If you could own one weapon or device from 40k what would it be?
Nothing to big like a deathstrike missile but tanks are ok.

A chainsword.

Seems to cut through most things in the grimdark without snarling up. I reckon it could replace most of the saws in my tool box.

Maybe a humble Bolter as well.

I'd probably chose a power fist or sword.

I'd probably have to go with a suit of Swooping Hawk Aspect armor with a fusion gun. Autarch set of armor I suppose. Flying and a nasty gun that vaporises things.

I was considering that, or abby's deamon sword.

But I'd prefer something I could wield, and wouldn't kill me when i tried to use it

A force sword, providing my mental skills were up to wielding it. I sort of fell in love with that weapon soon after hearing of it and I'm trying to get one for my DH character. I am also known for my liking of elegant blades and other sharp things.

The other I'd be interested in would be an agoniser whip.

hmmmm.....

-flashback-

the scene is: and old toyota corolla drives into the parkinglot (really gakky car.), as it parks, the bumper falls off.

A man gets out, carrying a tactical bag and 2 HS bags.
he also takes a box.

After much merriment and bloodbrooding. he opened his other box.

he procures a smaller box, made of metal.

when he opens it up, out comes a 1:1 scale replica of a bolter (resin, 2 clips and detatchable.) and a power fist.

an "unsupervised storekid drops the heavy bolter"

the resin bolter is smashed to a million pieces, and the chained powerfist is also smashed.

Moral of the story:

if you're going to take ANYTHING from gamesworkshop, it will have to be, the unsupervised storechild.

if you can't get one, go for the unsupervised tabby kitten.

thats just because the gun is so unstable you're only likely to hit 70% of the time, and thats twinlinked.

also, an assault canon does about as much damage as a blowfly.

where do the bullets come from, anyway?

The Lasgun. It is the only weapon that will never run out of ammo, and is easily understood and mass produced. Patent the technology, sell it and become the laser gun billionaire.

It also comes in handy if you need to microwave a hot pocket, shave, or defrost your car's windshield. I could find a million and one things to do with a portable medium strength laser.

Ammunition would be the key problem.

so I would have to go with one of the following

Lasgun (ubiquitious in WH40k, reliable, and would be able to patent the idea as mentioned above to become super-rich)
Las Pistol (as above, but smaller, and easier to use)

Frostblade cuts through nearly anything? yesplz.

Harlequins Kiss the fluff behind this weapon is pretty cool, a monofilament wire that liquifies the target from the inside out? yesplz.

If ammunition/weight was not a problem it would be pretty much any terminator layout.
