If you could lead any army of your choice, what would it be and why? Also (optionally) describe your attitude toward this army and how you would act.
Personally, I would want to be the Hive Mind because I would have mass control over millions of aliens

40k? Guardsmen

Be a Commisar lord with a lucky plasma pistol and be something of a duelist with my sword. I would be a stubborn but honorable man even earing the respect of Astartes.


Now What I would want to lead the most would be in Fantasy, a Slanneshi warband.

....Shadowbrand the Dominator. A perverted handsome Lord of Slannesh. With a Warhost of adoring followers. We would travel the world and loot and pillage.

IG because I as a general would just send more and more guardsmen at the front.

An Ork horde.
My boyz would be the 'ardest and the Killiest.
And as Supreme-Arch Overfiend,I would lead buy example,crushing anything that stood in my way.

Either an Inquisitor, and have my pick of Imperium armies....or an IG commander. All I have to shout is "Fire!" and "Fix Bayonets!". The rest takes care of itself...one way or another.

My attitude to the functioning of this IG army is much like my attitude to my current existing IG army. I would have a wealth of Basilisks, and a wealth of men. I would hope that by the time whatever foe has made it to my IG gun line, that my Basilisk would have blown them to crap.

The way that I grind down my soldiers against the enemy, I think they would grow to hate me...the ones that make it. I do appreciate my men though, and have places of honour for those that do well. (A Lascannon team in a squad once killed a monolith 1 game, and a Redeemer the next. I attached them to my Company Command). Hopefully I'd throw the survivors a bone and make them part of Platoon and Company command squads as well. If that doesn't work I always keep a commissar or two handy...

In either Fantasy or 40K, Ork warboss is the only way to go. You get to bash stuff, boss people around and enjoy yourself all day.
Though realistically I'd end up as a Gobbo Warboss with a Gork Complex, yelling in a high pitched voice while farting from overexertion as my diminutive minions failed to accomplish anything of note.

I'll second Space Marine Chapter Master.

I'd lead major missions from the front lines, even spearheading the drop pod assault the precedes every campaign. I would aim to be a forward thinking master, not limiting the potential of my chapter due to superstition, following the mantra of "the end justifies the means." Above all, I would always keep in mind that the Astartes are first and foremost defenders of mankind, and would strive to ensure that innocent lives are always protected, regardless of the cost.

Plus, having tricked out artificier armor, and master crafted lighting claws with built in bolters would be awesome.

Obviously you are all forgetting the best answer of all...The Hive Mind! Only Gork and Mork aren't intimidated by it. And not to mention, you would have enough soldiers to outnumber well...everyone...except maybe Orks. Damn you Gork and Mork!

I wouldn't mind commanding a specialised guard company which operates almost exclusively in space, using modified "stealth" valks etc to infiltrate orbital defences, ship yards, space stations, enemy ships (etc) to plant explosives, disable systems and generally disrupt the defences for when the Imperial forces attack (often working in space suits on the outside of the structures).

I would like to be a relatively well liked commander who works well with his small force and who is not afraid of mucking in and getting his hands dirty in any and all aspects of the company's activities (from kitchen work to planting explosives and sneak raids).

I would probably weild some kind of power sword and use some kind of bolt pistol, with a backup of a las pistol.

Wait, your telling me I have to travel around looking for fights and remain in the general vicinety of them untill they are finished? Man, sign me up for the biggest aroumor around. Titan princeps of the Divisio Mandati (the all-imperetor one that only fights low tech humans) or, failing that, Terminator armor.
Actually, scrach that, I want to be an artillery commander on a backwater (AKA safe) planet with a well drilled PDF.

I would love to be a Greater daemon, probably a lord of change. Sure, you spend most of your existence trapped in a dimesional prison, and are ternally bound to serve a god who you can never fathom, but c'mon-You're a giant bird with a near limitless control over sorcery, with an endless gibbering horde of daemonic minions at your command, ready to loot and pillage the mortal world. Just got to watch out for those pesky Grey knights.

Even though they serve the Imperium, Daemonhunter Inquisitors genuinely are combatting evil. Plus they get knowledge and freedom unrivaled in the Imperium. Yes, I'd eventually go insane from chaos influence, but meh...

Either that or a commander of Gue'vesa regiment. At least the Tau give human servants some sort of liberty.
