Oh man. If the 6e starter is white scars v. Orks it would be hilarious.

Really though, if 6e isn't due out til july, then it would make sense that the may WD doesn't preview it. And I'm willing to bet GW wants to get those new fliers off of the shelf ASAP so people don't start saving for 6th, since there's that new price increase.

Hmm, maybe yours is different to ours then because i swear thats what the back of ours said last month....

I honestly cant believe they are stupid enough to not be making mention of 6th yet... WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE??

I can totally understand no preview as to not distract from the shinys of the month. But NOTHING? you would expect just a page, a teaser or SOMETHING to let us know that a new version of one of their flagship games is round the corner... I remember 4th was heralded months in advance with a nice big double page spread of a galxy map (if memory serves)

Or it could be that 6th isn't coming out until the WD spine is finished.

Man i hope so, July is looking pretty full for me already and tbh 6th edition was possibly going to take a backseat anyway....

I'm actually really surprised that GW didn't go for the obvious money-grab by making the Ork flier a complete beat stick.

If the Blitza-Bommer had been: 2 TL Deffguns at BS3 and 3 S9 AP1 one-use tank killa' rokkits how many Ork Players would be talking about buying 3 of them?

Maybe they did some playtesting for once?

At least the bitza-bommer and the dakka jet look like it. The burna bommer seems underwhelming though, it seems way too expensive when fully upgraded, and doesn't do anything every single other ork unit couldn't do anyways (kill light infantry).

damn, new Necron flyers are axactly what they look like in the codex (this is me not being so surprised by the model and how it looks) however, I do love these bad boyz, I do want to have them and I need them NOW!!

No the complete beat stick is the dakkajet.

Here's my idea of how to make the Bomma more appealing.

Funny thought I had when making this: there really was no good reason to give the Blasta and Burna separate unit entries... unless it's a hint that 6th really does have some sort of percentage system with anti-spamming restrictions. In this case, splitting the unit entry allows twice as many bommers.

OK, so everyone here needs to get one of the Ork fliers and a spare set of guns, just to turn it from a "DakkaJet" into a "DakkaDakkaJet".

But I think the hawk will also solve a lot of problems.
Ork players are complaining there is no plastic kit of the Deffkopta, well all you need is a Hawk and a massive set of rotor blades and Robert is your Mother's Brother!

I surprised at how many people dislike the look of the ork flyers. To me they're spot on. Apparently quite a few ork players never saw page 79 of the Apoc book.

I think it might be partially because we've only seen scans of photos and not the clear pictures yet, and the other part is that they're very "business as usual" for Orks. Both the Ork fighter and the Necron thingy look pretty much exactly how we'd expect them to, so it's not quite a surprise. I love the look of the Orky plane though.

Hating the Storm Talon, it looks awful. Like a baby Storm Raven which is no better.
