Hey there gents. Now I've had 3 PM's over the last month from people requesting/enquiring about me hosting anothert tournament/campaign weekend/whatever down here in Canterbury before the year is out. Now it's certainly a possibility, but odds are that if it does occur, it would have to be on the 18th and 19th of December.

Now before I go and start making room enquiries to the University and suchlike, I'd like to gauge interest and attendance numbers first. So how many of you chaps would be up for another Platinum Devil that late in the year?

I do study at the uni. I held a Dakka tourney there in May called Platinum Devil, which met with reasonable success. I've always been a little loath to get the AGS involved though, simply because I like to maintain control over my own stuff, and if I start using their offices in order to book rooms and stuff, it becomes their event instead of a Dakka one.

If chaps from the AGS want to play though, it's not too much effort for them to set up a Dakka account. ;D

Maybe, I might be heading down to Kent for Christmas so I might be able to escape and play

If I can sort it out with the wife and her family, then I would be interested.

So that's two yes's and two maybe's(one from me)......ideally I'd want at least 8-10 people in total to play, if I can hit that, I'll make the necessary arrangements.

Sure. As anyone who attended the last one will tell you, I'm good with pretty much anything, from Lost and the Damned, to tempus fugitives Admech. We're playing for fun, rather than out of any real need for tournament play. The last one was incredibly laid back and casual.

We played 1,00 point lists last time.

It enabled us to get five or six games played in a day and a half, plus a good boozy night out, and people went away at a reasonable time on the Sunday.

No-one was very competitive. People were playing armies that were fun and characterful rather than tuned for super power.

Should be able to make it, boozy christmas parties aside...

Would have to check with the missus first though...

I'd just like to say to anyone ummming and arrring about coming to this that the last one was VEEERY freaking cool. It was more of an event for banter and admiring other peoples armies than it was for competition. An excellent hobbyists weekend.

Unfortunately I don't think I can attend this time as that weekend we have my nans family Christmas meal. You don't EVER miss nans Christmas meal. It would essentially be suicide by family. :(

So as definite's at the mo, that's me, Reds8n, Killkrazy and Snarky. And as maybe's that's Silvermk2 and Rinkydink. That gives us a maximum of 6 total. If I can make it to 10/12, then I'll go and book the room, since then even if a few people drop out, we'll still have enough to play.

Red, I don't mind some of your friends dropping in, whether they're Dakkaites or not, I'll take your vouching for them as good enough. I'll probably use your name in helping book the room again, it saves so much hassle if they know there's a member of staff present, it means we get to avoid half a dozen of the bureaucratic hedges to jump.

I still have all the terrain from the last time, so if we set the standard six quid again, hopefully, we should be able to get a few small prizes this time, as well as a few new odds and sods of terrain.

I'll shoot off a few PM's to the various people who were in attendance last time and the like, see if we can drum up enough interest to make this happen.

I've been looking out for this.

Panic or ArbitorIan, when you see this, do you reckon you could get word to Bradley? I'm not too sure what his account name is currently to notify him, I think he said it was titan_princeps, but I'm not certain. Don't want him thinking we've forgotten him.

Ooh, well if I can get down count me in. Would love to meet a few of you guys. And show you that although terminators are awesome, they really can fail all 5 armour saves from under 10 rolls in one turn . . . quite consistently . . .

As long as it's fair. Mail me the Kroot list if you want to use it, I'll go over it, and possibly make a few quick adjustments for 5th if necessary. It's called a tournament, but the real goal here is to have laid back fun games with fun lists in a vaguely competitive setting.

That actually takes us up to ten people, so I'll go and take a look at booking the room tomorrow.

Jack you're a genius. This could work as an insentive to finish of mine . . . But I would have a month and a half to do it, as the rest of October is dedicated to Malifaux . . . Hmm . . . decisions . . .

There's actually a 5th edition version of the kroot codexc online. I'm just taking a gander at it now, if it looks good, I'll pass it along. It has the rules for things like greater knarlocs too.
