Sorry if this is old news, I did a search for related topics before posting this. Anyway, I was just messing around on the GW UK site ordering all the Necron products just to see if they had been discontinued yet, and the Necron codex is gone from the site. Its nowhere to be found even if you pull up the full list of Necron products! Good sign for the Oct/Nov release window I guess.

Does anyone know how far out previous codexes were discontinued before there replacement?

Also your looking at 3-4 weeks if you happen to want the Deciever model, everything else all in stock though.

Just checked the US store... and it is gone as well. Nowhere to be found.

We most likely wont see the Necrons until October as Ogre's are being released in September now.

Isn't this was happened to the Codex: Daemon Hunters 2-3 months before the Grey Knights release?

This would fit the Halloween 2011 rumor from last year.

Edit: I guess it was January of 2011 that we heard:

"On the necron front, sources say the dead will rise when the souls come out to play this year."

Uh oh. Looks like they phased out.

Frankly they, above all other necrons, needed a redo.

I know that is what people are saying but we have had a lot of Vampire Count releases and "dead will rise when the souls come out to play" sounds more like reference to Vampire Count releases to me though I too very much hope it refers to Necrons.

I remember that...its also a very fitting time to release the (robot) skeletons that rise from underground tombs.

Do the Daemon Hunter codex was gone long before Grey Knights came out like about a year or more and was only available as a small pdf until the week before they were released.

I'm looking forward to this.

The German Witchhunter Codex is OOP for 3-4 years now. And no, there is no German Sororitas Codex released 3 years ago

That said, all Necron news&rumour threads on this forum point at a November release, as does the rumour roundup.

Can anyone confirm this for the UK site? It said ships in 24hrs earlier. My phone is a bit unwieldy for checking .

They're up on the UK site with the "ships within 24 hours" clause. The codex is indeed gone.

Yes I can confirm the codex is no longer available. It is no longer under "Army Essentials" where the codex are usually. Also it is not listed in the Warhammer 40k books section along with all the rest. It is no longer listed on their site.

Good, it was starting to get mouldy anyway, languishing at the bottom of GW's undone projects fridge, like some long forgotten student's sandwich

pariahs are no longer available either. Not that my hearts broken. Immortals are still available though...

I doubt any miniatures will be removed prior to the re-release, unless they have a fairly low stock of those and run out before new models are released. After plastics hit, all those metal Immortals will be dead weight anyway.

But we might have to wait awhile for the next one? Boooooooo. I was really hoping for an Augustcron release, too. Although, I suppose that would have meant we should have seen something in White Dwarf probably.

My money is still on October for them. I've seen nothing to make me think they will arrive sooner or later than that.

On a side note, it would be amazing to see lots of Necron players at major tournaments again; it's been too long.

Its a shame that the C'tan are going to be weeker. the nightbringer when first released put fear in everybody. Now its the dark eldar that put fear into everybody.
