Yours stocks those? I am immensely jealous. Is the store owner willing to sell to other states?

I was very lucky and got the last one from my FLGS Just check out small rural non-GW stores, they often have old stuff which sat on their shelves for years.

One of the smallest Metropolitan areas in the US, but I don't think he'll ship. He's not stocking any Finecast yet, only the required plastics and supplies.
As for the Tomb Spyders... I don't have any yet, but I'm not interested in working with the metal ones. I guess that I'll be dropping a few hundred dollars once the Necron plastics hit the shelves.

Good idea.

The metal ones are a bar-stool to put together, prone to breaking and like snapping off their base.

They do have a fugly kind of charm though

I'm hoping new ones have the same level of awesome as the Dark Eldar pain engines

Only thing I'm afraid of when playing against Dark Eldar is making my opponent sell his army after the game is over.

Dark Eldar are great looking models when they're being scooped up by the handful.

So, I may be stretching here, but the new TK Cairn Wraith and TK Tomb Banshee may be a guide to the packaging on the upcoming Necrons.

Both models are plastic, packaged individually, but fight in units of 3-10. This dashes my hopes of seeing a plastic unit box of Immortals and Wraiths.

But then again... there are still other single Cairn Wraiths and Tomb Banshees available. This is where I may be stretching things.

I'm not very familiar with fantasy, but I don't see the Immortals going that way. I think we will see a 5 model box with lots of options, much like the GK termy box. All speculation of course, but it just seems like that's what they are moving to.

Both immortals and wraiths will be in plastic and released in unit boxes. Immortals will be 5 to a box, and wraiths I believe are also 5 to a box. But immortals definatly. Not possitive that they will be first wave since I think alot of the new stuff is going to be released first to get people to spend their monies on it, but they should be out in the second wave in like may or when-ever.

I believe it was mentioned by one of GW game designers that a number of the models are being reworked to bring the different related Necrons to the same size. I'm guessing there will be greater interchangabilty of components.

White Dwarf had rules to field them as individual Lords/Heroes for Vampire Counts armies, so I wouldn't hold your breath on that. I can see plastic characters in the future though.

There are no Necrons even in the GW stores anymore, its a sign of an upcoming release generally.

Not always. Sisters models have largely been gone for almost 2 years and nothing new is coming out for them. Believe me there was quite a hubbub when the disappeared completely from all stores. Chances are even with this new codex they will stay gone too. Teh only palce that players can get them is to order them and receive them at a GW store or order online and have them mailed directly.

Sorry but i am still bitter about the summer of fliers...

1.) No Necron release in August, as the August releases are known by now.
2.) The first rumours on a Necron release this year (there was one last year as well ) centered around October/November and could still be true. Only later rumours expected them earlier.
3.) As I said several times, the "summer of flier" rumour is complex. It always contained the part that all fractions will get a flier eventually and several models have already been seen. Since the rumour started, three Codices have been releases with a flyer model (Storm Raven and Raven Wing, the third planned release delayed due to casting problems but confirmed). And ALL Codices since January 2009 except Space Wolves had a flyer/skimmer entry. So a trend towards flyers is obvious. The summer event rumour was the more speculative icing on the cake from the start (original wording:"There are currently 7 flyers in development...some complete, some nearing completion. Possibility for a summer "Flyer" White Dwarf to introduce them, including special rules.").

This is the news and rumour forum. If you can't stand (speculative) rumours to turn out false, better stick to the news.

Yup, complete and total fantasy

It was supposed to be a 40K thing, with each each race gettign a flier model.

To date Blood Angels /GK and Dark Eldar have one, and Guard have had one for a while.

No, Summer of Fliers pertained to 40k; Storm of Magic was Fantasy.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

This is good news for one of my gaming buddies. He's been unable to play his Necrons without getting completely annihilated by game's end for some time now. His one shining bit of pride, the durability of his monoliths, has even been undercut by another friend of mine who runs two conversion beamers in his C:SM list. It will be nice to be able to play against the T-800 army again.

Well if the rumor is true about Living metal then looks like monoliths will sit on the shelf next to the good ol' carnifex. That is such BS.

However, if the rumored 6th ed rules are accurate, vehicles are going to get a lot tougher overall. Be prepared for any vehicle pen that isn't AP1 to shake or stun 50% of the time. Considering this rule in that context on AV14 all around, Monoliths should still be pretty tough.
