I think the rumors had said that warriors and immortals were going to be their troops. I'd have to go back and look through it all though to make sure.

Saving your pennies is a good idea and a good way to look on the bright side. Another good thing is i'll have more time to paint what i have already! lol

Hello everyone. This is my first post in this forum.
And I think a can offer some good news.
On the GW homepage nearly all necron models have vanished. only a few metal or hybrid kits are left.
I think this means that the metal crap should be sold before the new plastic stuff appears and it can be interpreted as a necron release in october or november

I'm saving up myself. I've managed to put $125 away, and I have a $50 gift cert to the Warstore. This is despite the very best efforts of the universe to bone me by having my car battery fail and having my dog need a $200 trip to the nighttime vet. Although I worked a 60 hour week last week just to add some cash for this, even what I have should put a pretty nice chunk in the army, I think, considering I've already got all the warriors I need, already have a Monolith, etc. I expect to only really be buying the codex, and hopefully some plastic immortals & flayed ones, and whatever new toys they get.

I think the site might just be screwed up. Warriors are missing from the troop list, but they are listed on the featured page for Necrons. If you add them to your cart, it shows you have $35 in the cart, but nothing in it. I would think they would just be deactivated if they were removed, and I strongly doubt they're going to redo warriors anyway; unless it's to reduce them to a box of 10 or something similar.

When I click your link, it takes me to a screen that briefly says "Necron Codex" and then immediately redirects to the GWS homepage.

It's certainly gone from the UK site. If you do a site search for "Necron codex" in the UK you get no results that match both words. If you list all the codex books it's missing too, so I would imagine that the Oz store hasn't run out of them yet

The UK site is acting bizarrely. If I follow the usual links to HQ, Troops and so on, I can see only a very small number of remaining kits (2 HQs, 1 Elite, 0 Troops!, 1 Fast Attack, 2 Heavy Support). There are links to suggested purchases on several of these pages to kits that don't appear on these pages however, and if I follow links from these pages I can see pages showing further kits that appeared unavailable. For example, Necron Warriors are not on the troops list, but if I find a link to them as a suggestion on another page, then follow the link to Troops at the top of the page they do appear. Immortals and the Monolith can also be found only as suggestions. This can't be intentional, but I can only speculate as to why they've left it like this.

I seem to remember the Dark Eldar section being screwy like this when they got redone, as they retooled the section for the release.

Could be rampant wishing, of course, but why would the Necron section of their site, which has been runnng fine, if covered in dust, for a decade suddenlybe acting screwy..

Its a conspiracy, i tell you!

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

I have found the links to suggested purchases linking oop models for other armies before, namely Orks.
I expect a bunch of new necron models will be up for pre-order this Satuarday following anouncement at gamesday.

Having them redo Warrior sprues makes sence since they are currently 4 to a sprue which is a bit of an odd number. If you belive the scuttlebutt of 5 being the new unit minimum, i guess they would have some squad upgrades on there aswell.

This is following the same pattern as DE last year. You can see that old thread here.

So, since Games Day UK is this weekend, I hope to see an announcement with some pictures by Monday.

The most interesting thing about this Codex will be whether we see any hints of 6th edition, and how Ward will turn them into Space Marines.

I know this isn't 100% reliable but my store owner said that his distributor said to expect Necrons (I imagine preorders) in the next 2 weeks).. Legions is a huge store so they have a better relationship with the distributors, so who knows

Maybe they're just trying to mind-feth us. They try to keep such a tight lid on everything and probably are aware of all the Necron rumors and decided it would be fun to mess with everyone.

Necrovember, lol. The idea of new warrior sprues is exciting (although it was already a good kit) but I'm a bit disappointed that Tomb Spyders are still up on the site (if being up is actually an indication of them not getting redone).

What a massive disappointment it would be to hear nothing about Necrons at GDUK. "Hey 40k fans, did you hear about Dreadfleet yet?"

It's so obvious now, why didn't I see that?!

Seriously, though what are they going to do with the plastic stuff? I've never seen those in the collectors section.

That would require some level of intelligence, planning, and an acknowledgment that the internet exists. So I doubt it.

They probably stopped making models for some time so its unlikely they have much/if any stock left. What is left is probably shipped off already I'd think.

Entropic Strike makes my mouth water:
Updated Scarabs
Fast Attack choice. Three models in base unit at 45 pts, with up to seven more at 15 pts per model. Fearless, Swarms, Beast, Entropic Strike. Fout attacks on the charge with 3+ cover save in terrain (which they ignore for movement purposes - like Harlequins) . Entropic Strike is a new rules accessable to several units in the codex. Against infantry on to-wound rolls of 4+, armor saves are ignored (Invulnerables allowed). Against vehicles on armor penetration rolls, each die that rolls a 4+, reduces the vehicle's armor by 1 pt on ALL sides for the rest of the game. Vehicles are destroyed when any of its armor values reach 0.

Sounds like a good rules. Does,t sound too over powered. so basicly every 2 swarm die for 1 av loss. so your trading 30 points for 1 av. only useable on landraiders i guess.
