Yeah - also I seem to recall you could down load the old codex for a short while between the old one going out of print and the new one coming out - I could just be talking cobblers - but I seem to have aquired it from somewhere .

Rumor has it that wraiths are getting options, so proabably a redo, ditto spyders.

Flayed ones really ought to be plastic, but i'm wishlisting there..

Last I saw, rumors were pointing to beefier and more ornate plastic Immortals and Destroyers, and bigger Spyders with three build options.

But we know how accurate rumors are these days...

Oh wait, those are generally good things. Sorry, bringing sense to a Ward bashing thread, I shoud know better.

Now, if it was Cruddace youd get entirely overpowered and bland, or interesting but meh to play. WIth Kelly you either get wonderfully balanced (DE) or hideously internally and externally imbalanced (SW)

Aww, I didn't even know who Matt Ward was until the Blood Angels & Grey Knights codexes (codexii?) were released. It's not like I had some preformed some agenda of hating Matty - who I'm well aware, for what it's worth, does not have a free hand in writing anyway: if it got in a book, several other people approved it, probably many other people.

My feeling of his work is that his rules are generally solid and balanced, his flavor writing poor, his fluff atrocious, and his naming conventions poor. Is that not an accurate summation? If so, I feel my concerns are squarely on-topic in a Necron thread; as the fluff is probably more important to me then having awesome rules. I know that's a minority opinion, but it's how I feel.

Or it could be that GW don't care much about Aus or NZ.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I'd really like it if he went more detailed on the World Engine bit. The fact of the matter he's mentioned two of them in both of his books (Space Marine and Grey Knight) has got me wondering just what those damn things are in actuality. Fully weaponized Tomb Worlds? Just more secret Necron toys? Or just another Michael Bay style thing of "oh cool must throw that in there just because!"

They must not be out of the books printed upside-down and backwards.

I can't speak to a reason why models would be sold out in some regions, yet available in others. Maybe something to do with where the orders are filled?

The rhino-sized Spyder rumour... well, it was retracted in a sense. The OP said that it wasn't quite that large, but it definitely wasn't a 3-up.

For the record, although the more recent rumors over the past 3 months have been pointing to August release for the Necrons, the rumors I heard before those rumors were talking about Halloween releases for the Space Zombies, and now those rumors are coming back around. Look to Halloween for our phalanxes to return.

They're not really all that clever?

Remember, to GW, being 'really clever' (as you put it) means 'stopping the Internet'. The sad part is that GW really thinks they have this capability, as if the Internet is something that is small and easily contained.

Haha, I'd forgotton about the IT crowd. Yep, that's probably about right. The GW board are probably still trying to figure out how to get hold of the internet so that they can shut it down or remove all traces of negativity and competition.

Ctan god should die on the first turn of shooting so will most of his destroyers, if his clever he should reserved his warriors.

For the monolith I would avoid it because it can't kill enough to damage your army.

Second round of shooting you should have blown up more necrons and aim for phase out in turn 3.

-----------------------------------------------

On to necrons, I have a box of them ready to be built when the codex come out can't wait.

I played Necrons again this week, I did indeed kill the C'Tan in an alpha strike, but I now find that the Tomb Stalker has borrowed the C'Tan's stick and has stuck me with it! :(

but...

I too now have a load of Necrons...
