.
Moon Design however do have a very good case against retail imports. I have never denied or contested this. Retail imports are a different dynamic as the objection by Moon Design would predate import and sale, the goods would for retail sale thus the argument of market confusion over trademarks (which Gamezone has already failed to stop) applies in full. Moon Design can make an adequate defense of its trademark by going after Gamezone and prohibiting retail import, while leaving backers alone. Backers due to the nature of involvement know they are not buying Moon Design Gloranthan products, and any backers pledge doesn't detract from Moon Design's income or hurt Moon Design in any way.
It is my opinion that Heroquest 25th Anniversary retail edition and subsequent copies will not be on sale in the US, if Hasbro makes a move they might not be on retail sale outside of Spain. Though the answer for Gamezone is to trade in the US under another name, they only need the Heroquest name during the set up stage, if customers know it, like it and want to buy it the name no longer matters.
Based on GZ's previous actions (US trademark contesting lapse) I doubt GZ will do much to assist US backers if their copies of HQ25 are seized. (Who knows, maybe US backers will get a voucher for non-HQ product.)
No they wont, but backers can appeal by themselves. Their chances of getting their goods are strong. First the goods have to be seized and the end recipient, notified. Then the recipient can appeal, and much of the mitigating circumstances work in their favour. Note the wording of the quote from the link:
In the event of seizure and forfeiture, the importer retains its rights to contest the seizure and forfeiture, including the right to petition Customs for relief from the forfeiture. Petitions for Relief and/or lawsuits in the federal district court’s can raise important issues and challenge the basis for seizure by, among other issues, contesting whether the goods are, in fact, gray market goods, whether they differ in quality, whether there is likelihood of confusion, the legitimacy of the source, the authority under which the trademark was applied, and others.
Most of the law is concerned with stuff like not-Nikes with the swish on back to front, points of formal dissimilarity with these goods are too distinct, especially with regards to a backer, who would be hard to apint as someone duped into thinking he was buying Moon Design items or old Heroquest. I cannot easily put odds to it, but if I arm twist myself I thing that US customs will more likely than not waive through Heroquest (this is assuming they notice it and read the infringement notice Moon Design or Hasbro puts out), and if seize there is a good enough chance the goods may be released. If the seizure is successfully challenged even once it ceases to be worth US customs time and the backers copies will remain a wave through.
This ignores any legal issue with time stamped infringement notices to US customs not matching up with Spanish shipping dates and resulting quagmire of rights violations. All in all I think US backers have better than even odds of getting their copies.
Even with all these issues in the favour of backers if you imagine the long wait all backers of this project have, and the usual anxiety of late products and the chance of a product or company failure common to all crowdfund projects; US backers have to multiply those anxieties x100. Things CAN go horribly wrong for them, customs might seize the goods and reject appeals. I cannot call this with any certainty. I have not forgiven Moon Design for the threats made, it was a dick move to place US backers under that type of mental pressure, most will have forked out $150 USD or more even for a simple level 1 and shipping and then face months and months of worry.
Moon Design should made their US trademark objection, then sat back and waited to have gone after Gamezone directly and target retail imports.

(and I recall from another thread he met with someone senior at GW recently - it was on the GW staffer's linked in or some business site. This lead to buyout rumours)
Also - I think it was in a BGG thread that Hasbro UK has renewed their Heroquest trademark.

Greg Stafford's companies have been hit by IP issues, so I'm not surprised that his companies are more aggressive at enforcing their IP than Hasbro. Also, US IP law is very murky -- sometimes you *must* attempt to enforce your IP or you will lose it. Lawyers will interpret law differently, so one company may act on the advice on one lawyer and act one way, and another on another lawyer and act another.
Well, if the sales are stopped it will be a dreadful shame.
And who will benefit? Not the masses of gamers that are looking forward to this release that's for sure, the only winners will be the solicitors (as per normal) and the little guy from Moon Design that has the chip on his shoulder.

Ah, I didn't realise that! Take back everything I said now then.
I had been told years ago that the designer lost interest with games design and hadn't been heard of for years. Obviously I was told a turkey!

Interesting, I am curious as to what and where Greg Stafford's IP is pretty much unique, it copies very little and brings much that is new. A rare man.
Also, US IP law is very murky -- sometimes you *must* attempt to enforce your IP or you will lose it.
A truth of US IP law I hate, its pure lawyer bait. I read ther above as: If someone infringes you have to hire one of the boys at $50/hour to defend yourself, for each and every occasion.
Lawyers will interpret law differently, so one company may act on the advice on one lawyer and act one way, and another on another lawyer and act another.
The legal d6 keeps on rolling. The only thing certain is that its costly to take a shot.
See what I mean by US backers get x100 worry of an EU crowdfund backer. And why I couldn't mentally afford to buy into this project if I were a US resident.

Beautiful product, beautiful miniatures, designed to bring joy to gamers. This sort of nastiness should not be in the hobby.

Not necessarily. As a senior suit for Hasbro on what is likely to be a very high salary making games might not mean much to him anymore. He has the mighty percentage to think about.
Still Hasbro has of yet refused to make comments on the case, they are the big player in the game, and I can make no calls on how they will react.
I am keeping in mind I might have to collect my own Heroquest boxes (I ordered two Level 3 pledges) from Madrid. I will turn it into a holiday.
I am 99.9% certain even Habro can't stop a Spanish sale in Spain. And once the items are my personal property in the EU I can transport them within the EU.
It might come to this, damn well hope not though.

Get a better look at the detail.
I want to see the mummy miniatures painted. I really don't like the look of the mummies for the game, perhaps because I am used to the thick set traditional Boris Karloff style mummy. But a lot
of that could be because I cant read the detail of the miniature, seeing one painted could give a better idea.
I have been to Maine, only place in the US I have visited. Saw lots of trees. The flight stopover at Boston doesn't count.
Though in a way it does because it meant that my first glimpse of New World were the silhouettes of the towers of downtown Boston just after dusk, as the airliner banked to turn in to land.. Not quite Manhattan but the right shape for a proper "welcome to the USA".
I still remember that view.
Orlanth wrote: I have been to Maine, only place in the US I have visited. Saw lots of trees.
Where about, I live in Maine ha ha. It's really great in the summer, can drive 10 minutes in about any direction and find a place to swim. Winter can be rough, but that's what painting models is for
Back when I was there, admittedly that was in the 80's. Supposedly Maine was the poorest state in the Union, yet there is actually less actual poverty there, just fewer ultra rich people.
I liked Maine a lot, though I never learned to appreciate lobster.
Anyway, back to Heroquest miniatures.
No new sculpts to show, but the YouTube channel has been showcasing painted miniatures. These are painted to gaming standard rather than studio. Why they specifically showcased them I don't know, as it obvious that the guy behind this YouTube channel has some hot painting skills which are not being used on this occasion. Maybe they were someone else's work, or Gamezone wanted to show studio and tabletop quality separately. Who knows.
Missed opportunity, I would have liked to see sheer fabrics painted by a studio, preferably with a tutorial.
Much better job. Extra filthy dungeon victims make sense. Even the mini looks like it needs a bath.
Two skellies, dont like the deep brown bone shading, and in fact the inking in general was a bit sloppy but likely a quick paint job.
I really want to see the mummies painted as its hard to judge what the miniatures actually look like, except that they don't look like regular mummies.
Thank you so much, its looks alot better now I can understand the sculpt.
I feel happier about the selection of undead now.
I was watching the channel daily, they must have uploaded two sessions of videos today, quiaff.
Earlier I saw a comparison between the two dwarves and other stuff we had seen before, as with th last few days and had stopped posting the links until new stuff emerged.
I'm not a fan of the red coloured flesh for the mummy. I agree that it's much easier to make sense if the sculpt now we've seen it painted, but I'd be inclined to go for a greyish, more corpsey colour.
I will paint mine in traditional Egyptian mujmy colours, flesh a brown black and vomit brown cerement highlighted to dirty white.
While more accurate style (not that it means much to a fantasy game) I would rather have preferred classic muscular bound mummies as per the black and white cinema days.
It's the female elf at 14 minutes. I heard 'elfa' mentioned several times. It's a very nice piece in a sexy slinky pose. Still she has an hourglass figure, and a large bottom and is more proportioned for human than elf.
She has a separate metal hand with a swordsword to go with the sword on her back.
Multiclass dual wielding fighter-mage?
Veteran barbarian is in three parts.
I don't think we saw the tomb lid before at 45 seconds as a model.
Ok Gamezone minis fans and backers. We have genuine new content to add today.
First, a repaint on the vampiress, with less drybrush, and a very creepy style.
IMHO badly painted tracker, though it shows the miniature sculpt nicely.
New stuff.
First the zombies. Now these sculpts are different and shows that necromancers are an equal opportunity recruiter.
Liker the mummies this game doesnt go for the usual style at all, and am not so sure of the choices, but its definitely different and if you want ordinary zombies and mummies Mantic will provide.
And a third new miniature to show.
The Knight.
I liked the Knight artwork well enough, but this sculpt is gorgeous. Allowing for the pose though I would have preferred a pollaxe to spear, that is not any way to hold a spear
You rest a spear with the butt on the ground or over shoulder, which you dont want to with those pauldrons.
Meanwhile the position is not good for at ease, which fro a separ is usually across the chest, the weapon is not readied in any way, yet is not in a restful pose.
It's very similar to the at ease position for a pollaxe though, it hangs on the arms but can be brought fro a swing quickly if needed. In fact some of the guard positions for pollaxe according to the Fechtbucher are not too dissimilar the pose here. Depending on the artwork in the game and assuming I even want the game as intended once I see the rules I might convert the weapon to a pollaxe.
Wow, those are some massively different zombie designs. So much so that I couldn't buy into both of them having the same in-game stats. If they're using such varied designs I hope they're going to vary how the models behave in-game. That said, I don't dislike either design, it's just jarring to see such a contrast.
As you said, the knight looks brilliant. I see what you mean about the spear, I'll wait and see what it looks like in real life, but it looks like it should be simple enough to switch if it looks funny when I have it in my hands.
On an unrelated note, as was mentioned previously, can we go back to spoiler tagging the videos? It took me 5 attempts to get this page to load on my mobile phone!
While different I think zombification is a real leveller. Size however matters. So I think fat housewife zombie is probably more dangerous than the regular zombies we see.
On an unrelated note, as was mentioned previously, can we go back to spoiler tagging the videos? It took me 5 attempts to get this page to load on my mobile phone!
So that explains the spoiler tags, I thought it was to make image heavy posts more compact.
Ok, will do, though you will have to make to with earlier posts as they are.

Yep that's why I changed to Spoiler tags before and asked for them again the more videos on the page the slower and longer it takes to load. The page is taking ages to load for me now and that's on a laptop with 120MB broadband.
I don't recall seeing the Dwarf before looks good. There was a Hangout last night but I haven't seen any news from it yet.

I will start by telling you this, the official date is on May 14, 2015 for the stores to sell the boardgame. This means that the game will be delivered to them earlier and the pre-orders will be delivered to you on May 7. The backers even earlier than that but I have no idea for the pouet (*what is 'pouet'?). Just for the things to arrive little by little. Regarding the minatures, I have noticed that Rokror have already dropped the piece so I will not occupy myself with that. My translation FR has been reviewed by another fan FR and transmitted to a professional translator by one of the editors who are responsible for the finalization of the documents. I will not receive the prototype but only the boardgame. My only task from now on is the updates' translation of the official site (2 of them are already done but they are not online yet) or the online boutique (1 is still not on line).'
So if all goes to plan It sounds like the start of May is when backers will be getting their games (sod's law it will be the day I go on holiday for 2 weeks D: ). But most reassuringly, it sounds like the rules are being professionally translated. So no dodgey google translations like most of their updates have been!
Gamezone.de is reporting a release date now of mid-July.
I don't like her sculpt that much, it seems crude somehow. Are they rushing to finish?
Anyways I wish the female mage was better named. While wizard is sometimes unisex given the distinction wizard is a name term, 'mago' can translate to mage directly, but then so can 'hechicera'. However the latter more closely translates to sorceress.
Anyway they are starting to roll in again.
Automatically Appended Next Post: The other half of the vampiress set.
Very characterful piece, this model is very different. Craziness well emphasised, is his staff made up from a norse ship figurehead and a french horn?
The models are coming thick and fast now, on the home straight maybe.
Elfa
Spoiler:
I am really impressed with the two most recent releases. It's good to see the elf up close, the metal weapon isn't an issue to me, in fact its a bonus as I can hand prime the hand and wrist and 'paint' ther blade with brasso. But the eight core models ere supposedly all red resin, this knocks back the core aesthetic.
I'm really impressed as well, the female elf is an especially good sculpt.
I hope that the female wizard and maybe the zombies will be a little more detailed when/if we see a final casting (rather than a 3d printed prototype), but if not, the games overall production quality has already exceeded my expectations.
Well, have to say both of those look absolutely fantastic.
The 'mad mage' especially, really like how GZ are braking out of the traditional fantasy tropes with a lot of the miniatures they have revealed so far.
The detail on the prototype is a little lacking, and the overall design of this one seems a little underwhelming. I know they're trying to provide a different twist on what could be a generic class of models, I'm just not fond of them. I have a feeling the zombies will stick out like a sore thumb when lined up alongside the other monsters, especially the skellies and mummies, that seem to have a more traditional 'scary' vibe.
The teenager is ok, not sure on the zombies. Zombie clown ok, but as one of only four zombies having several woerd ones as repeatable characters is a bad idea.
Thankfully they are only fething zombies, I will get Mantic ones, and Mantic mummies also and use the Gamezone ones fro character undead.
The housekeeper zombie and the jester zombie would actually be better off not as undead. They would make for good refugees and/or victims. Also why is the militia zombie still got his halberd, zeds dont use tools.
They've just uploaded a video called 'cards and more news', it's all in Spanish so I don't really think theres any point copying it here though. But if you're interested in seeing some pictures of a handful of cards (and/or can understand Spanish), it's here:
They look like longer heavier built Saurus. Though that may depend on scale, they are lower to the ground and not upright like saurus are so their tails are likely to stick out behind, or they may be smaller to fit on a square. They might even take up two squares, we don't know, scale ins not implied, but it would make sense for them to be larger tougher monsters like the fimir were.
Akll inn all they are promising.
I didnt bother with the cards, these are textless blanks, which makes senss as you split the artwork from the localisation for best results. Still the art is good. I really now hope the game itself doesn't suck (IMHO the more Heroquest it is, the more this is likely) as the production looks excellent.
If not the three drakks would make excellent d&d lizardfolk,, and dependent on scale could make for an excellent saurus old blood. Damn, I don't have a lizardman army anymore.
The new alternative board, all set up with a selection of models. There's also a new video of the original board, so it would seem that one design is complete, and the other isn't. Assuming that FyD have all of the most up to date stuff...
It's getting there, and the major monsters have yet to be added. No chaos warriors, drakks, sorcerer, boss monsters or troll. Also that board setup didn't use the rather nice bookshelves, which I must be honest were the tipping point which made me back to begin with.
0:45 Elf
1:40 Elf (alternate)
2:40 Elf (alternate)
3:10 Elf (alternate, metal)
7:40 All the elves
Gamezone did say they made eight elf models because they weren't sure what they wanted. They might have made more since. The weaponmaster is also an elf so two of these miniatures might be our ones.
3:52 Chaos Sorcerer
7:00 Chaos Warrior (metal)
These are very nice.
4:25 Some sort of druidic manbeast.
It might not be for HQ but it is based similarly to and compared to the barbarian.
5:21 Mage figure for Heroquest
6:01 Female mage (metal)
Is this the renegada?
6:25 Mage (metal)
Might these be the boss wizards? Might these not be for HQ but general releases.
7:58 Succubus
There isnt a succubus in Heroquest, now I wish there was. Gamezone don't overly sexualise most miniatures unlike many sculptors, but this Succubus is modelled in full naked detail, which is kind of appropriate for the demon.
8:31++
From here on I wonder if we are seeing production bases.
These are all 'companions', and are reduced detail, lower level miniatures. Possibly dungeon henchmen to hire. All metal.
8:50 Archer
9:05 Blacksmith (I doubt its the character blacksmith)
9:20 Peasant with axe
9:32 Peasant with mattock
9:45 Dark elf (metal)
10:20 A dwarf (metal)
10:30 A dwarf (metal) with a gunblade?
10:55 Third dwarf
Translations welcome. I would be grateful if someone highlighted which are Heroquest miniatures.
Not to say that the elf at 0:45 is bad, its actually quite a good model, but I hate it. Of course, this is assuming it is supposed to be the main elf hero and not one of the additional 15. It is completely different from the original concept and the design on the box art (the second point is what makes me think it is not the main model). The first alternative is closer, but its just a really dull and uninteresting model, the second is more interesting, but I'm equally unenthusiastic towards. Again, the metal one is a reasonable sculpt, it just feels wrong. All in all, if any one of these actually is the final elf model, its the first time I'm completely dissapointed by anything they've produced for this game. That said, if the first one is one of the additional heroes, I really like it
The Chaos sorcerer is really dynamic, I like it. The 'druidic man beast' as you so wonderfully name him, is okay I guess, I don't know if its the corpse on the base, but something makes it feel like it doesn't fit with the rest of the models we've seen.
The Mage is incredible, really happy with her. I think the model at 6:00 is just an alternative sculpt.
The Chaos warrior is really good, hopefully the end product won't be in metal though. I can understand for one or two small parts on the additional heroes, but a whole model from the core set should not be cast in metal in my eyes.
The succubus/harpy thing is great, even if I'll have to suspend disbelief as to why she will drag that poor dying body around the board with her as she fights That's assuming it is in the game, it doesn't seem to match any of the descriptions, unless it is an 'active' gargoyle? they're the only winged things I can remember being mentioned.
The human models around the 9 minute mark may be the 'servants' that were unlocked as stretch goals perhaps?
I think he said 'Vamipra' in regards to the model at 9:45, so maybe another alternative for the under-the-sheet model we have already seen?
I agree that a translation would be extremely helpful. A lot of the pieces don't seem like they belong with the game, and if they do, there is going to be much more metal than we were originally led to believe (assuming these aren't rough mock-ups). But I just really hope we haven't seen the main Elf yet, it's normally my hero of choice when playing and all of the models shown here are simply miles away from what I was hoping for.

The metal one with the long spear is going to get in the way in a boardgame. I really like the elf lord with eagle, but think he fits as an HE general, not a Heroquest hero.

Same model, perched on clambering over pillar would be nice. Yes I prefer her without a victim too, but its a great Succubus miniature, pose is perfect, detail is perfect and the head especially is perfect, it combines demonic, sleekness and a falsely 'fragile' female beauty. The model most of all sculpts the parts most sculptors don't reach, which I normally don't want but is perfect for a sex demon. A back view of a fully exposed female strongly emphasises a natural vulnerability, yet for a succubus the more sexually vulnerable she appears the less she actually is and the more danger one is in.
This model would look best just landed on a rock, more of less the same pose but with the head turned around. Falsely vulnerable intensely dangerous, as if she is saying 'come closer foolish boy'.
They should do an Incubus also with a seductive ripped pose and no lack of emphasis on man parts.
Thing is, Heroquest deosnt need those miniatures at all. It's essentially a kids game, and while this connoseurs edition is anything but some lip service to non adult content is appropriate. The female vampire ok, but I think naked sex demons is a step too far.

Gamezone expressed dissatisfaction with the elf on several occasions. I would prefer yet another Legolas clone for the role. Mantic have gone with female wood elf archer. I can see the reasoning in doing things differently.
Still both the first two miniatures are worth having in their own right, even if not as "elf".
As you probably know, Gamezone have been pretty awful at keeping backers up to date, no official correspondence has been sent out regarding the shipping date since they confirmed that they were going to miss the original December 14 target date.
However, their German website (http://gamezoneminiatures.de/startseite/heroquest-25-anniversary-english-with-free-morcar.html) currently says 15th July, but there's no confirmation. None of their English, French or Spanish websites, or the main heroquestclassic site mention any date at all though. It also doesn't specify if that date (assuming its correct) would be the shipping date for backers, the shipping date for preorders or the on-the-shelves retail date.
So basically, nobody has any clue but fingers crossed it might be sometime in the next month. I'm extremely sceptical of that though.
leppardf wrote: Does anyone have any idea if/when this will finally ship? Or where to find info regarding the project?
Thanks
July is the rumoured release time, not entirely implausible, but I am thinking autumn release is more likely.
As you are in the US your hold on your product is more shaky than in the EU sad to say. If I were you I would be happy shipping hasn't been announced, it would be better if your pledge arrived at your door unannounced as it would thus be more likely to arrive.
The board is very different in design, it is vinyl. The board shape is also different and there is no double side.
I am happy to see a vinyl board, and also to see add on sections that build larger rooms, but this is different to what was expected and more documentation is due.
Summary of what was said not to have to watch the video every time they want to remember something . As Alpha-Warrior says, Dionisio was a little scattered and difficult to draw conclusions from a few questions. I put in red some things that have gone unanswered, without elaborating, etc. I recommend watching the video, because there are things that cost to unravel its meaning, and perhaps the concept has stayed with me is not the same for everyone. What additional mechanisms have the evil sorcerer to make it more fun to play with him? -antagonists: not only has its monsters generic thugs but also antagonists (antiheroes) with its record as if they were heroes: points of life, mind, special skills, own spells, etc. They are not great enemies of the final phase, they can go apariciendo for adventure. -Cards dire (in contrast to the heroic cards), (going to explain they do, but goes off on a tangent and to nothing) Later one of them there are: it can be used only when the heroes make a blunder or a combination of miscues, and allows sound an alarm or attract monsters, etc. Maybe locate the monsters in his opinion for the dungeon, traps, etc. ( some may be random). Not clear whether they are all monsters and traps, or if some are fixed and others put your. Nor is it clear whether the enemies are in packs (put two goblins / two orcs / a mummy and two zombies. In the rooms A, B, or C) or if the missions are empty rooms, with a list of monsters to put will. 'The campaign has different results "choose your own adventure" so it depends on what you do the heroes or over, straps on a path or another. The evil sorcerer has the grace to try to go down the path that you are interested in history.
How is meant replayability? Some missions, if you fail, you can return them to try. They change things around, there will be additional notes or additional difficulty, but you can repeat them. Others, if you the skip, or if you go by a different route, or if you fail, you will not have a chance to repeat but the storyline changes because of your failure and leads you to other various missions How can you point where you put your monsters and traps, if you choose the MB? With mobile. It will be available an application with all the adventures (and also create them, I think it says ... you hear fatal) where you can put: look, here here here monsters and traps there. There will also be random events. Hence the thing remains. We do not know if the application will come out with the game, or later, next to the tower of dice, the picture on the back of the box, coins and pieces articulated
viscosity abyss What's this? Is it so viscous as rumored? Is it a base, leaving the four tentacles. Not a big octopus. Four avenues of attack. A pain. Will randomly largely depends on a few things out, sometimes not. With certain amount of success-critical entangles you and grabs you it can attack two squares away ... Flooded areas hinder movement. You are more clumsy and slow, but things in the water no. Those struggling normal, so it is more difficult. Implies that expects something kind Weir Star Wars (could be that they were hidden). Mechanical be drowning
death That system has been raised? Do you stop playing? Do you begin at the same dungeon with another hero? Do you wait for the next adventure? You're not invincible. If you get to 0 points of life you fall unconscious, seriously injured, you have chances of recovery, you can get a -1, -2, -3 ... here comes the crappy because you can die or become serious if you keep giving. Unconscious, you are recoverable and transportable, outside the cave, and then there's a table that tells you how long you must go without go adventuring, etc. For example, if you are negative, there is a series of turns until you are irrecoverable and we must try to stabilize yourself if you are unconscious, you attack any enemy makes sure success, and safe disposal. So when someone falls you should go to save if or if. No answers exactly happens. I of course so it has been said that if you fall unconscious or die ... start playing with your mobile. Nor do we know what happens if you can not go to the next adventure. Is it grabs another temporary hero, or the next day you do not come bulling?
How have raised the healing magic and potions? Report resurrection spell? Before that, there is a rule that remove basic (? do not know if that will mean, but the draft did not go out, or no longer be ... as seems to speak if that will be): crushing. If you stay in negative as well as points of life had positive, stay crushed and irretrievable. Another thing, heroic rules: one thing I like to do but has not. See if someone can make a page where the dead heroes are made, with name, history, and how they died. There is no resurrection. There are health potions, potions to recover hit points, spells that heal health, reinforce or even increase, other ridding you of unconsciousness ... The young adventurers have the rule that when you fall, you're transported to the study Mentor or wherever. It is not traumatic for children
Is there a character who has some healing ability? Besides Wizard spell, something more mundane, another type of healing as bandages or clean wounds, etc? humm .. I do not remember. but I think there was not, but ... esque are 180 cards and mess me. I think there is none. And that need would be none. So something will come out very rapidly, for a reason. It is not an oversight, because this is not an oversight, but a lack.
of background topic About how many pages? Are there stories of monsters, characters, background? What resources will the master if you want to expand the world, and is consistent with what you have in mind? Where do they come orcs, or characters, etc? There is a part of the background that is coming in the future Gamezone game battle, and used to HeroQuest. There is one thing they wanted to go out in the regulations but He has not had time to do and that will after the game (next to the tower of dice and articulated minis), "but if I hear illustrator maybe it gets to it and, hehe, no, he goes. This is postponed "It's a map - the coast of the Dead Cities: There are 7 flooded cities, everyone knows it, and in these seven all the adventures take place. -The hegemony is an area called "Entrambosríos" because it is between two great rivers. From there come most heroes, it is a transit point near an empire in the distance, mountains and forests, and a swamp where the nobles bring their dead to put in a boat and sink in the swamp ¿ You will see this in the game? No. For one reason. Put yourself in the skin of someone of 10, 12 centuries ago. All you know is fragmented and by word of mouth, so the information they have is fractional, no background section in the book. It will be more enjoyable, because you can go exploring. They will appear in the adventures fragments has not been resolved if there will be background to the characters or monsters. Missing redo this part of the question
Wizard of good and evil magician What are they? How will they play? 'One is an additional hero, combat magician 'The other is an antagonist, a magician of chaos do not know why is summarized as a magician of good and evil magician PS later become the theme are unpublished for the buy in stores, they have something special characters. They are not exclusive, everybody can buy in stores ... (talk about they would like to have "bad" traitors, or so characters There is a character (the condemned), when another character is locked in combat with an enemy, it does not help. It is dedicated to something else, does not share battle. It's not necessarily bad. It comes out in your record.
What if the prisoner is locked in combat with another monster comes another hero and locks, passing ? the sentenced person is going ... or hits the hero, or he does? That would have to see. It depends on how each one wants to take (Benevolévolamente think it means you have to stop fighting. If you are going to do something else, or gets angry with the hero ... that and as You want to take. I do not think that it refers to is not specified in the rules if he can continue fighting or not)
is said that all components will be available for store. Does that include cards, boards? Yes. Everything. Everything can go in packs (a miniature), or parts separately if you want just a head. And with the same cards, you can buy a kicker, if it bothers one (personal note: until they leave the special cases, of course ) a die, etc?
What does the renegade? Does the renegade? Does the elf? humm .... Well, I do not remember. His skill is not about his name, but I do not remember.
For many players the game is done? Does it matter that heroes are chosen to play, or there is any guideline, recommendation for balancing the group? For example, in the descent warriors you have red, blue healers, etc. so you can be balanced - you are given tools to master to make it fit. There is a percentage of extra difficulty that you can adjust, more monsters or traps, for if more players If you want to play with 7 barbarians post it! But you'll have problems opening doors, as is not taking a barbarian and using ram ...
Aha! So there will be locking mechanisms? Sure. How not going to be ...? There is even a character oriented looting. The honest archaeo-plunderer is an expert in and out of a dungeon. It's basically a thief. It is not explained how the groups are balanced, if there is any recommendation to make them balanced. We see some mechanics that only certain characters can do ...
Sometimes heroes are dedicated to go through the halls, killing some loose bug, explore all without opening the doors ... and only when everything is going explored opening doors one by one. That for the Master is very frustrating. What has been done in this game to avoid it? ¿Events that you can go jogging, timer? Yes. That worried me a lot. In some missions there are varying time limit. Flooded cities can flood and drowned die if you do not hurry! In others, the more evenings, the more likely they come reinforcements, in an unstoppable wave of take, etc. If not all, almost all the adventures, there will be something that will prevent you just sit quietly looting. Another, the mole troll, for example, sound activated by presence. It is a tough bug to peel, a considerable threat ... and he will appear, so the characters have to go fast (Rorkror says the concept reminds the berserker Gears of War or Resident Evil Titan, which appears out there, and you say "hmm .. I look for a better alternative path") There are some enemies is not to be a hero against villains, but sometimes are predators, and your prey. So you can not go like when we go to the field monitor and flee
but wandering monsters. There were letters from wandering monsters that came to seek and to vary the mission. Is there any letter in the decks that allow out wandering monsters and monsters that leave you? Yes, there will be (wandering monsters) Besides, you can also create your to move, depending on the blunders or so. (Mr. Style Rings Moria when they throw the bucket down the well). You can change alarms, multiplying enemies. Or it turns out waves, etc. In addition, there are letters (fatal assumed) that can be used only when a hero takes a certain result on the dice.
There are a lot of cards, spells, skills, equipment, etc. What's that There? How the characters are improved, with more life, more likely ..? Everything. Some are that you have given wildcard, you can use when you are interested (add before the shot), and a little everything that has been said. In addition, the experience wanting Advantages, do not give extra life, but offer possibilities for the future. For example dodge. Your defense capability does not work against gunfire. You can only block elements you provide defense shields or passive elements. . To avoid if you can roll one extra die for dodge Werty strikes: then the different types of stop, blocking, dodging, it's all a defense roll, this adds dice (no bonuses).
Then .. the more given strips, more possibilities to take blunder How's it going? An example: I attack with 5 dice, and pulled two numerical results, a critical two blunders There are critics who could void blunders. Your experience sometimes allows you to cancel the first miscue If you are a veteran, without doubling dice defense and life, you can for example cancel the first critical, etc. But not always. The lot is just Werty impact: for example in the roll we have said, not always, but it could be that critical blunder leaves with, and we would 2 Numeric with a blunder or two numeric if we have the ability to cancel The first blunder. If we do not, we would need a repeat of roll or something to change it. On defense, if you roll critic, also can not use it to stop, but to counterattack. Your munching damage (or not, if you already had sufficient defense), but contraatacas. 've received a lot of new possibilities since there is critical and pineapple. The idea is this, there is much variety of things to do
Can you give us an example of how the traps work in the game? Search, disable, etc. Not only will traps in boxes, also vertical wall are activated when passing through the intersection between a cell and another. Some detectable, sometimes not. Some can go over them and not activated, others will. They depend on each game and each rule, so that they are not boring. Traps may jump pit with a chance of falling. A box is easy two even three ... hill and you have to be very agile. You can turn off some, others not so, few are activated once every other time you pass. There are physical laws, but there is also magic.
Possibilities. ¿5% critical 5% the blunder? As if 1d20. And the remaining 90% divided among the other 6 possibilities. If. Moreover since the end is stiffer and lighter than the prototype, so we are jumping, and tend to throw more.
One of the concerns is the difference between lvl1 and lvl3. 50 missions for each level. The new elements are very succulent, it's a shame they do not appear in the level 1 will be the possibility that they may be on an optional basis or so on level 1 so they can be used more? if you can pull lever I'm still doubtful, and I'll tell you why ... The basic box is sold, and it is intended that all playable with that. See, it is clear that everything is customizable although the rules do not come in. Just as leaves in the rules that you can put more monsters more enemies, can also put out: If you have levers, put it. But of course, then it seems that you are forced to buy things "aah, but you lose it." So I had this dilemma and I do not remember that I have done in the end. At the end it seems that no, they do not come in the first 50 adventures. But I really like the house rules and everyone expected the do 's
meet within two weeks? lol, lol. Alomejor, lol, within two weeks are beginning to emerge heroquestclassic updates and needless. But otherwise, yes.
And even more importantly......
After three weeks without updating the view or reply to interview we have news for accurate again. Lánzanos the user response Pablit0Sama (please put) "Hello Paul, This week we heard from Heroquest, so we have completed the entire process of printing and want to stop all shipments packaged before they begin the holidays, ie in a month at most. We do not know exact date of shipment but all that is the production and packaging process is practically ready. A greeting "
While the last bit is in translatese, but it could either mean the game is ready to ship in a month, or the 3d print masters are done and will all be in for production molding in a month.
delivery Game anniversary edition of the classic HeroQuest 25 is delayed again. The preparation, decoration and box production takes longer than expected to complete. A realistic date for delivery we had calculated It was September. We would like to formally apologize and assure you receive your order. We very much regret this delay and appreciate your understanding.
Well that is disappointing news, although not entirely unexpected.
What might be the issue for them now is that they're going to be going up against Mantic's own Dungeon crawler which is sure to eat into some of their sales, especially if Dungeon Saga is more readily available.
Dungeon Saga is for August release, it will now leapfrog Heroquest.
I am not surprised by this, an Autumn release was my personal estimate allowing for how much we are seeing done.
September is a doable plausible deadline, it should have been the one mentioned earlier in the year, I didn't buy the June deadline at all, and said so at the time. I remember you werent happy Pacific at my negativity. My concern is that its now three months away, and as the estimated completion date was three months ahead four months ago, there are fears it could be perpetually just over the horizon.
It all depends on whether Gamezone have realised or not how big a project they made for themselves and now have a rational grip on they task ahead.
Personally, and being a little selfish here, so long as I get my miniatures I am happy, the game can suck I wont care. Though if its good I am up for a pleasant surprise. Dungeon Sage is looking to have a really decent ruleset, better than Descent, and will be the fantasy bash of choice. Heroquest is a box of high quality RPG miniatures with a board and some cards with blurb written on, and some weird dice which I might turn into prayer wheel terrain.
I will still be happy, the Heroquest stuff looks so nice, we are in for such a treat when we get it, and it won't be long now.
Well assuming all of this information is correct, it sounds like everything else is basically done and it's just the manufacture of the boxes that's holding things up. I guess there's nothing we can do but wait and see (or hope naively that Gamezone will actually give us an official update ).
Ah sorry if I came across as a sour-puss Orlanth, I didn't intend to!
Really grateful for all of the news and info you guys bring here, it's pretty difficult to find out any info about the game otherwise.
It will certainly be interesting to see what the rules turn out like. I've also heard from those that tried it that Dungeon Saga plays pretty well so will be interesting to see how the two games match up.

We do so also for ourselves, I post what I can to keep the topic updated, to plod commentary and most of all to encourage others to find stuff, particularly those who speak other languages.
Posting You Tube stuff is just drawing out the real sources, almost all of which are on French German or Spanish forums.
Allowing that the surprisingly vicious trolling is being restricted to the English language forums, it makes sense for Gamezone to talk in Spanish, French or German, and we rely on Euro sites to give us the real info.

I am pessimistic after seeing what little I have seen. But then I never rated Heroquest, its a kids game with simplistic rules and little depth. Gamezone has added more cards and deep characterisation, which is promising, and new design features. It might work, but it looks to me to be too close to the banal original.
Dungeon boardgames have moved on from Heroquest and Darkworld, more modern titles from Descent 1st edition onwards have far more depth.
Did you pledge for both? Many of us had, dungeon bashes are a favourite genre so both were must buy ins for crowdfunding, and I normally don't bother with crowdfunding.
I spent more on these two games than all the rest put together for the last two years, including 40K.
Pretty sure the hero at 6:09 is the Swordmaster.
You only see the torso but he has elf ears, the same cloak with shoulder frill and the same pectoral.
I hope the Chaos Sorcerer from 3:52 of this video is the one from the set, he has a very nice flowing robe, and has the eight pointed star iconography.
If so the sorcerer from the previous video may well by one of the two evil wizards either Morcar or Zargon, or even the Demented Mage hero.
I think the Chaos Sorcerer at 3:52 is from an older line of gamezone products, it has nothing to do with HQ25.
You can see/buy it here:
Hechicero del caos III
It seems that Gamezone went radio silent once again, even after they'r last known deadline, spring, has ended.
So there are no news even on the spanish forums.
If you want some more detailed pictures of painted HQ miniatures there are some spanish blogs that showed a few.
This one has before and after pictures, the painter praised the sturdiness of the resin and the detail of the models but had some harsh words on the size of chunks of leftover resin that had to be cut manualy to clean the figures:

Well, with the shipping voucher I can afford to get the other Chaos Sorcerer if i so wish.
It seems that Gamezone went radio silent once again, even after they'r last known deadline, spring, has ended.
So there are no news even on the spanish forums.
It's about time to ask of any Dakka member is near enough to Seville to knock on door, its a small company, so you might get in.
If it's not too much trouble, could you go through the video I posted at the bottom of the previous page and let us know what is being said? Are the models confirmed as being part of the game? And are my guesses correct?
Thanks again for stopping by to help out all the non-Spanish speakers
Gorechild wrote: If it's not too much trouble, could you go through the video I posted at the bottom of the previous page and let us know what is being said? Are the models confirmed as being part of the game? And are my guesses correct?
No problem.
You have everything right, at least as far as hardhead said in the video.
Just one extra detail, the female zombie is refered to "amade las llaves" so it seems that she was some sort of housekeeper and has a set of keys.
Also, at the end of the video, hardhead said that he heard rumors that there were less (or is it fewer??) than 10 minis left to be produced.
Holy hell, I stop checking for two days and miss out on all of this!
Mole Troll, Tentacles of the Abyss, Evil Sorcerer (Morcar/Zargon/standard I'm not sure which) and the Mercenary
Spoiler:
Big fan of the troll, its face reminds me of the bats in the Peter Jackson version of King Kong on the body of a Cave Troll. I imagined the tentacles to be bigger, maybe over 4 board tiles, these look like they will topple over when you move models around them. glad they aren't too octopus-like though. The sorcerer is okay, don't like it as much as the one with the ram-skull helmet we saw in the last video though. Hopefully its a case of including both, not one or the other. The Merc is another 'okay' one I guess, completely inoffensive, but nothing special that makes it stand out in my eyes.
I hope that isn't the case, I really liked the one with the metal sword we'd seen before. Fingers crossed both models make it in and one of them is an additional hero, if not, it sort of explains why they're 7 months late if they feel the need to completely redesign really good quality miniatures for seemingly no reason.
Automatically Appended Next Post: And a different design for the female wizard? Again, this seems like another needless redesign and (in my eyes) isn't as good a sculpt as the female mage we had previously seen.
Spoiler:
This is the biggest problem with Gamezones zero information policy, there is no way of telling which models we have seen are genuine parts of the game. There's nothing wrong with this model at all, had I not seen the other one I would be more than happy with it, but if it now turns out that this is the finalised piece and the other sculpts are not going to feature as one of the 15 additional heroes, I end up being disappointed with the end product.
One of those will probably be the renegade or the bounty hunter of the additional 15 heroes.
Gorechild wrote: And a different design for the female wizard? Again, this seems like another needless redesign and (in my eyes) isn't as good a sculpt as the female mage we had previously seen.
Which female mage are you referring to?
I had only seen a prototype that was nearly identical to this one.
Most of the minis in that video are from older lines of gamezone products that used to be sold in metal, but that are starting to be produced in resin.
The one at 05:21 is indeed reffered to as human female wizard, but it is clearly said that it could fit very well in HQ25 (implying that it is in fact not from HQ25).
But as Orlanth pointed out before, if you really like that figure you could use the shipping voucher to buy it.
Learned Sorceress
The real question is why did they design all the HQ25 figures from scratch if they already had cool looking figures like this one?
This might be my favourite mini so far, even with the INSANE axe
Also, a size comparison for the tentacles. It seems to be noticeably wider than a miniatures base, and doesn't look quite so top heavy in this video. so hopefully it won't be getting knocked over constantly.
Lost my internet for a week, actually longer, but I was away for most of the time and had access elsewhere.
Good day to return to Dakka and my most awaited thread. I drink up all the posts on this thread and on Dungeon Saga, both of which is sadly too quiet. human Interface thread is slow also, but while this project is the most iffy with regards to delivery time, its the most promising in regards to content.

Thanks for that, this is why we need Spanish speakers to go over the videos and textwalls. Were any of the miniatures actually for Heroquest?
Big fan of the troll, its face reminds me of the bats in the Peter Jackson version of King Kong on the body of a Cave Troll.
I wonder if it will be that material, while I wouldn't choose a translucent effect it can look good and I would make a go of it. Pain the the rock and the eyes, add a dash of Devlin Mud, done.
Tentacles would be awesome in spooky translucent resin, especially if they plug into a n opaque resin base.
I imagined the tentacles to be bigger, maybe over 4 board tiles, these look like they will topple over when you move models around them. glad they aren't too octopus-like though.
I suppose they have to fit a single square for game convenience. One could weight them with a coin with putty surround underneath.
Also, a size comparison for the tentacles. It seems to be noticeably wider than a miniatures base, and doesn't look quite so top heavy in this video. so hopefully it won't be getting knocked over constantly.
Nice to see the tentacles have a threat to them. Place that marker in the middle of a 20ft square for an Evard's Black Tentacles spell effect. Those tentacles easily have reach for the whole spell area and makes more sense than a 'carpet' of tentacles. I might place the flagstone base on a round base with a sand rim, not so much to guarantee stability, I dont think that is going to be the issue but to make the base that is 'neutral' so it fits in non dungeon environments,
The sorcerer is okay, don't like it as much as the one with the ram-skull helmet we saw in the last video though. Hopefully its a case of including both, not one or the other.
Level three backers get both evil wizards, those pre-ordering get an evil wizard of their choice with a level 1 retail boxset.. I think this is the regular chaos sorcerer though, it doesn't look like it has boss credentials, in fact I don't like it at all. I would far rather swap it for the old flowing robes chaos sorcerer.
The Merc is another 'okay' one I guess, completely inoffensive, but nothing special that makes it stand out in my eyes.
He might have choice of armament, pose is ok, the putty makes the weapons look askew. I dont like the loadout though, its a waste of a good pose for a halberdier.

That is almost certainly the Renegada, her armour is very dark elf, I was expecting less armoured-ballgown and more battle-bodice though.

Remastered, the orange original was the same miniatures but a first rough cast.
Gorechild wrote: LOVE IT!! Chaos Warrior.

I liked the earlier chaos warriors, we are getting fresh sculpts for the game, but they have their chaos warriors done perfectly now, so why change the basic profile.
What seems to be the finalised version of the fat zombie woman
Spoiler:
As I said before, it strikes me as such a characterful model that would feel odd if you saw it more than once in a mission/campaign. Its not a bad mini, but when there are so few zombies in the set, having one that can't really be used repeatedly limits GM's a little. In the same way that if the 'insane mage' hero died in a quest, it would be jarring from a story telling perspective if the same model reappeared in the next room.
From my perspective that zed is very scenario specific it seems, notice the keys on her belt. As a housekeeper that is probably important.
So I will use the model to signify a target zombie to be attacked and looted, zombies arent generally loot monsters in fantasy games and only 'drop' quest loot.
For my regular zeds I will get a couple of sprues of GW and Mantic zombies and be done with it, so I don't mind that these miniatures are overly specific.
For me I am most excited for the terrain, you can literally get everything else from either GZ's existing line, reaper, mierce...you get the idea, but modular dungeon terrain to the standard we have seen here is RARE for the cost of this game.
Definitely a big influence for me. I mentioned this way back during the crowdfund campaign. I bought one level 3 for the miniatures, then added a second level 1 because it was the most cost effective way of getting more terrain, upgrading that to a second level 3 for a double dose of miniatures.
The wardrobes were the clincher for me.
Comments from the time:
Orlanth wrote: I bought an extra 'furniture pack' and the bold teenagers for 70 Euro with half an hour left on the clock.
Thank you Pacific for the heads up on the timing window, I had all day to look over what I wanted. I was tempted to be in for another 110 Euros but thought better of it for my wallets health.
As for the furniture pack. I didnt see the point in buying one for 49 Euro, especially with any monster packs etc when the entire game costs 65 and has a lot of cool stuff. But depending on the quality of the rules the 65 Euro set will be my set for the game, and the 110 Euro set will be the one scavenged for parts.
I wonder how many bought this just for the minis, I am not yet sure I did, I like games like this, love Descent, but I found the original Heroquest dumb and simplistic.
Another mini, this time the Bounty Hunter, she even has a little pet.
Spoiler:
And still no official word from Gamezone on when shipping starts, but if you want the latest rumours here they are:
ForjaYDesvan have said in one of the videos that they believe the game will be in their hands by the end of august.
(I still remember back in january some similar comments by them saying that it would arrive in february or march at the most...)
On the other hand a user called Sagres has commented on another forum that his contacts tell him it will slide to late september early october, and Sagres as been pretty much proven right most of the times he has said anything about this project.
Orlanth wrote: Dakka would like to know what else Sagres has said if he is a good source.
Nothing that would do you any good right now.
He mostly comes out with info to disprove false or misleading rumours about HQ25 that start to spread thru the forums.
I'll give you an example, at one time it was commented that GZ had already part of the boards and cards printed and stored in another warehouse.
Sagres came out and said plainly that GZ does not have any other warehouse and that not a single card or board had been printed yet because GZ were still talking with 3 different printing companies and had not chosen which one would be used.
A couple of months latter an interview with GZ mentioned that it would take a full month to print, sort and get all the cards ready to put in the final boxes and that that process had not yet started because they had not sent the final files to the printers.
Sagres also described the dwarf with the mask and crossbow before it was seen anywhere else.
Obviously the sooner we get hold of our copies the better, but I've got past the point of caring about when it comes. As long as everything meets the high standards we've seen so far and its a playable game (or at least a suitable basis to house rule something that works for my gaming group), I'll be happy.
I'm just hoping for it to appear some time this year.
I really like the bounty hunter, the mini itself is simple yet interesting and if its coupled with some cool rules for the kestrel (?) it will be great fun to use.

As with all Mantic rulesets Dungeon Saga will be free to download, as it is a squared tile based dungeon bash you should be able to convert up easily enough to the downloaded ruleset. Mantic will be providing stats for the creratures in its core line of miniatures, so there will be plenty of profiles for baddies to stock a dungeon with. Bonus if Mantic include character creation rules which is not a given.
You can also download the Descent rules for free but would need to make your own character and monster profiles and rig up an Overlord deck so that might be more tricky.
If you want Heroquest for the RPG miniatures (recommended) but don't trust the ruleset to be good (which I think is shrewd) then you are covered.
However, who knows Gamezone might be decent games designers as well as sculptors, Heroquest 25th might be a blast.

Good that she has a blunt weapon for subduing rather than killing her quary.

I know all too well that there are a lot of flaws to the original HQ, but having grown up with it, I would be devastated if the rules were completely overhauled. I'm hoping that HQ25 fixes at least some of the issues with the original, not that it makes it into a completely different dungeon crawler. Added depth and functionality would be great, but for me to truly be happy it still needs to feel like I'm playing HeroQuest. If it doesn't I think I'll just use the new mini's and scenery with the original rules I've spent the last 15 years home brewing, I just hope all of the character sheets and cards still keep that as a possibility.

Not met any actual Heroquest fans on this thread so far funnily enough, its all been about the miniatures.
No doubt they exist but when I mentioned quite frequently what my expectations for the rules were it gained no response.
For I the further they are from the original the better, however we could both get what we want if the game has 'classic' and 'advanced' rules, with the latter set bringing the depth of play the old heroquest rules couldn't really provide.
There is bad molding on the back of the neck of the Swordmaster.
However I love the pose, how he hold the cloak ready to use it in his play. Also the expression, age lines, moustache its an elven Ramirez.
Chaos Warrior is standard generic and same high quality.
The Sorcerer is a proper barbarian sorcerer, less robes, more chains. I actually like it even though I prefer the other one. Definiately looks like the unit sorcerer for the chaos warriors and thus the other guy wilding the pick must be either Morcar or Zargon. Trouble is I hate that miniature.
The Choas Warrior is ok, but the hard shadow under the pauldrons is too obvious.
As for the Jester, nice face expression, but pointless miniature, especially if it reuse as a basic mook over and over. It would be fine if there were ten commoner zombies of different types, a couple of peasants, a blacksmith, a peddler, then it would blend in and lokm like a village had been overrun, but with only four zeds they need to be more generic.
Been quiet since the last batch of reveals, showing size comparison videos as filler.
However I want to briefly discuss this:
Yet another vampiress, as with many the shroud doesn't cover the face on this miniature. I think it will be easily and more fun to
paint this way. However look at the neck, the shroud is still there because the fabric folds are there. Looks to me like this needs
carefully filing away. Point is how, no one has done so though all but one of the painters have ignored the shrouded face effect
so far.
Could it be they were just lazy, or is there a hidden difficulty in reaching in to clean up the neckline. What do you think?
I don't think they should recast it at all, I think its one of the best models we've seen, its just going to require a lot more skill to paint than the rest of the models. She's designed as being hidden under a sheet, if you can paint sheer fabrics or nail the shading required to make that look good, this will probably end up being be the best looking model in the box. These people seem to have just tried to take the easiest way out, no conversion and no difficult blending.
I'd be really interested to see a model where somebody actually has converted it, the only issue I could potentially see would be where the hair comes over the left shoulder. You might need to cut away quite a bit of material there to give you a normal sized neck.
This thread has been quiet for nearly a week. The YouTube videos are only showing paintjobs of already seen miniatures, and frankly not very good ones for showcasing purposes.
Anyway trawling through foreign language site at the moment and found some recent comments of interest:

Hello
We know that you are very tired of the policy of non-communication undertaken by Game Zone. We talked to them a few days ago and they said they are in the process of packaging. The law protects you if you consider that ultimately Game Zone will not deliver its rewards, but it is not the case, because it will.........Of course, for our conversation, we realized that the last shipments will begin this summer...........shed some light on all this based on the info we have........In summary by the end of September......start sending

Hi Everybody,
I am new to this forum, but thankful to find someone besides me interested in the outcome of the Hero Quest game! I backed at a high level so that I could get all of the goodies, and am worried I am going to see nothing! I live in the US, and am worried in reading bits and pieces from this forum that I may be out of luck due to where I am standing on the planet - that would be a bummer! While invested a lot of my finances into this game, I'm not worried about the money. I just don't want to miss out on the game!! I had the original before selling it in a yard sale years ago during a move after I got married, and thought this would be a great replacement (and upgrade!).
I spend a lot of time playing Last Night on Earth with my adult kids when they swing by to visit, and have been looking forward to sharing this game with them!!
I have a couple of questions for those "in the know!"
1) I know this is only opinion, but I am curious regarding your opinions on whether or not I am going to actually get to hold and play with these wonderful pieces of plastic anytime in the future!
2) How is it that someone is actually able to find and share updates about the game? I have been watching the "official" site for months with not a word. When I emailed the company, they basically said everything is happening - and to watch the main site for updates.
Anyhow.... it's terrific to have the opportunity to just chat about this with others who understand the situation!
Thanks!
I'm pretty sure you will get the game (eventually), if this was intended to be any sort of scam they would not have done as much as they clearly have
(although I'd love more formal information from them on top of the videos)
most of the info here seems to come from our members who have at least some ability to search for info in the Spanish forums (or have bookmarked the youtube channel)
1) I know this is only opinion, but I am curious regarding your opinions on whether or not I am going to actually get to hold and play with these wonderful pieces of plastic anytime in the future!
It is not certain, legal problems are a secondary issue as despite what some very angry people are saying on some other sites, this is not a counterfeit product as it has a legal origin. Ignore the threats of legal action against backers from Moon Design, they have no basis in law. buying this game is not 'smuggling' but buying 'black market' goods.
the main problem is from Gamezone itself, they have not been very competent by all accounts, and have even scheduled another break over the summer. They are way too laid back for a project of this size, and have not thought it though at all.
That being said as we have seen they are working on it, we have seen the results and the quality is very high. I believe stories that most of the work is done, we already have seen a year ago bags full of finished product from the early casts. Gamezone are making production qualities of each product just after design stage, and have been long at it, so your copy of the game is largely complete and the miniatures earmarked to send to you are in large plastic picker boxes alongside mine and everyone elses, when the last miniature are done and the printing complete it can all be assembled and shipped to you. This should comfort you a bit, to know that most of your stuff already exists, know this to be true.
This project is a worry, its not a cause for despair.
2) How is it that someone is actually able to find and share updates about the game? I have been watching the "official" site for months with not a word. When I emailed the company, they basically said everything is happening - and to watch the main site for updates.
It's difficult, Gamezone say exceptionally little and irregularly, I don't even bother looking to them as a source. Instead I look at the work of 3rd party painters. I take a look here daily, and at Forja Y Desvan's channel on Youtube, I dont speak a word of Spanish, and am waiting mainly for new pictures. We have seen about 80% of the miniatures from a level 3 set so far. An autumn release is achievable, but then we don't know how much stumbling around Gamezone have to do before they get organised.

Thanks! I am definitely keeping my fingers crossed. After reading the comments in this forum I'm less concerned regarding GZM completing the production than I am about customs intercepting my order... I am dying to get my hands on this!!

Yep, Gamezone have been accused of scamming, and I agree with Orlando, this is no scam. Those who say it is have no evidence and the production evidence speaks against them, but are mostly long on bile for some reason known only to themselves and have a highly accusatory attitude towards this project.
This phenomenon is not on Dakka, but if you searched for info on Heroquest elsewhere you might have found some. Hence the reassurances being necessary.
All in all we are fairly positive about delivery and quality on this project here on Dakka, lets just hope we are right. This isnt endemic, Dakka is a grognard forum with plenty of people with axers to grind on products or games companies, especially GW, and some of those who hold high hopes for Heroquest have low opinions on other things and have no qualms about talking about it. Generally though we have good reason to do so, and frankly a lot of the bile directed against Gamzeone elsewhere had no justification for it. I don't know Gamezone, but I met enough people who know them personally to know that they are friendly approachable and honest, and do some exceptionally high quality work. They are however short on business savvy, which has been baselessly misconstrued by some as an intent to deceive.
Thanks! I am definitely keeping my fingers crossed. After reading the comments in this forum I'm less concerned regarding GZM completing the production than I am about customs intercepting my order... I am dying to get my hands on this!!
We can talk strategy on this closer to the time.
However first an intercept is unlikely for grey market goods, those who bluster about legal action are moving on the channels used for targeting black market goods, which is very different in US law, and those who confuse the two are not being honest about their legal rights to seize and confiscate, let alone threaten customs fines.
If seizure is likely you can ask for delivery to a Spanish address and arrange a reshipment. For best results make the goods legally second hand. This can be done by visibly removing shrink wrapping and internal packaging that is factory sealed. Once it is a second hand good it will have an arbitrary customs value, and can be legally labeled by classification rather than by actual product name aka "second hand boardgame". This is legal so long as you make the goods legally second hand, if they are not obviously 'used' then it is fraud to do so, and your cargo will be seized. Second hand does not mean damaged though, and need not mean fully assembled either.
If you intend your copy to be a gift this will not help you.
I will definitely be reaching out should I experience shipping issues with my package. I'm hoping everything goes smoothly, and we are all just celebrating soon - when we aren't immersed in a game of Hero Quest, of course!

See, it's your thinking that this is tied to the original game that's going to be the IP ammunition if Hasbro actually decides to go after GZ. Who knows if they will -- under a million could be less in sales than their latest Monopoly game makes in a week. Orlanth and Orlando can interpret US law as much as they want, but they're not going to reimburse you if you don't get the game. While Hasbro hasn't acted yet, Moon Design did to protect their ownership of the HeroQuest name in the USA, resulting in KickStarter taking down GZ's crowdfunding project. Start looking into an address drop, but GZ could also repackage the game contents, not include the rules, put everything in one of their GameZone mailing boxes and (my this armchair is comfy) maybe skirt the law that way.
Anyway, just as the armchair lawyers on both sides of the IP law didn't predict Moon Design's legal actions, Lazanos announced they're suing GZ for non-compliance, based on patron complaints. Any confirmation by the Spanish-speaking armchair lawyers? I'm just picking my jaw off the floor here.
EDIT: fwiw, Most legal posturing in the USA doesn't go to court, so I'm hoping this is just Lazanos putting pressure on GZ to be more communicative. The words, "class action" in this translation may also mean something entirely different in both the Spanish language and legal meaning in Spain.
Things are rolling. As I have said on several occasions I have been complaining to Lánzanos (plus Gamezone) about their treatment. Well, Lánzanos answered.
All patrons read it carefully
"Hello Jose Manuel,
We will take action on the matter. During this month you are going to receive a mail inviting all Lánzanos patron Heroquest to join a class action lawsuit against Game Zone for breach of all commitments. Of course, Lánzanos bear all the costs of the process and perform witnessing as an accusation. Let's start the mechanism.
how to guarantee we never get the game - sue GameZone. Very surprised to read that if its true. They are late but so are many crowdfunded games, their communication is none existent and there is no excusing that but at least 3rd parties have have shown that work has been done on the miniatures, the printed materials are another matter. What exactly will legal action achieve? We won't get the game any quicker in fact it's more likely we don't get it, we wont get our money back that's most likely been used on development/production it just seems like a lose/lose situation.
This has always been a bit of a gamble from the start and I knew that and went in with the attitude of I may lose my money on this one so I won't be signing up for any legal action against GZ at this time. If we are still here another year I might think differently but its to early yet IMO.
This legal action from Lanzanos is somewhat unexpected, I'll wait and see if it's real of just someone having fun on facebook.
At this time, the only possible grounds for legal action from Lanzanos is breach of contract since Gamezone has not delivered anything to backers yet, and they signed a contract with Lanzanos stating that rewards would be delivered.
In other news, just recently 5 members of that same facebook group visited Gamezone and were with Dionisio for about 2 hours.
They reported that the miniatures production was at 95%, and that some of the cardboard stuff were already being printed.
They saw other minis that had not been seen in any video yet, being delighted by the male elf and the stone guardians and saying that all the minis they saw looked better in person than they did in the videos.
The giant articulated serpent and the drakks were the only ones still not ready for production because the computer renders of those were still being improved.
They also confirmed that the machines are working non stop in at least two shifts since they were there when one shift ended and the next workers arrived.
Reading what these guys wrote gives the impression that they went in with the torch and pitchfork mentality but were completely won over by all they saw and heard.
I've given up trying to predict when the game will arrive, but I do believe that it will arrive!
(hopefully sometime before christmas)
I don't see how anyone thinks this could help, unless they had been relying solely on the official updates and assumed the project was already dead in the water. In which case, why now? why not 6 months ago?
I hope nothing comes of this, after all the discussion of legal action being the end of this project. I would be fuming if it was because of a few impatient backers.
See, it's your thinking that this is tied to the original game that's going to be the IP ammunition if Hasbro actually decides to go after GZ. Who knows if they will -- under a million could be less in sales than their latest Monopoly game makes in a week.
I doubt that is a factor, the name enough and points of similarity will be the issues.
Orlanth and Orlando can interpret US law as much as they want, but they're not going to reimburse you if you don't get the game.
I have interpreted nothing, I have merely echoed what US law actually says, via website written by lawyers with knowledge on these issues.
Reimbursement is not the issue here, the issue is Moon Designs claims these goods are counterfeit. "Counterfeit" has a specific definition in law and refers specifically to black market goods. This game is not a black market commodity.
While Hasbro hasn't acted yet, Moon Design did to protect their ownership of the HeroQuest name in the USA, resulting in KickStarter taking down GZ's crowdfunding project.
Kickstarter are a company not a legal body. Moon Design complained Kickstarter acted on the complaint, it says remarkably little about the legal issues involved. Gamezone did not defend the claim so Kickstarter acted prudently.
Start looking into an address drop, but GZ could also repackage the game contents, not include the rules, put everything in one of their GameZone mailing boxes and (my this armchair is comfy) maybe skirt the law that way.
I doubt that will happen. In fact it will attract legal attention.
Lazanos announced they're suing GZ for non-compliance, based on patron complaints. Any confirmation by the Spanish-speaking armchair lawyers? I'm just picking my jaw off the floor here.
Thast isnt a surprise Gamezone has been non-communicative and has an amateur outlook to the business.
EDIT: fwiw, Most legal posturing in the USA doesn't go to court,
That can be read two ways, either the posturing doesn't hold water, or the recipient of legal enforcement documents caves.
Threat and bluster are a major factor in law.
so I'm hoping this is just Lazanos putting pressure on GZ to be more communicative. The words, "class action" in this translation may also mean something entirely different in both the Spanish language and legal meaning in Spain.
I am very much of the opinion that this is a shot across the bows. The class action would be real, it would just be withdrawn. Its Lanzanos saying 'we want to take steps on Gamezones non-delivery', forcing Gamezone to wake up and communicate is part of this.

a hug"
Yep Lanzanos acting on complaints by backers. Lanzanos has given reassurances in the recent past to backers, (link in earlier post) based on Gamezones own progress. But has to act based on the companies total lack of cummincations.
gpires wrote: This legal action from Lanzanos is somewhat unexpected, I'll wait and see if it's real of just someone having fun on facebook.
It could be a hoax, and I hadnt thought of that, but a lawsuirt threat makes sense.
At this time, the only possible grounds for legal action from Lanzanos is breach of contract since Gamezone has not delivered anything to backers yet, and they signed a contract with Lanzanos stating that rewards would be delivered.
a lot of people are getting impatient, stamping their feet and calling Gamzone and Lanzanos. Lanzanos cant ignore this or it faces ruin to its own reputation.
If the project was half finished mess I could image the need for this, but this far in people should just be more patient.
In other news, just recently 5 members of that same facebook group visited Gamezone and were with Dionisio for about 2 hours.
They reported that the miniatures production was at 95%, and that some of the cardboard stuff were already being printed.
So its working Gamezone realise they cant sit in their towers and gazxe at clouds (while working on Heroquest). This was a smart and frankly inevitable counter. Bring enough of those who have been ignored into the Gamezone factor and let them see the progress. I expect images on Gamezones websites, or Lanzaons within hours. In fact I will go check after this post to see if they are there.
They saw other minis that had not been seen in any video yet, being delighted by the male elf and the stone guardians and saying that all the minis they saw looked better in person than they did in the videos.
Not unreasonable, Gamezone has handed the preview miniatures to select fans rather than actual studio painters. Not only are the piantjobs largely amateur, the video tech is too.
The giant articulated serpent and the drakks were the only ones still not ready for production because the computer renders of those were still being improved.
They also confirmed that the machines are working non stop in at least two shifts since they were there when one shift ended and the next workers arrived.
As stated and beleived Gamezone are making it as they go along. Hopefully now Lanzanos will give Gamezone some time. We need to buy Gamezone the time by asking backers to be patient and not stamp feet and say I -want I want. If they continue to do so and Lanzaons feels they have to back them this can all end in ruin.
Conversely we need to bitchslap Gamezone into knowing that they cant think, fans have given us a breather - time for siesta; and not bother with communications.
Reading what these guys wrote gives the impression that they went in with the torch and pitchfork mentality but were completely won over by all they saw and heard.
Good. But there are hundred of ex-kiddies who cant trqavel to Sevilla, I hope they get the message and learn some patioence.
Dakka has been rather good on this thread on this note.
With as many of us that must be contacting GZ with questions and concerns, it seems it would be easier for them to provide a singular response via posting on their website in order to reassure everybody. If they are generating all of those character videos, why not just post those with "hang in there" comments for the backers in general. It would sure have a calming effect just to see the company update its website.
Gamezone are not making any character videos, favoured fans are. I call them 'fans' because the people doing the videos have amateur equipment and showcase amateur paintjobs, though at least one is a pro painter when you pay him to be one.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Message I placed on the Lanzanos website just now:
Lanzanos,
Sorry I do not speak Spanish, autotranslate provided.
I do not know why Lanzanos is pursuing Gamezone in the courts, or if this is what you are actually doing, or just a rumour.
However with the project being as late as it is and with a lack of communications from Gamezone some backers might
complain to you to take action.
I would like to know if you are indeed taking legal action, and if so why.
As a backer may I ask tthat you give Gamezone exrtra time, the game by all accounts is almost done, and while some are
complaining due to lateness others are resolved to be patient.
I would not want to see everything fall apart due to a lawsuit. You may be acting on behalf of disappointed backers, but I am a backer too, and like many others am happy to wait a while longer for my game.
Thank you
Lanzanos
Gracias
We need an actual Spanish speaker to speak out though. The above autotranslate will probably hurt the eyes, declare war, admit to any number of crimes etc etc...... The things I do for the community.
2. Gamezone will not be posting updates until eveything is finished. This info however predates the Lanzanos legal threat.
3. Gamezone is still designing and updating the rules, and thus has not placed the rulebooks out to print.
4. Almost all the miniatures are done, excepting the large serpent, the Drakks and a cage terrain piece.
5. The cage is massive, size of a mobile phone, it also had to be redesigned due to breakage.
6. The large serpent is in several parts, the indication is that the serpent can be chopped into segments as part of the rules.
7. The box is very large, similar to that from Cthulhu wars.
8. The game includes a dice tower.
9. Now this sounds really cool. There is a golem miniature with a rotating head, depending on which face is showing it becomes a ranged, magic or melee monster.

Date? Where's the date? Email this only proves that a third says the automaker says that by the end of September, am patron Layer 3 modular board and intrepid young and I have communicated by GameZone date. Sorry, I did not think so.

September possibly be why they are still creating figures ...Dungeon

I only meant to inform, not bothering anyone. They have already been given the date of spring and the end of September seems a plausible date. Once again I apologize if I've upset someone.
A greeting and thanks for comment

"Manufacturer" (Dionysius of Gamezone) also confirmed in November 2014 that they could not deliver the game in December because the price of printing is going out of hand ... still not the printed product, so you see that no credibility, hehe.
As it is known:
-Quedan Least 20 3D still thumbnails
-Other 4 (the drakks and tiller) whose design is not yet finished
-The Letters and the rules are almost finished, but the translations are still half. So it is the whole process of printing, paper and cards. Dash is supposed to be already advanced
-The Image of the box gave problems, which is not yet finished.
-In Addition to all this, the whole process would still be saved, packaging, packaging and testing before they can even begin to raise shipments. Considering that during part of August is vacation* .... gamezone September dates are not optimistic, if not impossible. It is calculated rather December 2015, if no unforeseen, of course. Answer
[*Orlanth's Note - This is the second recent comment about a production break in August, during which time the company will be effectively shut down.]

Good for the good of the patience of many (including myself) I hope the September date is not a utopia.
Thank you very much for commenting on a Wave.

I was visiting last Monday gamezone and talking directly with Dionisio. When asked if the game would come in December, we said before. When? Before. That was all we could get him. With what we saw there that needed to be done and what it told us, I see end of September at least very, very optimistic. And do not worry you do not bother anyone for trying to inform the contrary, it is appreciated. The discomfort that many people have is rather with someone else. Regards.

The email sent him a distributor to a store and I could take the previous picture is clear permission. I think it might be true and I hope it is because I want to play Heroquest and XD. What you told us about the date Dionisio giving distributors was that the dates had not and that if any was giving distributors at their own risk for a period calculated own distributors, not that I had given him. Moreover, we said no departure would advance until the truck were loading the first box at the door. I mean that ...And nothing to write, all patrons and pre're as crazy about some information, some more pissed, some less and others with blind trust in gamezone. But all seek some information from anywhere.
Transcript of visit to Gamezone factory by a guest:
Hello everyone, I am Alberto and I was one of those who went to the meeting with the factory Dionisio Gamezone the 27.07.2015.
I will discuss everything that I can think relevant to the visit of the many questions I asked Dionisio along with my other colleagues.
I will not answer any questions by private that I can not devote time and I'm very busy. But I think all you ask me answer in this post in the comments.
Surely repeat something exactly like my colleagues, sorry if I still do but I would tell all.Let's do this:
- Dionisio behaved perfectly fine with us since the beginning. He greeted early and decided we doubt for 2 hours.
- The only official channel of reliable information is Heroquestclassic.com/es. All other sources are completely disposable and probably not true.
- A soon official update is not ruled out, but it is one that will be provided only when all finished.
- Still not all work done but very advanced. Dionisio daily decisions to conform to the final model. He literally said "I hope the quality speak for itself".
- The 3D scenery elements shall be of a plastic ultrarresistente. Dionisio auditioned him to the ground and not a single notch. The level of detail obtained is exceptional.
- The only piece of terrain to end the cage (which bars being so thin, you end up breaking even and have not designed at all). This cage is removable and configurable.
- Figures, characters, monsters are 95% of production. And work has already started printing.
- The format of the case is monstrous. A wheelbarrow to carry needed haha. We saw the prototype on a table compared with a walkie talkie. We thought it was a mobile, so imagine how big it is. I would compare it with one that more elongated Chtulhu wars.
- Dionisio plans to sell a part of a protective affordable to transport thumbnails (as it was going much of the budget) panchas price.
- The color of the heroes will be red for 8 basis heroes and gray for the 15 + intrepid young. This is because the dyes that make the resin properties and delays lose much production work (as the vast majority lost or broke detail). However, if you plan to sell a small boat primer of the same shade of red that basic heroes to all the heroes have the same color. This is simply for those who want and will not be expensive. To those who go to paint minis, this news can not forget because it serves you.
- Young intrepid already have figures and are very accomplished. The intrepid young boy is called Teo (Teo leaves dungeon lol).
- The second primordial chaos sorcerer (for level 3) and also has its figure (it is totally different to the basic sorcerer) and power is to summon and control the trolltopo during a shift. Then as it goes haywire.
- Dungeon master screen is over and we have seen. It is amazing and includes a bottom flap to roll the dice below the screen.
- There will be a tower of dice included in the box and installed on the screen. But if this first design done and you can buy for grabs.
- There will be periodic expansions Heroquest and will be a live game, has very clear dionisio first expansion in mind (we have no details about it). The format will be very different from the base game, the content: rules scenarios added a pack of miniatures, some tiles and letters. That is, they will not be mega giant expansions as the basic box, but something lighter and constant.- The dracks be civilized and beasts own culture and religion. They will not be wild monsters despite having an intimidating appearance. Still not the final model has not been achieved and ornamentation of the armor like Dionisio. What he has taught us cool and on track. Take plates rather than protection will catch ornaments and weapons and fight very differently to humans and humanoid monsters.
- The tiller consists of three basic parts: head, tail and torso (sometimes repeated). That is, it will be a monster pasillero, which will be assembled with powerful magnets and you can change the position. It is not over the model, but the trend we've seen is on track. Your body is destructible (it is as divided into parts). In each part to make way destroy you receive a stream of acid and you can find objects and things in your body. The latter seemed curious.
- This is more a curiosity than a story: Isabel is there and my people. The working groups are made up Gamezone 3 person and only one of them is geek. There are morning shift and afternoon. This all day producing.
- As for the cards. We have seen the final art of many of them. Both the back of the card as illustrated. They will contain the minimum possible text and effects of the letter (the harm caused and the attack dice in the case of weapons) will be integrated into the illustration itself. That is, we will not see the typical box of explanatory text. Nor titles appear obvious, I mean. Dionisio said that if it was really necessary to explain what you see if it's so obvious:
- The letter is an illustration of "double ax" Do you really have to explain that it is a double-edged ax when it looks perfectly what is?It is somewhat curious that some will not like. To me if I liked the integration of text in art. Moreover artifact cards and such things as relics if you have a flavor text.- The operating rules will be the Dungeon Master of an elongated format. That is, as when you print a copy shop a book double page per sheet (only the manual double page sheet will not be). Let me explain again, occupy less space for the dungeon master is not so far removed from the board (since it is assumed that the book will have the following screen)
- Yes, the weapons master is an elf with a mustache. Fully confirmed.
- Testing groups are people close to the company and especially people from various countries or bilingual. In this regard, nothing to add.
- Translations, other than that will be good has added nothing more.- The rules are not finished and has not released Dionisio pledge on this. That is, we can not say anything on this subject. It makes it, and keeps changing things constantly. He says it is not their major concern as it is working hard on them and they never stop improving.
- The exodus of patrons who leave the project were completely denied. We have a specific figure but we can not comment at all is significant digits. If orders have increased, however.
- The dates that give the stores are approximations that make the distributors and are not concrete. For the Germans, you need to know the exact total cost plus shipping and an approximate date or not buy anything. Therefore Gamezone distributor in Germany gives these dates but at their own discretion (is outside the company).
- We have received the 5 figures went to the interview. Bags were improvised in which a goblin, the housekeeper, the barbarian veteran and hero ranged from wandering blacksmith and the insane wizard included. A total of 4, and then some more and we saw Dionisio would offer us. We were not intending to catch minis but at all times we let freedom. I myself was one minute in office Dionisio all prototypes and minis alone. That is, that the good faith with which we went was rewarded with trust and some miniature.
- The metal parts of the miniatures is based on durability. In some parts the resin was so thin it was suffering risk of damage. Take the example of the Paladin I had in my hands. His coat was thin translucent what it was and sword resin is easily bent (but then regained form). Therefore, there will be a piece of metal
- Famous dice into a cylinder, incredibly work. In the first run I went symbol HQ.
- Finally, and I'm tired of writing left a mine valuation (and I think shared by my colleagues) unofficial HeroQuest be ready when the 25 anniversaries: Before December. There are still things to do and whatever is better is welcome. It does not mind waiting a few more months provided that the quality is as good as we've seen.Gentlemen ... It's all a past and see it all right. I think worth it.Greetings to all and not eager thirst. Ye no longer believe most things Internet.
Visit Gamezone part II
Following the previous post, I still like I said at the same points he had put on his Joaquín López extending them.
So we continue with previously unseen models. The elf think we left everyone happy, miniature piece, very dynamic, with lots of details (also Joaquin Lopez, was obsessed with him, ha ha ha.) The stone guardians have a curious air and Maya we really liked was the detail of the triangular gem head, as explained Dioni, depending on the position of the gem, you can make magic attacks, melee or distance or even explode. The illustration of the fa with two swords only saw Joaquin Lopez, others were watching other models in the factory. We saw such Zargon also very detailed with a fireball in his hand and the other pointing the finger. A position also dynamic. In short ... the quality of the models is very, very, very good. Of course, we also saw a lot of models that were already out in videos, like goblins, orcs, trolls mole, many of the heroes, the vampire and zombie maiden among others. I must say that the videos and pictures do not do them justice. Typical of "hand earn much" ... as to my regret I must say that is true. The minis are more stylized than it looks in the videos and even impressed with the thinness of the legs of the vampire (eye, still do not like the mini, but the legs are not as tochas as they appear in the videos). In short, apart from the individual tastes of each, the quality of the minis is extraordinary and in this respect we will not just complaints.
Another point was the work being done and how much is left of minis, printing and delays. As I go around ... the work of minis is 95% according to Dionisio told us and as we could see, so. In miniatures they have almost everything done told us that manufactured between 9,000 and 12,000 models per machine a day and you are left with very few, those that remain have already outlines, are left to produce in mass except tiller and Draks following mulling over the design, as I said in the previous post. All the others have them packaged and ready for when going to put them in boxes (and have a egg boxes filled to the brim minis). The press is more complicated, there obviously do nothing of the press, so we could not see the progress, but Dionisio spread on the subject. It is sent to the printer and all or nearly all. The text is integrated in some letters, while others have their explanatory space. He assured us that the printing colors are much more vivid and impressive to see them on the computer. We also said that the press does all the print job and sends nothing until you are all done. That is, they will not send parts, first box, then letters, etc ... but in the same package and send it all together ready to start riding. So until you are ready to the last print job, the printer will not leave. Of course say that the work of illustrators is, if anything, equal or better than the minis. And last possible delays. He said that in a production process every day piles problems that can stop or slow down production, appear totally unpredictable. As an example he told us about the revision of the machines that are producing as much for so many hours to do periodic reviews and recently the mechanic told him to check one of them had to stop three days, with the loss of production. That leads and asked the mechanic to spend the next week to finish the run. Quite out of these problems when working tirelessly in two shifts (and done, eh? That when we were there close one shift and went to work the following afternoon). That's one of the reasons why he does not want to date, because if a machine breaks down in summer, with how hard it is to find spare parts on vacation, if the machine must be stopped one month, this entails an unforeseen delay and of course you would have to delay the date given. For this and other reasons not to give an approximate date or concrete or. Although we insist on it and already discuss in another post. I do not feel your fingers.
Got the gist, but would really appreciate a Spanish speaker to 'fix it for ya'.
It looks to me from trawling several sites that impatient backers forced Lanzanos' hand with regards to the lawsuit. Lanzanos doesnt have much choice at the moment but to threaten action, Gamezone havent delivered, its overdue and therefor the recovery procedure is pretty much an automatic process, Lanzanos has to defend backers interests. Thing is we are backers too.
I wrote them an email asking for them to hold off on any legal proceedings on the grounds that some backers would prefer to give Gamezone a chance. IF THIS IS TO WORK I CANT BE THE ONLY ONE TALKING. Impatient backers have complained a lot about Gamezone, because its not in their company ethos to do the paperwork and communications. Yet we do know it is in their ethos to work hard on the game itself, and we have seen its not a fake project. I need other backers, frankly all of us from Dakka to petition Lanzanos to give Gamezone until end of October to show proof of intent to deliver.
In recent days it has developed a controversy arose a private message maintained between the platform and a user of our network and we will try to clarify things to stop rumors that do not benefit either party (or GM, or the patron or Lánzanos).
The platform has not initiated any legal action nor plan to do so for delays that are suffering Heroquest game delivery. Nor it has issued official information. Lánzanos disagrees with the policy of no information or insufficient information of Game Zone regarding the progress of the game but its development continues and we know that there are many people waiting to receive it. Of course, the platform will always be on the side of patrons, without incurring damage to the creator or to deliver the product, but always support the decisions taken patrons regarding their economic support to crowdfunding. This unconditional support to patrons may become economic, communicative or otherwise, depending on the case.
Slinky wrote: E-mail received from Lanzanos (auto-translated):
Sorry but I have been rather busy lately and don't have much time to help with the translations.
Just stopped by to see if there was any news and all this seems to be a little chaotic.
Lots of contradictory information flying left and right.
A quick translation of the email:
"Good afternoon,
In recent days it there has been some controversy regarding a private message maintained between the platform and a user of our network and we will try to clarify things to stop rumors that do not benefit either party (not Gamezone, not the backers and not Lánzanos).

The Lánzanos team"
The people at Lanzanos seem to be reasonable enough, both from this email and from other emails back when the project was still funding.
My advice is to wait for september because, down here, everything is pretty much stopped or at half-speed for the summer holidays anyway.
Still, no regrets for sending the email to Lanzanos. It could have all been an ugly mess.
Only half right. This doesn't look like a complete hoax.
The "private message maintained between the platform and a user of our network" looks like a Lanzanos employee stating an opinion on HQ25 that did not match the official position of the company.
So, it looks like there are those inside Lanzanos that think they should be doing, or at least preparing to do, something about GZ, but the company's current official position is to wait for now, but reserving the right to take appropriate actions at a latter time if needs be.
First I will adress the miniature sculpts from my perspective, so of course your mileage may vary.
Frankly for evil wizards Gamezones previous work is superior, there are some excellent evil sorcerers and wizards in the Gamezone Chaos army range which far exceed the quality of this sculpt in my opinion. We saw the prototype Wizard of Evil sculpt for this on page 25. I didn't like the sculpt then and don't like it now, I dont like the headgear, the pick, the clothes, anything frankly. Yes its executed well, as always, but I just don't dig the style. I suppose it had to happen sometime, how many ranges have we seen where a person can like every single model bar perhaps one or two. Rare that is. Still I hope the Chaos Sorcerer sculpt makes up. The Wizard of Good I do like alot, but to me he is more like a warrior priest than a wizard, especially as he seems to be armoured, albeit lightly . I will likely use him as such
Now onto the real topic these new minis raise. They appear to be late additions, neither of them are listed on any of the Lanzanos campaign lists. Here take a look:
I wonder if Gamezone have considered it safer to for for Wizard of Good and Wizard of Evil instead of Morcar and Zargon; because I cannot find any other wizards even on level 3 excepting the heroes and the Chaos Sorcerer. It would make sense as I doubt Gamezone has copyright on those names and unlike every other element they are directly lifted rather than changed to create points of dissimilarity.
However it could well be that this is another surprise add on or change.
As shown in the above link, Morcar and Zargon are promised as an add on for pre-order Retail copies (backer level 1's) so we might indeed be seeing brand new content. Gamezone might have backtracked on this promise and now offer a choice of these two wizards instread, but if so consider this. Morcar and Zargon are strongly implied to be both evil, and secondary bosses to the endboss She; one of the wizards showcased here is declarted to be not evil, and most is likely a friendly NPC encounter.
Furthermore, a quote from the fans who visited Gamezone from the previous page:
We saw such Zargon also very detailed with a fireball in his hand and the other pointing the finger.
So there is a fireball throwing Zargon, ok.
It is quite possible it is the cased that Gamezone have made two extra miniatures, the fans who visited the Gamezone factory wrote about a second Chaos Sorcerer for level 3, with a different sculpt and different rules, see middle of previous page. Our level 3 pledges have no record of getting two Chaos Sorcerers. So it is entirely possible these sculpts are in fact free extras. However they could also be separate content to be made available for purchase post release, and Gamezone need not offer these miniatures for free to backers, though I am hoping its part of the box of course. There is reason for this unusual hope it's not the first time we have received confirmation of getting more than was promised in the Lanzanos campaign, there was no mention of a dice tower, and Gamezone themselves highlighted the free room corners markers we will get. ( I am now wondering if they are holders for cardstock walls and the entire game is going 2.5D. ) I would not be surprised if it had, it appears Gamezone is wanting to offer us MOAR, and all they ask in turn is that we suffer a delayed release. I for one am more than happy with the arrangement, even if the project is now nine months overdue.
I believe that these two are unrelated to the crowd funding. If I recall correctly, preordering the basic game gets you a choice of one of these two exclusive models. So for the retail price of 110 euros you'd get the equivalent of the level 1 backers box set, plus one of the above. whereas for 110 euros, a backer gets the level 1 box, the 15 heroes and all the stretch goals.
It remains to be seen how 'exclusive' these models actually are though. I would fully expect them to be available separately shortly after everything else goes up on the webstore for individual purchase.
According to the link you get Zargon or Morcar with a retail copy.
according to those who visited Gamezone last month Zargon is a separate miniature quite distinct from those shown.
It makes sense that these figures are not part of the level 3, at least I wont need to pay extra for the Wizard of Evil model I dislike. Still crossing fingers they are a late addition like the dice tower, room corners, second chaos sorcerer and stone guardian revolving heads.
I also agree that they will most likely be available for sale later at GZ's webstore.
About the fireball throwing Zargon, maybe there is some mixup with the Primordial Chaos Sorcerer with rams horns that we saw back in page 24?
The description fits perfectly: "with a fireball in his hand and the other pointing the finger".
Right, so it indeed does look like they dropped Zargon and Morcar then, it would make sense to do so as there is no room for dissimilarity if they are included and not renamed.
The 'Zargon' seen could be one of the Chaos Sorcerers as you say. Checking on page 24 the description does fit your theory.
These two exclusive miniatures are therefore still included for level 3 backers because Morcar and Zargon were in the level 3 listing. For all this to make sense these two miniatures are to fully replace Morcar and Zargon, wherever listed, which means all level 3 pledges will receive them both, plus a choice of one or other for pre-orders.
Orlanth wrote: Right, so it indeed does look like they dropped Zargon and Morcar then, it would make sense to do so as there is no room for dissimilarity if they are included and not renamed.
As far as I can tell Morcar and Zargon will still be included with the level 3 crowdfunding and will be different from these two good and evil wizards and from the Primordial Chaos Sorcerer.
I believe that we have not seen Morcar or Zargon yet, and that the backer visiting the factory may have mistaken the Chaos Sorcerer for Zargon.
As for trying to find a way for this to make sense, I don't think that is fully possible.
Gamezone's logic seems to work very different than the rest of the world

Ok, the e-minis pre-order deal is new right, and includes the previews. The ones listed on Uk and German sites are older and say Zargon or Morcar. Gamezones own pre-order text was uploaded on Feb 2nd.
It stands to reason that Gamezone have indeed changed Morcar and Zargon, they know enough to have placed dissimilarity elsewhere yet have not informed their retailers already listing pre-orders of the change.
Gamezone making a necessary change and not informing retailers sounds plausible yes.
This could float either way.
As for trying to find a way for this to make sense, I don't think that is fully possible.

GPires
I cant argue with that. But it wont stop me trying to make sense of what I see.
This video from Jan this year includes the "MINIATURE EXCLUSIVA MAGO DEL MAL".
I dont need to understand Spanish to know what this means. Ok, so you are right, this doesnt look like a switcheroo, unless both Morcar and Zargon are examples of Mago del Mal, which to a large extent is true.
Why would Gamezone make exclusive miniatures for one retailer that are completely different from those they themselves sell or are available from German and UK pre-order retailers?
They are making unnecessary work for themselves and causing customer service problems when people want one of four miniatures options but can only buy from a selection of two from any single source.
If they have any connection to their silhouettes and are wizened robed guys with frail arms in clawing gestures, traditional cliche evil wizards then I will be happier than with what I have seen. Though the warrior monk/'Wizard of Good' would be a welcome addition to my connection, I am most taken with the sculpt frankly.
Assuming this is as you suggest. At least it means I wont have to try and make use of the rather sucky 'Mago Del Mal' miniature. Now I hope Zargon and Morcar don't suck either.
If they are sculpted and posed like the silhouettes suggest I will be very happy.
And to confirm German site is still offering Zargon and Morcar.
Orlanth wrote: Why would Gamezone make exclusive miniatures for one retailer that are completely different from those they themselves sell or are available from German and UK pre-order retailers?
Yet another rumor, but, if e-minis is getting special treatment from GZ, it's b/c e-mini's has been supporting GZ pre-HQ25, or encouraged GZ to do the HQ25 project, or something to that effect.
Then, yet another rumor, I read that e-mini's is unhappy with GZ's progress.
Rumour? Ok, I can go with that, but in fairness it is an extrapolation of what we can dig up for ourselves.
E-Minis get different freebie miniatures than other sites offering pre-order, including Gamezones.
At first I placed this logically to a change in policy of which miniatures will be provided, but from what gpires has shown and my own research into the timing this doesnt appear to be the case. E-minis has been promoting Good and Evil wizards before other sites made the Morcar/Zargon offer.
I am trying to get my head around that, and frankly I cant see a logical path through.
Now the entire pre-order websites thing could be 'rumour' in your eyes, due to the ultimate source, but I see no reason not to accept in good faith what third party retailers are saying they have been offered to sell.
Any sourcing on e-minis, who runs them and where they stand with Gamezone, especially as they are getting promises of exclusive content?
Orlanth wrote: Any sourcing on e-minis, who runs them and where they stand with Gamezone, especially as they are getting promises of exclusive content?
I think that it was said somewhere that E-minis is the official distributor in Spain, so that all the other stores in Spain have to buy from E-minis and not directly from Gamezone.
I can see that kind of exclusive contract to include better prices and some exclusive figures for themselves.
E-minis sells the preorder at 10% discount, meaning 99€, while Gamezone's webstore sells at 110€.
We have seen the sarcophagus insert similar to this this but AFAIK not the bier.
This isnt on the listings, we have seen all the golbins excvept sleepy guards, goblin king (on throne) and goblin leader.
This mini might not actually be for HQ25, listed anyway just in case.
Great news, even through they don't mention anything that we didn't already know
It may just be a coincidence, but it seems strange that after 4 months of complete silence we finally get an update shortly after hearing rumours of legal action. It may be a bit of a d**k move (if a threat was actually made), but it seems to have got the desired result.
Also.... The jester zombie looks better when its been painted, despite the fact that the painting of the face is the only thing that makes it look like a zombie. Pretty sure that you could make it look like a normal human more easily than you could make it look like a zombie.
I did call that there would be a formal responce, but did expect it to occur sooner.
Nothing to be done here.
A few pages back I wondered what to do about the naming, as we hadn't been notified. Dakka's solution of adding it to the order details was identical to that given just now. Thanks Dakka, so it appears I complied with the new instructions back in March.
I really like this zombie paint job. I want to see Gamezone own professional studio painted miniatures. However, whats with the basing.
Orlanth wrote: I really like this zombie paint job. I want to see Gamezone own professional studio painted miniatures. However, whats with the basing.
I don't think this is painted by Gamezone themselves or that they paid to have it painted.
It looks like one of those discards that were offered to several spanish blogs.
Maybe GZ really liked how this one ended up and used it.
More pictures can be seen here and at the end there is a note saying that he gave permission for Gamezone to use his pictures.
It is also said that he used one of his own bases for this miniature.
Interesting to see the 360* image, is he holding up his intestine? That and the nose are the only parts of the image that make the figure even remotely undead.
in fact with the severed nose and the size this would make a fairly good Tyrion Lannister miniature from when he was on the run disguised as a circus act.
Whatever he is holding, be it intestines or hem of clown suit it doesn't make sense. Zombies dont care if they or their clothes drag their arms either hang limp or grasp forwards, anything else is too much.
Never mind I am scrounging up some GW zeds for my set, if I ever use it as such. I probably wont even bother painting this zed.
Did anyone else just get an email from gamezone? Looks like it's the same as the recent update, but it's all in Spanish so I can't tell if there's anything new.
It's the same as the notification already posted by gpires a few days ago. Makes sense to do a mailshot alongside the webpage notificatuon in order to reach anyone.
Orlanth wrote: Not too keen in the wierd weapons, I prefer henchmen to be practically armed.
Still its a nice mini.
Yes, very nice details but again with some very weird choice of weapons.
Someone over at GZ likes his exotic weapons very much.
If they follow the same pattern as before, they will show a couple of new minis more during the next few days, probably the other servent, the male elf, maybe even the stone guardians or the male vampire but not much more than that. And I bet that by the end of the week they will run out of new stuff and start with the useless size comparisons.
For those of you still trying to predict when the game will finally arrive, the german preorder still maintains the 17-09-2015 date, but the spanish E-Minis preorder already says "RELEASE ON FALL 2015 ". And seeing the way things usually turn out with GZ, christmas is starting to look like a more realistic expectation.
She looks happy to be in a dungeon casting her first level spell at the first goblin she sees.
She will be less happy when the gem of her dress is ripped or her daddies staff scratched. She will be grounded for the rest of the year.
If only that was as bad as it could get. Maybe being tied up ready for sacrifice to he dark gods, or waiting to be added to the orcs stew is what is in store or her.
Unless the heroes prevent it first.
Nice mini, I had to pay extra for the pair as I pledged outside the free gift window (actually I put my pledge in with half an hour to spare on the last day. Still she and the teenage boy look worth the price paid, and can possibly use them to represent an adult gnome or halfling mage and rogue if ever I wish to.
So we can expect maybe a couple more new images then back to time filler size comparison videos, gpires. I suspect you will be right as usual, however in this instance I actually wouldnt mind a size comparison for the teenage girl and boy against an adult human miniature. That would actually be useful for a change, to see if they could also pass as adult hobbits, it was useful to have a size comparison shot for the tentacles of the abyss also for that matter.
No new videos yet, not even the comparison videos, and I agree that size comparison with the teenage girl and boy could be usefull.
Either ForjaYDesvan don't have more minis or don't have permission from GZ to show what they have, or even they are starting to get tired of the HQ25 stuff and are moving on to other things (in the last videos they talk about Kings of War, Age of Sigmar, and others).
In other forums there are some news from HeroquestFrance (the french translator of HQ25).
My french is not very good so I'm not really sure what he is talking about, but something about having seen pictures of the giant snake, the gargoyles and drakks , and possible shipping in November/December.
Please note that HeroquestFrance has said a lot of things in the past that usually don't happen that way. I don't think it is entirely his fault, GZ tells him something, the he writes in the forum and then GZ changes the plans making him look like a liar. This has happen more than once, but he could get it right this time around since Sagres, a spanish user with inside sources in GZ, is still betting on October and says that things have to go terribly wrong for the game not to be shipped by christmas.
I'll leave you the original post from HeroquestFrance:
I ran the above through three seperate translates.
Point 1 at the bottom appears to me to mean the writer agrees with Dionisio not to make updates, and shared undisclosed reasons why.
I can only think of one reason to avoid making updates, and having undeclared agreement from others hints that the reasons for doing so are the same all round.
Though I would be fascinated if there was any other reason, especially as the miniatures are good enough they really ought to be advertised.
From what we are seeing, and having reported seen October is a reasonable target, November allowing for delays.
And AVP is in the shops, told a mate about it yesterday evening and his copy is being delivered tomorrow. Why are backers having so much problems getting their while non backers are getting their copies, discount copies even?
If there is an October ship for Heroquest its actually then in a race with Dungeon Saga, which is almost on its way but held up in port in China for last minute printing.
Where is October coming from? The french post says November/December and I'm still not sure we'll see it this year.
Several sources. Including the Spanish bloggers who took a group trip to Gamezone and interviewed Dionisio.
More topically it is according to gpires what one of the most reliable sources on the Spanish forums is still saying:
gpires wrote: This has happen more than once, but he could get it right this time around since Sagres, a spanish user with inside sources in GZ, is still betting on October and says that things have to go terribly wrong for the game not to be shipped by christmas.
It's very unfortunate that GZ's silence is forcing us to rely on rumors and guesses.
But I think that the general feeling is that the game is very close to being finished.
Back when the Spring deadline was announced in E-Minis, several people spoke out saying that it was very optimistic and it was very unlikely that it could be ready before Summer.
Now some of those same people say that shipping before christmas is a very real possibility.
If you want some links about this, and since the thread about HQ25 at http://www.heroquest.es was closed by the admins, I have been reading the latest rumors at:
Gargoyle 0:40
Gargoyle on plinth 2:30 (we have seen this before, but not with a scaling miniature)
Snake 3:30 and(1:30 unfinished e-sculpt with scaling model)
Other news. A short while back I wrote to Gamezone about the coverage on Dakka and the lack of an English language review channel.
Yesterday I received a reply email saying that a bag of minis was heading my way. Pity the reply came just as I was leaving town for three weeks. It might take most of that time for the bag to arrive anyways so. In three weeks time I will see if anything has been sent, and if there is anything new I will take still shots with and without a space marine for size comparison.
In all likelihood this means claiming it from the local post office so all this will occur/begin on Friday 16th October.
I asked for a female vampire so I could try the sheer fabric techniques discussed on this thread. If I get one I will blog the paintjob.
I did ask specifically for the female vampire, some character, monster and furniture pieces. I also asked for anything we have not yet seen and gave a list including male elf and archer-raider (who might be the miniature we are seeing next to be gargoyle from 2:30). Who knows, I might have some reveals for Dakka. In any event I have committed myself to reviewing the stuff I get right here on Dakka,
It will be mid October, we might be told our orders are on their way by the time I get to do this, or we might still be waiting and Dakka will get to debut new sculpts, who knows..
Nice work Orlanth! Whilst I wouldn't expect you to receive anything we haven't seen before, seeing a photo or spanish video from someone online will be nothing compared to seeing the quality of the sculpts first-hand. I just hope they end up looking as good in real life! I don't envy the job of having to try and paint that vampire though!
With regards to the video, I REALLY like that gargoyle, the runes carved into the horns and wings look awesome. It seems huge though, no way it will fit into a single square on the board.
I don't know what I was expecting with the serpent, but I definitely wasn't expecting that! I thought it would maybe be coiled up, to occupy a 2x3 rectangle, not winding across what looks like half the board! I think this must have been why the broken wall markers have been included, there is no way on earth that that would fit in any of the standard rooms. I wonder if the different segments are purely for fitting it in the box, or if you will be able to slice it up in game. I can't say I'm blown away by its design, it almost feels too big for the scale of the game. Its a great sculpt though.
Congratulations on getting that bag of minis, Orlanth!
About the gargoyle, in the spanish forums they are saying that despite the pictures showing only 3D renders, some have already seen a physical gargoyle, so this one could not be has delayed has it looks.
As for the snake it is said that this is not the final design because the artist is still working on the head.
By the way, the miniature next to the gargoyle from 2:30 looks to me more like the "Condenado" because it has a sort of mask on his face.
I really like the snake, but was expecting one with linked segments, with and over/under horizontal split so the segments chain along square after square.
This instead looks like a solid piece, I cant see it being articulated to 'snake' down corridor squares, which was what I was looking forward to from the earlier rumours.
Still for someone who wants the set for miniatures it is a huge ugly fat wurm and could make a nasty and impressive monster.
When I sent Gamezone the email it was on the basis of the rumours that they were sending out bags to any who asked, as we are backers I thought it worth a shot, and gave commitments to follow up on that made sense. There is no English language coverage, so why not Dakka. I did ask for a small bag, so I don't know how much I will get, but in all honesty it would be greedy to ask for a bag like we see on the Forja Y Desvan videos, my painting is not that fast and I lack that guys fanclub of miniature painters.
I don't think that the door is necessarily being shut behind me, if you know what I mean. It would make sense for one or more of the pro painters on this thread to ask, so long as they are backers, and I think there are a few about. There is no shortage of artistic talent here on Dakka, and I would like to see what someone like Insaniak could make of that sheer fabric vampire bride.
Greetings. I returned home an hour ago, and will be busy until the weekend proper.
However my package from Gamezone did arrive in the meantime and contained what I asked except for any unreleased sculpt.
So no Dakka exclusive it seems sorry, or was there......
Actually I learned a lot from the package I received , and DO have news as yet to be commonly explained elsewhere. It might have been mentioned on a foreign language site, and has been showcase, but as yet unconfirmed. I will spill the beans when I grab my camera and review the miniatures for you.
THE MINIATURES
In the meantime here is a list of what I got. Nine miniatures in total:
Dwarf Eradicator
Goblin with spear and shield
Basic set Mage
Female dwarf
Insane Mage
Female vampire - I specifically asked for this model and will be blogging the paintjob here on Dakka.
Knight with spear - The other miniature I specifically asked for. I will be attempting a conversion to pollaxe.
Armoury rack
Sacrophagus.
RESIN COLOURS
What I will say at this point is that different miniature are in different coloured resin. The female dwarf and male mage are red from the basic set
The terrain and expansion heroes are all in grey.
The goblin is green
And the vampire is a light purple. Unexpected but good.
RESIN QUALITY
There is some flash on some of the miniatures, normally those holding shield like the goblin and it is due to connecting limbs and weapons rather than lazy casting.
Some of this flash is fairly solid and will need careful removal. There is a difficult block of resin flash on the female vampire that needs to be cut out of th folds of her shroud. It will be a bitch to do properly.
Mold lines are nearly invisible, on some miniatures I had to search for it.
OVERALL QUALITY
You have seen the quality on the videos on YouTube, however when you handle the miniatures for yourselves hopefully soon, you may learn that the videos don't do them justice. These minis are excellent, on a par with the Avatars of War and Corvus Belli sculpts. The Insane mage, one of the more busy and details pieces, and the Knight with his florid armour are excellent casts with crisp relevant fine detail. Others are simpler but no less crisp. Even the basic goblin mook is an quality resin casting.
The care to attention and style is evident throughout. Some of the poses and expressions only show the meaning when you hold the miniature in your hands. I thought the Knights pose fairly staid, it is anything but. The way he is looking (through his full helm) and the way he is holding his arms show an energy that a picture cant easily convey. Sometimes the detail comes at a cost of painting skill requirement, this is not a boxset for the casual gamer despite its name. The Vampire bride has as difficult a head as I imagined it to be, the layering of sheer fabric on her face is fully blended in in places and I will have to estimate where the shroud covers and where it does not. Part of the mold line could serve as a seam, though this was not intentional and her leg will need a careful shave. Still I am clearly noting details I didn't properly see before, like her delicate claw like hands which are really fine and show her knuckles and elongated finger nails/talons clearly. Again some under the shroud, others not.
Fellow backers, I had high hopes for Gamezone's production quality. These sculpts deliver to those expectations. You are in for a treat when this is finally all done and shipped.
Fellow backers, I had high hopes for Gamezone's production quality. These sculpts deliver to those expectations. You are in for a treat when this is finally all done and shipped.
That is fantastic news to hear
Many thanks for the write-up Orlanth you lucky, lucky bastard!
Thank you for bringing us news on this once again Orlanth!
I'm sure everyone here appreciates the work you are doing and will be waiting your videos eagerly.
On the spanish front, several backers have said that gamezone contacted them to verify/correct the shipping address of their order, or to confirm that their lack of "nickname/inscription request" means that they will no get anything written inside the box.
Great news! I'm really interested to see some closeups of the insane mage, from what I've seen so far it seems like a really busy model, so seeing all the details up close will be great.
Looks like Orlanth isn't the only one to get his hands on some HQ25 minis before the rest of us.
One of the stores involved in the pre-orders called Goblintrader has announced on facebook that Gamezone sent them the "good wizard" and "evil wizard" minis that are offered with the pre-orders.
Anyone that has already paid the full amount of the pre-order can drop by the store and pickup the mini, or it will be sent with their next online order.
For those that have reserved but have not paid in full yet, the mini will only be sent when the full payment is made.
Now, I know that these "good wizard" and "evil wizard" are not included in the crowdfunding and are pre-order exclusives, but I find it difficult to understand why the backers that paid almost two years ago have not received anything, but someone that goes to a store and pays now gets an exclusive mini right away.
I may be reading too much into this but it doesn't smell good.
Either the stores are pressing them hard because of the pre-orders failed deadlines, or Gamezone are in need of income and the stores won't send them the pre-order money without something in return.
I suppose that it is also possible that this could mean they have finally finished producing all the minis, and are about to start shipping the game to the backers but if that was the case then why won't they announce it officially?
Has expected, there are already several backers complaining about this in the spanish foruns.
I'm starting to feel a little dubious about it as well, to the point that I'm almost certain we won't be seeing our games this year. Why would they be sending out free stuff to people now if the completed games are going to be in our hands within a month or two? I wouldn't be at all surprised if theres still at least another 6 months to go, if we see anything at all.
How a project can go from 0-95% done in a year and a half, but then take over 6 months for the final 5% completely baffles me. The only logical conclusion I can come to is that they're simply lying to us, either in regards to what progress they have made, or to the fact that we're ever going to see a finished product, for financial reasons or otherwise.
I have the ducks in a row now, camera set up, a cleared desk to work on (in an over-cluttered small flat) graph paper for scaling, ink for highlighting details just waiting for a spare afternoon, and frankly procrastinating.
Tomorrow, promise.
One thing to be very clear on. I personally did NOT get any minis on the backs of complaining about lateness. I haven't raised that issue at all with Gamezone.
gpires wrote: .Now, I know that these "good wizard" and "evil wizard" are not included in the crowdfunding and are pre-order exclusives, but I find it difficult to understand why the backers that paid almost two years ago have not received anything, but someone that goes to a store and pays now gets an exclusive mini right away.
Because money.
See the Robotech RPG thread (which was 95% done two years ago when the KS started!) and the AVP thread. It's likely the company went into cost overruns, and needs more cash. Retailers don't fund KS, they place an order a few months before the product is ready to ship. So this mean cash-hungry companies ship to retailers first to get the money they need for other project costs, such as shipping to backers. It's common for a creator to produce product for backers and retailers at the same time to reduce production costs. But this means they need more money than what backers paid for production, which means the creator uses backer shipping funds for retail production.
Don't be too surprised if HQ25 shows up in European stores before backers are shipped their copies.
It is possible Gamezone underestimated the shipping costs. Apparently this is going to be a big box, and while shipping isnt free a heavy box can cost a lot more to ship than estimated.
I would not be upset if Gamezone starts shipping to retailers in order to raise funds to ship to backers. So long as the monies are used this way.
All of this is possible. It is also possible that this rumor is just a self-amplifying sound in a sound box, already seeding to other forums....
Is there any good evidence or a source stating that Dionisos wants to send to the retailers first? (on the other hand, it wouldn't be a catastrophe, either)
Anderas wrote: Is there any good evidence or a source stating that Dionisos wants to send to the retailers first?
None, it was always said that the game will only reach the stores after the backers get them first, and the retailers have confirmed this several times.
But, what is actually happening right now is that the stores have already received the two exclusive minis for the pre-orders and are giving them to the clients that pay for it.
You can actually go to a physical store, pay 99€ for a pre-order and walk out with the exclusive mini in your hands.
This looks awfully like a move from a company that needs money fast.
The official distributor for HQ25 in Spain, E-minis, has been getting so many emails about the HQ25 pre-order delays that they have decided to make a permanent FAQ for it in their website.
This is directed at the pre-order clients and aims to calm them down and reassure that they can cancel and get the money back at anytime, but also as some information that could interest us backers.
E-minis says:
"What we have seen and held in our hands on our trips to Gamezone is impressive: the wonderful miniatures (much better that the 3D images), the cards, the dice, the board... all is crafted with extreme care and detail. If there had no been so much care with everything in the game, it would surely be already out, but the result would not have been the same."
"WHEN WILL HEROQUEST 25 FINALLY BE AVAILABLE?
The first games available will be sent to the backers that sponsored the crowdfunding. Next we will receive this special edition and begin shipping immediately to all of those that have a pre-order with us. The approximate date that we have is September, I mean November... uh, well, there is still not really a confirmed date.
While Gamezone wishes that everything is ready by Christmas, we cannot assure that there won't be one more delay, but we make a commitment to inform about this situation more frequently.
Our personal estimation is that it will be ready in the first trimester of 2016."
"To make up for the delays, we have negotiated with Gamezone an extra mini with the pre-orders. You can now chose two figures from: evil wizard, good wizard, zarcon and morcar."
At least they have narrowed it down to a trimester, and not a a season of the year.
I was Spring 2015, then Summer 2015, Fall 2015 and now we have moved on to T1 2016.
Looks like HQ25 won't make it to our Christmas trees one more year.
Don't get me wrong, it's nice that e-mini's are doing this for their customers and making some attempt to keep people informed, but it's just more second hand, half-reliable information about a schedule that is so fluid it's almost a joke to call it that.
The only thing this genuinely confirms is that the plan is still to ship to backers first, debunking last weeks rumour about shipping to retailers to fund the deliveries to backers.
What we have seen and held in our hands on our trips to Gamezone is impressive: the wonderful miniatures (much better that the 3D images), the cards, the dice, the board...
So with the cards, dice and board allegedly done, we're only waiting for the remaining mini's, the rules and the DM screen (which is presumably being held up by the lack of rules, as it will probably have rules on the back).
The only thing this genuinely confirms is that the plan is still to ship to backers first, debunking last weeks rumour about shipping to retailers to fund the deliveries to backers.
It wasn't a rumour, no one said this was happening. I remains an option though if Gamezone cant afford to ship. I for one said I don't mind if Gamezone have to do this, and still consider this as so.
Orlanth wrote: It wasn't a rumour, no one said this was happening. I remains an option though if Gamezone cant afford to ship. I for one said I don't mind if Gamezone have to do this, and still consider this as so.
I know nobody said it was definitely happening, but it was a suggestion being thrown around (see below) due to the lack of any actual information.
ced1106 wrote: Because money.
Don't be too surprised if HQ25 shows up in European stores before backers are shipped their copies.
gpires wrote: I may be reading too much into this but it doesn't smell good.
TBH I'm really not bothered about this at all. I've had one KS that just completely disappeared that I've lost a fair amount of money on, another that has had the board game in the shops for months now (AvP) without the KS arriving. HQ25 has a long way to go before it drops to that level!
I don't think we've seen a complete model of the mercenary before now, so here it is....
Spoiler:
Seems like a slightly awkward pose, but I like his look and its cool to see another completely different style of weapon. Again, he looks almost identical to the concept artwork they originally released.
gpires, do you know (or is there anything in the description/comments that mentions) if this is how the finished model will be? Or is this simply a customised version made by Forja y Desvan? I was under the impression that the 8 core heroes would be full resin, so the metal staff is surprising. I also imagine that the pose would really get in the way when there are several miniatures around.
Gamezone have already added metal parts to the female elf. She has a metal hand and dagger.
Metal parts are added where necessary for resilience. As Gamezone know what they are doing with regards to miniatures production, as far as I see it I will bow to their expertise on that matter. If that pose is their artistic vision, I will go with it. They have rarely been wrong on style so far. If that arm and staff needs not to be made of resin, so be it.
There is still a chance the metal is just a temporary piece while they work on it.
This has for a long time not been an open the box and play within minutes boardgame. For that you want Descent or Dungeon Saga. Heroquest 25th weill be like opening up a miniatures wargames core set.
Frankly it is better this way. It isn't Heroquest, a child's boardgame. Its a high art re-imagining of Heroquest, for the sort of adult miniatures hobbyist who buys premium resin miniatures.
And we get it at a discount in return for a lot of extra items, quality and waiting.
Individual miniatures made of different materials will be present, assembly is required. Cleaning and preparation care is required. These minis are not designed to be used unpainted, not really. The red stained resin is just a throwback.

No explanation is given anywhere. Even when questioned in the comments, Forja y Desvan only say that the video contains all the info they can give.
Orlanth wrote: These minis are not designed to be used unpainted, not really. The red stained resin is just a throwback.
I don't agree with you on this, Orlanth .
The whole point of the red, green, white, grey and purple resin for the basic box was to allow play with unpainted minis.
That way you could clearly see the heroes, goblins, skellies, vampires, etc... and not just a bunch of grey stuff on the board.
Only the extras where supposed to be grey and with possible metal parts
To make a red mini with a metal arm is complete nonsense.
If people will be forced to paint it because of the metal arm why not leave it grey, but on the other hand this exact model was seen before without any metal.
Also this was not an issue before, the barbarian as a long and thin sword, the male wizard as a similar staff...
I really don't know what to think of this.
Maybe they are running out of time and have all the available machines (resin and metal) working in parallel to speed up production.
As usual Gamezone doesn't seem to work by the same logical patterns than the rest of the world.
Forja Y Desvan gets hand me down mins from Gamezone. This could be one of the prototypes, and they just boxed it for him. It qwould make sense to send an old prototype rather than a production mini that can go in a retail or backers box.
Also Gamezone have confirmed that some pieces will be metal. Paladina's sword for instance.
Again, one of the 8 core heroes seems to have metal components which is worrying, but I really like the model. I really hope the version that we had seen previously is actually one of the 15 additional heroes, because both are really nice. Fingers crossed this won't be replacing the previous design.
I'm definitely not a fan of the red resin and metal combo, but at least this elf looks somewhat better than the female wizard.
Hopefully this won't be noticeable after the minis are properly painted.
Have any of you guys had minis made of different materials before?
What are the cons (if any) when comparing to all resin or all metal minis?
Working with models made of two different materials isn't really a problem in my experience.
The only time using two materials is inconvenient is when gluing plastic on metal instead of plastic on plastic, as you are forced to use superglue instead of plastic glue. But plastic glue isn't really an option with resin figures, so sticking resin to metal will have little difference compared to resin on resin. This is assuming there aren't any large heavy metal components such as the gargoyles wings, but arms, swords or the occasional shield should be absolutely fine.
Apart from the extra weight, and the fact that it ruins the unpainted look of the model, the only issue is the fact that it is harder to remove flash and mould lines on metal than it is with resin.
Some of the early Mantic efforts were pretty painful to build. I think there was some shrinkage so you had to get stuck in with some green stuff. Hopefully Game Zones approach to QC will be better.
Has anybody seen or heard anything about this recently? All of my usual sources of updates are showing absolutely nothing, it's gone eerily quiet again.
It has been nearly 4 months since anything official came out, so based on their track record, we should probably expect another 'final' deadline for confirming our orders some time soon
Andreas, I would have serious doubts about them being able to pull that off, but I would love it to be true!
Regarding the vampire... Orlanth used to post in this thread almost daily, yet it's almost been a month since he last said anything. This leads me to believe that he's either been busy and unable to get the models painted, or that he's not going to bother any more.
Judging by the fact that he's finding time to post elsewhere on Dakka, but hasn't dropped in here to explain the delay, I'm guessing it's the latter. Which is a shame.
The main problem is that I have been an still am rather unwell.
I am away from home again, and didn't get enough done in the two weeks I was back home with the models. A bit embarrassing really.
Been posting on Dakka alot, but ignoring this topic for the above reasons. All this was a good idea at the time
Thanks well here's what Google Translate says until we can get a Spanish speaker to go through it
In short there may be an update near Christmas or January the game will not be available 17/02/16 as reported by some German retailers no word on when it will be done just it will be done when it's done.
Spoiler:
09/12/2015 VISIT gamezone
Good morning to all! How is it possible that ye have heard somewhere, actually, I went to gamezone this morning to talk to Dionisio Rubio Gil, owner of gamezone to answer a series of questions that are on the minds of all patrons and presales. So without further ado, I will relate the visit proceed. I hope at least we softened a little hope to have some information.
I reached this morning and Dionisio gamezone (which reminded me of the last time I went in August) has served me well and rapidly. It has made me into his office in the workshop and I've told the reason for my visit.
First, I have said that I have been due to the lack of official information provided gamezone and so great unease that is generating community forums and Facebook this lack of information, to give some light to the people is waiting. I have to say that obviously caught her ways away and was pretty busy, so I said that if it was not a good time, I could come back another day. He said that his was that it had to be called one day and told him that we have already tried several times through my friend xxxx xxxx xxxx, but we had not managed to contact, so I went in person. To this I replied that since I was there, I was not going to tell me to come back another day and was very nice telling me to ask what I want would attend. I wonder if he went as an individual or on behalf of any forum and told him that the two things, as I'm on several forums and Facebook on the topic and I would post it asked us to comment as I did last time. What's more, the update is printed with all I did in August to deliver it by hand to Dionisio for him to see that he had not invented anything and I tried to be as unbiased as possible, trying not to give personal opinions in the update.
I have to say, I did 7 updates in August and was quite impressed by the retentive I had everything that we discussed the last time was read. Then remove the battery of questions that led to a folder and began the interview.
I told him that the questions were personal as well removed from the questions many Forero did in his comments to give the highest possible response.
1. OFFICIAL UPDATES. WHEN? PROOF THAT WE WILL BE A "MEGA UPDATE" OF ALL THAT IS DONE IN THE PROJECT AND THE MISSING. SOMETHING to say?
Dionisio said it was aware of the delay in the issue of upgrades and takes time and planning and executing a major update due out shortly. (When?). You can not say, and have made videos, photos and several comments by a group that is responsible for the update. They have been seeing is a lot of content for a single update, so although it is one, they will split. As contained in the update, I will reveals that people playing video HeroQuest as a sign of how the game. Expect the update out at Christmas, but can not be sure because they depend on the upgrade is completed, gradually drawing, which can take us to January 2016. I reiterated that it intends to remove at Christmas so there is official news at that time, but can not be sure.
2. Is HYPE flooding NEGATIVE SOCIAL NETWORKS?
Yes, it is aware and understands perfectly. Knows that this is produced exclusively for their responsibility and understand that people are in their right, normal looks that is generating this bad feeling, is therefore expected to update calm some information needs of the people. (At this point I have discussed the burofax there are groups ready and that will probably come soon, as well as jokes that span the network, such that every time someone defends gamezone, Dionisio sacrifice a kitten) I said it burofax sees the exaggerated, however, also understands perfectly for the record and kitty he has taken with humor. He says that only kills dolphins to eat, which is not only for hunting. (As I say, it is in the tone of humor, do not carry forth tip). (Also discuss her about a comment from a Darkstone Forero commented that the game had bought for his son and asked if this was going to get the game, the father said no and told him that the child was it delivered kings. His father wanted him to understand that if not done the game, the Kings can not bring him and the boy replied that What do you mean? Kings are magicians, do so and to bring it) Then I I answered most serious that could hopefully do as the Magi and have it ready to send at Christmas. Who understands that is your responsibility and you are doing everything possible, but already he wished he could send to that parent.
3. AWARE OF ARTICLES OF THE PRESS AND HARTOS.ORG ABC? ¿OPINION ABOUT IT AND MEASURES?
If, on record and when he knew it, he got in touch with his lawyer to inform him of the measures to be taken. I said that after reviewing the matter, the ABC newspaper article was not in print, but on the website of the newspaper and the computer section, the wording seems made by a scholar who have ordered you a I work for which he was not qualified and has mixed HeroQuest in this. (Measures?) For no. After talking to his lawyer, he commented that there was a deadline to inform the drafting of ABC they made an amendment, which also have a timetable for publishing and that it could take legal action, but as it was written on article, did not have much sense, because although metia to gamezone in the same package crowfundings scam, the reality is that at any time refer to HeroQuest is a scam and therefore would be a waste of time as far as court he means.
4. FINAL DATE PROJECT?
No. You can not give any definite date. As in previous communications with, he insists he does not want to pinch your fingers with a date, because there are many things that can delay the project, and although almost all finished, it can not assure that it will be soon. What's more, it confirms that the HeroQuest not come out at Christmas, it is absolutely secure.
5. is aware of the dates given in gamezone GERMANY?
Yes. And you can not say anything, because as stated in previous communications, gamezone Germany puts the dates they deem appropriate, but has told them as they put a date is unrealistic even comes as far as possible (I reiterate that the date given is 17.2.2016) and I said yes, go as far as possible. It has precisely pending a visit by the Germans, who invited them to come to the factory, to see the level of output in the first person and expected to be surely in this December when they come.
6. The last time said it would be before December, we are in December. SOMETHING to say?
Yes. He is aware that they have not reached the date they had planned. Though he tells me that all the material of the basic game, if they had been quick would have come to December, but only they would come presales, no games for patrons that given the amount of add ons would not have gone and there is still a little. So not to harm patrons have decided to delay the start of presales and make all games and pre patron at a time. Everything will be taken when the level of patrons at the same time runs out. Because the decision to delay the output to pre-sales, have been seen with more time for the finishing touches of the game, that's why not still in print, and he was sent all at once so that production and hence carrying boxes, are made simultaneously.
7. TRANSLATIONS. DO YOU HAVE SENT? What remains? FROM ITALY AND FRANCE we HAVE EVIDENCE THAT HAVE NOT MADE TO GET THE RULES FOR translate.
The translation is done by professionals, which have not yet been sent to the translation sets "geeks" to revise the translation is in the "language" of our little world and overcome the errors that may result in a professional translation. (Why have not sent even if already made?) For as by delaying the delivery of presales have more time while they are completing the add ons of patrons, they will continue to review rules so if there is any significant change They will be translated. The costs of translation will be the penultimate to be made in the latest production and will send it to print.
8. GROUPS OF TESTING? JUMP news that a group of English WAS TESTING RULES. SOMETHING to say?
As? No. That is not so. If it is true that a group of English (Anglo-Saxon, he says), has played a game of HeroQuest, but that was no testing, it was as part of the update that I previously commented. They are those who will in updating playing HeroQuest oriented English. That's why this is a group of whites, residents in Spain, which have played HeroQuest 25. But it has nothing to do with the testing rules. That part of the upgrade, as is a video that needs further comments and such, I still is not done by this group to take care of the update are in it.
9. IF ALL THE PATRON be sent GAME AT THE SAME TIME, foreign and domestic ... We must understand that there is still FABRIC LIGHT OF THE RULES, LETTERS AND OTHER NOT TRANSLATED in some languages?
The first intention was to send first to the farthest foreign patrons, such as Australia, England and go closer to make a patron recent national shipments, as the idea that travel to other countries takes longer than domestic shipping, arrived almost all patrons at once, both domestic and foreign. But they have seen that this is impossible and has been responsible. That is, the repeated delays in the delivery of the game is well aware and understand that the game has to leave as soon as they arrive for the patrons and presales. That is why we have taken the decision to go under the sending games go by, both foreign and domestic. You know that this is motivated by its responsibility and that people are asking for sending of the games as soon as possible, so they are forced to refuse planning had initially for the games arrive sooner at the hands of who put their money and enthusiasm in the project.
10. PARTIES resin and metal. CHANGE IN THE PROMISED crowfunding. SOMETHING to say?
Yes. The decision to hold parts in metal, is for what he has said in previous communications. Some parts are very fragile in resin and have been obliged to take these metal parts to provide better quality and not bent or proceeding such parties. It is also aware of the uproar caused by this in social networks, but they have not decided now, but only now are pulling together all the pieces of metal production for a reason. It's easier to do it all at once and remove all metal production shut. As an example, I put the cage, which in principle would go resin, but as thin as the bars were not getting a miniature quality and finally had to remove plastic (not metal). He understands that is a variation of crowfunding, but is made with the idea of providing resistance to miniatures, which otherwise would compromise their integrity if the resin bring forth.
11. RUMORS ON POSSIBLE NETWORKS TO LACK OF LIQUIDITY delaying the project, leading to higher expenses for personnel, etc. ... something to say on the subject?
No. On this issue does not want to say anything. No he wants to affirm or deny anything about this, because it can lead to people believe it or not believe it and not willing to give fuel to the speculations of people. (I indicated that this would be something good could comment to give an image of solvency) he insists that I do not want to make any comment. (I indicate that I understand that is his right and if you did not comment on this question) I said no problem in that comment, but that his answer is that it just will not give any information on the accounts of the company.
12. COMPLAINTS TO THE POSITION OF THE PATRON. We are aware that more and more E-mails are sent WHERE THE TONE UP MORE AND MORE AND NOT RECEIVING a concrete answer.
Not only it is aware of the issue, but it teaches me many e-mails you have in your desk that made you get Isabel (again, Isabel exists and is a person of flesh and blood). I answer indicates that all but above all HeroQuest this project is its absolute priority. He shows me emails from people that requires (literally) to send them the same models that are giving gift in presales and tells me what answer to this? These are miniature gift exclusively to pre What I say? There are also people who require them personally specific information that they have not even made public and which repeatedly has refused to provide it, as the date of delivery of the game and also has recorded that as answer them , it published immediately. How do I answer that? My idea is to answer everyone and seek appropriate apologies but once you exit the game, not before. (I tell him what templates the famous reply that Isabel sends them to stakeholders who send mails) I say yes, that's right. There are templates for the role of Elizabeth is making utilies communications for the game, that is, if someone wants to change the dedication, if you have any questions about shipping or expenses, etc ... When Elizabeth asked things for which there has authorization to answer, has a number of templates for communication not stay off and know that the mail has arrived, has been and will be on hand to personally deliver it.
13. ALSO HAVE EVIDENCE THAT IS patrons are increasingly dumping their PLEDGE, selling or TRASPASANDOLOS. SOMETHING TO COMMENT ON THIS TOPIC?
Yes, of course you are aware of this. Not so the presales, because if not nullify or to the pre-ordering that does not arrive because they are outside companies gamezone distribution. At the patron it has very controlled because it is "direct business" say. They are the ones who have first-hand evidence when making any changes to the order. Still, patrons toss their pledge are scarce. While not even reach 1% of all orders (it gives me a figure of last month, but asked me not to tell because they are personal things that affect patrons). Personally it affects you in the sense that there is so little to leave the game when someone sells his pledge affects you because he knows that it is due to the delay leading the project and say something to those who have already taken the decision would be counterproductive, because what if I tell someone and not hold band and the game is delayed? With respect to return the money, he tells me that they have been returning until recently, but at the height where we are, the money from each patron can rest assured that is dedicated exclusively to the production of his patronage and who and what's left is for the last phase of the project. It also is aware that distributors money back with no problem when asked, and that money has not reached gamezone, as delivery is retained until the delivery of the game.
14. thumbnails. WHAT IS DONE? MISSING? HERE I refer to the a list that can easily find forum DarkStone and Chronicle role-playing I make MY FRIEND JOAQUIN LOPEZ, both of which had been in forums, YouTube videos (we all know who I mean) AND the ones we saw on our visit.
You do not want to comment on that. As I indicated, such as production issues, people make their accounts that can be adjusted or not without an in situ production criteria and can encourage the negative hype if some believe that much remains still or doing contrary, supersatisfecha people because there was so little to make, so prefer not to discuss this fact and no. (By the way, it was quite surprised by the very comprehensive list of partner and that he had no record when he saw). Let me drop some thumbnails as Draks, which tells me that this 3D process completed and is in "ribbon" to remove the mold and start production. Active gargoyle is made, both the 3D process and production, is fully completed. The cage also been finished, but ultimately has to be plastic rather than resin. I also indicated that the king's throne gobling have had to redo it again because it was not good. But he will not say anything more about it.
15. PRINT. WHAT IS DONE? MISSING? HAVE YOU DONE ANYTHING? HERE I turn to refer to a list that you can also find DarkStone forum and chronic role-playing.
Obviously if you do not want to comment on the thumbnails, less on printing. (Also surprised that there is a list about it on the web). You do not tell me anything about printing. I insist and I finally dropped some things, such as the back of the screen is still not finished because as lead tables and content rules, if there are any changes in them will also have them on the screen. It tells me that everything will be in color (both rules, such as adventure books, letters, etc ...) in the game will not be anything in black and white. It will not have illustrations in the rules or in the adventures, I is designed so as functional as possible. If Iran explanatory sketch move rules as thumbnails or as carry out the attacks, etc ... but will not be artitisticas illustrations but explanatory illustrations. I indicates that the rule book is finished (with possible modifications to the errata is the possible minimum) as well as basic book adventures. The book "the mysterious book of Sand" is in development and completion, that is not finished. What if I can say is that the impression is the last thing you do in the game, as it will be the last step before packaging and are all sent to the printer at a time.
16. EXTENSION OF Heroquest 25. ESTIMATED AT crowfunding them out? WHY they EXPECT WHEN? DO YOU GET WHEN WILL IMMEDIATELY HeroQuest or we have to wait a while?
Discard crowfunding not pull in, but the idea is if you can make as much as possible or take them directly without crowfunding if you can. The expansions will be drawn after the game is delivered, but immediately. It has already made part of the first enlargement on ideas, challenges, etc ... but it has not produced anything because the priority is the HeroQuest and delivery as soon as possible. It has several ideas about the extensions and even make a contest in which 5 of the best adventures made by the players themselves and are voted on the internet can get as enlargement. I indicated that the idea (which is what I had), is not to make an extension of thumbnails or rules, but provide more depth to the world of HeroQuest 25, so pay more attention to the background, maps and games that changes in rules or thumbnails. But these are ideas that do not take place until the delivery of the game.
17. STELLAR CRUSADE. WHY WAIT WHEN? Will he AFTER THE EXTENSION OR BE A PARALLEL TO THIS PROJECT?
The stellar cross is a project of the same scale as the HeroQuest 25, so that in the experience of this game will be easier to produce than the HeroQuest 25. The idea is to have ready and definitely done everything they can before of it out to crowfunding, but this will in crowfunding because if it is a large project and needed cash injection to finish it. What if it will be done in parallel with the expansion of HeroQuest 25? I do not rule, it can be perfectly parallel, as more oriented expansions will go into the background and depth of the world of HeroQuest 25 than production itself, which would leave production space for the stellar cross. Although this will not be immediate, because first you have to have reservations online store party or miniatures HeroQuest if someone wants to buy somewhere that is broken or a thumbnail that interests you. Therefore, first reserves to be conducted HeroQuest stores and then started with the project prime crusade.
Dionisio then showed me the tiller has been finished molds but still has not begun to scale production. He showed me a discard Tiller resin which had ruled that the nose of the same did not comply well (it was true). The scales out from the nose and circle and was very artificial, that was solved and already have the final design. Tiller size is more or less more than a quarter and the width can be about two centimeters and a half.
For skeptics, let them know that this time, Dionysius did not offer me any thumbnail and neither the pedi, although it was with the idea that if I the offer reject, as my intention is to get information, not thumbnails. He was not given the case, but hey, so you know some who criticized us for taking the last time five miniatures.
Well, so far my visit to gamezone. As you can see in the update, I have not included any personal opinion (or at least I tried) about it. I tried to be as concise as possible about the conversation we had not to feed the hype in one way or another. And each draw their own conclusions about what was discussed and I hope you have enjoyed the questions and the way I write, because I am no journalist and the truth is that I have a hard enough.
Just say that encouragement and hope that we do not wait very long at all.
Despite the fact that it doesn't say anything new and is basically just a rewording of the interviews we saw 6+ months ago, its nice to know they're still alive and at least claiming to be getting things done.
I really wish they would just focus on the core game and rules and ship that to everyone. Then the stretch goals/second mission book etc could just be sent out in a separate box once they're complete, sort of like an expansion. Sure it would mean printing an extra box for each level 3 backer, but it would make it a more practical size and at least allow them to start making some money.
More news from a visit to Gamezone, this time in english and by someone called Kraken.
If I'm not mistaken this is the same Kraken that was involved in very first kickstarter attempt for HQ25
He claims to have just been hired to handle PR for this project.
This should improve GZ's communication a least a bit, because there is no way it could be worse.
There is some non-official confirmation on this by the french translator that said he just finished translating Kraken's first message (presumably this one).
Slinky wrote: Very nice - Is that included in the game?
Possibly, but we can't be certain because the core game includes one Ogre model and the stretch goals add the second one. Theres no indication which sculpt this is, but if you've backed for a level 3 game, I assume you'll be getting this. If you backed level 1 or 2 (or are buying it at retail), then I guess there is a 50-50 chance you'll get this particular sculpt.
I agree. I don't really mind about the metal parts with the additional heroes, but I don't see the point in dying the heroes from the core box if they are going to have some metal components. It forces you to paint them, which means you won't see the dye anyway and more importantly, puts the basic game beyond the reach of any causal players that don't want to have to paint.
Regarding the gargoyle, assume this is the 'active gargoyle' and the one on the pedestal is the inactive one.
No you can't, but you can pre order the base game. However I'm sure someone would sell you their pledge if you look hard enough (I know I would sell mine).
Sorry migooo, you're two years late! But as 455_PWR said, you can preorder the basic game from gamezones website if you don't mind missing out on the stretch goals and additional heroes
As we have seen the models of the barb, dwarf and wizard already (videos linked in this thread), might I suggest people vote for the Elf? Will be interesting to see if we get any insight into how the models will perform in-game, or if it will literally just be the models.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Interesting to note that the artwork for some of the heroes has changed since the 'additional heroes' update.
After I have seen that they use their forms only 35 times and that they have only some few machines they work on with two teams each... Yes, it could take longer.
Seems as though they're letting random backers and fans post 'official' updates on their website now. It reveals nothing at all, other than a poorly painted picture of the 'wandering blacksmith' dwarf hero we first saw (what feels like) at least a year ago.
Today we've got a more substantial update, attempting to explain some of the changes between what was originally claimed in the crowdfunding, and what we will be receiving.
Hello Everyone
Today we will talk about one of the prickly issues that have caused the most confusion and trouble: The changes that have occurred in the project with respect to the crowdfunding.
But before we start we need to explain a few things.
When this project was started, and I’m talking about its concept state, one of the things that was very clear was that GZ wanted this game to be a new standard in quality, not only finish, but sculpted miniatures and scenery elements as well. They had to bring the games to the next level.
With this in mind the project was founded, but when Gamezone began working seriously to try to do things they had not done before, they realized that there were some concepts and ideas that did not work well, and in other words they paid for the rookie mistakes. Unforeseen problems arose, so they had to make decisions and change some of the concepts that had worked previously, always bearing in mind that the end result would always benefit the buyer, that is, us. That is why, with some delay, we will try to explain the changes made so far and the official reasons why they have been done.
CHANGE OF SCENERY EQUIPMENT
The first pieces that were built were precisely scenery pieces, as there are so many. To begin with everything it went pretty well, but soon GZ realized that some of the pieces were too flat and were getting stuck to the molds more than expected. Resin is a very aggressive material on the molds, which are made of a type of silicone, and degrade them quickly with use. That said, the pieces were to flat, such as door frames, landslides and others like it, were sticking to the molds in such a way that while removing them they would tire out the material of the mold, which left them useless. Another reason was that some parts were too slender, and because of properties of the resin, which is tough but inflexible, these pieces were susceptible to breakage, so this lead to a material change within the production of certain pieces.
OPEN AND CLOSED DOORS
With the doors the decision was something that came much later, once the material was changed to plastic. In this case the original design was the door frame, in which, A clip system was used to provide movement to the door. After much trial and error in design and a series of consultations with exterior designers, they realized that the Clip system in the plastic would eventually wear out and the door would end up not working as all.
So, in the box there will be what will be a series of closed doors and a series of open doors.
MINIATURES WITH METAL ELEMENTS.
As already mentioned resin is a hard but brittle material, so that the elements that are too lean do not pour well and are at high risk of easily breaking. To remove this possibility it was decided to make certain pieces in metal, a material that holds much better. It is preferable to the element bending and breaking.
The last news I’ve had in this regard is that, once the game comes out, GZ will be selling these pieces that they have changed in two versions, the resin and metal, so whoever might want to buy the pieces in resin can do so at a much reduced price. Some may ask, why have these pieces of resin not been directly put into the game box? The answer is, it was thought that users who want (and not everyone will) the resin version could purchase them knowing that they have more risk of breakage. While on the other hand it ensures by using metal for such delicate pieces that breakage will not occur.
Uncleaned miniature of the sorceress, the white on the arm is a white bluetac putty.
Personally, after seeing and working with both versions, I prefer the metal version, mainly because I had a mishap and broke my weapon, which would not have happened if it had been metal.
CHANGE COLOR OF MINIATURE
Another change for which some of you have cried out for is the color change for the extra heroes, about 8 heroes that will come in the basic box. In this case the change was made, basically because of a production issues. To be honest, GZ has to accelerate the proses to deliver the game as soon as possible, and making grey minis is faster than colouring them. But this is not the only reason, tinting miniatures is done by adding another element to the resign. The resin needs an extra product which is called a hardener, and it needs a very specific dosage, i.e. X parts resin must be added to X parts hardener, if the dosage is not done properly the miniature is, or remains soft, too fragile, so it is something which must be done with great care. To put color into this mixture they must add Z parts of dye, which makes the dosages different. And what’s the problem then? Well straight up it’s the dye, if you follow the dosage amounts that the resign company says to use the final color is too pale as the image below shows clearly.
The figure on the left was made with the exact dosage the manufacturer recommended and the figure on the right a much higher dosage created good color. Both were discarded for various reasons. To get a good color GZ needed as much as 5 times more than what the manufacturer says to use. The problem is not the dye in itself, so I am told, that is relatively inexpensive and the cost can be assumed without any problems, but a failure in the dosing causes the materials to behave differently that what is expected. For this reason GZ has had to classify some runs as defective simply because the color is not right or something strange happened (flaccid spears, sticks that break easily on touch, etc).
PRISONER
The changes in the prisoner seem to have generated the lest conflict, perhaps because it was one of the first things in the list that was not working well. The original idea was a prisoner who could be freed and used later, but at first what may seem like a great idea, is not so in reality.
The change in this case is quite logical if you think about it. The position of a person with their arms tied up does not look anything like a person whose arms are lowered, especially as far as clothes are concerned. When the designer were not convinced at all by what they saw it was ruled out.
Eventually it added a more miniatures to the game, that is, what was once a prisoner who could be released, is a chained prisoner and another miniature showing its release.
Well that’s it so far, I don’t think I have anything else to add at this moment. I hope this has served as a response to many of the doubts that have arisen.
I'm a little confused, does this mean none of the miniatures will be coloured? I don't see how the ratio of resin/dye/hardener can be an issue for the additional heroes, but not the core game elements. We've seen plenty of perfectly good red barbarian, huntress, wizard, female dwarf models. And frankly, I don't see any issue with the paler green goblin shown in the photograph anyway.
The prisoner and scenery changes are a non-issue. The door changes make sense, although I am interested to know what the proportion of open to closed doors will be in both the game and the 'additional doors' add-on (as I paid for one).
I can imagine a lot of people being annoyed at the fact that GZ will be selling resin replacement pieces for the metal components that they will now be using though. Personally I'm not too fussed, as I will eventually be painting everything (prioritising the part-metal models), but I can understand why charging extra for something they originally said would be part of the game will cause annoyance.
Everything has gone quiet again, but FyD have just uploaded a new HQ video. It doesn't show anything new at all, but it demonstrates how straightforward it is to clean up and assemble the miniatures. It may put you at ease if you're one of those people that isn't a wargamer and was concerned about building the pieces and working with resin and metal (gpires).

I'm not sure if I even care anymore.
I was very disapointed that they blew the christmas deadline two years in row, so I stopped checking the news on this.
If they ever ship anything to me I'll open the box and take a look inside to see if I still want to keep it.
It's been over two years since I handed them 110€ + 12€ shipping and so far I have nothing to show for it.
In fact if anybody wanted to give me the 122€ back I would happily sell them my pledge, like some backers were doing in the spanish foruns last year.
Only thing of note is the descriptions of all of the spells, there is no practical explanation of their in game effect though, just the general idea of what each ability might do.
After my last post here, I went ahead and put my pledge up for sale on the spanish forums.
(I had chosen a spanish version of HQ25 to prevent possible translation errors)
Sold it today, for the exact same price that I had spent in the crowdfunding two years ago.
I warned the buyer about the delays and the lack of info from gamezone, caveat emptor and all that, but he still wanted to buy it.
So I won't be following the news on this anymore.
But if you ever need help to translate some spanish text or video, drop me a PM and I will try to help out if I can.
I sincerely wish that you guys end up getting a great game, or at the very least some great minis when they eventually ship.
Holy cow; this is an epic boondoggle. How can people still support this? Obviously GZ wants to hang on to the money, but in two years they couldn't come up with this? Really? Descent didn't need this long nor crowd funding. And why wouldn't MB just squish it anyway?
Sad to hear that you are no longer going to be bringing updates gpires, but a big thanks for the updates you did post so far, they were really appreciated.
jmurph - Unfortunately this just seems like it will come in its own time, when its ready. To be honest I'm doing my best to forget about it (check this forum or the Spanish HQ25 one every month or so). In answer to MB squishing it, I believe it's to do with the copyright lapsing in Europe (hence Gamezone being a Spanish company picking it up). There are pages and pages of discussion about it earlier in the thread I believe.
It's also possible that Hasbro is waiting until product is released before proceeding. That's what they did with Hex and Cryptozoic, which resulted in a settlement (not surprising).
More importantly... Momovement??? I guess that English speaker is working overtime!
I got very jaded with this about October last year when it became obvious the 2015 deadline wasn't going to be met.
I was supposed to review some minis, I never got round to it and don't feel especially bad about that because the priorities are all backwards. Dungeon Saga delivered and I focused on that.
Those who would settle for just the pieces and make their own game will find me in full agreement.
When I think about the product I still have hopes to see it, but I dont think about it much, and have moved on.
Whilst its good to see something new and I like the style and fact that there will be special rules for each hero, the way in which it is written, or the translation is poor. Although it does say this is a WIP in the watermark, so hopefully it hasn't been properly translated yet.
Onslaught is a really interesting mechanic, but its poorly worded. the choice to use 'his' and 'him' referring to the little plastic man rather than 'you' referring to the player seems really odd. I'm assuming it also meant to say that you occupy the square the enemy previously occupied, rather than the one you've also moved the enemy into.
Seriously, if this is their 'professional' translation for game rules it's really not good enough. So much so that I'd happily proof read the cards myself before they went to the printers, just to make sure I eventually got a good quality product
If I've waited more than two years for 'momovement', I'll be pissed.
