Just been re-watching Return of the Jedi (for about the millionth time) and had a horrible thought. What if GW have again been "inspired" by popular sci-fi culture and the new race is 40K Ewoks?!?!?!?!

Mind you would be worth playing against an army of them just to kill the little sods (like the game mode in Battlefront 2

).

That would be a great way to relieve stress.You had a bad day so you get a drink and kill 40 little bears in like a minute.Would be cool though. Go to kill bears...come home with 100 wallets.

1: AdMech
2:deathwatch (i hope)
3:the lost and the dammed
4:more Xenos
5: an old race getting a new codex
6: kroot mercenary's which some look different from normal kroot because they have wings because of their ability to take the best genes and take it as there's

The 1st edition included several species not included in the game today. Squats, Zoats, Slann, and Jokaero are examples.

I think (ok, mostly wish), it could be an army of mercs, privateers, civi's, hivegangers. Sort of a guild wars army, able to be hired by any race. It could include old favorites like, Beastmen, Squats, Zoats, Arbites, and space pirates.

Not sure but the blurb in Planetstrike talks about the fields they emit that cause hyper-aging and how most of an IG regiment that fought them aged so much that they had to be deemed unfit for continued service after the campaign...

That would be really cool, I love the idea of a merc army. But doubt they'll do it since you can just do an IG army and paint them merc colours with a few proxy models thrown in for the look of the thing.

As soon as the red-shirt said that a new race was being announced I thought of the Hrud because I honestly can not think of any other major "alien" race that could field an army. Before I could even say it, he said that it was (he believes) going to be Imperial. The more I think about it the more I think it is going to be Ad Mech. In the last year we have seen three Black Library novels that involve Skiitari (Titanicus, HH Mechanicum, and HH Fallen Angels). I envision plastic Skiitari kits with tons of weapons options as well as feathers and all kinds of extras.
