Hey all, well, tonight at my local games club i thought that i would star ta thread about ANY tales of epic orkiness, whether it be from an ork or a guardsman.

So, i'll start shall i?

Well, my warboss cost be about 110-120 points tonigh, and , well, i dont know if it's anything REALY speacial, but, he munched through 20 guants, 2 carnifexes AND a hive tyrant with 2 hive guard . Now, with my dreadfull gaming this is VERRY unusual.

So, any tales of orkiness are welcome, and i officialy state this thread as OPEN!!!

A couple weeks ago, my tankbustas were tankshocked by a landraider crusader trying to escape my warboss. A random tankbusta Death or Gloried and got a penetrating hit/wreck with his tankbusta bomb. I *never* DoG and struggle against landraiders, so it was an epic victory for me.

My Killa Kans the other day sawed through, three 10 man Grey Hunters, one 11 man bloodclaw unit and a wolf guard battle leader in terminator armour with thunder hammer.

They also shot and killed a rune priest in the same game.

And survived un-hurt till the end of the game.

Very Impressed.

The few rare moments that my grots have killed some pretty mean things. Mainly marine SC.

I've said it before, but Grot shooting is one of the deadliest forces in the galaxy.

Warboss with Big Choppa, Kombi-Skorcha, Cybork body and Eavy armor destroys 2 dreads, an entire Command squad with captain, and a scout squad. Now he wears Mega Armour and rides a battlewagon and dies every game.

Almost as bad as their flatulence.

In a seize ground game, I had a Mob of 19 ork boyz and a nob (with PK) holding a single objective in a small little building (was very cramped for those orks) I had 1 unit of 5 Assault terminators, and 2 units of 5 Terminators moving in on my orks, each turn my boyz would unload on the closet unit with there sluggas,big shootas and rockkit launcha, and they managed to whittle away those forces just enough so that as they got close enough to assault me (through cover), I always got the initiative and beat each Terminator unit before they could inflict any wounds on them. xD

Storm Boyz Story time...

Up on terrain, obscured slightly, 5 stormboyz take an wall of bolter fire from marines, melta shots, and more...losing only 1 to a single failed cover save...

Next turn, they launch themselves into the enemy, landing in difficult terrain...I lose two more....

The remaining two get assaulted by a dreadnought and died.


Epic, for 5 storm boyz atleast.

Twice recently I've won games because of my Meganobz. Once, because they killed Marneus Calgar and his remaining two honor guard and most recently because they killed a Trygon Prime. I always have my Warboss and Big Mek with KFF accompany them, but they always manage to cause a buttload of wounds!

Agreed, I've seen 2 grots kill 2 terminators in shooting.

One of the very first games my buddies and I played when we got into the hobby gave me my most satisfying kill.

My SM playing buddy has a 5 man termie squad in the middle of the table. The turn before, a unit of my boys rolled up in a trukk and disembarked behind it. I was ~10" away after disembarking and with the trukk in the front I knew that the termies couldn't get around to assault me, and I could just move it on my next turn and assault the termies with the boys.

So, on my buddies turn the termies take shots at the trukk. It gets destroyed and the KAREEN! result is rolled. I roll the scatter and roll double 6's right in the direction of the termies! The trukk rolls off that way, explodes and hits all the termies with the explosion. Saves are rolled and, wouldn't you know it, two 1's come up.

So, it's my next turn. My 11 slugga boys and their nob move up 6 inches and open fire on the termies. I get an insane 7 hits. The termies roll their saves and roll 4 failures.

We were both utterly stunned.

Well...I was playing Orks v/Orks, and my enemy's weirdboy (and a good chunk of his remaining army) went 'Ere we go, and mishapped into destruction.

Wow, im loving some of these stories guys.

I remember 1 game, it was me and a mate against another mate (orks/w/orks/v/sm) and we were playing Headquarters. My mate who was playing orks on my side rolled a 5 for his weirdboy...and lone behold for the rest of the game 30 or so boyz were happily sitting comfortably in the sm base. Only loosing boyz to a predator.

last week my Sag big mek shot himself in front 6 wolf guard, killed 3, and survived the next round of combat, when I charged a boyz squad in there and finished them off. Suffice to say, someone had to pick me off the floor. My buddy was not amused

Over the course of two turns, my squad of burnas boys scored 255 hits against two units of necrons, even T5 immortals fall down in terror with metallic fluid dribbling down their leg in the face of that.

The first time I played with my Orks this one happened.

A SM commander w/ relic blade was just trouncing my boyz. Literally walking through their ranks as if they werent there. Then a small squad of Nobz showed up to bring the hurtin. He started to rip them up, and so they ran fer it. Now I said screw it and started charging my boss towards the hardcore commander. My boss was a typical foot sloggin boss. PK, eavy armor attack squig and cybork body. So I get into range and assault the commander. Nomrally not smart since the commander will go first and with a relic blade, my boss probably would die fast. So the commander attacks and lands all his hits and wounds. So I have to make like 4 5+ saves. I do it with ease, and then show the commander how his tongue will infact be pulled out from his anus in one quick motion.

It was epic, KOed the commander in 1 turn

My burna boyz have done some epic things during shooting phases. One of my best was actually against another ork player - he was running Mad Dok Grotsnik on foot with a squad of 30 'Ard Boyz. Their battlewagon tank shocked 6" into these orks on a bridge, clustering them up, then dropped a template, hit 12 of them....x15. 180 hits is my record so far. The unit died, Mad Dok took a wound (he bites it later in the game).

I've also had Ghazghkull Thraka multi-assault two monstrous creatures and beat them to death over successive turns.

I was playing against my mates Orks with my Chaos last week. His Big Mek rolled double 6's for his shok attack gun twice in one game, taking a completely unwounded Abbadon and 6 Plague Marines with him in the 1st shot. The 2nd shot scattered off my sorcerer and killed 4 terminators. The sorcerer then went on to turn the Mek into a Chaos Spawn. It was a bizarre game

Just gos to show that Orks can endure the very worst of circumstances and come out on top, probably becuase they believe so hard that they'll win. And we all know Ork Believe is a powerful weapon indeed.

Right so, i thought i would try and resurect this thread for others with a story about my Warboss.

There he was, in the middle of an appocalypse game against guard, and his whole squad of nobs and a painboy dead, and he never fails a moral test. He then runs up to 5 russes, wrecks one, immobilises another...then gets a battle cannon to the face with the heavy bolters and lascannon...and survives to be shot by a sniper...shocked us all

Ok, here's mine.

With all due respect to Dashofpepper's burna boys (180 is tough to beat), my burnas did pretty good also. I had them in a BW next to a second BW with dr and 20 "ard boys. My opponent was nervous about my DR taking out his landraider so he drop podded a Sternguard vet squad led by a chaplain behind both of them. The vet squad popped the BW with Dr and killed a couple of my boys in the explosion.

On my turn I templated his squad with ten Burnas getting 60 hits. Wounds were abouve average and after all his vets took their one wound to die, the chaplain had to make 23 Invuln saves. Needless to say he didn't quite make it leaving my 'Ard boys to run for the next group and my burnas stayed safe in their BW.

Another epic moment si with my Stompa. On two separate occassions the Supa Gattla has more than made up for itself. Once was used to decimate four eldar squads parked right in front of it getting ready to assault it. The second time the SG was able to destroy 2 Fire Prisms, Wreck a third and kill four Scorpions from a squad hiding behind them.

Flayed ones charge the Grots. Grots proceed to beat the pulp out of the Necrons. Runtherd must have been picking his toes or something because he wiffed all his attacks.

Something similar happened to a friend of mine at my local games club...5 grots...5 termies...termies forced to RUN AWAY from grots...figure that one out...

My BW full of shootas 'drive-by' and shoot up a big squad of Blood Angels (led by Dante). Caught them hiding behind some terrain waiting to assault my boyz when they disembark.The BA take just enough wounds to test morale -and roll a 12! They flee! We are sooo close to the back edge they will be gone - but no! They roll snake-eyes. They're stayin'. No, wait again - jump troops roll 3 dice. Now they hit the big '6' and off they go! Bye Dante!

lol, i would like to point out that this thread isnt only for Ork tales...anything worthy of an ork, wether it be a tale of a space wolf or a lowly guardsman. If it would make an ork proud, it belongs here

My favorite is a 19 Grot unit surviving 4 rounds of intense Guard bombardment to hold an objective with the last 'man'. They came out of reserve and lined up all down my table edge in a conga-line at max coherency. The first one in line was on the objective. Every turn bombs rained down (no point going to ground - they denied cover saves). Limbs flew everywhere and the 'long green line' became shorter and shorter. Every turn they tested morale and rolled 2 - 3 - 4 - 2. In the end only one survived the leaf-blower, and held the objective. I have modeled him in a guard helmet, sitting on a big shell.

My Bad Moon army was facing another Bad Moon army in a tournament this weekend... I was outmatched by a better build/player and in desperation charged a killa kan squadron with a large boyz squad. The kans killed a couple of boyz, then my PK armed nob killed the entire squadron in 1 turn (2 combats)... aided by the squadron rules of course. Didn't change the end of the game much... but I felt much better about the whole thing.
