Nice to have found my camera again and be able to post some near comeplete pics.
Now the little red cape on the second pic is probally going to go, but I want to add something to help 'hide' my arm conversion, it was the AOBR melta arm before I hacked it.
The purity seal needs some disguising as well, might just add more seals or more of a shoulder cape.

Ok time for a non pic update
Working on the predator with tl lascan and baal turrets and like many, I wish I didnt glue all the pieces on that I did. Why dont they make a brush with a pivot head?
I found that my unoffical tank brush was worthless but did serve well as a bug poke stick for my kids.
Base layers are almost complete and Im still debating on the camo strips.
The Death comp dread is awaiting my return to cleanup/hide the right shoulder at this time a better flap to flow off the skull is probally the best way to aproach the issue and then just extend the purity seal existing.

Tread Dreadnought plans are now in the "How do I make this work right" phase.
Tread-nought is a concept of a techmarines Dreadnought and will have some spider arms and whatever high tech stuff I can come up with. The main body is a dread knight with some conversion work for the arms with regular dread arms, so from the waist up I got a good sense of things but the treads arent working so far.
A plastic tank from my kids toy chest was chopped and re-assembled but overall it felt to large and doesnt downsize well. Ive seen these http://shop.ramshacklegames.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25_27&products_id=57 and they look like they might work but Im not willing to drop the cash without some scale to work with. I might also just go straight to totally homemade but if one piece can work then thats what Ill go with.
Maybe Ill add lascannons off the sides of the tracks.

Anyway the glue he used was, well strong. so the model is now busted and will be used as exploded wrecks that I seem to have all my dreads end up in by any given turn 3. The good news is that I scored a hellofa deal on ebay for an Ironclad dread body and legs for dirt cheap. joy.
The other dread well...
Its a start, this one is currently planned as Death company dread, (will be rules ok for apoc games since I have no death company in my roster) This guy is the AOBR with the termie chest and some fantasy chaos head. Unless ebay graces me with another deal on right close combat arms then Im going to have to get creative and precise with the ole blade. Happy times are ahead.
After these two dreads are complete then the army with all I have is assembled, current point value is around 3000.
Sorry, might have missed this one, but where did you get the chain from?

Good job on both the dreadnought & the Marine, the colours are really original!

Treads progess is a random pile of bits tossed into a plastic bowl, as for a concept sketch well its just a triangle under a squar with two rectangles. Maybe if I was organised Id have something to share but really I dont think well.

Ok here is the concept look of the tread dread that was once a techmarine
Its really not easy to hold the camera and the fig and not be blurry.
Dreadknight torso and arms with ImpGaurd Sentinal parts filling in the lower body parts.
The treads are from something called 'Robogear, Hurricane' these treads fit awesome and I have found many that dont. (to that point I have an ork wagon treads that I dont need if anyone is interested)
So for full detail of this model project and to keep myself straight lets get into some background detail.
Tread-dreads are awesome and since Ive adopted Blood Angels as a codex and love dreads the Furioso Librarian needs to be forced into my forces. Now in personal fluff for this army (so far) Libby's are in short supply but grease monkeys are slightly more plentiful the most logical upgrade for a Furi dread would be a techie one.
Parts list and rules and other explainations
-Treads for pure awesomeness
- DK torso/core for magnetic parts and the upgraded dread look
-Bloodfist w/ SB, this will be the DK arm cut down with Venerable Dreads arm stiched in place
-Forceweapon ok here Im undecided, instead of phsick force Im plannin on something like a mechanical slow kill device (scissors, drill, or even sesmic hammer)
-Smoke Launcers yeah Ill probally add them somewhere
-Psychik Hood, This is probally some type of jamming device so simple antenna box would probally do
-Psy Powers, the fun part different arm setups that will be interchangable from the DK upper divits.
-Might of Heroes arms bassed of a normal techies servo arm
-Shield of the Sang Shield generator box/thing.
-Wings of Sang Tread dread with jet pack, wouldnt that just be epic?
- Smite, Blood Boil, and similar powers could be represented with various weapons but since these powers arent something I plan on using Ill probally skip them.
So lets see how long this project take me.

Well the lower parts are functional, now I can finally have a good look at whats only been in my mind.
As tall as a normal dread so thats good, the groin void definatly needs something simple to fill it out.
The one side panel is from the Ven Dread kit and it just fit wonderfully now I just need to find another one. Smoke launcer fits just over the Sarc cover and I GS the gaps around the Sarc.
So how did I do the legs? Well the Robogear parts and Sentinal legs cut right did all the work
I had an idea for the forceweapon, instead of a CCW 'hand' I was thinking of using the Dreadknight arm and hand then on the forearm install a laserblade weapon. If anyone has played the 'Armor Core' games then you know what I speak of, its an idea.
Does anyone know of a simple/preassembled way to get a jump pack on this thing? Whatever I do will have to mount onto and into the upper shoulder mounts of the torso.

The setinal legs are a great idea, gives some nice hydraulic details too! looks very tech, very unique, and very very awesome, ven dread plate fills that void very nicely. Have you tried upside down termie shoulder pads to fill the groin area, or a sentinal missile launcher

I have quite a lot of dread bits kicking about eg:
Lmk if there's anything of use. I have all sorts of odds and ends, I probably have other armour plates etc.
As for jump packs, have you considered using a couple of sang guard packs?

Well a good long look on ebay and Games Workshop and the Ven dread parts I was looking for dont seem to exist.
I have an old LasCannon arm part that I did cut down to size so I think that Ill just go with that.
The missle cod piece does sound good But I like the idea of a termie shoulder pad.
@Inmy thanks for the offer on parts, I may take you up on that in the near future.

The VanDread part that Im lacking would be a shoulder cover for what is the gun arm. To the best I can tell they dont make a cover part for that gun arm and if they did it would most likely be to square. If Im wrong then please tell me.

@ephrael, that may be the part I was describing but not the part that I needed.
@Wulfe, I had to go back to find that statment, thanks for reminding me of my lame lines.
Ok progress report
Filled in the right side with a trimmed up lascannon shoulder from the scrap dread parts pile. The paint didnt want to come off even after Simple Green did its work but it should prime and paint fine.
Started working on the blood fist arm (not pictured), cut what I didnt need off and glued what I wanted on.
The lower torse (groin) is now filled. I used the parts that I trimmed from the BF arm and added the flashlight to the undercarriage. Also added magnets to the torso mount so I can just glue the lowest part to the legs and keep the main torso serperate for storage/transport.
Added some junk to the backside of the tread/legs just to give it some bulk.
Im still thinkulating what the force weapon will be and given tonights progress that will have to be my next main focus.

The groin cover is great and the extra bulk up parts on the tracks are a good touch!
Are you going to cut of the scope from the dreadarm? you could then stick it above the ven dread plate where the hole is!
This is going along nicely, can't wait to see the arms

That might not be a bad idea, I was starting to wonder what I was going to do with those holes.
Finally decided what Im doing with the Force weapon.
Based of the anime "Big O" Im going with an attack/weapon the main bot has called sudden impact (i think). Its like a piston from the elbow that shoots out a force of pure kick ass out of the fist delieverd by the punch. Strange youtube vide of it from some wacky game, halfway into the vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0xgu2qxHJ0
I was going to do a battering ram drill arm but a certain member who is doing a variety of chaos themed Dreads pulled this idea off before I had therefore he stole my unthought of ideas from my future self.
